Robbie and Tony dive into their rise, fall and rise again. After the initial deserved hype of their 2000 debut Since I Left You, the Australian spent 16 years getting their second album together - turning down lucrative anniversary shows and commercial offers to preserve their integrity. Now their new album No Bad Memories, with features from Rivers Cuomo, John Glacier, Mike Patton and Portraits of Tracy, is peaking its full potential.

Another incredible new find out on Breakfast Records (Getdown Services, Mumble Tide, The Cindys) is Polhawan. Tim tells us about working with young people in music, the summer they actually cleaned THOSE Reading Festival toilets, and how playing a song to a friend or partner is so much harder than playing to a full room. Tim also plays a couple of wonderful tunes. Give it a proper listen: https://polhawan.bandcamp.com/track/things-you-do

Brian Fallon is back, baby. Not Bad For New Jersey, out 10 September, is his best batch of songs in years. He wears the same cologne as Blink 182's Travis Barker. He's down with the emo new school of Hot Mulligan, the potent trail of Modern Baseball and the legend of My Chemical Romance. There's even a new Gaslight Anthem album half written!
