Court Report is dropping EARLY this week, and there's a reason why. From shocking courtroom scenes to new evidence raising difficult questions, the first few days of November have already delivered some major developments.
In Ohio, Ashley Morgan is accused of murdering her boyfriend, Sean Reagan, and claiming self-defense. But what does the 911 call she made immediately after the shooting actually reveal? Brandi obtained the recording herself, and some of Ashley's statements raise questions that deserve a closer look.
In California, the sentencing of Larry Millete for the murder of his missing wife, Maya Millete, takes an emotional and chaotic turn as her family continues demanding answers.
Meanwhile, a mother in Oklahoma receives seven consecutive life sentences in a deeply disturbing child abuse case, and the long-awaited murder trial involving the son of TikTok personality Mama Tot faces an unexpected setback.
Plus, major developments involving Lindsay Clancy, Lori Vallow Daybell, Alex Murdaugh, and the murder trial of Robert Kessler.
And the week is far from over.
Another Court Report is coming later this week, along with a new episode of 13th Juror Podcast covering the latest developments in the federal murder trial of Matthew Farwell in the death of Sandra Birchmore.
The prosecution says. The defense says. But it's the jurors who have the final say.

Sandra Birchmore: The Final Witnesses | Part 2
What if the evidence that could change everything had been there from the very beginning?
As prosecutors wrap up their case against former Stoughton police detective Matthew Farwell, some of the most compelling testimony is still to come.
A medical examiner faces questions about a decision she made years earlier. An expert points to details that may tell an entirely different story. And when Matthew's own twin brother takes the stand, jurors hear about private conversations that raise even more questions.
But perhaps the most chilling testimony comes from the prosecution's final witness, who reconstructs the last recorded moments of activity on Sandra Birchmore's phone.
And the timeline is difficult to ignore.
With the prosecution's case complete, the question now is whether the defense can cast reasonable doubt on the story jurors have just heard.
This is Part 2 of our ongoing coverage of the Sandra Birchmore murder trial.
Matthew Farwell has pleaded not guilty and is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Bonus Episode: Inside the Cornell Chi Phi Case
Show notes
This week, we’re bringing you a bonus episode because this case is simply too big—and there are too many unanswered questions—to fit into Court Report.
Seven men who were Cornell students and members of the Chi Phi fraternity at the time are accused in a civil lawsuit of sexually assaulting a fellow student after a night involving alcohol and ketamine. Disturbing Snapchat messages circulated while she was allegedly inside the fraternity house. She later went to police, but no criminal charges were filed.
Now, nearly two years later, a lawsuit and new reporting from CBS News are raising serious questions about what Jane Doe told investigators, what was ultimately documented, and what information prosecutors actually received when they decided not to pursue charges.
In this episode, we go back to the beginning: what Jane says happened that night, what she told police afterward, the evidence that has since emerged, why the original investigation ended without charges, and why the case is now being examined again.
This episode discusses allegations of sexual assault and drug use and may not be appropriate for all listeners.
The allegations discussed in this episode have not been proven in court. The individuals named in the civil lawsuit are entitled to due process and the presumption of innocence in any criminal proceeding.

The Doctor & The Lawyer: FL v Tomasz Kosowski
Show notes
Attorney Steven Cozzi arrived at work on an ordinary Tuesday morning—and then seemingly vanished. His car was still outside. His phone, wallet, and keys were left behind. But inside the office building, investigators found blood, signs of a cleanup, and surveillance footage of a mysterious man leaving with a heavily loaded wagon.
What followed was an investigation that would uncover a contentious lawsuit, months of alleged planning, a hidden Toyota Tundra, disturbing digital evidence, and a trail that investigators believed revealed what happened to Steve—even though his body has never been found.
More than three years later, plastic surgeon Dr. Tomasz Kosowski went on trial for Steve's murder. But with no body, no jury, and Kosowski making the extraordinary decision to represent himself in a death penalty case, prosecutors would have to prove their case in one of the most unusual murder trials we've covered.
This is the case of Steven Cozzi and the trial of Dr. Tomasz Kosowski.

When Psychosis Goes on Trial: Andrea Yates & Lindsay Clancy Comparison
Show notes
Andrea Yates and Lindsay Clancy — two mothers, two tragedies, and two cases separated by more than two decades that raised many of the same difficult questions.

The cases are not the same — but understanding where they overlap, and where they don’t, may help us understand why the questions they raise remain so difficult more than 25 years later.
