Almost Punk Enough Ep. 44: Chloe "Coco" Kinnon of Winona Fighter
Show notes
Winona Fighter frontwoman Chloe “Coco” Kinnon joins Bad Dad and Dan to talk about the band's rise, their DIY roots, and their upcoming sophomore album, Brutal & Extremely Underrated, arriving 22 January 2027 via Rise Records.
Coco opens up about the personal stories behind My Apologies to the Chef, the emotional impact of connecting with fans, and the band's approach to recording music that feels unapologetically human.
We also dig into the new singles “LEECH” and “BOMBS AWAY,” political frustration, AI in music, life on the road, and the possibility of a Winona Fighter/Sincere Engineer tour.
Plus, Coco answers the questions at the heart of our podcast: What makes Winona Fighter punk, and just how punk are they?

Almost Punk Enough Ep. 42: Altarboy and Bad Dad's Ultimate Alkaline Trio Playlist
Show notes
This week on Almost Punk Enough, Bad Dad welcomes Sean Flanagan of Philadelphia horror-punk band Altarboy to tackle a deceptively difficult challenge: building the ultimate Alkaline Trio concert.
Armed with 15 nominations each and only four songs in common, they attempt to construct an 80-minute setlist balancing Matt Skiba and Dan Andriano, fan favorites, deep cuts and a two-song encore.
Along the way, they revisit their introductions to Alkaline Trio, debate the band's musical evolution, question whether "Radio" really belongs at the end of every show and confront some questionable punk-rock opinions from their younger years.
Plus, Sean discusses Altarboy's Alkaline and horror-inspired sound, upcoming music and their November animal welfare benefit show.
With locks, vetoes and some painful cuts, can they build a setlist worth paying to see?

Almost Punk Enough Ep. 41: Tokyo Rose
Episode 41
Show notes
After nearly 20 years without new music, New Jersey emo and pop-punk veterans Tokyo Rose are back, and they're not just here for a nostalgia trip.
On this episode of Almost Punk Enough, Bad Dad sits down with Tokyo Rose's Chris Poulsen to talk about the band's return, their new EP Never Say Die and why Chris genuinely wasn't convinced anybody would give a shit about a reunion.
They get into the band's early days, the pressures that drove them apart and how getting older has changed their approach to music, friendship and success. Chris also talks about working with Fred Mascherino and Steve Angelo, the surprisingly complicated math behind "Better When (Fibonacci x Pascal)" and the band's long-running friendship with Punchline as they prepare to join the 37 Everywhere 20th anniversary tour.
Plus, they discuss reconnecting with longtime fans, reaching a new generation of listeners and what the future might hold for Tokyo Rose.

Almost Punk Enough ep. 40: MC Lars
Episode 40
Show notes
On this episode of Almost Punk Enough, Bad Dad sits down with MC Lars to discuss The Edgar Allan Poe LP: One Year Anniversary Edition, the evolution of nerdcore and the unlikely intersection of punk, hip-hop and classic literature.
From the lasting influence of Edgar Allan Poe to the educational power of hip-hop, Lars explores how music can make literature more accessible, challenge traditional teaching methods and connect seemingly different audiences.
Along the way, we get into collaborations, the changing music industry, circumlocution and even a little (no-longer-Oakland) Oakland A's baseball.
Plus, we answer the all-important question: Just how punk is MC Lars?

Almost Punk Enough Ep. 32 - Scott Radinsky of Pulley
Show notes
Scott Radinsky has spent decades living in two very different worlds… as the voice of punk band Pulley and as a former Major League Baseball pitcher. In this episode of Almost Punk Enough, Bad Dad sits down with Scott ahead of Camp Punksylvania to talk about how those parallel lives shaped his approach to creativity, performance and identity.
They get into the mindset shifts between closing out games on the mound and stepping on stage in front of a punk crowd and how Pulley has managed to stay active and grounded through changing eras of the scene. Scott also reflects on touring, longevity and what keeps him motivated after years of performing and competing at a high level.
The conversation touches on authenticity in punk, the realities of life on the road versus life in professional baseball and how success looks different when you’ve already lived multiple careers in one lifetime. It’s a wide-ranging, honest look at a uniquely built career and a band still pushing forward.
This episode also features the Happy Campers kickoff for Camp Punksylvania coverage from That’s Good Enough For Me, with more interviews, reviews, and punk coverage available at https://thatsgoodenoughforme.com.

Almost Punk Enough ep. 30: Mike & Ed's New Found Glory Dream Setlist
Show notes
New Found Glory are hitting the road this summer alongside Yellowcard and Plain White T’s on the Up Up Down Down Tour… so naturally, Ed and Mikey decided to do something completely reasonable: build their ultimate NFG live setlist.
From Nothing Gold Can Stay to Listen Up!… covers, deep cuts, acoustic moments and even a little International Superheroes of Hardcore chaos… the pair map out their dream show while diving into the songs, sequencing and why placement matters.
Along the way, they somehow end up discussing Lisa Loeb, the Hat Guy, Corey Feldman, and briefly stumble into what may be the shortest pop-punk true crime podcast in recorded history.
