Behind the Bolter: A Warhammer 40k Podcast
Welcome to the podcast where Warhammer 40,000 meets hobby positivity, good banter, and the realities of life at the mid tables.
Hosted by Rhys (3's to Wound) and Damien (S0ldierzer0), two hobby tragics who live and breathe Warhammer 40,000. Rhys is best known for his viral Warhammer comedy content and podcasting and slow play, while Damien is a talented painter, paint judge, and seasoned player. Together, they bring a mix of hobby knowledge, tabletop experience, and plenty of laughs, creating the kind of conversation you'd expect from mates hanging around the gaming table after a big day of rolling dice.
Each week, Rhys and Damien bring you a relaxed and welcoming conversation covering everything happening in the world of Warhammer 40,000. Whether you're a seasoned veteran, a tournament regular, a narrative enthusiast, or just finding your feet in the hobby, this podcast has you covered.
What to Expect
📰 The Headlines: Breaking down the latest rules updates, balance changes, model releases, and Warhammer news.
🎨 Hobby Corner: What's on the painting desk? What are we building, painting, converting, and getting excited about this week?
⚔️ This or That: Can't decide how to spend those last 100 points in your army list? Torn between two units? Chasing theme, fun, or competitive power? Rhys and Damien help you make the call.
🎙️ Monthly Special Guest Episodes: Once a month, Rhys sits down with a prominent member of the Warhammer community to explore their journey, insights, opinions, and get to know the person behind the content. The guest? You'll have to tune in and find out.
This podcast isn't about chasing the top tables at all costs. It's about celebrating the hobby in all its forms. The painting, the gaming, the storytelling, the community, and the moments that keep us coming back to the grim darkness of the far future.
If you're a mid-table battler, a hobby enthusiast, a narrative gamer, a competitive player who doesn't take themselves too seriously, or simply someone who loves Warhammer 40,000, you've found your people.
New episodes every week.

Damien and Rhys squared off in their first game of 11th edition. Since they had most of the rules, as well as a can do attitude, they were confident they could muddle their way through. They pitted the elusive and cunning Aeldari against fear made manifest, the Chaos Space Marines of the Night Lords legion. Want to know who came out on top? Who got the most rules wrong? You came to the right place.
