Booked On Fantasy Podcast

Welcome back to the Booked on Fantasy Podcast! Join us as we kick off our spoiler-free deep dive of A Court of Splintered Harmony (ACOSH), the long-awaited sixth book in Sarah J. Maas’s A Court of Thorns and Roses series. This episode ran so long that we split it into two parts! In Part 1, we break down the cover clues, the title and its musical symbolism, the dedication, SJM’s note to the reader, and the book’s structure as Movement One of the Valkyrie Cycle. Then we dive into the Prelude and Chapters 1–2, unpacking Azriel’s heartbreaking childhood, his shadowsinger secrets and spying mission in Montassere, and the tense treaty talks between the Night Court and the Vallahan, Rask, and Montassere alliance.

You can expect theories, character analysis, and plenty of Maasverse connections as we explore how these opening chapters set the stage for the conflict ahead. Whether you’re rereading the book or experiencing ACOSH for the first time, this episode is packed with insights into the themes, foreshadowing, and character relationships that set up everything to come. Part 2 drops in the next day or two, and we are so excited to be reunited with our favorite Valkyrie, Nesta!

*This is a spoiler-free podcast for the rest of A Court of Splintered Harmony, but note there will be spoilers for all of the A Court of Thorns and Roses series (including the bonus scenes) and all of the Crescent City series. There will be NO Throne of Glass spoilers. If TOG ever needs to come up, we will give a clear warning first.

Welcome back for another episode of the Booked on Fantasy Podcast! Threshing Day by Rebecca Yarros has finally released and we are here to break down each story for you.

Last but not least is the spare heir himself, Prince Camlaen Aaric Baran. Aaric's Threshing went a bit differently than everyone else's. Every other rider we’ve seen seems to be claimed by their dragon, but Aaric flipped the script and hunted down Molvic and claimed him. We also got a lot of interesting lines and hints that there’s more to Aaric’s lineage and why it matters, plus some ominous ones about his plans for the war with the venin and for taking down his father and his brother, the King of Navarre. We broke it down line by line and offered up many theories, but even more questions. All that and more in today’s episode.

Each of the 13 POVs will be covered in an individual mini episode where we will discuss our overarching thoughts and any key details surrounding events, characters, or cross series easter eggs from Fourth Wing, Iron Flame and Onyx Storm.

Welcome back for another episode of the Booked on Fantasy Podcast! Threshing Day by Rebecca Yarros has finally released and we are here to break down each story for you.

Today it’s Sloane’s turn, and this one had us reaching for the kleenex Sloane is not in a good place mentally, and she goes into Threshing Day hoping she won’t survive, consumed by anger and grief over the loss of her brother. We also get a tantalizing scene between her and Dain when he saves her from being roasted by an orange dragon, and with it the origin of “EYES HERE” Daddy Dain. Then comes the emotional punch: we learn that Thoirt is Deigh’s sister dragon, just like Sloane is Liam’s sister. We’re not crying, you’re crying.

Today it’s Liam’s turn, as we go back to his Threshing Day. Xaden makes an appearance, and Liam is one of the few people in the world who can give him a hard time, which he does about Violet. F*cking. Sorrengail (Ya love to see it)! We also see Liam whittling a figurine of Deigh (awwww), and his overwhelming joy when Deigh appears. The two agree to bond so they can take on the evil of the continent together. Revisiting this chapter is devastating knowing Liam and Deigh’s fate at the end of Fourth Wing, and Rebecca Yarros absolutely gut punches us with the final lines. We broke it down line by line and offered up many theories, but even more questions. All that and more in today’s episode.

Today it’s Ridoc’s turn, as we go back to the day he bonds Aotrom. Ridoc has always been the comedic relief of the group, and his story is no exception. We learn that Aotrom is his perfect match, with the same energy and zeal for life, fun, and mischief, but also that the two of them are often underestimated by their peers. They play a fun game of catch-me-if-you-can, Ridoc wins, and the bond is sealed. We broke it down line by line and offered up many theories, but even more questions. All that and more in today’s episode.

Today it’s Sawyer’s turn, as we go back to the day he bonded Sliseag. Sawyer is determined to do everything differently this Threshing Day, including sticking close to another cadet, Trina. He still carries a lot of big emotions from his failed attempt at bonding last year, and being face to face with Sliseag finally gives him the space to process them and let it all out. We broke it down line by line and offered up many theories, but even more questions. All that and more in today’s episode.

Today it’s Rhiannon’s turn, as we go back to the day she bonded Feirge. Unlike so many cadets, she approaches Threshing with excitement and joy, and her squad leader energy is on full display when she stands by a fallen cadet. We broke it down line by line and offered up many theories, but even more questions. All that and more in today’s episode.

Welcome back for another episode of the Booked on Fantasy Podcast! Threshing Day by Rebecca Yarros has finally released and we are here to break down each story for you.

Imogen’s story did NOT disappoint. We got a scene full of romantic and sexual tension between Garrick and Imogen (we need a minute), a look at just how close Imogen and Quinn really are that made us miss Quinn all over again, and the reveal that Glane has been lying about her identity and was actually Imogen’s grandmother’s dragon. We did not see any of it coming. We broke it down line by line and offered up many theories, but even more questions. All that and more in today’s episode.

Buckle up everyone because this chapter was a big one. Bodhi's bonding to Cuir almost seems inconsequential in the face of the very loaded conversation he and Xaden have. Post Onyx Storm we were pretty sure Bodhi is the new brother, but after this chapter we are LOCKED IN. We broke it down line by line and offered up many theories, but even more questions. All that and more in today's episode.
