Week 9 Receipts + Recap, Do the Defense Rankings Work? and the Week 10 Waiver Wire
Show notes
Week 9 is in the books. An Air Force fullback turned quarterback, rostered in zero percent of leagues, scored 44 points. Texas Tech changed quarterbacks, and three backfields changed hands. This episode covers what happened and the usage underneath the points. Then every call from last week gets graded: the waiver list, Friday’s rankings, the defense sits and both Saturday listener questions, misses included. Next is a new test of the opponent-adjusted defense rankings. They held up at running back and quarterback, they only work at receiver once you adjust for opponents, and they show nothing at tight end. The episode also names the softest and toughest Week 10 matchups at every position. The show closes with the Week 10 waiver wire: ten players to add, with a start-or-bench verdict for each this week, plus two-quarterback streamers, deep-league matchup plays and conditional adds with clear triggers.

Week 9 Rankings: Thursday Night Receipts, Friday Night Start/Sit, Every Smash Play and the Gross Games of the Week
Show notes
It's rankings day for Week 9 of college fantasy football. First, the receipts from Thursday night: North Texas' 48–41 shootout with Florida Atlantic, where Tayven Jackson, Caden Veltkamp, Jahiem White, Easton Messer and Justin Stevenson all graded out at an A, and the James Madison backfield call we missed on Seth Cromwell. Then tonight's three games, Tulane at Charlotte, Baylor at UCF and Kent State at Sacramento State, with a start or sit on every player who matters, including Gavin Freeman, Wayne Harris and the rise of UCF's Keyone Jenkins. Then a walkthrough of how the rankings are built, including a new quarterback matchup test: a defense has to be soft on the season, soft since Week 5 and still soft with its biggest game taken out. Then the rankings: every Smash Play, plus the top Role Win and top Matchup Dart at QB, RB, WR, TE and DST. That includes Lincoln Kienholz and Kendrick Raphael at #1, why Jackson Gutierrez is a start against Notre Dame, and why Marshall's defense is a stream at Old Dominion. And a new segment to close it out: the Gross Games of the Week, the five games on the board you want no part of, led by UAB at South Florida. The full rankings at every position go up on X right after the episode drops.

Week 9 Thursday: Wednesday Receipts, CFF Games of the Week, Matchups to Chase, Tight End Report Card and Injury Check
Show notes
It’s the bridge to Saturday. The show opens with the Wednesday-night receipts: Boogie Woods and Caden Creel hit, one head-to-head call missed, and that miss taught a lesson about running back matchups. Then start/sit for tonight’s Florida Atlantic at North Texas and Troy at James Madison games. That’s followed by the debut of a new segment, the CFF Games of the Week: Saturday’s biggest fantasy games ranked by Game Score, with who pops, what we like, what worries us, and one call per game to grade next week. Next comes the Week 9 defense rankings turned into a weekend matchup board, with the quarterbacks and running backs to chase and the matchups to fear. Then the Tight End Report Card, which goes past route counts to find the tight ends who get the ball and do something with it. And the injury check closes the show, from Kamario Taylor and Kewan Lacy to a listener tip on Florida’s quarterback.

CFF Lab Day: Rostered Like Stars, Scoring Like Backups | Week 9 Wednesday Start/Sit + the Underclassmen Report
Show notes
It’s CFF Lab Day. We grade all 13 of Tuesday night’s calls, including a quarterback we undersold by 15 points, a receiver who scored 38 and a quarterback who didn’t play. Then the waiver market: who the market chased after Tuesday, which drops were right, and the bye-week drops you can take advantage of.
Next, start/sit for tonight’s two Conference USA games, Kennesaw State at Middle Tennessee and Jacksonville State at New Mexico State, with a call on every player who matters.
In the lab, the RB Usage Map puts 233 FBS running backs on one chart: how much of the backfield each one owns against how many points he scores. It shows the backs with big roles still on your wire, and ten backs rostered like stars and scoring like backups. We close with a new study, the Underclassmen Report: the freshmen and sophomores whose roles are jumping right now, before your league notices.

Tuesday Night Start/Sit, the Week 9 Matchups That Matter, and the Lineup Lab
Show notes
College football is back on Tuesday night, and every fantasy-relevant player in Delaware at Western Kentucky and Sam Houston at Missouri State gets a call before kickoff, including one quarterback whose return changes everything for his top receiver. Then it's the Week 9 matchups. Last week's receipts showed which positions the defense rankings actually predict, so this episode only chases the matchups that have earned it. Next is five numbers at every position: backfields that just changed hands, receivers whose target shares doubled, a tight end on the field more than almost anyone at his position, and one quarterback whose volume is going up while his points go down. The episode closes with the Lineup Lab: three real lineups, head-to-head start/sit calls, and what to do in a Power Four league when your quarterback goes down.

Week 8 Receipts: The Rankings Hit, the Backfields Flipped + Week 9 Waivers
Show notes
Week 8 is in the books, and if you missed Saturday, this episode gets you caught up before waivers run Tuesday. We walk through the five biggest fantasy stories of the week. That includes a backup quarterback who ran for more than 250 yards in his first career start, and four backfields that changed hands overnight. Then we dig into the numbers underneath the fantasy points: which players are getting the opportunities, and which ones are turning them into big plays. Some of the names leading those lists are still sitting on your waiver wire. We also grade ourselves. Last Monday’s waiver list, every call from Friday’s rankings and, for the first time, our defense rankings, and one of those tests surprised us. We close with the Week 9 waiver top 10, who’s heating up, who not to panic about and the byes and weeknight games that can sink your lineup if you’re not ready.

Week 8 CFF Rankings: Smash Plays, Role Wins & Thursday Night Fallout | CFF All Day
Show notes
It’s rankings day for Week 8 of college fantasy football.
First, the CFF fallout from Thursday night: George Pettaway’s hamstring injury, Marcus Stokes’ 39.9-point night in Memphis’ overtime win, and the touchdown games you shouldn’t chase. Then a walkthrough of how the rankings are built. Every player starts with his role, and the matchup has to be soft on the season and since Week 5.
Then the rankings: every Smash Play, plus the top Role Win and top Matchup Dart at QB, RB, WR, TE and DST. That includes Cale Hellums and Dilin Jones at #1, why Umari Hatcher doesn’t need a particular quarterback, and why JC French is a pass against Texas Tech.
The full rankings, five deep at every position, go up on X right after the episode drops.

Lab Day: Tuesday Receipts, Waiver Risers & Fallers, The Climbers + Role-Plus-Matchup Targets
Show notes
It’s CFF Lab Day, and it starts with accountability. All 18 of Tuesday night’s start/sit calls get graded: Isaiah Myers’ 242-yard explosion, the wins on JJ Kohl and Toby Payne, and the three backfield calls that blew up.
Then the waiver market. The biggest risers and fallers in Fantrax since Monday, which moves the market got right, and which drops were overreactions you can take advantage of.
The New Mexico State at Sam Houston preview gets you set for tonight.
Then into the lab, with two new studies. The Climbers: players whose targets, routes or backfield share have gone up three straight games, before the points show it. It’s the list that flagged Connor Lair and Devonte Lyons before Tuesday night. And Role Plus Matchup: players with a real role facing a bottom-30 defense this weekend, using the new 138-team points-allowed rankings.

Tuesday Night Start/Sit + The 138-Team Points-Allowed Rankings + 4 New Full-Time WRs
Show notes
Week 8 kicks off tonight, so the show starts with start/sit for all three Tuesday games: Missouri State at Delaware, Middle Tennessee at FIU, and South Alabama at Marshall. Who to trust, who to sit, the quarterback situations still unsettled at Delaware and Marshall, and the favorite play of the night.
Then the debut of the CFF All Day points-allowed rankings: all 138 FBS defenses ranked against QBs, RBs, WRs and TEs. You’ll hear how they’re built, why you can trust them, and the toughest and softest defense at every position. Every rank comes with its receipts, plus the Saturday matchups worth circling.
To close: four receivers who ran routes like starters in Week 7, before your league catches on.

Week 7 Recap: WSU’s New QB, Backup RBs Take Over & Early Week 8 Waivers
Show notes
Week 7 is in the books, and this episode covers what happened and what to do about it.
Washington State benched its starting quarterback for freshman Owen Eshelman. Receiver Branden Ganashamoorthy then drew 18 targets, the most in the country, and he’s rostered in 1% of leagues. Cincinnati and West Virginia combined for 87 points, and Texas State’s Torrance Burgess Jr. was the top scorer in college football. Starting running backs were missing all over the country, including Florida State’s Ousmane Kromah, who’s now out for the season.
We grade last Monday’s waiver list and every call from Friday’s rankings, good and bad. We also debut Room Rankings, a new segment on the busiest receiver, tight end, running back and quarterback rooms in the country.
Then it’s the early waiver look, with every add’s Week 8 matchup, plus the Week 8 byes and who to stash while their teams are off. Waivers run Tuesday, so listen before you put in your claims.

Week 7 Rankings: Smash Plays, Role Wins & Matchup Darts
Show notes
Week 7 lineup decisions, position by position. Every quarterback, running back, receiver, tight end and defense is sorted into Smash Plays, Role Wins and Matchup Darts, counted down to number one, plus a Proceed with Caution list at each offensive position.
Matchups are graded on what each defense has given up against FBS competition, and on whether those offenses did more against it than they usually do. The analysis covers what each defense has allowed and to whom, not just a rank.
In this episode:
• Number ones at every position: Marcus Stokes, Jeffrey Overton Jr., Jesse Legree, Joshua Long and the New Mexico defense
• The softest QB matchup in the country, and a 14%-rostered quarterback who gets it
• A Georgia running back at 8% rostered with Chauncey Bowens out and Nate Frazier questionable
• The defense whose receiver points allowed have gone up every single week
• Elijah Brown expected to start for Washington Friday night
• Why Notre Dame and LSU defenses come off the start boardThree Friday-night games are on the slate: Memphis at Tulane, App State at Coastal Carolina and Washington at Purdue. Set those lineups first.

Show notes
Five teams have quarterback news this week, and some of the backups are 1 or 2% rostered. The Injury Desk covers who’s in, who’s out and who to add at Washington, Colorado State, Oregon, Colorado and Washington State.

Whose Job Can You Trust? | Week 6 CFF Usage & Opportunity Report
Show notes
Five weeks into the college fantasy football season, the names we drafted—and the players the market still values—don't necessarily own the same jobs anymore.
On this episode of CFF All Day, we go underneath the fantasy points and audit the workloads that actually matter heading into Week 6.
Re'Shaun Sanford is 5% rostered while his workload is moving past 93%-rostered Makhi Hughes. Eli Wood keeps commanding targets every single week. Junior Sherrill's role survived a quarterback change at Vanderbilt. DeAree Rogers disappeared from the Week 5 leaderboard because of a bye—but his underlying job hasn't gone anywhere.
We also dig into emerging WR roles for Jabari Lewis and Alex Taylor, separate sustainable TE demand from touchdown-dependent production, examine growing backfields, and identify a rushing quarterback who deserves more attention.
Who should you add? Who can you actually trust in your lineup? And where has the fantasy market fallen behind the current depth chart?

Week 5 CFF Rankings: Smash Starts, Role Wins & Deep League Sleepers | CFF All Day
Show notes
It's Week 5 of the college fantasy football season, and it's time to lock in those lineups!
On this episode of CFF All Day, we're breaking down our Week 5 rankings at quarterback, running back, wide receiver, tight end and defense, using PFF usage data, opportunity trends, defensive matchups and Fantrax fantasy data to identify the players worth trusting.
We're putting players into three categories:
🔥 SMASH PLAYS — High-confidence starts backed by strong opportunities, established roles and favorable matchups.
📈 ROLE WINS — Players whose underlying workloads, target volume, routes or backfield involvement create reliable paths to fantasy production.
🎯 MATCHUP DARTS — Higher-risk, potentially lower-rostered options with upside for managers navigating deeper leagues, injuries or difficult lineup decisions.
We're examining emerging backfield workloads, consistent target earners, potential breakout receivers and defensive streaming options.
Plus, we're taking a closer look at the tight end position. Only ONE tight end earned Smash Play status this week. We'll explain why, identify the alternatives and discuss where fantasy managers may need to accept some risk.
Whether you're looking for a dependable starter or digging deep for a potential difference-maker, this episode is built to help you make smarter Week 5 lineup decisions.
