Brandon and Alli take on Predator: Killer of Killers, the animated sci-fi action-horror movie that expands the Predator franchise with three brutal stories set across different periods of human history. A Viking warrior fighting for revenge, a ninja caught in a deadly conflict with his samurai brother in feudal Japan, and a World War II pilot investigating an otherworldly threat all discover that even the deadliest human warriors can become prey when a Predator is hunting them. Directed by Dan Trachtenberg, the filmmaker behind Prey, this animated anthology takes the franchise's iconic alien hunters into new historical settings, combining savage combat, military action, samurai warfare, Viking battles, and the deadly technology of the Yautja. Brandon and Alli react to this unusual new chapter in the Predator saga as the hunters face warriors from different eras. How does this animated entry compare with the live-action movies, and which era delivers the most intense showdown against the ultimate alien hunter?

Predator: Killer of Killers is directed by Dan Trachtenberg (Prey, 10 Cloverfield Lane, The Boys, Black Mirror) and co-directed by Josh Wassung (Masters of the Air), with a screenplay by Micho Robert Rutare (Z Nation, The Rift) and a story by Trachtenberg and Rutare, based on the characters created by Jim Thomas and John Thomas. The voice cast features Lindsay LaVanchy (The Labyrinth, The Rookie, The Good Doctor) as Ursa, Louis Ozawa (Predators, The Man in the High Castle, Hunters) as Kenji and Kiyoshi, Rick Gonzalez (Coach Carter, Old School, Arrow) as Torres, and Michael Biehn (The Terminator, Aliens, The Abyss, Tombstone) as Vandy. With its animated violence, historical settings, and fresh takes on the Predator's hunt, this film offers a different kind of franchise experience for fans of Predator, Prey, Predators, Alien vs. Predator, and sci-fi action movies. Join Brandon and Alli for this CinePals movie reaction as they discover what happens when history's fiercest warriors become targets of an extraterrestrial killing machine.

Achara, Brandon, and Alli continue their journey through the Alien franchise with Alien: Covenant, Ridley Scott’s sci-fi horror sequel to Prometheus and a return to the terrifying Xenomorph-filled nightmares that made the series famous. When the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers a seemingly habitable planet while traveling to establish a new human settlement, they believe they may have found paradise. Instead, they encounter a deadly alien threat and reunite with David, the android from Prometheus, whose secrets lead the crew into an increasingly horrifying fight for survival. As CinePals continues exploring the Alien prequels, Achara, Brandon, and Alli dive deeper into the origins of the franchise’s terrifying creatures, David’s mysterious experiments, the Engineers, and the connection between Prometheus, Alien: Covenant, and the original Alien movies. Can the crew survive the horrors waiting on this supposedly perfect world?

Directed by Ridley Scott (The Martian, Gladiator, Blade Runner, Hannibal, Black Hawk Down), Alien: Covenant stars Michael Fassbender (X-Men: Days of Future Past, X-Men: First Class, Inglourious Basterds, 12 Years a Slave, Prometheus) as David and Walter, Katherine Waterston (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Inherent Vice, Steve Jobs, The World to Come) as Daniels, Billy Crudup (Watchmen, Mission: Impossible III, Almost Famous, The Morning Show, Justice League) as Christopher Oram, Danny McBride (Pineapple Express, This Is the End, Eastbound & Down, The Righteous Gemstones, The Mitchells vs. the Machines) as Tennessee, and Demián Bichir (The Hateful Eight, The Nun, Godzilla vs. Kong, A Better Life, Weeds) as Sergeant Lope. The film also features Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Callie Hernandez, and Jussie Smollett, with Noomi Rapace returning as Elizabeth Shaw and Guy Pearce reprising his role as Peter Weyland. With Ridley Scott continuing the science fiction horror saga he helped create, this chapter brings together alien creature horror, terrifying survival scenes, android mysteries, and the unsettling questions about creation and humanity introduced in Prometheus. Join Achara, Brandon, and Alli for another CinePals movie reaction as they continue through the Alien universe!
