Complicated Opportunities: A Cosmere RPG Podcast

Welcome back to Complicated Opportunities! The best thing about Mistborn Legacy is not the time skip, it’s what your first character leaves behind. Kyle and Irving break down how the game turns legacy into a living mechanic, where Era One choices shape the descendants you play 300 years later and can even change what you start with in Era Two.They dig into the six Era 1 legacies and their Era 2 counterparts, showing how each one creates different story moments, mechanical rewards, and roleplaying challenges. Kyle and Irving also explore what makes the system stand out: how player decisions carry forward without needing to optimize for the future, how legacy choices deepen the campaign’s story, and why the final payoff feels rewarding for both GMs and players.

Whether you love Mistborn, enjoy RPGs with long-term payoffs, or want ideas for making history matter at your table, this conversation explores how a character’s choices can echo across generations.
