Okay, I have a confession to make … I never planned to be a showgirl. At 5’3” in a world of 5’10” glamazons, I thought my only real talent was an inferiority complex.

I’m Maren Wade. Somehow, I became a Las Vegas headliner, wrote a column in Las Vegas Weekly called Confessions of a Showgirl, and now … I’m confessing on a podcast.

Some say I’m dramatic onstage, but you won’t believe the drama behind the scenes. Why? Well, for starters, some of my stories might not even be true. But honestly? I can’t remember which ones aren’t. So it all works out.

From getting stuck inside a giant birthday cake, to finding out what happens when the world’s biggest pop star suddenly comes out as a showgirl too … nothing is off-limits.

I’ll also be joined by some unexpected guests to spill even more secrets about the life — and chaos — of a showgirl.

So I’m not exactly what you expected in a showgirl. But the one thing I’ve learned, as a showgirl, is to expect the unexpected.
