What do you do when the place you're building to help rescue dogs becomes the target of theft, vandalism, and repeated break-ins?

This week, we're pulling back the curtain on something we've been dealing with at Flip Farms. Over the past few weeks, we've been hit by multiple robberies and acts of vandalism, and honestly, it's been frustrating, confusing, and at times pretty heartbreaking. We talk through what happened, how it's affected us, and what it feels like when a place you're pouring your heart into suddenly doesn't feel quite as safe.

We also get into the emotional side of it all—the self-blame, the sleepless nights, the challenge of staying open and welcoming while figuring out how to better protect the farm, the animals, and the future we're trying to build here.

But it's not all heavy.

We share some of the bright spots too, including the launch of our new rescue coffee truck, an incredible turnout from the community at Rancho Coastal Humane Society, and some of the lessons we learned from our very first event. We also talk about Flip Farms, where it's headed, and why we're more committed than ever to creating a place that brings people together around rescue, coffee, and community.

And because Flip is at the heart of everything we do, I share a special moment that reminded me why this whole journey started in the first place with my soul dog, Flip.

WeRateDogs founder Matt Nelson joins Rocky and Kelly for a hilarious and surprisingly heartfelt conversation about how a joke Twitter account became the internet's most joyful dog brand.

Matt shares how it all started long before the followers, back when he was a kid who couldn't calm his emotions, but the golden retrievers in his house could. In college, he fell in love with comedy, noticed that almost all of his viral jokes were about dogs, and launched WeRateDogs from his tiny dorm room. Four days later, the account had more followers than he did… and by year's end, it had a million.

Dr. Kwane Stewart aka The Street Vet sits down with Rocky and Kelly for an honest, funny, and deeply emotional conversation about dog shelters, homelessness, and what it really means to be a good pet parent.
