  1. Rimfire Radio Show 37 – Space Guns & Pineapple

    Show notes

Episode 37 spirals into pure degenerate anarchy as returning guest Dutch Walker joins the crew to confess his darkest secret—buying a Cabela’s-exclusive "Ninja Turtle green" Beretta Neos—sparking a vicious debate when Dan outs himself as a proud space-gun defender and inverted-pineapple-pizza degenerate. Between planning to harvest Dusky’s organs for a $50K cartel payout to fund custom .22 builds, Dutch showcases his lights-out custom CZ 457 chassis rig and a massive 20-pound .22 ARC precision build that knocked out prairie dogs at 500 yards. Over in the garage, Gat Lab goes full Cajun mad scientist, using AI CAD prompts and PLA filament to 3D-print a hearing-safe .22 suppressor on its side in just two hours. The chaos hits maximum overdrive as the hosts dissect $625 Rare Breed 10/22 FRTs, mock Lenny DW's unhinged Rumble chats, and fawn over Drew’s newly acquired M81 Woodland camo Angstadt Vanquish barrel. It’s an unapologetic masterclass in gun-counter autism, ATF loophole gymnastics, and catastrophic financial decisions.

    Question from Karl F

    Hey guys,
A bit of a random question, but I’m curious. What is everyone’s favorite video game character?
    Keep up the great podcast.
    Karl
    #MakePoliticiansAfraidAgain

    Question from Aussie John

Can you recommend a Holster for a IWB Canik Mete MC9

    Question from Rob A

I have almost no experience with suppressors, because everywhere I’ve ever done any shooting requires everyone wear hearing protection. What does the WLS crew think about suppressors with compensators, or compensator end caps? My knowledge of the devices says that the 2 things should not work well together for a couple reasons.

Question from Anonymous Coward from Florida

Good day to you hog rider’s. I’m torn between the rost martin RM1F and the full size echelon. I have the RM1C and I love it. But I figured I’d ask the pros. Since you guys own both or maybe it’s just Shawn. Thanks again and keep kicking ass.

Question from Anonymous Coward from Washington

Clit MythIf you were to kill yourself, would you use a firearm? And what firearm would you use?
    I’d use a 6 inch S&W model 66. Cause I’m going to hell.

Question from Anonymous Coward from Washington

I haven’t heard you guys talk about ACE VR in a while, is it still worth it as a training aid?

  10. AK-47 Radio Show 056 – Training Wheels Edition (Carbine Class)

    Show notes

This week on AK Radio, Mike and Will venture out into the real world to attend a carbine training class and discover what happens when you actually have to do more than shoot at a stationary target from a bench.
The comrades sit down to discuss their experiences, lessons learned, gear that worked, gear that didn't, and the inevitable realization that spending money on rifles and accessories doesn't automatically make you a better shooter.

From rifle handling and practical shooting drills to firearms training, equipment choices, and the never-ending pursuit of proficiency, the boys talk through their experience on the range.

Come for the gun talk, stay for the questionable marksmanship.

  11. Hunters HD Gold Behind the Lens 329 – Episode 329 Hunters HD Gold, Behind the Lens LIVE Podcast Event with Jake and Nils.

    Show notes

Brian and Jake sit down with Nils fresh off three straight national titles in three weeks: Factory Gun Nationals, IDPA Nationals, and IPSC Nationals. Nils walked through his approach to balancing roughly 80% competition shooting with 20% product development work for Canik, splitting time between the US and Turkey on new releases timed around SHOT Show and NRA. He explained how he keeps his gear setup locked to the most restrictive discipline (IPSC) year round so he never has to change habits across matches, and how he loads 20 to 30,000 rounds of match quality 9mm every January to prepare for the season. The conversation covered the shift in IDPA Nationals culture, which Nils credited to a more shooter-focused staff this year, with Jake adding that the “old guard of gotcha” mentality has given way to better educated ROs held accountable by competitors who know the current rules. They dug into the growth of media coverage at matches (Action Streaming Live, Shooting USA, F5 Productions, True Shot Media, and others), with Jake noting over 7 million views across USPSA and ASL Instagram channels in just the past 60 days and Brian reporting over 306,000 Rumble viewers in 90 days. Nils shared his thoughts on the IPSC Nationals shoot off at Greater Pittsburgh Gun Club (best IPSC match he has shot in the US, but the shoot off needed better lighting and planning), his love for shooting iron sights and single stack, his year of 25 major matches, and his 2026 schedule including an upcoming IDPA Carry Optics regional in Texas and the Barry’s Steel Open in St George. He discussed Canik’s elevation of Turkish manufacturing perception, the division debate around Carry Optics and Limited Optics, and the Christian Sailer vs Eric Grauffel matchup he called with Leighton on Action Streaming Live. Nils closed with his ultimate goal: bringing a gold medal back to the US at the 2029 IPSC World Shoot in Italy, likely in Production Division, which would mark 15 years since his only IPSC World Championship title in 2014.

Reality Check on Selling Used Guns from a Gun Store Owner

A gun store owner provides practical advice for individuals looking to sell firearms, emphasizing that stores buy at wholesale to resell at a profit, resulting in offers significantly below retail or online private sale values. Condition, make, model, and current market demand heavily influence offers, with common guns often yielding low returns while rare or high-demand items fare better. Sellers are encouraged to understand these economics before visiting a shop.

Availability: Best Use Case (selling/trading-in used firearms at retail gun stores rather than private sale or auction)
Special: Pro: Quick, legal transaction with no advertising or stranger meetings; Con: Significantly lower payout than private sale due to store’s resale margin and overhead

Gun Control Industry Frustrated Their Attempts To Induce Fear In Young Adults Doesnt Always Have The Desired Effect

March for Our Lives faces funding cuts, questions gun laws after Oregon school shooting incident.
A Shooting News Weekly article in the “Going Ballistic” segment argues that gun control organizations’ strategy of using fear-based messaging to influence young adults on firearms policy has produced mixed results. Rather than uniformly driving support for stricter laws, the approach has sometimes led to increased interest in gun ownership and self-defense among younger demographics. The piece highlights polling and cultural trends showing that fear induction does not consistently translate into the intended political outcomes.

The Gist: Affects U.S. young adults (primarily ages 18-29) and national gun control advocacy organizations such as those promoting restrictive firearms legislation.
Impact: Undermines the political effectiveness of fear-based advocacy campaigns; may contribute to rising firearms ownership and Second Amendment support among younger voters, complicating legislative efforts at federal and state levels.
Bottom Line: Fear-based gun control messaging does not always produce the desired anti-gun sentiment in young adults and can backfire by encouraging personal firearms acquisition.

Researchers Train AI to Detect Concealed Handguns Using Wi-Fi Signals — Open-Source WiFireNet on 802.11a

The experimental prototype cannot pinpoint the weapon's location on the carrier
Researchers developed WiFireNet, an open-source AI system that detects concealed handguns by analyzing distortions in Wi-Fi signals caused by metal objects. The model was trained and tested on the older 802.11a standard, using Channel State Information (CSI) to identify how weapons alter wireless signal propagation. It achieves high precision in controlled environments without requiring cameras or traditional sensors.

The Gist: Affects public spaces, transportation hubs, and venues using legacy 802.11a Wi-Fi infrastructure; tested on human subjects carrying or not carrying firearms in various configurations.
Impact: Enables non-visual, privacy-preserving weapon detection for security screening; raises questions around surveillance expansion, data privacy of Wi-Fi CSI, and potential use in law enforcement or private security without physical pat-downs.
Bottom Line: WiFireNet demonstrates that older Wi-Fi hardware can be repurposed for AI-driven concealed handgun detection via signal distortion analysis, offering an open-source alternative to camera-based systems with strong reported precision.

    Question from Monsterbearman Underyourbed

Why does it seem like almost everyone piggybacks/cants a red dot with an LPVO. The red dot already covers 1X. Why not go with a multiple power scope that starts at 2,3 or 4X for example.

    Question from Karl F

    Hey all,
Just wondering what your thoughts are regarding these new cases designed for higher pressure like NAS3 and Peak Alloy. They promise higher velocity but I imagine they’ll beat up the guns something fierce. I wonder if the juice is worth the squeeze.
    Keep up the great podcast.

    Question from Duran84

How often do you guys field strip your conceal carry pistol? The main problem I have is as a farmer all the dust and debris that collects even IWB or when I carry OWB. I quit carrying a gun with a red dot for this reason, it was always a dusty lens you could barely see through. Any recommendations when working in dirty areas daily to keep it cleaner? Average day for me is similar sounding to Jeremy on the farm livestock, gardening, hay baling and the like. Thanks in advance guys!

    Question from Brent B

hello im looking to get a light for my duty pistol ( m&p 2,0 9mm 4,25 barrel because i know jeremy will ask). What are your recommendations i dont plan on using it much as a flashlight more like a quick target id. this is also my pistol i plan on carrying in minecraft while doing the electric boogaloo on the dance floor. thanks yall

    Question from TheObviousJames

Hello Gentlemen,I need help deciding what my next gun purchase should be, and wanted everyone’s opinion based on what I currently have: 2 AR 556 Builds (10.5, and 16), a semi auto competition shotgun, and 2 striker fired pistols: FN 509T with PMM Comp (shoots crazy nice) and G43x. I was thinking about another AR 556 build (13.9/14.5) to round out the ARs, or thought a 300blk/338ARC build would be cool. But then, what about a roller-delayed 9mm (what is a decent one that is more budget friendly (under/around $1000)? Or, what about a bolt action in 6.5 Creedmoor? Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you!

    Question from Kyle R

recently printed a Ghost Bolt 2.0 upper with Sunlu PLA+ 2.0. I finished it off with a 10” 300bo barrel. It works amazingly, but my ‘tsim is tingling. I’m considering trying out another in .338 ARC, but Shawn refuses to release his review video on it. I’m thinking of picking up a barrel and bolt from Faxon, 9” or 12.5” for running subs only. I’m a little concerned with moving up to high chamber pressures and the strength of PLA+. Should I stop being a little bitch and send it? Is .338 ARC dying off already and I should find a different caliber?

  20. This Week in Guns 474 – ATF’s NFA Pause, Bruen’s Latest Tests, and the 10/22 is a bad gun

    Show notes

ATF's new NFA guidance may offer breathing room, but it is an enforcement pause rather than a durable rule change. Matt Larosiere and Ivan T.
