She Has 8 Kids and Says Motherhood Isn't Hard… HOW?! Feat. Oliva Owen
Show notes
Today I'm sitting down with Liv Owen, a mom of EIGHT kids, to talk about how she creates a peaceful, structured home while actually ENJOYING motherhood!
As a newer mom navigating toddler tantrums, discipline, and all the things, I had SO many questions for Liv! We're getting into practical parenting tips, how to set boundaries and stay consistent, creating routines that actually work, raising independent kids, and keeping your marriage strong while raising a family.
We also talk about why motherhood gets such a negative reputation, how to stop feeling overwhelmed by the everyday responsibilities of parenting, and why having children doesn't mean your life is over.
Whether you're a mom of one, eight, or hoping to become a mom someday, this episode is full of encouragement and practical wisdom! My prayer is that you walk away feeling more confident, equipped, and excited about the beautiful gift of motherhood. Love you guys! 💗

Your Christian Life Will Be Hard Without THIS…
Show notes
Today is such a SPECIAL day because my brand-new 40-day devotional, The Abiding Way, is officially OUT NOW!! 🥹 ORDER MY NEW DEVOTIONAL THE ABIDING WAY
In today's episode, we're talking about something that completely transformed my relationship with Jesus: ABIDING IN HIM. Have you ever felt like you're doing all the right Christian things—reading your Bible, going to church, praying, serving—but still feel spiritually dry, exhausted, or disconnected from God? I've been there, and I want you to know that Jesus never called us to a life of constant striving and performing.
I dive into John 15 and unpacking what it really means to remain connected to Jesus, surrender every area of our lives, embrace the uncomfortable pruning seasons, and bear fruit that actually lasts. I'm also sharing some personal stories about motherhood, people-pleasing, spiritual burnout, and how God taught me that He doesn't just want me to do things FOR Him—He wants me to do life WITH Him.
My prayer is that this episode reminds you that you don't have to earn God's love. You already have it. He wants your heart, not your performance. So whether you're in a season of waiting, struggling with sin, or simply longing to feel close to Jesus again, this one's for you.
I love you guys so much! Let's stop striving and start abiding! 🤍

For The Christian Girl Who's Secretly Struggling…
Show notes
Girl, this episode is for you if you've been secretly struggling but feel like you have to pretend everything is okay because you're a Christian. 🤍
I want to remind you that you can love Jesus with your whole heart and still have hard days. You can feel lonely, spiritually dry, overwhelmed, or even question your faith, and that doesn't mean you're failing as a Christian.
In today's episode, we're getting REAL about the pressure to have it all together, comparison, feeling behind in life, struggling to find genuine friendships, and turning our relationship with God into another checklist. I'm sharing some of my own struggles and what I've learned about surrendering control, being vulnerable, trusting God's timing, and choosing to abide in Jesus instead of constantly striving for perfection.
My prayer is that this episode reminds you that you are not alone, you don't have to earn God's love, and you don't have to wait until your life looks perfect to come to Him. God wants your heart, not your performance.
Love you guys!

We Asked 100 Men What They’ve NEVER Told Their Wives… (It’s even worse than the women)
Show notes
Kaleb and I are back with PART TWO of our marriage confessions series, and y'all… the husbands did NOT hold back! 😂
After hearing what 100 women have been hiding from their husbands, it's time to hear the men's side, and some of these confessions are actually WILD. From secret gambling winnings and fake Bible studies to hidden bachelor parties, pornography struggles, and husbands who secretly hate their wives' cooking… we truly did not know what we were getting into!
Kaleb and I are reacting to these confessions, sharing some of our own marriage stories, and having some very real conversations about honesty, trust, boundaries, and what it means to protect your marriage. And let's just say… I may have accidentally confessed to something involving Kaleb's favorite hats that did NOT go over well. LOL. 🫣
But seriously, marriage should be a safe place where you feel fully known, loved, and respected. There's a difference between protecting your spouse's feelings and keeping secrets that could damage your relationship. Our hope is that this episode encourages you to communicate openly, extend grace, and build a marriage rooted in honesty and God's truth.

We Asked 100 Women What They’ve NEVER Told Their Husbands.. (It’s Shocking!)
Show notes
Okay y’all… this episode is JUICY. 😂 Kaleb and I asked women to anonymously share the things they would never tell their husbands, and some of these confessions genuinely had us speechless.
We’re talking everything from secretly checking an ex’s Instagram every week, hiding how much money you actually spend, not liking your husband’s family, workplace crushes, past relationships, intimacy, and even… secretly giving away the family cat and telling your husband it ran away. 😭
Kaleb and I share where we personally draw that line in our marriage, why accountability matters when temptation enters the picture, how comparison can quietly hurt intimacy, and why honesty—even when it’s uncomfortable—is so important for building trust.

Asking a Pastor Controversial Questions You’re Afraid To Ask
Show notes
Okay you guys, this episode is a GOOD one. Kaleb and I are sitting down with Pastor Luke Lezon and putting him in the hot seat with some of the questions Christians are actually asking—but sometimes feel afraid to say out loud. We talk about everything from Christians drinking alcohol, pastors drinking, and expensive church buildings, merch, politics, predestination vs. free will, women pastors, and what it looks like to actually stand on biblical truth without becoming overly critical of everyone around you.
We loved this conversation because it reminded us that we don't have to be scared of hard questions. We can wrestle with Scripture, have disagreements, use wisdom and discernment, and still keep Jesus at the center. My hope is that this episode encourages you to dig into the Word for yourself, extend more grace to other believers, and focus less on winning arguments and more on genuinely following Jesus. Opening Up About My Past Marriage 10 Years Later…
Show notes
Ten years later, I’m finally ready to share a part of my story that I’ve carried quietly for a long time: my past marriage and annulment.
In this episode, I’m opening up about being 21, feeling isolated and unsure of myself, and finding myself in a toxic relationship that ultimately led me to make decisions I never thought I would make. I share about the pressure, shame, fear, loss of purity, and secrecy I carried—and how those things kept me stuck far longer than I should have been.
But I more importantly want to highlight how God met me in one of the darkest seasons of my life, how my family, friends, counseling, and community helped me find the courage to leave, and how Jesus slowly freed me from the shame I thought would define me forever.
If you’ve ever felt like your past disqualifies you, like you’ve messed up too badly, or like you’re trapped in a relationship you know isn’t healthy, I hope my story reminds you that you are never too far gone. There is freedom. There is healing. There are second chances. And your worst decision does not have to become your identity.
God really can make beauty from ashes, and I’m so grateful I get to look back 10 years later and see just how much He has redeemed.

My Husband Opens Up About His Battle with ADHD and Medication…
Show notes
Kaleb is back on the pod, and you guys… we covered A LOT 😂 We’re officially back home, law school year two is underway, and life honestly feels so much more peaceful and settled than it did this time last year.
Kaleb opens up for the first time about having diagnosed ADHD, his experience taking medication, why he decided to step away from it for now, and the habits that have been helping him manage his days differently. We also talk about why there should be ZERO shame around getting the help you need, how sleep and scrolling affect us, and why we have officially decided that late-night marriage conversations are just… not it. 😂
Then, naturally, we get into some internet insanity: the girl who allegedly faked going to PA school for TWO YEARS, a fake NFL player scam, and the AI content taking over social media. We also talk about protecting your mind from constantly consuming darkness online, my desire to keep learning as a mom, and why sometimes you really do need to put the phone down, get outside, read your Bible, and guard what you're allowing into your spirit.
So grab your drink and hang out with us! 🤎

Why Being a Christian Feels Harder Than Ever Before…. I’m Worried
Show notes
Okay you guys, I have THOUGHTS on this one. 😂 The Christian social media landscape has been feeling a little exhausting lately, and I think we need to talk about it.
In this episode, I’m unpacking why Christianity can sometimes feel so complicated online when, in real life, following Jesus is meant to bring freedom, joy, peace, and transformation. Somewhere along the way, I think we’ve started confusing personal convictions with biblical commands, turning faith into a performance, and putting pressure on people to look like the “perfect Christian” before God has even had time to work in their hearts.
We’re talking about everything from Christian comment sections and publicly correcting people to comparison, aesthetic quiet times, personal convictions, drinking, spiritual gifts, serving your community, and what Romans 14 actually says about disputable matters.
God cares so much more about your heart than your perfectly curated Christian routine. His ways are not burdensome, and following Him was never supposed to be another exhausting performance.
Let’s be people who care about truth AND grace, who lovingly point people back to Christ, and who trust the Holy Spirit to do the convicting only He can do. 🤍

Things I Stopped Caring About in My 30s (And You Should Too)
Show notes
Okay you guys, I’m 32, I’m a mom, and there are officially some things I simply do not care about anymore 😂 In this episode, I’m sharing the things I’ve slowly let go of as I’ve gotten older—from keeping up with every fashion trend and holding onto friendships I’ve outgrown, to having the “perfect” quiet time, knowing every piece of internet drama, and putting crazy pressure on myself with fitness and food.
More than anything, I’ve realized how sweet life becomes when you stop living for everyone else’s approval and start slowing down enough to actually enjoy what God has given you. We talk about protecting your peace, choosing friendships that are faithful and life-giving, letting your relationship with Jesus be genuine instead of aesthetic, and embracing a healthier, more sustainable way of living.

Stop Letting Your Emotions Run Your Life | Fruit of The Spirit Series: SELF CONTROL
Show notes
THE FINAL EPISODE IN OUR FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT SERIES! We made it!!
In this episode, we explore self-control as a fruit of the Spirit from Galatians 5:22–23. Self-control isn’t simply about trying harder or suppressing our desires—it’s about allowing the Holy Spirit to shape our thoughts, choices, words, emotions, and actions.
We’ll talk about what biblical self-control looks like in everyday life, why it can be difficult, and how walking with the Spirit helps us respond with wisdom instead of being ruled by our impulses.
In this episode, we discuss:
• What Galatians 5:22–23 teaches about self-control
• The difference between willpower and Spirit-led self-control
• How self-control impacts our words, emotions, relationships, and decisions
• Practical ways to grow in self-control
• Why surrender to God is at the heart of true self-controlKey Scripture:
“...the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.” — Galatians 5:22–23Takeaway:
Self-control isn’t about becoming strong enough to handle everything on our own. It’s about becoming surrendered enough to let the Holy Spirit lead us.Hope this helped y'all!!

Trusting Your Husband When You Don’t Agree With Him | Ft. My Sister & Brother-in-Law
Show notes
You guys, this episode is SO special because Kaleb and I are coming to you from Alaska with my sister Vania and brother-in-law Anthony! We finally get the full story of how these two met (including some hilarious old-school Facebook DMs 😂), but more importantly, we dive into the huge leap of faith that brought them all the way to Alaska. We talk about what happens when God asks you to do something that feels uncomfortable, inconvenient, or honestly just CRAZY. Vania shares so vulnerably about not wanting to move, learning to trust Anthony as her husband, praying for God to change her own heart, and eventually finding peace in a decision that initially terrified her. Anthony also shares such a powerful reminder: God doesn't always promise us clarity—but He does ask us to be faithful with what He's put in front of us. This conversation is such an encouragement if you're facing a big decision, navigating marriage when you and your spouse aren't immediately on the same page, wondering where God is leading you, or learning how to trust Him without having the entire plan laid out. Sometimes faithfulness really does look like taking the next step before you can see step ten. 🤍

Show notes
Welcome back to Faith Friday!! We are almost done with this fruit of the Spirit series!!! hope y'all are loving it!
In this episode, we explore the fruit of the Spirit: gentleness from Galatians 5:22–23. We’ll talk about what biblical gentleness really means, how Jesus modeled it, and what it looks like in our everyday relationships, conversations, and responses.
Gentleness invites us to respond rather than react, to speak truth with love, and to treat others with grace even when emotions run high. It’s a quiet strength that reflects the character of Christ.
In this episode, we’ll explore:
•
What biblical gentleness actually means
•
Why gentleness is a fruit of the Holy Spirit
•
How Jesus demonstrated gentleness without compromising truth
•
The difference between gentleness and weakness
•
Practical ways to cultivate gentleness in our words, reactions, and relationships
•
What it looks like to surrender our responses to the Holy Spirit
Scripture: Galatians 5:22–23; Matthew 11:28–30
Reflection: Where might God be inviting you to replace a harsh reaction with a gentle response this week?

Things Christians Say That AREN’T Actually In The Bible
Show notes
Have you ever heard a phrase so many times that you just assumed it was in the Bible? 🙋♀️ SAME. In today’s episode, Kaleb and I are breaking down some of the most common sayings Christians repeat that either aren’t actually in Scripture or are often taken wayyy out of context. We’re talking about everything from “God won’t give you more than you can handle” and “everything happens for a reason” to soulmates, money, Halloween, taking God’s name in vain, and more. We are definitely NOT claiming to be biblical scholars, and we’re totally open to being corrected, but our heart behind this conversation is to encourage all of us to actually know what the Word of God says instead of building our theology around something we heard on Instagram, from a friend, or even growing up in church. And as always, if we missed something or you disagree with one of our takes, let us know! We’re learning right alongside you guys.

We’re Struggling…
Show notes
Some weeks, we have so much to say... and other weeks, we honestly don't know where to start. 🤍 This episode is one of those conversations where we just hit record and got real. We open up about feeling stuck, uninspired, and honestly just a little "off." Between law school starting back up, parenting, work, comparison, and the pressure to always be "on," we wanted to share what we're actually walking through instead of pretending everything is perfect. We talk about why chasing constant highs leaves us empty, how social media can distort reality, and the importance of checking in with ourselves mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We also share some of the small habits we're trying to build—putting our phones away before bed, reading more, spending intentional time with God, prioritizing community, and remembering that faithfulness often looks a lot more ordinary than exciting. If you've been feeling numb, discouraged, or like you're just going through the motions lately, we hope this episode reminds you that you're not alone. Sometimes the next right step isn't a huge life change—it's simply choosing faithfulness in the small things and trusting God in every season. ‼️Check out my collab with Ponyflo‼️ Visit https: ponyflohats.com and use code JEANINE for 15% off!! What Society Gets Wrong About Being “Good”... | Fruit of the Spirit Series: GOODNESS
Show notes
Welcome back to our Fruit of the Spirit series! 🌿
Today we're talking about goodness—one of the most misunderstood qualities in the Christian life. Our culture often tells us that being a "good person" means being nice, avoiding major mistakes, or simply being better than those around us. But the Bible paints a much deeper picture.
In this episode, we explore what it truly means that God is good, why He alone is the standard of goodness, and how the Holy Spirit produces genuine goodness in the lives of believers. We'll look at how goodness is more than moral behavior—it's holiness in action, flowing from a transformed heart that desires to reflect Christ and bless others.
We'll also unpack the difference between being nice and being good, why goodness sometimes requires speaking difficult truth in love, and how spending time with Jesus transforms our hearts to look more like His.
If you've ever wondered what biblical goodness really looks like—or if you've struggled to reconcile God's goodness with the brokenness of our world—this episode is for you.
• Why only God is truly good (Luke 18:19)
• What God's goodness tells us about His character
• Why God's plans are always good—even in suffering
• The goodness of God throughout creation and Scripture
• Why evil exists if God is good
• What the Fruit of the Spirit means by "goodness"
• The Greek word agathosune and why it matters
• The difference between being nice and being good
• Practical ways to grow in goodness through the Holy Spirit
• A challenge to reflect God's goodness in everyday lifeBuy my book Becoming Happy and Healthy <3

7 Things That Will Make or Break Your Marriage
Show notes
Relationships are struggling more than ever, and I honestly believe a lot of what culture tells us about love and marriage is leading us in the wrong direction. In this episode, I'm sharing some of the biggest reasons I think relationships fail today—from comparing ourselves to social media, to expecting marriage to fulfill us, to letting outside voices influence our relationships more than God's Word.
I also talk about what the Bible says about marriage, why prayer and community matter so much, how comparison steals joy, and practical ways to build a marriage that actually lasts. Whether you're single, dating, engaged, or married, my hope is that this conversation encourages you to pursue God's design for relationships over the world's.
