  1. Ep. 88: The Return of the Divine Feminine: Ancestral Power and Healing w/ Goddess Zee

    Episode 88

    Show notes

In this episode Goddess Zee explores why divine feminine energy is returning now and what it means for our bodies, relationships, communities, and bloodlines.

This episode breaks down the divine feminine from both Western and Afro-Indigenous perspectives, including intuition, embodiment, womb wisdom, ancestral healing, sensuality, creativity, protection, ritual, rest, and spiritual sovereignty.

Goddess Zee also discusses how patriarchal systems, colonization, religious trauma, capitalism, and survival culture have suppressed feminine wisdom — and why so many people are now feeling called to slow down, reconnect with their bodies, honor their ancestors, reclaim their voices, and embody sacred feminine power.

This is not about gender wars. This is about balance, healing, remembrance, and the restoration of ancestral power.

  3. EP. 86 When Prayer Isn’t Enough: Black Mental Health & Spirituality

    Episode 86

    Show notes

We're back! EP. 86 When Prayer Isn’t Enough: Black Mental Health & Spirituality

What happens when you’ve prayed about it…and you’re still struggling?

For generations, spirituality, prayer, faith, community, and ancestral practices have been powerful sources of strength within Black communities. But somewhere along the way, many of us also received the message that needing therapy, medication, or professional mental-health support meant we weren’t praying hard enough—or that something was wrong with our faith.

In this episode of Holistic & Spiritual AF, Goddess Zee is challenging that either/or mentality.

Inspired in part by recent conversations about Black mental health—including Kehlani openly discussing a wellness routine that incorporates medication, movement, nature, spirituality, prayer, therapy, and somatic healing—we’re exploring what it can look like when spiritual care and mental-health care exist together.

    We get into:

✨ Black mental health and the complicated relationship with getting help
🙏🏾 Why “just pray about it” can sometimes become spiritual bypassing
🌿 Western clinical approaches vs. holistic and Afro-Indigenous perspectives on wellness
🖤 The pressure to be “strong” and suffer silently
🧠 Therapy, medication, nervous-system care, community, and spiritual practice
🔮 Spiritual experiences vs. experiences that may require mental-health support
📱 Why TikTok, tarot, podcasts, and spiritual influencers are not substitutes for diagnosis or treatment
🌱 Finding culturally affirming support without abandoning your spiritual beliefs

Because holistic healing should mean caring for the whole person—mind, body, spirit, relationships, culture, and community.

You can pray and go to therapy.

You can honor your ancestors and see a psychiatrist.

You can practice energy healing and receive appropriate medical care.

And getting help does not automatically mean your faith failed.

Sometimes the help may be part of the answer to the prayer.

  4. Ep: 85 When the Ancestors Call, You Better Answer w/ Goddess Zee

    Episode 85

    Show notes

Ep: 85 When the Ancestors Call, You Better Answer w/ Goddess Zee

    Everybody wants signs.

    Everybody wants ancestors.

Everybody wants the downloads, the dreams, the protection, the spiritual gifts…

But what happens when the ancestors stop whispering — and start requiring something from you?

In this episode of Holistic and Spiritual AF, Goddess Zee explores what it truly means when the ancestors call — and why accountability often follows awakening.

We unpack the difference between how ancestors and ancestry are understood through a Western lens versus an Afro-Indigenous lens, and why that distinction matters for healing, discernment, nervous system regulation, and spiritual growth.

    Inside this episode, we explore:

✨ What it actually means when the ancestors are calling
✨ Ancestors vs ancestry — Western and Afro-Indigenous perspectives
✨ Why spiritual awakening requires accountability
    ✨ Ancestor-led vs ego-led spirituality
✨ The difference between intuition, confirmation bias, and spiritual discernment
✨ Why some people seek signs while avoiding the work
✨ How healing your lineage changes what gets passed down

    Because the truth is:

The ancestors are not invested in your comfort.

They are invested in your liberation.

If your intuition has been louder…
If the dreams have been stronger…
If life keeps putting the same lesson in front of you…

    This may be your confirmation.

Your ancestors are trying to get your attention.

    The question is:

    Will you answer?

  5. Ep:84 Your Subconscious Mind Is Running Your Life w/ Goddess Zee

    Episode 84

    Show notes

Ep. 84 – Your Subconscious Mind Is Running Your Life Subconscious Programming, Ancestral Memory & Spiritual Sovereignty

What if the life you’re living is being shaped by programs you never consciously chose?

In this episode of Holistic and Spiritual AF, Goddess Zee takes a deep dive into the power of the subconscious mind and how inherited beliefs, trauma, survival conditioning, media, family systems, and colonization shape the way we think, feel, love, and move through the world.

Because a lot of what we call “personality” is actually programming.

From both Western psychology and Afro-Indigenous perspectives, we explore how the subconscious mind stores emotional patterns, survival responses, and learned behaviors — and how those patterns can continue running our lives until we consciously interrupt them.

This episode goes beyond surface-level self-help.

    We’re talking about:
    🧠 subconscious conditioning
    🌿 ancestral memory
    🔥 nervous system programming
    🫀 embodied healing
    🌍 spiritual disconnection through colonization

In this episode, we get into:

✨ What the subconscious mind actually is
✨ How childhood, trauma, and repetition shape identity
✨ The difference between Western psychology and Afro-Indigenous understandings of memory and healing
✨ How survival patterns get passed down through generations
✨ Why affirmations alone don’t always create transformation
✨ How the body stores emotional and ancestral memory
✨ The connection between colonization and spiritual disconnection
✨ Practical steps to begin deprogramming subconscious conditioning

We also explore a powerful truth:

Healing is not becoming someone new.

It’s remembering who you were before the conditioning.

Because your mind can be retrained

    Your nervous system can heal.
And your lineage does not have to end with survival mode.

You are not every belief you inherited.

You are allowed to choose differently.

  6. Ep: 83 Energetic Cords, Lovers & Memory w/ Goddess Zee

    Episode 83

    Show notes

Ep: 83 Energetic Cords, Lovers & Memory w/ Goddess Zee

Not every connection ends when the relationship does.

    Some linger…
    in your body,
    in your emotions,
    in your energy.

In this episode of Holistic and Spiritual AF, Goddess Zee takes a deep dive into energetic cords, sexual energy exchange, and the memory the body carries after intimacy.

    This is not surface-level spirituality.

This is about understanding how connection, vulnerability, and physical intimacy create real energetic imprints — and why so many people struggle to fully move on after relationships end.

Through Afro-Indigenous wisdom, Western trauma-informed perspectives, and cosmic energetic understanding, we explore what it truly means to share energy with another person.

Because intimacy is not just physical.

    It is spiritual.
    It is emotional.
    It is energetic.

In this episode, we get into:

✨ What energetic cords really are and how they form
✨ The concept of life force energy (Àṣẹ) and spiritual exchange
✨ Why your body — especially the womb — holds relational memory
✨ How trauma and emotional imprinting show up after intimacy
✨ Signs of energetic residue from past lovers
✨ Why some connections are harder to release than others

We also break down a real, grounded process for releasing energetic cords, including:

    🌿 Acknowledging the connection honestly
    🔥 Calling your energy back
✂️ Intentional cord release through breath and embodiment
🌊 Cleansing the body through water and ritual
🧿 Closing energetic access and reclaiming sovereignty

Because healing is not just about “moving on”…

It’s about reclaiming your energy, your body, and your power.

    And from an Afro-Indigenous perspective:

The womb is not just physical.

It is a space of memory, intuition, and ancestral connection.

Which means what you experience in intimacy doesn’t just disappear.

It must be cleared, honored, and released.

🎁 If this episode resonated with you…

  7. Ep: 82 Mother Wounds & The Women Who Raised Us w/ Goddess Zee

    Episode 82

    Show notes

Healing the Lineage Without Carrying the Pain

Some conversations are hard to have… but necessary for healing.

In this episode of Holistic and Spiritual AF, Goddess Zee opens up a deeply honest and compassionate conversation about mother wounds and the complex relationships we have with the women who raised us.

    This is not about blame.

This is about understanding what was passed down…
    what was never processed…
and what you are now being called to heal.

From both Western psychology and Afro-Indigenous perspectives, we explore how the mother wound is not just personal — it is ancestral, embodied, and generational.

Because sometimes what you experienced from your mother…
    didn’t start with her.

In this episode, we get into:

✨ What the “mother wound” really is and how it forms
✨ How ancestral patterns and survival strategies are passed down through women
✨ The impact of emotional suppression, hyper-independence, and survival conditioning
✨ How mother wounds show up in relationships, self-worth, and the body
✨ The connection between lineage, the nervous system, and inherited trauma
✨ How to begin healing without abandoning compassion for your mother

We also hold space for a powerful truth:

    You can love your mother…
and still need to heal from what you experienced.

And at some point, healing asks you to stop waiting for her to become who you needed…

and begin becoming that for yourself.

Because you are not just a product of your lineage.

You are the evolution of it.

  9. Ep: 80 Stop Asking Spirit for Signs You’re Ignoring w/ Goddess Zee

    Episode 80

    Show notes

Ep: 80 Stop Asking Spirit for Signs You’re Not Ready to Obey

How many signs do you actually need?

    The ringing in your ears.
    The gut feeling.
    The repeating numbers.
    The dreams.
The same situations happening over and over again.

At some point… it’s no longer confusion.

    It’s avoidance.

In this episode of Holistic and Spiritual AF, Goddess Zee breaks down the truth about intuition, spiritual signs, and why so many people keep asking spirit for guidance they’re not ready to act on.

From both Afro-Indigenous perspectives and Western understanding, we explore how spirit actually communicates — and why ignoring those messages can lead to feeling disconnected, stuck, or “spiritually blocked.”

    Because spirit is not silent…

It’s just not going to keep repeating itself if you’re not listening.

In this episode, we get into:

✨ What “signs” really are (and how they differ across traditions)
✨ Ringing ears, body sensations, dreams, and repeating numbers
✨ Why your body is one of your strongest spiritual tools
✨ How patterns in your life are actually messages
✨ The real reason spirit seems to go quiet
✨ The difference between seeking clarity vs avoiding action

    This is your reminder that:

    You don’t need another sign.
You need to trust the one you already received.

Because every time you ignore your intuition…
you teach yourself not to trust it.

And healing, alignment, and spiritual growth all require one thing:

    Action.

  11. Ep: 78 Dating as a Divine Feminine: Stop Shrinking for Partnership

    Episode 78

    Show notes

What happens when you’ve done the work… but the dating pool still feels misaligned?

In this episode of Holistic and Spiritual AF, Goddess Zee dives into the realities of dating as a sovereign divine feminine in today’s world. This conversation is for the women who have spent time healing — doing the shadow work, breaking generational patterns, reconnecting with their ancestors, and learning how to honor their own energy.

But once you’ve reached that level of self-awareness, dating can start to feel different.

Because when you know your worth, shrinking to fit into someone else’s comfort zone is no longer an option.

    In this episode, we explore:

✨ What it truly means to embody the divine feminine from an Afro-Indigenous perspective
✨ How sovereignty changes the way you approach relationships
✨ Why the dating pool can feel smaller after healing and personal growth
✨ The difference between dating potential vs. dating patterns
✨ How a sovereign woman can still get her needs met without abandoning herself
✨ Why emotional maturity and alignment matter more than surface-level compatibility

We also talk about the balance between the divine feminine and divine masculine energies, and why healthy partnerships require both individuals to show up with emotional awareness, accountability, and respect.

Because healing wasn’t meant to make you smaller.

It was meant to make you clearer about the love you deserve.

You didn’t do all that inner work just to return to relationships that require self-abandonment.

You did the work so that the love you attract reflects the woman you’ve become.

    Episode 77

    Show notes

Ep: 77 Walking With the Ancestors: Tampa’s Hidden Black History w/ Jamila Davis

In this episode of Holistic and Spiritual AF, Goddess Zee welcomes Jamila Davis, founder of the What It Was Walking Tour Tampa — a Black-owned, woman-owned business uncovering the powerful and often forgotten history of African Americans in downtown Tampa.

Jamila created the tour to bring hidden stories back into the light — sharing the names, locations, and contributions of Black businesses and community leaders that were left out of traditional history books. Her immersive walking tours take guests through downtown Tampa to experience what the city once was, revealing stories discovered through historical directories, census records, old newspapers, and the historic Green Books.

While this episode is a little different from the usual conversations on Holistic and Spiritual AF, the heart of the message remains the same.

    Because history is also healing.

    We talk about:

✨ The inspiration behind the What It Was Walking Tour Tampa
✨ Why preserving Black history in local communities matters
✨ How historical storytelling reconnects us with the people who came before us
✨ The importance of supporting Black-owned businesses doing cultural preservation work
✨ Why learning the real history of a place changes how we move through it

Jamila shares how her tours bring people face-to-face with Tampa’s past by visiting locations where African American businesses once thrived and telling the stories that never made it into the textbooks.

This episode is also a reminder that community, culture, and history are deeply connected to our collective healing and identity.

Because sometimes honoring the ancestors doesn’t just happen in ceremony — it happens by learning their stories.

If you're in Tampa or planning to visit, this is an experience you won’t want to miss.

  13. Ep 76: Are You Healing… or Just Consuming Spiritual Content? w/Goddess Zee

    Episode 76

    Show notes

We live in the age of spiritual overload.

    Podcasts.
    Tarot readings.
    Reels about being an empath.
    Affirmations.
    Collective energy updates.

Access to knowledge has never been easier.

    But embodiment? That’s rare.

In this episode of Holistic and Spiritual AF, Goddess Zee lovingly asks the question many of us don’t want to answer:

Are you actually healing… or are you just spiritually entertained?

This conversation breaks down the powerful difference between consuming spiritual content and doing the real, lineage-shifting work of integration.

    You’ll learn:

✨ What healing actually means (and why it’s a process, not a vibe)
✨ The difference between inspiration and embodiment
✨ How dopamine-driven spiritual consumption can feel like growth — but isn’t
✨ Five clear examples of spiritual consumption without transformation
✨ Why Afro-Indigenous traditions view healing as relational, ancestral, and collective
✨ How colonization disrupted embodied healing practices
✨ Practical tools to move from consumer to embodied healer

We also explore how African and Indigenous healing systems understand:

🌿 Healing as communal and ceremonial
🌿 Ancestral continuity and spiritual lineage
🌿 The importance of embodiment over performance
🌿 Why reclaiming traditional healing practices is liberation work

Because healing isn’t about sounding awakened.

    It’s about becoming aligned.

In this episode, Goddess Zee challenges you to ask:

    •

When was the last time you sat in silence without content?

    •

What behavior has actually changed because of what you’ve learned?

    •

Are you seeking downloads… or enforcing boundaries?

    Healing requires:
    Awareness.
    Accountability.
    Discomfort.
    Behavioral change.

  15. Ep74: She "Woke" She Remembers, She Becomes w/ Goddess Zee

    Episode 74

    Show notes

About three years ago, I started writing.

I didn’t know I was documenting my evolution — I just knew something inside of me was shifting.

As my writing evolved, so did I.

In this episode, we’re doing something a little different. I’m stepping away from interviews and teachings and inviting you into the pages of my own journey. I’ll be reading two pieces written years apart one from the beginning of my awakening, and one from a deeper place of remembrance and embodiment.

And what you’ll hear is growth in real time.

    Awakening is powerful.

⁉️But what happens after you wake up?

⁉️What happens in the space between realization and embodiment?

⁉️Between breaking programming and becoming sovereign?

This episode is about that in-between.

It’s about shadow work, discernment, ancestral connection, divine feminine embodiment, and the quiet transformation that happens when you choose to integrate what you’ve learned.

If you’re in a season of becoming this is for you.

Listen if you’re ready to witness transformation… not just hear about it.

    Episode 72

Ep:72 Ancestors, Epigenetics & You w/ Goddess Zee

Epigenetics is often treated like some new discovery, but really, it’s science catching up to what our ancestors already knew—that the body remembers. That what was lived doesn’t vanish. It travels.

In this episode, I step in as the guest and talk about epigenetics as both science and ancestral truth. We name the trauma, yes—but we also name the power. The wisdom. The intuition. The resilience that existed long before slavery and still lives in our DNA.

Epigenetics helps explain why some patterns feel bigger than this lifetime—and why healing your nervous system can unlock gifts that have been waiting quietly in your lineage.

This episode is for anyone who’s ready to stop only asking, “What’s wrong with me?” and start remembering what’s always been right.

    You didn’t just inherit pain.
You inherited memory, medicine, and power.

We center her newest book, Hoodoo Saints and Root Warriors: Stories and Magick for Liberation (2025)—a spiritual war manual for navigating oppression, injustice, and survival through ancestral alignment and Hoodoo cosmology. Mawiyah breaks down how working with Hoodoo saints, rootwork, and ancestral forces becomes not just spiritual practice, but political, embodied liberation.

We also reflect on her contribution to the film Sinners, the urgency of spiritual tools in trying times, and how storytelling itself becomes spellwork.

We touch on her earlier work, Conjuring the Calabash: Empowering Women with Hoodoo Spells & Magick (2023)—a reclamation of womb wisdom, power, and protection for women across identities, including trans and queer women.

Ep: 70 Meditation As Ancestral Technology w/ Goddess Zee

Meditation didn’t start with mindfulness apps or yoga studios.

It started with our indigenous ancestors.

In this episode of Holistic and Spiritual AF, Goddess Zee reclaims meditation as ancestral technology rooted in Afro-Indigenous wisdom.

We break down the difference between Western meditation and Indigenous meditation, and why that distinction matters for nervous system healing, intuition, and spiritual clarity.

    In this episode, you’ll explore:
    • Meditation as a tool for nervous system regulation
    • Why stillness is a gateway, not a goal
    • How ancestors communicate through sensation, dreams, and inner knowing
    • Meditation as preparation for downloads and transmissions
    • Afro-Indigenous perspectives on portals, spirit realms, and cosmic lineage
