  1. What to Do When Tragedy Strikes. Lessons from the Book of Ruth (pt.1)

    Season 1, Episode 2

    Show notes

We will all face tragedy and hardship at some point during our lifetime, and although their are various ways to respond, as believers in Christ we should always try to live a lifestyle that is pleasing in the eyesight of God. We should strive to keep his promises and teaching close.

    However, that isn't always easy.

When tragedy strikes we can feel abandoned or forgotten, but even in tragedy, God is still good and he still loves us. His promises and his teaching are still true.

While studying the book of Ruth , I noticed how both Naomi and Ruth reacted to tragedy, and I learned a lot. Stay tuned to hear my lessons from the Book of Ruth ( part 1/ Chapter 1).

I hope that this episode helps and encourages you.

    Be blessed!

  2. Episode 1. Still Building: Lessons from the Song of Solomon

    Season 1, Episode 1

    Show notes

Today, I read the first three chapters of the Song of Solomon, and it surprised me. I didn't know that it was a love story. Well, I had an idea that it might be a love story, but I wasn't entirely sure because I had never read it. Not only was it a love story, but it was also poetic and beautiful, like many other books in the Bible.

I liked that the story was told from different perspectives: the husband, the wife, and the women in Jerusalem, to name a few. While reading, I noticed that the couple spoke to each other with respect and thought highly of each other.

Reading about their relationship made me reflect on my own, and I realized that my husband and I haven't been building each other up as much as we should.

I also realized that, as a Christian, I want to be more mindful of my words. I want to live a life that is pleasing in the sight of God despite my shortcomings, and I hope this encourages others to come to God and build up everyone around them, even when it's difficult.
