A federal judge has ruled that when Donald Trump's DOJ fired the highly acclaimed federal prosecutor, Maurene Comey, the DOJ violated federal law and her constitutional rights. Apparently, the DOJ failed to understand that as the Constitution commands, the president must take care to faithfully execute the laws of our nation. Donald Trump's Department of Justice has become a cesspool of lawlessness.

Donald Trump has priors on the election lies front. After his own executive branch and DOJ officials told him there was no fraud undermining his 2020 election loss, he indicated that he did not care, telling his officials, "just say the election was corrupt and leave the rest to me and the republicans in Congress". This is conclusive evidence that Trump's current corrupt schemes to interfere in the upcoming midterms are complete and utter bullshit.

Donald Trump, Todd Blanche, and Jeanine Pirro have again misused the power of the Department of Justice to push a story into the public square that they obviously hope will impact the midterm elections.

The DOJ has criminally charged two former career FBI special agents with lying to Congress about an investigation into Hunter Biden's laptop. Notably, they did not do what prosecutors normally would do in such circumstances - present the evidence to a grand jury to see if the grand jury agreed that there was enough evidence to indict the FBI agents. Instead, they seemed to have skipped the grand jury process and just filed a complaint against the agents, apparently to rush this information into the public square in the days leading up to the midterm elections.

Given that grand juries have, over and over again, REJECTED Pirro's attempts to indict people Trump wanted indicted...might this be why Pirro chose a complaint instead of indictment?

Glenn explains the difference between charging someone by complaint rather that presenting the evidence to a grand jury to see if there is enough evidence to indict the person.

The first press conference by Trump's new White House press secretary, Katie Zacharia, was an complete train wreck. Compounding her problems, when she was asked in which state she was licensed to practice law, she answered, "when I went to China."

Reporting emerged that, even though Zacharia had been holding herself out as a lawyer, she was never admitted to practice law in any state.

Now, new reporting reveals that a nonprofit watchdog group filed an ethics complaint against Zacharia with the California state bar. Importantly, it is a crime in California to hold yourself out as a lawyer if you are not.

Attorneys are fleeing Donald Trump's Department of Justice at alarming rates. It's not just a brain drain but an ethics drain as well. And that's on top of the people who were wrongfully terminated for holding the January 6 criminals accountable. Another day, another vindictive prosecution by Donald Trump and his corrupt DOJ leadership. This time, they're going after a Republican former White House aide, Cassidy Hutchinson, for testimony she gave to Congress that was unflattering of Trump.

This vindictive prosecution of Hutchinson will fail, just like the vindictive prosecution of James Comey failed. It was dismissed. It was thrown out. Of course, they're trying again with the great seashell caper case. That one will fail too.

The vindictive prosecution of Leticia James failed, dismissed, thrown out.

The attempted vindictive prosecution of Jerome Powell? That one never even got out of the grand jury because the judge threw out the grand jury subpoenas for being issued for an improper purpose.

The attempted vindictive prosecution of six members of Congress, who basically did nothing more than cut a public service announcement video accurately stating military law: that military members must disobey unlawful orders. That one was laughed out of the grand jury.

How about the prosecution of the sandwich thrower, Sean Dunn. Trump's DOJ couldn't get a felony indictment of Dunn AND couldn't even convict him in a misdemeanor trial.

AND, how about the reflecting pool guy, David Hearn. That one was thrown out of court by the Judge. And on and on and on.

It seems like the safest place to be if you never want to be convicted of a crime, is on Donald Trump's enemies list.
