Song of the Living Dead (2026 re-recording)
Show notes
Another long story that pre-dates the Knifepoint Horror podcast. Traveling randomly across the east with a group of friends, a restless dreamer witnesses the nightmarish confusion that the living dead bring upon the land during two starkly different phases of an unprecedented crisis. Re-recorded in 2026, with new music, the story originally appeared in Soren Narnia's audio archive of tales of different genres entitled "Those Snowy Nights You Read to Me, They'll Never Be Forgotten."
MUSIC: "When I Held You" by Ben Winwood, "As the Sky Turns Grey" by Beneath the Mountain, and "Songbird" by Doug Kaufman, all rights reserved.

You’re browsing in an old used record shop on a rainy day. In a musty bin you come across an obscure spoken-word album, issued by a tiny regional label long forgotten. It's a curious mix of story and music, with an unusual cover. You take a chance. At home, you curl up on the sofa, and the album plays...

An Oral History of Hell
Show notes
Note to listeners: The content of this story is particularly grim, and may be very disturbing to some.
'An Oral History of Hell,' a story written before this podcast began, is a bleak, brutish tale of suspense related by a narrator condemned to Hell's wintry plain. The Grip, the Speaking Stones, the Far Mountains, the Perimeter, the Lie: In describing Hell's harsh geography and customs, Nicholas Strait also describes the events and people that brought him to damnation. His search for a way out must navigate madness, addiction, and the immutable hand of death.
