The First Film is 2015's Green Room:

****

The Second film is 2019's THE PERFECTION:

DEE WALLACE is not only a legendary actress but also one of the greatest "Scream Queens". Some of her big films are E.T., CUJO & The Howling! Dee is currently about to set a new record with over 300 combined movie & tv roles. She's still quite busy and has 13 movies that will be released in the next year.

DEE talks about:

The moment she knew ... "I wanted to be an actress"
Leaving Kansas for the first time to go to New York
Getting discovered and a role on "the stepford wives" (her first role in a major movie)
CUJO (behind the scenes stories including one that will shock you)
E.T. (her first time seeing E.T. (himself))
New projects that are soon to come out like THE LICKED HAND

And then we had some MUSIC questions for Dee .. we find out if she's ever played an instrument, what her last concert was and what decade of music she simply loves!

I can tell you this was one of the most heart-felt interviews we have done. Dee is such a beautiful caring human being and this inteview will hopefully touch you in some of the wonderful things she has to say about her experiences on set and in life.

Rob interviews Laura and Scott from the Nashville Acoustic Jazzy Funk Band SLAP DRAGON

Rob sits down with Laura and Scott for a great conversion about their first tour, their first album release MISSION STATEMENT, what it's like traveling together in one vehicle, how the name slap dragon came about... and more!

Slap Dragon is the brain-child of bassist Scott Mulvahill and vocalist Laura Berens who met and began writing songs together in the summer of 2023. Soul vocals and acoustic instruments (played by some of Nashville's heaviest session musicians) combine for a fresh, funky irresistibly joyful sound that is equal parts bluegrass, disco, and RnB.
Slap Dragon played their first show on June 1st, 2024 to an enthusiastic crowd in Nashville, followed by a set at Bonnaroo.

Following their successful Kickstarter campaign in October 2025, Slap Dragon released their debut album, "Mission Statement," on May 29th, 2026

They are currently on tour coming to New Jersey, Pennsylvania and a town near you !

JASON LEAVY INTERVIEW

Rob and Paul sit down for a conversation with Producer, Writer, Actor and Stuntman JASON LEAVY.

Jason and his brother Michael started the film company "fuzz on the lense" over 16 years ago and have gone on to produce the Horror films Terrifer 2 & 3 and their own horror film STREAM (2024) (which starred a ton of horror legends like Tim Curry, Tony Todd, Dee Wallace & Jeffrey Combs - just to name a few).

Jason has been in all 3 terrifier movies and not only co-wrote Stream but he's also "player 1". Jason was there on set for all 3 terrifier movies and not only was one of the producers but also acted as casting director on "2" and was there from the beginning of the creation of Art the Clown.

Another interesting fact is that Jason & Michael started their film journey with "the staten island clown" ... intended to be a fun thing it turned into a viral news event and now it's part of the new hulu documentary "Clown Panic" (along with other frightening clown incidents).

Paul and Rob talk with Jason about his first film "Abnormal Attraction", the Terrifier Movies, Stream, some updates on Stream 2, the possibility of a new lepechaun film .. and more!

TURN OFF THE TV (unless it's a good Horror Movie) - AND TURN UP THE MUSIC!!!

Interview with Meghan Parnell & Dave Barnes from BYWATER CALL

Today Rob & Matt interview Meghan & Dave from the Toronto based band BYWATER CALL

Bywater Call formed in 2017 and have formed a huge fan base.

They've been touring the US non-stop this year bringing their incredible rock roots soul sound to everyone.
Meghan is an incredible singer (think Susan Tedeschi / Beth Hart) and Dave is an incredible guitarist. They are the heart of the 7 piece band.

***

We talk about musical influences, being compared to other artists, where the name "bywater call" came from, their new album "broken souvenirs", and we also find out what Dave's before show ritual is... and more!
In this interview you'll also hear some of their new songs like "Clutter", So Far" and "Is This Thing On?" (a favorite of ours)

At the end we ask Meghan and Dave a mystery question (what # did they pick .. what is the question?)

***

A little about BYWATER CALL:

Often transcending genres, Bywater Call is known for their dynamic, emotional live shows, featuring powerful vocals and exciting interplay between all band members.

In 2025, Bywater Call was UK Blues Award nominated for International Blues Artist of the year alongside winners Larkin Poe, after having toured extensively in Europe. This year, the band has been short-listed into the top 20 for the same award among many notables in the genre including Larkin Poe, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Beth Hart, Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram, Samantha Fish, Bobby Rush and other notables in the genre.

The band’s music is an exploration of life’s highs and lows. From intimate ballads that lay bare the complexities of human emotion to electrifying anthems that demand to be played at full volume, their catalogue is a journey through the human experience, incorporating influences from the likes of The Band, The Wood Brothers, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Otis Redding, Little Feat, Sly and the Family Stone, among others.

***

Bywater Call’s new album “Broken Souvenirs” is out now. They tour the UK from January 27 – February 7, 2027. Album and tickets available from http://www.bywatercall.com

Never Forget to TURN OFF THE TV, ... and TURN UP THE MUSIC!

KEN COOKE (all the way from Australia!) joins Rob on the podcast today to talk about the great WRECKING CREW

The Wrecking Crew was a group of session musicians who performed on some of the biggest music hits in America .. mainly in the 1960s and 1970s.

In 2008 a great documentary came out revealing members of the wrecking crew and their contributions to music

Rob and Ken go through some of the members and tell you what songs they were on along with the history of the wrecking crew into the 70s and how things all of a sudden changed for session musicians. Also some of the bands and artists who used the Wrecking Crew on many of their songs.

We find out how they got their name and which member absolutely hates that name (a person Ken and Rob has slight run in with)

Rob and Ken also go over the documentary and what it covers and some of the bonus material that is on the 2-disc DVD edition.

Prominent members that are covered on this podcast are: CAROL KANE (only female member of the Wrecking Crew), EARL PALMER, GLEN CAMPBELL, HAL BLAINE (who was on over 140 top 40 hits) and ... TOMMY TEDESCO!

Ken actually owns one of tommy's instruments (that was used in some of the music for an Indiana Jones movie).

If you go on youtube you can see the video from the podcast of Ken showing Tommy's "Laud".

FROM THE ARCHIVES - Original Airdate of 4.10.2021

New intro by Rob

Today Jim (rob) and Mike (matt) talk about the 1976 film THE LAST WALTZ

ABOUT THE LAST WALTZ
The Last Waltz was a concert by the Canadian-American rock group The Band, held on American Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1976, at Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. The Last Waltz was advertised as The Band's "farewell concert appearance", and the concert saw The Band joined by more than a dozen special guests, including their previous employers Ronnie Hawkins and Bob Dylan as well as Paul Butterfield, Bobby Charles, Eric Clapton, Neil Diamond, Dr. John, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Ringo Starr, Muddy Waters, Ronnie Wood, and Neil Young. The musical director for the concert was The Band's original record producer, John Simon.

The event was filmed by director Martin Scorsese and made into a documentary of the same title, released in 1978. Jonathan Taplin, who was The Band's tour manager from 1969 to 1972 and later produced Scorsese's film Mean Streets, suggested that Scorsese would be the ideal director for the project and introduced Robbie Robertson and Scorsese. Taplin served as executive producer. The film features concert performances, intermittent song renditions shot on a studio soundstage, and interviews by Scorsese with members of The Band. A triple-LP soundtrack recording, produced by Simon and Rob Fraboni, was issued in 1978. The film was released on DVD in 2002 as was a four-CD box set of the concert and related studio recordings.

The Last Waltz is hailed as one of the greatest documentary concert films ever made,[3] although it has been criticized for its focus on Robertson. In 2019, the film was selected by the Library of Congress for preservation in the National Film Registry for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".

TURN OFF THE TV - TURN UP THE MUSIC

Rob interviews guitarist/vocalist Thom LaFond from the Colorado based band BANSHEE TREE!

***

BIO:

BANSHEE TREE is an indie psychedelic pop/rock band with sharply-written songs, jazz-inspired guitar solos, saxophone textures, and grooves that nod to the dance floor, they've spent nearly a decade evolving their sound. That fusion reaches a new peak with Bad Luck, a restless and unapologetically diverse album that captures a celebrated band chasing down new horizons.

For years, Banshee Tree's evolution took place not in the recording studio, but onstage. A weekly residency at a speakeasy in Boulder, Colorado, gave the musicians an opportunity to reach beyond their origins as a swing band, while the addition of new members — including veterans of Denver's funk and punk-rock scenes — helped broaden the group's influences. Banshee Tree began gigging in other cities, too, busking with street performers in New Orleans and sharing late-night jam sessions with bands in the Pacific Northwest. Before long, their fusion of acoustic and electric styles had grown so wide that Banshee Tree could play virtually anywhere: dubstep festivals in California, EDM bills in Colorado, and bluegrass shows with genre-benders like Leftover Salmon and The Infamous Stringdusters.
