Auburn FINALLY Made a HUGE Change! Alex Golesh Is Sending a MESSAGE!
Episode 55
Show notes
Auburn football made a MAJOR offensive line change against Ole Miss, and Alex Golesh may have sent an important message about the future of the Tigers program!
Despite Auburn's disappointing loss, the coaching staff completely reshuffled its starting offensive line, giving younger players opportunities and evaluating potential building blocks for 2027.
AUBURN'S NEW OFFENSIVE LINE
The Tigers started Stanton Ramil at left tackle, Kenneth McManus at left guard, Cole Best at center, Jacoby Ward at right guard and Wilson Zierer at right tackle.
Ramil moved from right tackle to left tackle, McManus shifted from right guard to left guard, and Zierer moved from left guard to right tackle.
Ward also received a major opportunity in the starting lineup.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Auburn's previous offensive line combination wasn't producing the results the coaching staff needed.
Instead of continuing with the same lineup, Golesh and his staff made significant changes.
The decision sends an important message to younger players: Perform in practice, earn your opportunity and you can get meaningful playing time.
BUILDING FOR 2027 AND BEYOND
Four of Auburn's five starters against Ole Miss could return next season.
That gives the Tigers an opportunity to evaluate their young offensive linemen, identify positions that need improvement and determine where to invest in the transfer portal.
Could Ramil, McManus, Ward and Zierer become the foundation of Auburn's future offensive line?
And did the Tigers show enough in pass protection to give Byrum Brown more opportunities?
Auburn still has significant problems to solve, but this lineup change could become an important step toward rebuilding the offense.
Was this the right decision by Alex Golesh?

Why Did Auburn Tigers Not Feed Jeremiah Cobb Against Ole Miss The Answers Will Surprise You
Episode 54
Show notes
Auburn’s stunning lack of production on the ground against Ole Miss has left fans and analysts questioning the team’s offensive approach. With Ole Miss allowing an average of 161 rushing yards per game, Auburn’s decision to abandon the run in favor of an aerial attack—resulting in just over 50 legitimate rushing yards—raised eyebrows and frustration. Despite promising early moments from Jeremiah Cobb and Chaz Nimrod, missed opportunities and puzzling play-calling dominated the day.
Is this a case of overthinking by the coaching staff, or an indicator of deeper issues in Auburn’s roster compared to their SEC rivals? The conversation examined whether Auburn can regroup and capitalize on upcoming matchups against Arkansas, Mississippi State, and Samford. With the Iron Bowl against Alabama looming, the next few weeks could reveal whether the Tigers can find momentum or face tough questions heading into the offseason.

Auburn vs. Ole Miss Prediction: Tigers Have TWO Keys to Pull Off the UPSET!
Episode 53
Show notes
Auburn football faces a difficult road test against Ole Miss, but Alex Golesh's Tigers have two clear keys to pulling off another SEC upset. Can Byrum Brown exploit the Rebels' struggling run defense, and can DJ Durkin find a way to disrupt quarterback Trinidad Chambliss?
On Auburn HIT, we break down the biggest matchups, the path to victory and our official Auburn vs. Ole Miss score prediction.
KEY #1: RUN THE FOOTBALL
Ole Miss has struggled to stop opposing rushing attacks throughout the season, creating an opportunity for Auburn to establish its ground game.
Byrum Brown has already demonstrated his ability to produce rushing yards against elite defenses, including Tennessee and Georgia.
But Auburn needs more than Brown's legs to win in Oxford.
The offensive line must create opportunities against a Rebels defensive front featuring Will Echoles.
Young offensive linemen Wilson Zierer and Kenneth McManus face important tests, while center Cole Best must help Auburn establish consistency in its blocking schemes.
Can the Tigers take advantage of Ole Miss' biggest defensive weakness?
KEY #2: MAKE TRINIDAD CHAMBLISS UNCOMFORTABLE
Auburn's defense faces another difficult matchup against one of the SEC's most dangerous quarterbacks.
Chambliss gets rid of the football quickly, making traditional sacks difficult to generate.
Instead, Auburn must find ways to disrupt his rhythm.
That means batting passes at the line of scrimmage, forcing him out of the pocket, disrupting receiver timing and preventing Ole Miss from operating comfortably.
DJ Durkin doesn't necessarily need a massive sack total, but he does need consistent disruption.
OFFICIAL AUBURN VS. OLE MISS PREDICTION
Despite Auburn's potential advantages in the running game, the prediction is Ole Miss 28, Auburn 14.
The Tigers could keep the game competitive early before the Rebels create separation in the second half.
But Auburn has already demonstrated its ability to surprise opponents, including its upset victory over Georgia.
Could the Tigers do it again?
Drop your Auburn vs. Ole Miss score prediction in the comments!

Auburn's Offense Could EXPLODE Against Ole Miss! Byrum Brown Has a HUGE Opportunity!
Episode 52
Show notes
Auburn football could finally have the offensive matchup it needs against Ole Miss! Byrum Brown and Alex Golesh face a vulnerable Rebels defense after weeks of battling some of the toughest defensive units in college football.
Could this be the game Auburn's offense finally breaks out?
On Auburn HIT, we examine why Ole Miss presents a major opportunity for Brown, Jeremiah Cobb, Omar Mabson and the entire Auburn offense.
BYRUM BROWN VS. OLE MISS' DEFENSE
While Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss has plenty of reasons to feel confident against Auburn's struggling secondary, Brown should have similar confidence facing the Rebels.
Ole Miss has struggled against the run and has surrendered 27 explosive plays of 20 or more yards this season.
Those weaknesses align with the foundation of Golesh's offense: establishing the rushing attack, creating explosive plays and generating yards after the catch.
Brown has been Auburn's most consistent rushing threat, but the Tigers need more production from Cobb and Mabson.
Can Auburn attack the perimeter, create running lanes and finally capitalize on favorable defensive matchups?
AUBURN'S SCHEDULE IS ABOUT TO CHANGE
It's easy to focus on Auburn's recent offensive struggles without considering the level of competition.
The Tigers have faced elite defenses from Tennessee, Georgia and LSU over the past month.
Ole Miss presents a significantly different challenge.
While the Rebels feature a dangerous offense, their defensive numbers suggest Auburn should have more opportunities to move the football.
And the schedule becomes more manageable after Oxford.
Arkansas, Mississippi State and Samford provide opportunities for Auburn to build momentum and potentially reach seven wins before the Iron Bowl.
But first, Auburn must prove its offense can produce against a statistically vulnerable SEC defense.
If the Tigers struggle again, the questions surrounding Golesh's offensive system will only grow.
Can Byrum Brown deliver a breakout performance against Ole Miss?
And could Auburn's offense finally turn the corner during the final stretch of the season?

Auburn NEEDS Career Games From These TWO Players to Upset Ole Miss!
Episode 51
Show notes
Auburn football needs two overlooked players to deliver career performances against Ole Miss if Alex Golesh's Tigers want to pull off another major SEC upset.
Starting center Cole Best and linebacker Bryce Deas could play critical roles in determining whether Auburn can defeat the Rebels in Oxford.
On Auburn HIT, we break down why these two players deserve more attention heading into Saturday's matchup.
COLE BEST: AUBURN'S OFFENSIVE LINE MUST DELIVER
Auburn's interior offensive line has struggled throughout the season, but Saturday presents a major opportunity.
Ole Miss enters the matchup allowing more rushing yards per game than any other SEC defense, giving Auburn an opportunity to establish its ground game.
However, that advantage means very little if the Tigers cannot create running lanes between the tackles.
Best faces a difficult challenge against an Ole Miss defensive front featuring Will Echols, whose ability to disrupt plays through stunts and movement could cause significant problems.
While Best has demonstrated leadership and accountability throughout a difficult season, Auburn desperately needs his best performance on the field.
BRYCE DEAS: AUBURN'S OVERLOOKED DEFENSIVE X-FACTOR
With Xavier Atkins no longer on the team, Bryce Deas has taken on a significantly larger role in DJ Durkin's defense.
Alongside Elijah Melendez and De'Marcus Riddick, Deas must help contain Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss and a dangerous rushing attack.
Even without running back Kewan Lacy, Ole Miss presents significant challenges on the ground.
Deas' athleticism, range and ability to cover running backs and tight ends could make him especially important in limiting explosive plays.
Auburn needs to control the running game on both sides of the football to have a chance.
Can Cole Best and Bryce Deas deliver the performances Auburn needs to pull off the upset?

Auburn's Path to 7-5 Just Got MUCH EASIER! Alex Golesh Has a HUGE Opportunity!
Episode 50
Show notes
Auburn football's path to a 7-5 season is becoming clearer, and Mississippi State quarterback Kamario Taylor's injury could significantly improve the Tigers' chances of reaching bowl eligibility under Alex Golesh.
On Auburn HIT, Zac Blackerby breaks down Auburn's remaining schedule, the games the Tigers should win, and why reaching a bowl game could be especially important for the program's future.
Auburn currently has four wins, and three remaining matchups stand out as opportunities to reach seven victories: Arkansas, Samford and Mississippi State.
The injury situation surrounding Mississippi State quarterback Kamario Taylor changes the outlook for Auburn's trip to Starkville. Taylor's absence would make the Bulldogs a more favorable matchup for the Tigers.
Auburn also hosts Arkansas and Samford, giving Golesh opportunities to build momentum before the Iron Bowl against Alabama.
Could Auburn enter the Iron Bowl with a 7-4 record and a road victory over Georgia already on its résumé?
But this isn't just about the final record.
Bowl eligibility would give Auburn additional practices to evaluate younger players, develop future starters and prepare for the 2027 season.
One of the biggest names to watch is quarterback Tristan Tia.
Could Golesh use those extra practices to give Tia valuable first-team repetitions while Byrum Brown finishes the season as Auburn's starter?
Offensive lineman Ty Buster is another player who could benefit from additional development time after dealing with injuries.
The Tigers could also use bowl preparation to evaluate their roster, establish plans for returning players and identify offseason needs.
Auburn still has difficult challenges ahead, including Ole Miss and Alabama, but the possibility of a seven-win season is becoming more realistic.
Would you consider 7-5 a successful first season for Alex Golesh?

Alex Golesh's Auburn Staff MISSED on Key Players! Will They Fix Their Mistakes?!
Episode 49
Show notes
Auburn football's first-year coaching staff faces serious questions about its transfer portal decisions and roster construction. Did Alex Golesh and his staff misjudge Auburn's talent needs, particularly along the offensive and defensive lines?
On Auburn HIT, Zac Blackerby breaks down two major concerns surrounding the Tigers as they prepare for Ole Miss.
First, Ole Miss' loss to Texas may have made Auburn's upcoming trip to Oxford even more difficult.
The Rebels now face increased pressure in the College Football Playoff race, and Auburn could be facing a desperate Ole Miss team with little margin for error.
Would Auburn have benefited from Ole Miss entering this matchup with just one loss and a showdown against Georgia looming?
Then, the conversation turns to Auburn's roster construction.
Golesh and his staff emphasized finding players who fit their schemes during their first offseason, but have some of those evaluations fallen short?
The offensive and defensive lines have struggled to consistently control games, while Auburn's edge rushing production remains a concern.
Jared Smith entered the season with major expectations, but his development has not yet delivered the impact Auburn needs.
Zac explains why the Tigers may need to change their transfer portal philosophy, prioritize elite difference-makers and invest more aggressively in premium positions.
With a full recruiting and transfer portal cycle ahead, the decisions Auburn makes this offseason could determine how quickly Golesh can elevate the program.
Can Auburn's coaching staff recognize its mistakes and make the necessary adjustments?

Auburn's Pass Rush Is GETTING WORSE! Jared Smith's Concerning Numbers EXPOSE a Major Problem!
Episode 48
Show notes
Auburn football's pass rush has become a major concern for Alex Golesh and defensive coordinator DJ Durkin, and Jared Smith's declining pass-rush win rate reveals just how serious the problem has become.
Seven games into the season, Auburn is still searching for consistent pressure off the edge after building its offseason plan around Smith's expected development.
According to Pro Football Focus numbers discussed in the episode, Smith recorded eight pass-rush wins on 53 opportunities last season, approximately a 15% win rate.
This season, Smith has recorded just 11 wins on 122 pass-rushing snaps, dropping his win rate to approximately 9%.
That's more than double the opportunities with only three additional wins.
But Smith isn't solely responsible for Auburn's defensive struggles.
The departures of Keldric Faulk, Kieran Crawford and other experienced defenders left Auburn without the same level of proven pass-rushing talent. The dismissal of Xavier Atkins and injury to J.J. Faulk have created additional challenges.
Da'Shawn Womack has contributed, but Auburn still lacks a consistently dominant edge presence capable of changing opposing offenses.
Could DJ Durkin create additional pressure by sending linebackers like Demarcus Riddick, Bryce Deas or Elijah Melendez more frequently?
With Ole Miss approaching and Arkansas, Samford and Mississippi State still on the schedule, Auburn needs answers immediately.
We examine Smith's concerning statistics, the impact of Auburn's defensive personnel losses, potential schematic adjustments and why landing an impact edge rusher in the transfer portal must become a priority.

Alex Golesh ADMITS Auburn's Offense FAILED! Jeremiah Cobb and Omar Mabson Deserve BETTER!
Episode 47
Show notes
Auburn football's rushing attack has become a major concern for Alex Golesh after the Tigers struggled to establish anything on the ground against LSU. Jeremiah Cobb and Omar Mabson combined for just 27 rushing yards, raising serious questions about Auburn's offensive line and running game.
Cobb finished with 14 yards, while Mabson managed just 13 as Auburn averaged only 1.9 yards per rushing attempt, including sack yardage.
But are Auburn's running backs actually the problem?
Throughout the offseason, Golesh emphasized the importance of running the football and creating offensive balance. Yet against LSU, Auburn struggled to find ways to get its running backs involved effectively.
LSU focused on limiting quarterback Byrum Brown's rushing ability, forcing Auburn to find other ways to move the football. Unfortunately, the Tigers couldn't consistently create opportunities for Cobb and Mabson.
Golesh acknowledged that there was little positive to take away from Saturday's performance, but the biggest concern may be whether Auburn's offensive coaching staff is putting its playmakers in positions to succeed.
There is one potential reason for optimism.
Auburn has faced an exceptionally difficult stretch of defensive fronts, including Tennessee, Georgia and LSU. Ole Miss presents another challenge, but the remaining schedule could offer more favorable matchups against Arkansas and Mississippi State.
Can Golesh and Auburn's offensive line finally establish a consistent rushing attack, or will these problems continue to undermine the Tigers?
We examine Auburn's offensive struggles, the lack of production from Jeremiah Cobb and Omar Mabson, Byrum Brown's impact on the running game and what must change before Ole Miss.

Auburn's Offensive Line Problems Are BACK! HUGE Recruiting Loss Makes Things WORSE!
Episode 46
Show notes
Auburn football's offensive line problems returned against LSU, and now Alex Golesh has another setback to deal with after defensive line recruit Nate Kamba flipped his commitment to South Carolina.
Just when Auburn appeared to have found stability up front following its historic victory over Georgia, LSU exposed major concerns with the Tigers' pass protection.
Offensive coordinator Joel Gordon believed Auburn had finally identified the right five offensive linemen, but Saturday's performance raised new questions about whether the unit has truly improved.
LSU's defensive front overwhelmed Auburn's offensive line, with Prince Amon-Mielen creating serious problems for the Tigers' offensive tackles.
Quarterback Byrum Brown also struggled to find the comfort and rhythm he displayed against Georgia, holding onto the football longer and facing consistent pressure.
Was Auburn's offensive line improvement against Georgia a one-week breakthrough, or can the Tigers find consistency before facing Ole Miss?
Meanwhile, Auburn suffered a major recruiting setback when 2027 defensive lineman Nate Comba flipped his commitment to South Carolina.
The 6-foot-4, 300-pound prospect from North Carolina was a significant addition to Golesh's recruiting class and represented Auburn's emphasis on rebuilding the trenches.
Now, the Tigers must determine how to replace that commitment and whether they can regain momentum with other defensive line targets, including Karlos May.
We break down Auburn's offensive line struggles, Byrum Brown's performance, LSU's dominant pass rush and what Comba's departure means for Auburn's 2027 recruiting class.
Can Alex Golesh get the Tigers back on track before another challenging SEC road matchup?

Auburn's Defense Was EXPOSED by LSU! Too Many Mistakes in Transfer Portal?
Episode 45
Show notes
Auburn football's defense was exposed by LSU, and now a major offseason decision is raising questions. Did Alex Golesh and the Tigers make a costly mistake letting cornerback Jay Crawford leave for Ole Miss?
Auburn's defense had no answers for LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt in Saturday's disappointing loss at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
After shutting down Georgia's offense just one week earlier, the Tigers struggled to generate pressure, disrupt the passing game or make meaningful defensive adjustments against LSU.
Now, Auburn faces another difficult challenge against Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss in Oxford.
But one familiar name could make that matchup even more frustrating.
Former Auburn cornerback Jay Crawford is now starting for Ole Miss, and his departure raises questions about Auburn's offseason roster management and transfer portal evaluations.
Could keeping Crawford have changed the outlook of Auburn's secondary?
A true No. 1 SEC cornerback can impact an entire defense, taking pressure off players like Rayshawn Pleasant, Andre Jordan Jr. and Champ Anthony while allowing defensive coordinators more flexibility.
Instead, Auburn's secondary has struggled in its biggest home games against Florida and LSU.
We examine whether Crawford's departure was an avoidable mistake, why Auburn couldn't disrupt Sam Leavitt and what defensive adjustments must happen before facing Ole Miss.
Can DJ Durkin find answers before another talented quarterback takes advantage of Auburn's struggling secondary?
And will Auburn regret letting Jay Crawford walk when the Tigers face their former cornerback this weekend?

Auburn's BIGGEST Concern vs. LSU! Could 5-Star Zion Elee Return to the Tigers' Radar?!
Episode 44
Show notes
Auburn football faces a massive challenge against LSU, and protecting Byrum Brown could determine whether Alex Golesh and the Tigers can pull off another SEC upset!
On today's Auburn HIT, we break down Auburn's offensive line concerns ahead of Saturday's matchup against LSU at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
LSU's defensive front features two dangerous pass rushers in Princewill Umanmielen and Deuce Geralds, who have combined for approximately 13 sacks according to the numbers discussed in this episode.
Auburn's offensive tackles have shown encouraging signs, but the interior offensive line remains a concern.
Wilson Zierer, Kenneth McManus and Cole Best will need to build on their performance against Georgia if the Tigers want to keep Brown upright.
Can Auburn establish enough balance in its offense to prevent LSU from attacking the quarterback on every passing down?
Plus, a major college football coaching change could create an intriguing transfer portal opportunity for Auburn.
Maryland has reportedly fired head coach Mike Locksley, raising questions about the future of former five-star defensive prospect Zion Elee.
Auburn recruited Ealy heavily before he chose Maryland, and his name is already appearing in speculation about potential transfer candidates.
Could DJ Durkin and Auburn pursue Elee again if he eventually enters the transfer portal?
We discuss why his previous recruiting relationship with the Tigers makes this a storyline worth watching.

Auburn MUST Unleash Byrum Brown vs. LSU! Alabama Exhibition Gets HEATED!
Episode 43
Show notes
Auburn football must unleash Byrum Brown early against LSU if the Tigers want another massive SEC upset! After shocking Georgia in Athens, can Alex Golesh and Joel Gordon build an offensive game plan that puts Auburn's biggest weapon to work immediately?
On today's Auburn HIT, we break down why Byrum Brown's rushing ability could determine Saturday's matchup against LSU at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Brown has rushed for more than 100 yards in back-to-back games against two of the SEC's toughest defenses. Pro Football Focus also ranks him third nationally among rushing quarterbacks this season.
But Auburn continues to struggle with slow starts.
The Tigers fell behind Georgia 14-0 before mounting their comeback. Against an LSU defense that presents another major challenge, Auburn cannot afford to spend the opening quarter searching for its offensive identity.
Should Joel Gordon call No. 17's number on the very first drive?
Plus, Auburn basketball and Alabama basketball delivered an intense preseason exhibition that felt anything but meaningless!
Steven Pearl and Nate Oats exchanged heated moments, the players brought plenty of physicality, and the rivalry atmosphere was already in full force.
Despite Auburn falling short, the exhibition provided an early look at what Pearl's team could become once its roster is healthy and eligible.

Elijah Melendez Is Taking OVER Auburn's Defense! Xavier Atkins' Exit Changes EVERYTHING!
Episode 42
Show notes
Elijah Melendez is emerging as the new face of Auburn football's defense, and Xavier Atkins' dismissal could make his leadership even more important as the Tigers prepare to face LSU.
After Auburn's historic upset of No. 1 Georgia, Alex Golesh and defensive coordinator DJ Durkin have plenty of reasons to feel confident about the future of their defense.
But Auburn's recent social media activity may have revealed something even bigger about Melendez's growing role within the program.
On today's Auburn HIT, we examine how Melendez has become one of Auburn's most important defensive players and why his leadership could define the Tigers' next chapter.
A recent War Eagle Plus locker room video prominently featured Melendez addressing his teammates following the Georgia victory.
For a sophomore, that kind of leadership stands out.
Melendez has already established himself on the field with physical tackling, impressive run defense, an interception against Gunner Stockton and a crucial late-game pass breakup against Georgia.
Now he's emerging as a vocal leader inside Auburn's locker room.
With Atkins no longer on the roster, Auburn needs other defenders to take on greater responsibilities.
Bryce Deas is one of those players.
His ability to defend the run, cover tight ends and running backs, and execute his assignments will be critical against Lane Kiffin's LSU offense.
Jared Smith is another name to watch.
Auburn needs Smith to become a more consistent pass-rushing threat, especially following Atkins' departure.
Smith showed encouraging flashes against Georgia, but can he deliver his best performance against LSU?
We discuss why Melendez, Deas and Smith could determine whether Auburn's defense builds on its Georgia performance and pulls off another SEC upset.
Has Elijah Melendez officially become the face of Auburn's defense?

Byrum Brown Just Joined LEGENDARY Company! Has Auburn FINALLY Unlocked Its Offense?!
Episode 41
Show notes
Auburn quarterback Byrum Brown just joined legendary company alongside Vince Young, Kyler Murray and Nick Marshall following the Tigers' stunning upset of No. 1 Georgia! But has Alex Golesh finally discovered the offensive identity Auburn needs to compete with anybody in college football?
On today's Auburn HIT, we break down two incredible statistics from Auburn's historic victory in Athens and explain why Brown's rushing ability could be the key to beating LSU.
According to Auburn's athletic department, Brown became the first quarterback since Vince Young in the 2005 national championship game to rush for at least 100 yards in a victory over the AP No. 1 team.
He also became Auburn's first quarterback since Nick Marshall in 2013 to rush for 100 yards in consecutive games.
And there's another impressive comparison.
Brown became the first quarterback since Heisman Trophy winner Kyler Murray in 2018 to record at least 150 passing yards and 100 rushing yards against the nation's top-ranked team.
But these accomplishments tell only part of the story.
Brown's physical running style creates opportunities throughout Auburn's offense. His ability to extend drives forces defenses to respect the quarterback run, opening opportunities for Jeremiah Cobb, Omar Mabson, Chas Nimrod and Keshaun Singleton.
Against Georgia, Auburn finally leaned into those strengths earlier in the game.
Now the challenge is building on that success.
With Lane Kiffin and LSU coming to Jordan-Hare Stadium, Auburn needs Brown involved in the rushing attack from the opening possession rather than waiting until the offense starts struggling.
Can Brown deliver another historic performance against LSU? And has Auburn finally found the offensive formula that could change its entire season?

Auburn NEEDS These 2 Players to BEAT LSU!
Episode 40
Show notes
Auburn football has a chance to pull off another massive SEC upset against LSU, but Jeremiah Cobb and Chas Nimrod could determine whether Alex Golesh and the Tigers can build on their historic victory over No. 1 Georgia!
After defeating the Bulldogs 27-24 in Athens, Auburn returns to Jordan-Hare Stadium looking for its second consecutive statement victory.
But beating LSU will require another strong offensive performance.
On today's Auburn HIT, we identify two offensive playmakers who could make the biggest difference against LSU, along with two additional players who will be critical to Auburn's success.
First, Jeremiah Cobb needs to become an even bigger part of the rushing attack.
Byrum Brown was outstanding against Georgia, but Auburn cannot afford to rely exclusively on its quarterback's legs throughout a demanding SEC schedule.
Cobb has an opportunity to take pressure off Brown, establish consistency on the ground and help Auburn control the football against another physical defensive front.
Omar Mabson could also contribute to the running game, while questions remain about Bryson Washington's involvement.
The second player to watch is Chas Nimrod.
While Keshaun Singleton has established himself as a reliable receiving option, Auburn needs more explosive plays through the air.
Nimrod has demonstrated his ability to stretch defenses vertically, but the Tigers haven't consistently utilized that part of his game this season.
Could LSU be the opponent where Auburn finally unleashes Nimrod downfield?
We also examine the importance of center Cole Best, the improvement of Auburn's offensive line and Joel Gordon's play-calling adjustments against Georgia.
With Brown's health and workload becoming increasingly important, Auburn needs a complete offensive performance to defeat LSU.
Which Auburn offensive player will make the biggest difference Saturday?

Xavier Atkins BREAKS SILENCE After Auburn DISMISSAL! Alex Golesh Makes HUGE Culture Decision!
Episode 39
Show notes
Xavier Atkins has been dismissed from Auburn football, and the former All-American linebacker has now responded publicly! Alex Golesh's decision to move on from one of the Tigers' most talented defensive players raises major questions about Auburn's locker room, team culture and linebacker depth heading into LSU.
On today's Auburn HIT, we break down the latest developments surrounding Atkins' dismissal, his public response and what the decision means for Auburn's defense.
Atkins missed Auburn's historic 27-24 victory over No. 1 Georgia while serving a suspension. Following reports of his dismissal, Atkins posted a statement expressing respect for Auburn University and support for his former teammates.
He also indicated that his focus would remain on his health, family and academics before entering the transfer portal at the appropriate time.
But why did Auburn make this decision?
Reports discussed on the show suggest that concerns from teammates may have played a role in the disciplinary process. While the complete circumstances remain unclear, Golesh has consistently emphasized the importance of protecting Auburn's culture.
Moving on from a former All-American represents one of the most significant personnel decisions of his young tenure.
The good news for Auburn is that its defense just delivered its best performance of the season without Atkins.
Elijah Melendez, Bryce Diaz and DeMarcus Riddick helped Auburn contain Georgia's rushing attack, with DJ Durkin's defense showing improved discipline and run fits.
However, linebacker depth remains a legitimate concern if injuries occur.
We examine whether Auburn's defense can maintain its momentum, why Melendez has emerged as a leader and what Atkins' departure could mean for the Tigers' locker room.
Did Alex Golesh make the right decision for Auburn football's future?

Alex Golesh and Auburn Tigers Can BEAT ANYBODY After Georgia Upset!
Episode 38
Show notes
Auburn football just changed the entire narrative of its 2026 season! After stunning No. 1 Georgia 27-24 in Athens, Alex Golesh and the Auburn Tigers have proven they can compete with anybody remaining on their SEC schedule.
But was Auburn's historic victory a one-time performance, or did the Tigers finally discover their identity?
Auburn delivered its most complete offensive performance of the season against one of the toughest defenses in college football.
Byrum Brown looked comfortable, confident and dangerous as both a passer and runner. Jeremiah Cobb found running lanes against Georgia's defense, while receivers Chas Nimrod, Keshaun Singleton and Jeremiah Koger made critical contributions.
Even Christian Neptune got involved with a touchdown pass!
Perhaps the biggest surprise was Auburn's offensive line, which delivered its best performance of the season in arguably the most difficult environment imaginable.
And what about Joel Gordon?
Despite speculation that Alex Golesh had taken over play-calling responsibilities, the offensive coordinator reportedly remained responsible for the offense against Georgia.
If Gordon can consistently produce that level of execution, Auburn's offensive ceiling could be significantly higher than previously expected.
Now attention turns toward LSU.
After winning in Athens for the first time since 2005, Auburn returns home with renewed confidence and an opportunity to build on its biggest victory in years.
We discuss why LSU is a winnable matchup, how Auburn's improved play in the trenches changes expectations against Ole Miss and Alabama, and why Alex McPherson's game-winning field goal deserves a permanent place in Auburn football history.
Can Auburn turn one historic upset into a second-half SEC surge?

Auburn vs. Georgia Prediction: These 2 Tigers MUST STEP UP! Can Auburn Avoid Disaster?!
Episode 37
Show notes
Auburn football faces a massive challenge against Georgia, and Alex Golesh's Tigers need two offensive players to step up if they want any chance of pulling off an upset in Athens. Plus, we reveal an official Auburn vs. Georgia score prediction. With Byrum Brown facing one of the toughest defenses on Auburn's schedule, tight end Arlis Boardingham and center Cole Best could determine whether the Tigers can compete against Georgia. Boardingham needs to become a reliable target in the passing game, particularly when Georgia's defensive front puts pressure on Brown. His ability to catch passes, create mismatches and contribute as a blocker could be essential to Auburn's offensive success. Meanwhile, Cole Best faces enormous pressure as the leader of Auburn's offensive line. The Tigers have struggled with consistency up front, and Best has received significant criticism over the past two weeks. Can Auburn's center deliver his best performance against Georgia's talented defensive line? We also break down Auburn's biggest concern heading into Saturday: another disastrous first quarter. Auburn has struggled to establish offensive rhythm early in games, and falling behind Georgia in Athens could make an already difficult matchup nearly impossible. Could Auburn's defense keep the Tigers competitive, or will Georgia eventually pull away? The official prediction is Georgia defeating Auburn 35-17, with concerns about Auburn's slow starts, offensive line struggles and ability to sustain drives against an elite opponent. We examine what Auburn must do to outperform that prediction, why Boardingham and Best are critical to the game plan and how this matchup could shape expectations for the rest of the season. Auburn Fans Are OUTRAGED Over Savannah Bananas?! Why Auburn Athletics Got This RIGHT!
Episode 36
Show notes
Auburn Athletics is bringing the Savannah Bananas and Banana Ball back to Auburn in 2027, with games scheduled at Plainsman Park and Jordan-Hare Stadium. But some Auburn Tigers fans are criticizing the decision, and the backlash raises a bigger question about the future of Auburn athletics. Why are fans upset about an event that could bring thousands of visitors and additional revenue to Auburn? The Savannah Bananas have become one of the biggest entertainment attractions in sports, selling out venues across the country. Their 2027 tour will bring all six Banana Ball teams to Auburn, with two games at Plainsman Park and another at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Auburn officials are anticipating approximately 100,000 attendees across the three games. For Auburn University, the athletic department and local businesses, that represents a significant opportunity. The announcement also comes after Auburn moved its home football game against Baylor to Atlanta, a controversial decision that raised concerns about lost revenue for businesses surrounding campus. Now Auburn is working to bring additional major events to town, including concerts, international soccer and Banana Ball. We discuss why these decisions make financial sense in the modern era of college athletics, how additional revenue opportunities could support Auburn's competitive future and why fans should separate their frustrations with Auburn football from the administration's efforts to generate resources. Not everyone has to enjoy Banana Ball. But does that make bringing the Savannah Bananas to Auburn a bad decision? There's a difference between questioning how Auburn spends its resources and criticizing the university for finding new ways to generate them. Do you support Auburn hosting the Savannah Bananas, or do you understand the criticism? #AuburnTigers #SavannahBananas #AuburnAthletics
