  1. Pete Golding Won't Watch. We Will. | CFP Rankings Watch-Along LIVE

    Episode 3139

    Show notes

Everybody will be watching for one number tonight: where Ole Miss lands in the first College Football Playoff rankings. That's the wrong number to fixate on. Ole Miss is 6-2 and No. 12 in the AP poll, and the committee's list can change completely on Saturday, when No. 2 Georgia comes to Oxford. Tonight tells you what that game is worth.

    Four days to Georgia.

Steven Willis and Tyler Komis of Ole Miss on SI watch the first College Football Playoff rankings live, react as the committee's top 25 drops, and break down what a win over Georgia does for Ole Miss's path to a home playoff game.

    📌 THREE THINGS

    •

Pete Golding said Monday he won't be watching. He'll "look up in December." Caleb Cunningham on Tuesday: "We got Georgia next. That's all that matters." The players aren't chasing a number. The show is about what the number means.

    •

The format: 12 teams, five automatic bids and seven at-large. Seeds 1 through 4 get byes, seeds 5 through 8 host first-round games on campus Dec. 18 and 19, and 9 through 12 go on the road.

    •

Ole Miss enters 6-2, No. 12 in the AP and Coaches polls, with wins over LSU, Missouri and Auburn and 16 straight home wins. The next reveal is Tuesday, Nov. 10, after Georgia.

  2. John Fourcade: Chambliss Is The Better QB | Ole Miss vs Georgia Preview

    Episode 3137

    Show notes

Everybody remembers Ole Miss leading Auburn just 14-9 at halftime. That's the wrong number. The Rebels went 13 of 16 on third down, scored 45, and have come away empty in the red zone once in 31 trips this season. John Fourcade says the long, grinding drive is no longer a weakness for this offense, and it's exactly what beats Georgia.

Four days to Georgia. Eleven to Oklahoma.

Steven Willis brings back Ole Miss legend John Fourcade to break down the 45-15 win over Auburn and what beats Georgia in Oxford, then runs the SEC slate and asks what a Rebels win plus a Tennessee win over Kentucky would mean for Atlanta.

    ⏱️ CHAPTERS

0:00 Ole Miss dominated Auburn. Can it do it to Georgia?

1:41 Fourcade: "What's wrong with a long drive?"

3:57 Shekai Mills-Knight unlocked the Auburn defense

5:53 Caleb Cunningham is starting to become a dude

7:40 13 of 16 on third down and the red zone

13:04 Fourcade vs. Georgia: Herschel, Buck Belue and Vince Dooley

14:19 Fourcade likes the Rebels: the better QB and receivers

15:06 Stop the run or you have no chance against Georgia

17:00 A Suntarine Perkins legacy game

18:34 Mike Bobo's screens and Ole Miss on third down

    23:07 A tournament within a tournament: SEC Week 11

23:53 Fourcade goes down the SEC slate

24:31 Tennessee, Kentucky and the road to Atlanta

25:53 Oxford or the Saints Hall of Fame weekend?

    📌 THREE THINGS

    1. The long drive is the point. Fourcade's question for anyone who wants this offense to wing it: "What's wrong with a long drive, sustain the time, and take up the yardage and score some points?" Ole Miss led Auburn only 14-9 at halftime, then went 13 of 16 on third down and won 45-15. His rule: "The game plan first and foremost is win the game."

    2. Ole Miss has a three-back rotation now. With Pete Golding not expecting Kewan Lacy this week, Shekai Mills-Knight is the bigger back Steven wants against Georgia: "somebody that you can hand the ball off to 10 times, and if he gets 25 yards, they still have to make the tackle." Fourcade agrees: "a 3-headed monster is better than a 2-headed monster."

    3. Fourcade likes the Rebels, and says why: "We got, I think, the better quarterback and the better wide receivers," with Georgia holding "a little bit of nudge on the defensive side." The key is Gunner Stockton: "If you can keep Gunner in there and make him throw the football," Ole Miss can take care of business. His pick, and his alone: "I like the Rebels in this game."

    Episode 3136

    Show notes

Kirby Smart was asked how you stop Trinidad Chambliss, and his first answer was "How long you got?" Georgia's coach called Chambliss probably the best quarterback in the country. Pete Golding answered with the blueprint: why Ole Miss lost in Athens, why it won the Sugar Bowl, and the news on Kewan Lacy.

24:09 The LOOM Model calls Georgia a coin flip

    📌 THREE THINGS

    1. Golding isn't expecting Kewan Lacy this week. He said the Sugar Bowl turned on stopping the run on early downs, and "if you can't stop the run versus those guys, it's a long night."

    2. Golding said Chambliss had to "quit trying to live up to this expectation and all this hype." He won't watch the first playoff rankings. He'll look up in December.

    3. Kirby Smart said there's nothing Georgia can do that Chambliss hasn't seen: "You're not like tricking the guy." Georgia has 26 sacks. Ole Miss leads the SEC in fewest sacks allowed.

  6. Trinidad Chambliss Ran Auburn Out Of Oxford | Georgia Week Starts Now

    Episode 3133

    Show notes

A day later, Ole Miss 45, Auburn 15 looks even better. Trinidad Chambliss turned the second half around with his legs, Ole Miss converted 13 of 16 third downs, and Byrum Brown finished with five rushing yards. Now Georgia, the only team to lose to Auburn, comes to Oxford.

    Six days to Georgia.

Steven Willis goes live for the Sunday Reaction: second-day thoughts on the Auburn win after the rewatch, what Saturday's SEC results mean for Ole Miss, and the first look at Georgia week.

    📌 THREE THINGS

    •

Trinidad Chambliss was 9 of 15 for 100 yards and an interception in the first half. In the second half, he was 13 of 19 for 163 yards and two touchdowns, and he ran six times for 65 yards and a score.

    •

Ole Miss converted 13 of 16 third downs, ran 84 plays, picked up 30 first downs and punted once. It ran for 224 yards without Kewan Lacy.

    •

Auburn beat Georgia in Athens two weeks ago. On Saturday, Georgia beat Florida 27-8, ran for 217 yards and forced four turnovers. It plays in Oxford next Saturday night.

  7. Ole Miss vs Auburn LIVE: Trinidad Chambliss, Byrum Brown & Storylines

    Episode 3131

    Show notes

Everyone wants to talk about Georgia next Saturday. That's the danger. Auburn beat No. 1 Georgia and then lost by 21 at LSU, and nobody knows which version shows up in Oxford. Ole Miss has to beat this one without Kewan Lacy, against a quarterback who leads the SEC in rushing by a QB.

Today: Auburn at No. 12 Ole Miss. Kickoff 12:45 PM ET / 11:45 AM CT on SEC Network.

Steven Willis goes live from game day with Mike Huesmann for the last word before kickoff: the storylines that decide Ole Miss vs. Auburn, from Trinidad Chambliss's bounce-back to Byrum Brown's legs to life without Lacy, and a final score from both of them, plus yours in the chat.

    ⏱️ CHAPTERS
0:00 [FILL FROM THE STREAM VOD AFTER IT ENDS]

    📌 THREE THINGS

    •

Trinidad Chambliss gets a secondary that just gave up 387 passing yards at LSU. He's coming off three interceptions in Austin, but he has thrown a touchdown pass in 20 straight games, two short of Chad Kelly's school record.

    •

Byrum Brown is Auburn's offense: 480 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns, per 247Sports. Texas ran for 121 yards in the last 10:30 against Ole Miss, and Pete Golding's job this week was to eliminate the quarterback run game.

    •

Kewan Lacy is out, so Makhi Frazier carries the load behind a line that allows the fewest sacks in the SEC. Left tackle Terez Davis is questionable, and the final availability report drops about 90 minutes before kickoff.

  8. Trinidad Chambliss & Every SEC Game | Locked On Bets Game Day Picks

    Episode 3130

    Show notes

Auburn beat Georgia, so the easy read is that Ole Miss has a dangerous afternoon on its hands. Kevin Rogers of Locked On Bets doesn't buy it: play that game 10 times and he has Auburn winning it once, and he puts Auburn closer to Vanderbilt than to the top of the SEC. His case for Ole Miss starts with Trinidad Chambliss bouncing back from a three-interception night in Austin.

Auburn today. Seven days to Georgia.

This week is our 10 Million View Celebration. Thank you, Everydayers.

Steven Willis brings in Kevin Rogers of Locked On Bets on game day to handicap the SEC slate: Georgia and Florida in Atlanta, South Carolina at Oklahoma, Missouri and Arkansas, Texas and Mississippi State, and Ole Miss against Auburn, plus one game outside the SEC.

0:00 Locked On Bets' Kevin Rogers handicaps SEC game day

0:59 Is it still the world's largest cocktail party?

1:37 Georgia and Florida in Atlanta

    3:45 South Carolina at Oklahoma

    5:54 South Carolina's blown double-digit leads

9:00 Missouri and Arkansas: the Battle Line Rivalry

    10:47 Texas and Mississippi State

    13:38 Arch Manning's reclamation project

17:03 Can Trinidad Chambliss have three bad games in a row?

18:16 Is Auburn closer to Vanderbilt or to Ole Miss?

19:56 Kevin's game outside the SEC: Miami at North Carolina

    📌 THREE THINGS

    1. Kevin's sides, his calls and not the show's: Georgia over Florida in Atlanta, Oklahoma at home over South Carolina, the over in Missouri-Arkansas, Texas over Mississippi State, and Ole Miss over Auburn. Outside the SEC, he likes North Carolina at home against Miami, with Notre Dame up next for the Hurricanes.

    2. Kevin calls the Georgia win the outlier: "That game happens 10 times. They're not beating Georgia 9 times." He doesn't see a grind-it-out afternoon in Oxford either: "This is not going to be a low-scoring game that Ole Miss is going to win."

    3. Steven's question is whether Trinidad Chambliss can have three bad games in a row. He hasn't run for more than 10 yards in any of his last three, and Pete Golding says he'll run more. Kevin: "I think Chambliss gets on track after the 3-interception game last week."

  9. Michael Katz: How Many Bad Games Can Trinidad Chambliss Have? | Auburn

    Episode 3129

    Show notes

Everyone says Ole Miss needs a fast start against Auburn, and the mayor of Corinth wants the ball first if Ole Miss wins the toss. Steven says that's backwards: defer, get a three-and-out from an Auburn team that starts slow, and own the middle eight. Byrum Brown has 480 rushing yards, so the bigger worry is tackling in space, and Ole Miss has won 15 straight in Oxford heading into Saturday.

Auburn tomorrow. Eight days to Georgia.

This week is our 10 Million View Celebration. Thank you, Everydayers.

Steven Willis and Tom Vanderford argue whether Ole Miss should receive or defer, why this is another tackling game, how the injury report and the schedule set up a path to Atlanta, and what the mayor sees for Saturday, ending on his final score for Auburn.

    ⏱️ CHAPTERS

0:00 The mayor of Corinth on Ole Miss vs. Auburn

1:03 Don't let Auburn front-run: receive or defer?

2:01 Byrum Brown's arm is where Ole Miss has the edge

    2:24 Another tackling game

3:14 The injury report and Makhi Frazier

3:45 Style points don't matter anymore

4:22 Win out, and it's Atlanta

7:49 Your call: does Ole Miss outrush Auburn?

12:14 The mayor's final thoughts and his score

12:59 The mayor's weekend: a first Ole Miss game for a Notre Dame fan

    📌 THREE THINGS

    1. Receive or defer? The mayor wants the ball: "If we won the toss, we really need to elect to receive." Steven disagrees. Get a quick three-and-out while the crowd is loudest, get the ball back, go up 7-0 and play the middle eight. Either way, both want Ole Miss on top early so Auburn can't front-run.

    2. Tackle in space. Byrum Brown has run for about 480 yards, but Steven sees the edge in making him throw, and that puts it on Jalyn Crawford and whoever is on the outside: "I hate to say it, but this is another tackling game." The mayor: "We're going to have to tackle well the rest of the season."

    3. The path is there. Four of the last five are in Oxford, and the road game is Oklahoma. "If Ole Miss wins out, there's a good chance they end up in Atlanta," Steven says. The mayor agrees: "Yeah, we'll be in Atlanta."

  11. Why Ole Miss Beats Auburn | Trinidad Chambliss Bounce Back & Vegas Line

    Episode 3126

    Show notes

Everyone wants to talk about Trinidad Chambliss's three picks in Austin. That's the wrong frame for Saturday. Even on the worst night of his Ole Miss career he threw a touchdown pass, his 20th straight game with one, and now he gets an Auburn secondary that just gave up 387 passing yards to LSU, one corner allowing 10 catches on 10 targets. It's a get-right game.

Auburn tomorrow. Eight days to Georgia.

This week is our 10 Million View Celebration. Thank you, Everydayers.

Steven Willis gives three reasons Ole Miss beats Auburn, three keys to victory and three players to watch, then reads how the FanDuel line has moved since Monday.

    ⏱️ CHAPTERS

0:00 Why Ole Miss beats Auburn

    1:13 Reason 1: a Trinidad Chambliss get-right game

4:12 Reason 2: locked in on the quarterback run

5:14 Reason 3: a clean game, because "Auburn needs help"

6:56 Vaught-Hemingway has changed since Auburn's last visit

8:17 Makhi Frazier has to run like a No. 1 back

9:54 Your call: does Chambliss throw for 300?

12:59 Key 1: keep Byrum Brown to small gains

13:29 Key 2: fix the timing on the deep crossers

14:09 Key 3: play a clean football game

14:33 Players to watch: Trinidad Chambliss

15:06 Makhi Frazier, the lead back with Kewan Lacy out

15:44 Keaton Thomas and the Auburn quarterback run

16:25 Who's out on the availability report

17:26 Don't forget: Auburn won in Athens

21:43 How the FanDuel line moved this week

22:47 Auburn's injuries and how I get to my score

24:20 10 Million views, and a surprise in the works

    📌 THREE THINGS

    1. Chambliss is due. He was 25 of 52 for 250 yards and three interceptions at Texas, and 6 of 18 at halftime. A week earlier he threw three touchdowns against Missouri. Auburn is 60th nationally in EPA per pass on defense, per Sports Illustrated. "Saturday is the chance to make those throws against the secondary that has been giving those throws up."

    2. Small gains, not zero. Byrum Brown is Auburn's offense, and Pete Golding's word for the quarterback run was "eliminate." Steven isn't worried about one or two big runs. He's worried about 8-yard runs on 2nd and 7 that keep the chains moving. From the 10:30 mark of the fourth quarter on, Texas ran for 121 yards.

    3. Don't help. Zac Blackerby of Locked On Auburn said it on our crossover: "Auburn needs help to win this game." Ole Miss has won 15 straight in Oxford. Steven's keys are ball security, no stupid penalties and tackling, plus hitting one deep crosser early: "Hit one early, the game kind of changes. Everybody gets to exhale."

  13. Auburn Needs Help To Beat Trinidad Chambliss, Ole Miss | Locked On Auburn Crossover

    Episode 3124

    Show notes

Every Auburn preview this week starts with Byrum Brown. Locked On Auburn's Zac Blackerby says that's the wrong place to start: "Auburn needs help to win this game." The Tigers are coming off a 38-17 loss to LSU, and Ole Miss has won 15 straight in Oxford. The real question is Trinidad Chambliss, who was 6 of 18 with two picks in the first half at Texas, against a DJ Durkin defense that does "a lot of the same things" Texas did.

Two days to Auburn. Nine to Georgia.

This week is our 10 Million View Celebration. Thank you, Everydayers.

Steven Willis and Zac Blackerby of Locked On Auburn take Ole Miss vs. Auburn from both sides: what each team needs out of Halloween, the players nobody is talking about, and each team's path to a win, ending on why Auburn's defense could bring back the problems Chambliss had in Austin.

    ⏱️ CHAPTERS

0:00 Ole Miss vs. Auburn on Halloween: the crossover

1:14 The Ole Miss storyline: win out and it's all there

1:57 The Auburn storyline: who is this team after LSU?

3:26 Is 7-4 into the Iron Bowl Auburn's best case?

4:32 What Zac wants to see from Auburn on Saturday

5:59 Is Trinidad Chambliss off, or is it the defenses?

7:39 Your call: which storyline matters most?

10:55 Auburn's linebackers, the room to watch

12:11 The Ole Miss running backs without Kewan Lacy

13:54 When Auburn has the ball: the interior lines

15:49 Auburn's perimeter game vs. the Ole Miss DBs

16:50 Byrum Brown's throwing motion and the quick game

17:20 Jalyn Crawford and the Ole Miss corners

21:14 Ole Miss's path: get the explosive plays back

21:43 Auburn's path: start fast and find an identity

22:28 "Auburn needs help to win this game"

    23:08 Vaught-Hemingway isn't the same building

    24:34 Final predictions

25:11 DJ Durkin's defense looks a lot like Texas

    📌 THREE THINGS

    1. Auburn needs help. Zac's path for Auburn is the one it rode to Athens: start fast, find an identity, and get everyone on defense to "play out of their mind." But he says it plainly: "Auburn needs help to win this game." That means a Trinidad Chambliss turnover, a fumble or bad Ole Miss penalties.

    2. Chambliss is the storyline. He was 6 of 18 with two interceptions in the first half at Texas. Steven can forgive what Will Muschamp did and the drops. What worries him is the open misses: "It's the open misses, the opportunities to make plays against good teams."

    3. Oxford is a different building. Ole Miss has won 15 straight at home and lost three times there since 2021. "The Vaught-Hemingway Stadium that Auburn fans are just so used to going into, that doesn't exist right now," Steven says. Zac agrees: "That has dramatically changed."

  14. Bill Flowers: Byrum Brown Could Run All Over Ole Miss | Auburn Preview

    Episode 3123

    Show notes

The easy read on the Texas loss is that Trinidad Chambliss had a bad half. Ole Miss legend Bill Flowers says that's the wrong read. Chambliss was 6 of 18 with two interceptions as Ole Miss fell behind 24-3, and Flowers puts it on Will Muschamp: "Every play that you could possibly run, he had it covered." 📌 THREE THINGS

    1. Muschamp won the first half, not Chambliss's arm. Chambliss was 6 of 18 with two picks at halftime, but Flowers saw a coordinator who matched every call: "every time we had a play call, it was matched." His split of the night: "I'm giving the first half to Will Muschamp, and the second half I give it to John David."

    2. Keep a 4-3 in the bag. Steven says Texas won it on two explosive runs in the fourth quarter, the same two Blake Purchase counted on film. Flowers wants a "bulky old school" 4-3 look once an offense turns to the run. "If you've got a tool in your tool bag and you're not willing to use it, that's your fault."

    3. Byrum Brown is the worry. Brown has 480 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns, per Ole Miss Athletics, and Flowers fears the day he stops looking to pass first: "He's going to run all over us." Steven's counter: "If Ole Miss plays their best and Auburn plays their best, Auburn cannot beat Ole Miss."

  15. Blake Purchase: Pete Golding was right Texas Got 100 Yards On 2 Runs | Caleb Odom On Slow Starts

    Episode 3121

    Show notes

Every take on the Texas loss has been about a fourth quarter that fell apart. That's the wrong read. Blake Purchase went back to the film and said Texas got "like 100 or something plus yards on 2 rushes." Two runs and two missed angles, the same two plays Pete Golding pointed to on Monday.

Three days to Auburn. Ten to Georgia.

This week is our 10 Million View Celebration. Thank you, Everydayers.

Steven Willis builds the show from three Ole Miss press conferences: what Blake Purchase found on the Texas film and how Ole Miss tackles Auburn quarterback Byrum Brown, Caleb Odom on the slow starts and taking it day by day, and Delano Townsend on why the offensive line sees no drop-off without Kewan Lacy. It ends on what all three players said about playing at home.

    ⏱️ CHAPTERS

0:00 Two runs swung the Texas game

1:17 Purchase: "100 or something plus yards on 2 rushes"

2:13 The same diagnosis Golding gave: angles

3:06 The strip-sack and the comeback

3:33 Byrum Brown: "Get multiple guys on him"

    5:11 "1-0 every day"

6:22 Everything is still in front of Ole Miss

    7:51 Georgia comes to Oxford

14:52 Caleb Odom: "We just got to be better"

16:13 The 24-3 hole in Austin

16:43 Winning out, one day at a time

17:48 Lacy and the backs behind him

    18:23 "Empty the stadium"

19:02 The line, from an ex-Alabama tight end

19:24 Auburn looks "very similar to Texas"

22:31 Delano Townsend: "Not a lot" without Lacy

23:11 No sack at Texas without Terez Davis

23:52 Davis expected back: who plays right tackle?

24:58 "Never at home": 15 straight

25:52 Three press conferences, one picture

27:02 2022 to now: the 10 million views

    📌 THREE THINGS

    1. Two runs, not a collapse. Blake Purchase said Texas had "like 100 or something plus yards on 2 rushes," which is his own film count. His fix: "leveraging the ball, taking good angles on tackles." His plan for Auburn's Byrum Brown, who has 480 rushing yards per Ole Miss Athletics: "get multiple guys on him."

    2. The slow starts are on everyone. Ole Miss has scored on its first drive once this season. Caleb Odom: "We just got to be better, like just period." Winning out "is obviously what we want to do," he said, but it starts with Tuesday's practice.

    3. No drop-off without Lacy. Delano Townsend on life without Kewan Lacy: "Not a lot." Makhi Frazier steps in, and the line didn't allow a sack at Texas with Terez Davis out. On 15 straight home wins: "We never try to lose, but, you know, never at home."

  17. Kewan Lacy Out vs Auburn | Golding's Come-To-Jesus With The Defense | Ole Miss vs Brown

    Episode 3120

    Show notes

Every Auburn-week conversation started with Kewan Lacy's shoulder. That's the wrong question now. Pete Golding answered it Monday: Lacy dislocated it, and there is "no chance" he plays Saturday. The real story is what Golding said next, that Trinidad Chambliss will run more after three straight games under 10 rushing yards.

Four days to Auburn. Eleven to Georgia.

This week is our 10 Million View Celebration. Thank you, Everydayers.

Steven Willis takes Pete Golding's Monday press conference apart: who carries the ball without Kewan Lacy, why Ole Miss keeps starting slow, the come-to-Jesus Golding had with his defense after Texas, and the plan to stop Auburn quarterback Byrum Brown.

    ⏱️ CHAPTERS

1:03 Golding: "No chance" this week

2:31 What Ole Miss loses without Lacy

17:32 15 straight wins at home

23:36 Auburn: which team shows up?

24:21 Byrum Brown is Auburn's offense

24:55 "Eliminate the quarterback run game"

    25:54 D.J. Durkin, a familiar face

26:21 What a home crowd is worth

    26:39 The FanDuel line

27:11 How Ole Miss beats Auburn

    📌 THREE THINGS

    1. Lacy is out, and Chambliss is the answer. Golding said Lacy dislocated his shoulder and won't play Auburn. Makhi Frazier (101 yards vs. Missouri) and Shekai Mills-Knight get the carries. And Golding said of Chambliss, after seven rushing yards at Texas: "You'll see a little more of that moving forward."

    2. Golding put the defense on notice. "I think it's been very inconsistent," he said. Texas ran for 121 yards in the fourth quarter from the 10:30 mark on. "It's two plays, with vice tackles in the hole," and "it's how we missed the tackle." He called Sunday night's meeting a come-to-Jesus.

    3. Stop Byrum Brown and Ole Miss wins. Brown has 480 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns, per CBS Sports, and seven interceptions. Golding: "You got to eliminate the quarterback run game." Ole Miss has five interceptions in its last three games.

  18. John Fourcade: Don't Lose Another Game And You're In | Chambliss vs Texas

    Episode 3119

    Show notes

Every reaction to Texas has called it the loss that defined the Ole Miss season. That's the wrong question. Ole Miss is 5-2 and 3-2 in the SEC, and four of its last five games are in Oxford, where it has won 15 straight. Ole Miss legend John Fourcade's answer is simpler: "Don't lose another game and you're in."

Five days to Auburn. Twelve to Georgia.

This week is our 10 Million View Celebration. Thank you, Everydayers.

Steven Willis and John Fourcade go back through the 24-3 first half in Austin and the comeback that followed, work out what Auburn is after the loss to LSU, and go around the SEC board, ending on why Fourcade wants Saturday to be a get-right game before Georgia comes to town.

    ⏱️ CHAPTERS

0:00 Did the Texas loss matter beyond the margin for error?

2:13 John Fourcade on the first half in Austin

3:50 How to defend a quarterback like Chambliss

4:56 Chambliss: 6 of 18 and two picks at the half

    6:50 Will Muschamp's game plan

9:23 The comeback and the onside kick

10:04 "Don't lose another game and you're in"

10:27 Four of the last five at home

11:12 The SEC race and the two-loss pile

17:32 Auburn: a win over Georgia, then LSU

19:08 Golding adjusts after a loss

19:51 Why beating Auburn well matters for Georgia

20:40 Fourcade is 2-0 in Oxford this year

23:28 Florida vs. Georgia in Atlanta

    24:22 South Carolina at Oklahoma

    25:08 Mississippi State at Texas

27:09 Auburn at Ole Miss: a get-right game

28:10 Fourcade's Halloween weekend in Oxford

    📌 THREE THINGS

    1. The first half was the problem. Trinidad Chambliss was 6 of 18 with two interceptions at halftime, and Ole Miss trailed 24-3. "I don't know what team showed up in the first half," Fourcade said. His fix: get Chambliss on the move, "bootlegging and getting on the outside where he can see the field."

    2. The path is still there. Four of the last five games are in Oxford, and the only road trip left is Oklahoma on Nov. 14. Georgia comes to Oxford on Nov. 7. Fourcade put the whole season in one line: "Don't lose another game and you're in."

    3. Auburn should be a get-right game. Auburn beat Georgia in Athens, then lost 38-17 to LSU. "I don't see much of Auburn to scare me," Fourcade said, and he credits Pete Golding for adjusting well after the Florida loss. He'll be in Oxford Saturday, and he says Ole Miss is 2-0 when he's there.

  19. Chambliss Rattled For The First Time | Who Replaces Kewan Lacy? SEC Lines

    Episode 3117

    Show notes

Every reaction to the Texas loss treated it like the end of something. That's the wrong line. Ole Miss is 5-2 and 3-2 in the SEC with four of its last five games in Oxford, where it has won 15 straight and is 38-3 since 2021. The goal is still in front of this team. The margin for error is what's gone.

Five days to Auburn. Twelve to Georgia.

Steven Willis takes three lessons out of Austin, including the first time he has seen Trinidad Chambliss rattled, works through who carries the ball if Kewan Lacy's shoulder keeps him out, and reads this week's SEC board at FanDuel for how the market rates Ole Miss now.

    ⏱️ CHAPTERS

0:00 Every goal left, no game to spare

2:00 1. Every goal is still there: 4 of the last 5 in Oxford

5:09 2. This team fights to the end

6:11 The comeback: Chambliss to Horatio Fields

7:03 3. The least clean game, and Chambliss rattled

    8:17 Fourth-and-goal at the 2 before halftime

9:05 Seven rushing yards, third straight game under 10

9:40 A touchdown pass in 20 straight games

15:16 Lacy's shoulder: the same one he hurt vs. LSU

16:26 Makhi Frazier, the lead back

16:59 Shekai Mills-Knight, the change of pace

17:32 The real answer: Chambliss has to run

18:57 Replace Lacy with a plan, not a player

22:03 Auburn at Ole Miss: the FanDuel line

23:08 Florida vs. Georgia in Atlanta

    23:52 South Carolina-Oklahoma, MSU-Texas, Mizzou-Arkansas

25:03 What the board says about Ole Miss

26:08 Don't ride the roller coaster

    📌 THREE THINGS

    1. Ole Miss still controls its season. Pete Golding said so after the game, and Chambliss said "now we've got to win out." Auburn, Georgia, Wofford and Mississippi State all come to Oxford, and the only road trip left is Oklahoma on Nov. 14. Win five straight and Ole Miss is a two-loss team with a win over Georgia.

    2. Chambliss was not himself. He went 25 of 52 with three interceptions, a career high, including one on fourth-and-goal at the Texas 2 before halftime. He ran for seven yards, his third straight game under 10. "I was careless with the football," he said. The fix is putting his legs back in the plan.

    3. Makhi Frazier is next up if Lacy can't go. Lacy was carted off with the same shoulder he hurt against LSU, and there is no update yet. Frazier ran for 101 yards against Missouri and had 47 on six carries at Texas, including a 34-yard run. Shekai Mills-Knight is the change of pace.
