   Dana and her sister Erica travel to Miami, searching for answers about their grandfather's mysterious disappearance more than 60 years ago.

   What they uncover is a city with a complicated past, where organized crime, illegal gambling, and notorious nightclubs were part of the landscape.

   With help from Casey Piket, founder of the Miami History Substack and podcast, they discover a scandal involving the Clover Club, a nightclub on Biscayne Boulevard, and their grandfather, then Miami City Attorney Olavi Hendrickson.

   In February 1961, Olavi walked into the Clover Club and stayed for eight hours. By morning, there was a photograph, 33 drinks on the tab, an unpaid bill, and questions that would threaten his career.

   Was this simply a night gone wrong, or was Olavi caught up in something much bigger?

   Eight hours later, he was at the center of a scandal that made national headlines.

   In Episode 3 of Miami Mystery: The Disappearance of Olavi Hendrickson, host Dana Dean reconstructs the night using testimony from the Miami City Commission's 1961 investigation, newspaper archives and firsthand accounts.

   There were allegations of drinking and disorderly conduct, a photograph that made headlines, encounters with police, and questions about whether Olavi had been deliberately set up to embarrass him.

   Twenty months later, he disappeared.

   On October 16, 1962, former Miami City Attorney Olavi Hendrickson walked out of his home wearing his best black suit. He never returned.

   Nearly a year passed before his disappearance made headlines.

   In Episode 4 of Miami Mystery: The Disappearance of Olavi Hendrickson, host Dana Dean examines the mystery surrounding her grandfather's disappearance, including a 1963 Miami Herald article, accounts of threats against him and a handwritten letter mailed from Jacksonville, Florida, just two days after he vanished.

   The letter was addressed to Olavi's fifteen-year-old son. But he wouldn't receive it until twenty years later.

   Why did his mother keep it from him for so long? And does the letter really explain what happened to Olavi?

   The investigation also takes an unexpected turn when a retired Miami prosecutor reaches out to help uncover new leads.
