Terminators Show Up in Droves at Mustang Shop’s Private Show
Show notes
Most Mustang and/or Ford owners who are considered “in the know” have a favorite repair shop and mechanic – especially if their Ford-powered ride happens to be collectible. Living in and around The Motor City is no different. For fervent Mustang owners in Southeast Michigan, few shops carry a more trusted reputation than a small auto service center in Livonia, Michigan, just a few miles outside of Detroit. It’s called Oval Auto, owned and operated by master Ford tech Jeff Schembri and family.Schembri earned his Blue Oval stripes as a Ford dealership mechanic – but he soon learned that his quality work ethic, attention to detail and love for classic Fords could only meet his personal standards if he owned and managed his own shop. So he opened Oval Auto and, over years of hard work, built a loyal following that has owners driving from hours away just to get their ride repaired right. Highly skilled, knowledgeable and honest work at a fair price is Oval Auto’s calling card – and it’s a place where Jeff appreciates the cars as much as he does his customers.
While Oval Auto says it specializes in Ford, Lincoln & Mercury, its service bays are always filled with classic and high-performance Mustangs whose owners will gladly wait their turn to have their ride at a shop that can do just about anything for any year Stang. Podcast co-hosts John Clor and Mike Rey both have had their personal Mustangs worked on here, as well as their daily-driver Ford cars, SUVs and trucks. Schembri is more than a friend – he’s also an enthusiast owner who participates in the local Mustang community hosting cruise-ins and sponsoring clubs. But once year at the end of summer, he invites his loyal customers to a private car show that he holds on his home’s expansive backyard property – complete with a food truck, free event tees, custom trophies and hundreds of dollars in prizes. It’s his way to say Thank You.
This year, both John and Mike (along with their wives) were able to stop in at the event, as well as photojournalist Bill Cook, who is also an Oval customer that happened to bring his camera to the show. In this episode, you’ll get an inside look at some of the great customer Mustangs that we saw at this private gathering, as well as be amazed at the sheer number of SVT “Terminator” Mustang Cobras that seemed to outnumber just about any other model that Bill had photographed on that sunny fall afternoon. Enjoy!

Get Smart: Why The Passing of Ron Bramlett Was Such a Loss to the Mustang Community
Show notes
Mustang people “in the know” already know that we’ve lost a major player in our hobby with the passing of Ron Bramlett. For those active in the Mustang show and club world, Bramlett was bigger than life, thanks to his years of appearances in various Mustang magazines. But his work inventing “Restomod” versions of the Mustang and his efforts in the building of his family’s Mustangs Plus restoration parts business helped turn Ron Bramlett into a household name among enthusiasts.Insiders will tell you that it was more Bramlett’s many friendships and key roles with the Mustang Club of America that made him such an icon in the Mustang hobby. With this episode, John and Mike wanted to get you some of that insider perspective on the life of Ron Bramlett, and to do that, they had to “Get Smart” – as in get Bramlett’s lifelong friend, famed Mustang journalist Jim Smart – to come on and offer up some unique insight. Listen in and see why all Mustangers should know about and appreciate what Ron Bramlett meant to the Mustang world.

Winner-Winner Chicken Dinner: Frankenmuth Auto Fest Serves Up Tons of 71-73 Big Horses
Show notes
Road-trip warriors who are familiar with driving in “The Mitten State” – or even billboard spotters who travel up and down the I-75 corridor – have likely either been to or have seen signs for Frankenmuth. This Bavarian-themed little town in The Thumb area of Michigan is well-known as the home to Bronner’s, “The World’s Largest Christmas Store” as well as the mega family-style restaurants Zehnder’s and Bavarian Inn, where you can get their “World-Famous Chicken Dinners.” But for enthusiasts, the big attraction is the yearly Frankenmuth Auto Fest, held on the weekend following Labor Day.
It’s actually a three-day event full of food, fun, music and cars that draws some 2,500 vehicles and 150,000 people. It began nearly four decades ago as a main-street fundraiser for the Frankenmuth Rotary Club, Lion’s Club, American Legion, VFW and the Michigan Heroes Museum, but has now grown into a huge event managed by over 500 volunteers and now spilling into and filling the town’s sprawling Heritage Park.
If classic American Iron and pre-1987’s are your favorites, then you’ll want to head to town on either that Friday or Saturday. If you’re more into modern-day muscle, the show field opens up to all makes and model vehicles up to current model year on Sunday. If you can manage to pull yourself away from the car show, downtown Frankenmuth offers plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment for the whole family. With a population of just over 5,000, it’s small-town quaint with big-time appeal. In addition to Bronner’s and the chicken dinner restaurants, there a local brewery, specialty stores and even a wine-tasting shop. For show-goers, the Big Block Party is held Friday from 5-10 p.m. on Main Street. Saturday is the BIG car show, and on Saturday night there’s a live band under the pavilion with dancing, food and beverages. (Frankenmuth is the home of rock band Greta Van Fleet.) On Sunday they have another car show concluding with a 1 p.m. people’s choice awards ceremony where some 60 German Steins are the “trophies.” The event closes with a tribute to Veterans.
In this episode, John and Mike take us through the Mustang photos from the event taken by noted Ford car-show photographer Bill Cook. We couldn’t help but notice that this fall’s Mustang show-car footprint was dominated by the 1971-73 “Big Horses” – more and more of which seem to showing up on the show circuit. So check out the Stangs seen at the Auto Fest – without having to walk miles to see the Mustangs or gain all the calories from eating one of Frankenmuth’s world-famous chicken dinners!

Here’s Some of the Mustangs You Missed During the 2026 Woodward Dream Cruise
Show notes
The Woodward Dream Cruise is billed as North America’s largest one-day automotive event celebrating the classic car culture. With the Motor City’s famed Woodward Avenue known as the birthplace of the American auto industry, it only makes sense that this annual summer mega-event takes place in the metro Detroit area. Held on the third Saturday of August each year, the Dream Cruise attracts some 1 million people from across the globe and 40,000 classic, custom and collector vehicles of all kinds – from hot rods to muscle cars and everything in-between.The cruise route itself covers a 16-mile loop along Woodward Avenue just north of Detroit through multiple suburbs starting in Ferndale, heading 8 miles up to Pontiac and returning 8 miles back. For Mustang fans, the big attraction is Ford’s Mustang Alley along Nine Mile Road in Ferndale, where hundreds of Mustangs and Ford performance vehicles are on display. Podcast co-hosts John Clor and Mike Rey walked the alley in a recent episode to introduce you to some of the people who you’ll meet there and to hear their Mustang stories. But many of you have asked for a closer look at the cars both in Mustang Alley and out cruising along Woodward, so in this episode John and Mike offer a glimpse at some of the Mustangs you may have missed seeing at this year’s Woodward Dream Cruise. It’s all thanks to the photos we received from Bill Cook, a Ford retiree and superfan whose Mustang and Ford car show event photojournalism helped make John’s Enthusiast Section on FordPerformnance.com so immensely popular before Ford Racing’s pivot to motorsports only website content. Take a look at the some of these cool Mustangs Cook spotted both in the alley and actively rolling along Woodward on cruise day.

Club Summit Plan Blows Up! -- You Wanted Bigger & Better, So New Date is May 1, 2027
Show notes
Well, it seems lots of Mustang people liked our recent announcement that the Mustang Owner’s Podcast was planning to sponsor the official re-launch of the International Council of Mustang Clubs (ICMC) with a Club Summit Meeting at the Halderman Museum this fall. So many, in fact, that invite requests and event expansion ideas quickly filled our inboxes! Some of that interest came from attendees at Mike’s annual Midwest club seminars held just outside of Frankenmuth, Michigan each winter. But with the additional interest from so many other clubs registered in the ICMC, we now HAVE TO RESCHEDULE the event to accommodate everyone and their ideas.
As in previous years, this important annual seminar will be a highly productive gathering of Mustang and Ford club leaders from across the globe to share information, challenges and best practices that can help make our efforts in the hobby more successful. With Ford Racing taking John’s Club Connect program ‘in-house” for a revamp, this is the perfect time for the ICMC and the Mustang Owner’s Podcast to take the lead in mapping the future of the Mustang club experience.
In this episode, Mike and John explain the reasons for moving the summit meeting from this October to next May, and some of the challenges involved to expand this event to make it even bigger and better!
All interested parties are invited to attend this unique Mustang seminar, with a Show & Shine, museum tour, informative presentations and special guests. You can join us for this one-of-a-kind gathering in the Club Room of the Halderman Mustang Museum in Tipp City, Ohio (located about 15 minutes off I-75 just north of Dayton), on Saturday, May 1, 2027. Can’t be there in person? You can also participate online via ZOOM!
Whether you plan to join us in person via ZOOM, we simply ask that you email your request with the name of your organization and the name, email and cell number of your participating representative, and if you plan to attend IN-PERSON or via ZOOM. Send your response to ICMC President Mike Rey @ aces16@aol.com. Those who RSVP with plans to attend via ZOOM will be sent the ZOOM link by National Mustang Day, April 17, 2027, so that you can log in at 12:00 Noon Eastern Time on Saturday, May 1.
In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Mustang Owner’s Podcast (on YouTube or Spotify) for updates on the inaugural ICMC Summit at the Halderman Museum set for Saturday, May 1, 2027. For more info, see http://www.mustangcouncil.com or check out Mike Rey’s Facebook page or email him at Aces16@aol.com.

Team Shelby Great Lakes Helps ‘Mustangs At The Island’ Show Shrug Off Showers
Show notes
What could be better than a road trip for a late-September getaway weekend surrounded by hundreds of Mustangs from across the Midwest in a picturesque setting along the Mississippi River at the Treasure Island Resort and Casino in Welch, Minnesota? Well, if you add in 35-plus hours of pure pony-car fun activities leading up to a spectacular Saturday All-Mustang Car Show, the answer would be that it can’t be beat – unless you could keep some pesky rain showers out of the weather forecast.
That’s precisely what Podcast Co-Host John Clor experienced recently by attending the Mustangs At The Island Show that featured a poker run, cruises, entertainment and dinners, plus a Mustang show with everything from classics to late-models and just about everything in-between, as well as vendors, food trucks, raffles, charity fundraisers and music. John set up a Team Mustang Meet & Greet display with a free Mustang poster giveaway at the show. He shared a booth with his longtime SVT friend Tim Stieve, who was there representing Team Shelby Great Lakes (which had a group of members participating in the event). John also served as the event’s Keynote Speaker offering a fun-filled “61 Years of Mustang” presentation and a free keepsake at the Sunday brunch. While the on-and-off morning showers did keep the car count down a bit, by the time the clouds cleared, the crowd began to grow for a grand show with some interesting Mustang owner stories and lots of really nice cars. In this episode, John shares some of his photos from the event, and reveals that Team Shelby Great Lakes plans to team up with the host Lake Country Mustang Club to put on next year’s Mustangs At The Island show August 27-29, 2027.👍Please Like this video and Leave a Comment 🔔 Subscribe to the Mustang Owner’s Podcast 📢 Share with fellow Mustang enthusiasts. Dark Horse SC Makes Surprise Appearance at North Coast Mustang Club of Ohio Show
Show notes
On any given weekend in or near major metro areas all across the country every summer, you can find local Mustang clubs hosting their big annual car show. Mustang fans need to know that you don’t have to be a club member to attend, so if you see a gathering of Mustangs in your area, you’re encouraged to stop and check out the show.
Podcast hosts John Clor and Mike Rey have been personally involved in this part of the hobby for decades – with John serving a variety of on-site Meet & Greet functions for Ford, and Mike actually hosting shows when he was president of the Mustang Owners Club of South Eastern Michigan. They still attend many of these regional shows yearly.
When John was invited to set up his much-traveled 10x10 Mustang Meet & Greet display at the North Coast Mustang & Ford Club of Ohio’s annual show, he loaded up his Ford Club Connect Transit van with posters and headed to the Lorian County Community College in Elyria to mingle with hundreds of Mustangs and fans at the club’s 20th Annual All-Ford & Mustang Show on a sunny Sunday in late July. At the last minute, Ford’s Special Vehicle Registry team asked to join in, and the club accommodated with double the display space. And a bit more to make room for a special display car that SVR drove there – a prototype Dark Horse SC right out of the Ford Racing garage, as it was before any of the SC’s had arrived in dealer showrooms. In this episode, John tells the story of how the Dark Horse SC wound up at the show and shares photos that he took of some of his favorite Mustangs he saw on display there. Beyond the North Coast Mustang & Ford Club of Ohio providing all the bells and whistles of a great club show, it all just goes to show why attending your regional Mustang Club show is always a good idea: You never know what you’ll see there!

New Ford Experience Center Venue Puts Fresh Spin on the 4th Motor City FoxFest
Show notes
With the explosive growth in the fan following for 3rd generation Mustangs over recent years, it’s no surprise mega Fox Body Mustang shows would become must-see events. So, in the wake of the annual success of Foxtoberfest (check out our Podcast from the 2024 gathering at the Charlotte Motor Speedway), a group of Fox enthusiasts from the Detroit area decided to put together a Motor City version of a FoxFest and hold the show at the recently decommissioned Ford World Headquarters. It was patterned after the popular Mustang Memories shows hosted by the Mustang Owner’s Club of SouthEastern Michigan on the back lot of Ford’s famed “Glass House” HQ.But after 3 years there, the Motor City FoxFest was forced to find a new venue with the closure of that property due to the Ford World Headquarters move to an ultra-modern massive new facility on the automaker’s Dearborn engineering campus. While the new Ford HQ does not have a wide-open paved area to host a big car show, the Ford Experience Center (internally dubbed the FXC) located just across the street does. So event organizers negotiated with Ford to host its 4th annual Motor City FoxFest on the three large parking lot next to the FXC and adjacent to the Henry Ford Museum’s expansive Greenfield Village grounds and parking area.
John and Mike visited this year’s FoxFest to check out the new venue and all the great Fox Body rides and SN95 Mustangs that were on display across the three show areas. Enjoy this episode’s visual tour as the boys talk you through the great photography by Ford Marketing retiree Bill Cook, a longtime contributor to John’s FordPerformance.com “Enthusiasts” section. Our thanks to Bill for these exclusive Motor City FoxFest photos.

What’s the Vibe in Ford’s Mustang Alley? Walk Along with Us to Get the Real Story
Show notes
Any true Mustang fan knows about Ford’s long-running “Mustang Alley” gathering every year during Detroit’s massive Woodward Dream Cruise. Technically on a street and not in an actual alley, Mustang Alley stretches a few blocks down East Nine Mile Road where it intersects Woodward Avenue at the very spot the Dream Cruise begins in the suburb of Ferndale, Michigan. While it’s sweet to see 700-900 Mustangs angle-parked on both sides of the “alley,” what’s even sweeter is to experience the Mustang-loving vibe that this popular event gives off each and every year. It doesn’t just come from the cars – but from the owners and fans you’ll find there from all corners of the globe. As John and Mike always say, “Everyone has a Mustang Story,” so for this episode, walk along Mustang Alley 2026 with them as they get you the stories behind some of the Ford insiders, known players in the hobby and dedicated owners that they found there on that warm August day. Sit back and follow along to see if you recognize some of the people and the cars that made Mustang Alley 2026 so much fun!

Sharon Hansen Has Mustang Epiphany After Visiting the Halderman Museum
Show notes
Have you ever done anything in the Mustang enthusiast community that turned out to be a transformational experience? You might be surprised to know that through the stories that many of you have shared with us, it happens more often than you might think. That’s why when Gale Halderman’s daughter, Karen, showed us a thank-you note she received from Sharon Hansen after a visit to the Halderman Mustang Museum with her husband and her son, we knew you’d want to know about it.
John and Mike had enjoyed a wonderful friendship with the late Mustang designer and have been frequent visitors to the Halderman Barn Museum, managed by Karen and her own daughter, Lauren. There’s no doubt the place has special vibe all its own, and the note from Sharon to Karen explains it in a way that helps bring Mustang’s history to life, both through Gale’s “Mustang By Design” book that she bought that day – and though the kindness that Karen offered the touring family on the day they stopped by.
This episode shares the thank-you note and explains how the museum tour provided Sharon an epiphany of sorts about the Mustang, its design history and Mustang people like the Haldermans who power Mustang fandom and can make impactful connections with people. Our thanks to Sharon Hansen for allowing us this glimpse at her Mustang story that she never expected to be made public. If being at a Mustang event or place has left a big impression on you, email us at jclor@CarsInContext.com and let’s explore how your experience could make for an interesting episode on our podcast!

Mustang Memories Show Meet & Greet Nets Walk-Up Stories, Celebrity Guests
Show notes
The Mustang Owner’s Podcast took its Meet & Greet tent on the road again this year – this time to the annual Mustang Memories & All-Ford Show hosted by the Mustang Owners Club of SouthEastern Michigan (MOCSEM). Normally held behind Ford’s former HQ known as the “Glass House,” the Memories show was moved to the nearby AAA Headquarters after Ford had moved into its new World Headquarters on its Dearborn design and engineering campus, and slated the Glass House for demolition.Beyond the venue, the date for Memories 2026 was also moved to the Sunday before Detroit’s famed Woodward Dream Cruise instead of the Sunday after. Regardless of the changes, Mustang Memories drew several hundred cars and even more attendees to share a Sunday of sunshine, Mustangs and classic Ford camaraderie.
John had to work Ford’s Meet & Greet tent for Team Mustang, while Mike set up the Mustang Owner’s Podcast tent right alongside to meet with fans, do live recordings of their Mustang stories and even welcome some Mustang celebrities – including Kevin Marti of “Marti Report” fame, SN95 Chief Designer Bud Magaldi, plus Mustang II Designer Buck Mook and SN95 Interior Designer Emeline King, just to name a few. We’ll take a closer look at the cars on display at MOCSEM’s Mustang Memories 2026 in an upcoming episode, but this time around we wanted to give you an idea of the Mustang vibes at this nationally known event, and see what is was like to hang out with the podcast team for a day of Mustang show fun in Ford’s own back yard.

After a recent post by Ford Motor Company that one of the World’s Fair Mustangs was being inducted into the prestigious National Historic Vehicle Register, our resident pony car expert – famed Mustang journalist / author Jim Smart – reached out to say there was a notable omission in the story. And that was that very little would be known about these rare cars without the detective work done by one very dedicated owner. You can check out the Ford story here: Only a Handful of Cars Have Ever Received This Honor. This 1965 Mustang Just Joined Them.
So, in this “Get Smart” episode, John and Mike got in touch with Jim get his insight on the so-called “World’s Fair Mustangs” and exactly who had uncovered all the background info on these special cars. Saga of Shirlee McArthur’s ’00 Cobra R: When Is It ‘Right’ to Sell Your Mustang?
Show notes
One of the most difficult decisions any Mustang owner will ever make is deciding if and when it’s the right time to sell one of their beloved pony cars. Sometimes it’s a financial decision, other times it’s driven by a need to thin the heard. Or maybe it’s just time for change. Regardless, of the reason, selling more often than not becomes a source of regret. We’ve all heard, “I should have never sold my (fill-in-the-blank) Mustang!”
In this episode John and Mike interview Shirlee McArthur, whose award-winning (and ultra-rare) 2000 SVT Mustang Cobra R has been wowing car-show audiences all over the country for years now. John has seen it in person and because of its pedigree, believed Shirlee would NEVER sell this car – until he‘d heard she’d actually put it up for sale! Hear why this car is so special, why Shirlee considered selling it – and join her in trying to help the guys determine how you can know when it’s the right time to sell your Mustang.

Mailbag July 2026: An AWD S650? ‘Boring’ Fords? / Tech Episodes?
Show notes
With June 2026 Mailbag content included in our inaugural “Roundup” episode, John and Mike field some thought-provoking questions and comments in this July 2026 Mailbag episode – especially one involving an All Wheel Drive variant of the S650. Of course, few really know if such an initiative exists but we offer a scenario why it might make sense if a four-door Mustang is really being considered – and how that might even cover the rumors about a Hybrid. A frequent commentor weighs in on Ford’s “No More Boring Cars” mantra – and asks, are Fords really boring or is it the product choices and marketing? Plus, we reveal what determines our on-site car show episode selections vs. studio podcasts, and even discuss if perhaps adding a few Tech Session episodes – perhaps including the expertise of our friend Jim Smart, should be added to our mix.
You’re encouraged to get mentioned in the next Mustang Owner’s Podcast Mailbag episode by posting in the Comments section of each and every YouTube podcast or by sending us and email with “Podcast” in the subject line to jclor@CarsInContext.com

Shelbys Storm Mid-Michigan Club’s Stampede at Birch Run Speedway
Show notes
In this episode, John and Mike visit one of their favorite annual Mustang club shows, the Great Lakes Stampede All-Ford & Mustang Car Show, hosted by the Mustang Club of Mid Michigan (MCMM). This event marked the public debut of the Mustang Owner’s Podcast 10x10 Meet & Greet tent display, where the boys featured not one, but TWO celebrity guests – Bud Magaldi, chief designer and styling design manager of the Fourth Generation (SN95) 1994 Mustang, and Emeline King, the interior designer of that same Fourth Generation (SN95) 1994 Mustang. Bud and Emeline chatted with attendees and signed autographs while Emeline also offered a book-signing for her inspirational softcover autobiography, “What Do You Mean A Black Girl Can't Design Cars? Emeline King, She Did It! (still available on Amazon).
This year the MCMM moved its show venue to the Birch Run Speedway after several years at the nearby Outlet Mall. Clouds, wind and eventual rain may have affected the turnout a bit, but John and Mike were amazed by how many different variants of Shelby Mustangs braved the elements for the Stampede, as well as how many early gens were there, along with a multitude of special colors in attendance – especially green! The great photography you see here came from Ford retiree and super-enthusiast Bill Cook.

Is it Time for a ‘Mustang III’? That & MORE in Our NEW ‘Roundup’
Show notes
We asked, you responded, and we listened. So here it is – an ALL-NEW format for our Mustang Owner’s Podcast that incorporates several different aspects of the Mustang hobby all in a single, fast-paced episode that we call the “Mustang Roundup.” Why did we try this? Because we’d received so many emails about how we can keep growing the Mustang Owner’s Podcast that we thought it’s time to test out some format enhancements.
You’ll recall that John spent a whole episode seeking your input here:It’s Time for Some Mods to Our Podcast –And Your Comments Will Fuel What We Do! Your responses helped us put this first effort together, incorporating many of the “Mods” you suggested in the Comments section and emailed to jclor@carsincontext.com.
We’d love to hear what you think.
People who’ve known John for many years will see similarities between this Mustang Owner’s Podcast “Roundup” trial episode and John’s popular cable access TV Show, which moved to YouTube years ago as CarsInContextTV - YouTube (Go ahead and check it out for yourself!). He figured, what worked then may still work now! But we’ll let you be the judge. So get set for a new podcast experience by watching til the end:

You’re not gonna believe the story about how Ryan Girardot snagged his 2024 S650 Mustang GT on the same day he was supposed to be picking up a new Escape for his wife. (Yes, she’s still with him. Blame it on Mustang love that dates back to 1984.)
Mustang Mailbag:
John: An idea about sharing Mustang owners stories prompts a suggestion from one of the podcast’s biggest fans.
Mike: Watching the podcast with Chuck Cantwell Shelby GT350 Legend Chuck Cantwell Shares Inside Stories You Gotta Hear! brings a call for a GT350 reunion to bring together both the people and the cars that made this nameplate so iconic.
We hope you enjoyed this new Roundup Episode format – leave us a comment if you want to see more of these – maybe once a month? – or what else we’ll need to do to make the podcast more fun and interesting to you. Gathering at the Barn
Show notes
Here’s another fun Mustang Owner’s Podcast episode from the Halderman Mustang Museum in Tipp City, Ohio, just north of Dayton off I-75. This time John and Mike take you on a tour of the show field from the “Gathering At The Barn” all-Ford car show, an annual museum fundraiser event hosted by the Mustang Club of Ohio, and sponsored by Dave Arbogast Ford of nearby Troy, Ohio. Yes, this show had showcased the custom "Mach-X" award-winning show car – a vintage-looking 1969 Mustang Mach 1-inspired modern classic built off a 2012 Mustang GT California Special chassis by Zero-Given Garage. That’s why the boys featured the Mach-X in its own episode of the Podcast, including an exclusive test drive and in-person interview with Aaron Duncan of Duncan Brothers Customs fame, now the creative master behind Zero Given Garage. Go back to the channel and check it out! This year’s “Gathering” also featured special presentations (and an autograph session) by not one, but two famed Mustang designers – Bud Magaldi, Design Chief of the Fourth-Generation 1994 SN95 Mustang, and Bob Aikins, Chief Stylist for the Mustang SVO and the 1979 Mustang Indy Pace Car. What’s more, two members of the Mustang Club of Ohio – Dave and Pam Rose – were inducted into the Halderman Museum Mustang Club Member Hall of Fame in a ceremony emceed by John Clor himself. All that – along with this idyllic venue, some superb weather, an enjoyable food truck, mellow DJ, lots of celebrity-chosen awards and lots of really great cars on display – make this show one worth experiencing. Take a walk with John and Mike to witness some of these fine rides!

The Mustang Owner’s Podcast Takes Center Stage at Carlisle Ford Nationals!
Show notes
The Mustang Owner’s Podcast had the honor of kicking off Show Day Saturday at this year’s Carlisle Ford Nationals, recording a special podcast episode in front of the Fairgrounds Stage right after the 9 a.m. playing of the National Anthem. And a special thanks goes to Carlisle Ford Nationals Show Manager Ken Appell (who promoted the live recording session and put it on top of Saturday’s action-packed show program), and Mustang Unleashed Influencer and noted Ford Performance photographer Joe Deladvitch (who managed all the episode’s recording duties). Of course, Carlisle hosts the world’s largest all-Ford show each June, featuring nearly every Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and even Fords from all over the world on the nearly 3,500-vehicle show field for a three-day extravaganza in central Pennsylvania of all things related to the Blue Oval. As usual, all sorts of other special events and attractions were planned this year – with 3,538 total entries, the second largest in the show’s history, beyond seeing all the hottest new Ford products – even the Mustang GTD – and thousands of classic and collectible Fords on display. Those included a 60th Anniversary Bronco Showcase celebrating the past, present, and future of the iconic SUV; a 50th Anniversary celebration of the Starsky & Hutch Torino, featuring three screen-used vehicles, nearly two dozen additional examples on the Showfield, and one of the stars of the television series, Antonio Fargas, who portrayed Huggy Bear. There were also displays commemorating the legacies of Roush, the Ford Taurus, and the Olympic Sprint special editions as well as all the other regular attractions such as the Vehicle Parades, Select Displays, Car Corral, Manufacturers Midway, the massive Flea Market and Vendors area, great food, the Women’s Oasis and even Kids Activities. And don’t forget the Club Challenge, the Coolest Club Hangout Award and the Club Mixer info-session hosted by Team Mustang’s John Clor with help from podcast partner Mike Rey – plus the Autocross, Burnout & Exhaust contests, Celebrity Choice Awards, the annual Downtown Carlisle Parade, Park & Party and of course Sunday’s big Carlisle Awards Presentations. Clearly, if there’s only one big Ford show you need to attend each year, the Carlisle Ford Nationals is it. John and Mike NEVER miss this show – and neither should you!
