You Can See Everything
Season 7, Episode 14
Show notes
“Are you watching closely?” Yes, this is a quote from The Prestige, which just announced a surprise theatrical release in IMAX and 70mm formats in January 2027 to celebrate its 20th anniversary. And yes, the release date is suspiciously soon after Oscar nominations are announced. But what would be even more exciting is if You Can See Everything were to be one of those nominees announced in competition for one or more Academy Awards next year alongside Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey.
This eye-opening documentary by Lance Oppenheimer and Nathan Fielder is more than just a portrait of Theranos's Elizabeth Holmes before she went to prison in 2023. Sophia and Nick dive deep into the film’s many layers after being riveted for nearly three hours on this journey of identity, relationships, truth, and human psychology. If you haven’t seen the film yet, run to your local theater quickly and experience this groundbreaking film with a large audience. If you’d like to avoid SPOILERS, listen to this episode up to (47:03) then return when you’re ready to discuss the barrels of tea being spilt.
