Ra Uru Hu, a Canadian and man Julian was one bad trip away from becoming, developed the astrology-adjacent Human Design self-help system while living in Ibiza, Spain in 1987. Human Design, Ra claims, was transmitted to him by a mysterious voice and the system attempts to take a more scientific approach to astrology saying subatomic particles are responsible for who a person truly is. Ra passed away in 2011 but the idea is alive and well, catching the attention, unsurprisingly, of Gwyneth Paltrow.

Noah’s Ark has been discovered. Again. This time, the claim involves underground scans, a boat-shaped formation in Turkey, and a publicity campaign promising evidence that could vindicate Genesis.

Travis, Jake, and Julian investigate Andrew Jones and Noah’s Ark Scans, the latest effort to establish the Durupınar formation near Mount Ararat as the remains of the biblical vessel. Jones’s fascination began with the extraordinary claims of amateur archaeologist Ron Wyatt, who also claimed to discover the Ark of the Covenant, Goliath’s sword, and the dried blood of Jesus. Today, Andrew Jones is trying to find the Ark with modern surveying equipment and help spreading the word from Lauren Witzke and Edward Szall.

Along the way, we examine the flexible measurements used to make the formation fit the description of the Ark in the Book of Genesis, why this crew is so invested in finding physical proof of the Ark, and whether the Bible even says that the final resting place of the Ark is Mount Ararat.

Charles Stuart, aka “Snake the Bigfoot Hunter” claims he found a dead Bigfoot body in the Adirondacks, and he has a supposed DNA report from a Cornell University lab to prove it. Cornell, however, says it never performed the test. Now there’s a threatened $10 million lawsuit and a furious Bigfoot hunter establishment over an alleged corpse named Dack that was on display at the New York State Fair.

We investigate the alleged evidence, which involves reading surprisingly vulgar passages from Snake’s Bigfoot Bible. Along the way, we check the reaction of rival Bigfoot research organizations and get too many details about a sexual escapade involving SpaghettiOs that supposedly unlocked new mysteries about the place of humans in the tree of life. But after we learn that “Snake’s” name isn’t really “Charles Stuart,” we’re left wondering whether exposing an elaborate hoax just earns us a supporting role in a carefully-curated performance.

Today the QAA crew is taking a small rest day from their melted algorithms but have no fear dear listener, we won't leave you hanging. Last week Jack and Julian began releasing their new Cursed Media mini series and today, in lieu of a usual main episode, we would like to share the first episode of what they have been cooking up. Raising Hell.

In 1988, federal regulators closed Omaha’s Franklin Community Federal Credit Union after discovering that nearly $40 million had disappeared. The institution’s manager, Lawrence E. “Larry” King Jr., was a charismatic civic leader and political operator who had cultivated relationships far beyond Nebraska. King’s public image, and the astonishing scale of the missing money, made the collapse a major scandal. But as investigators began following the financial trail, an even more disturbing story took shape.

In Chapter One of Raising Hell, “Once Upon a Time in Omaha,” Jack LaRoche and Julian Feeld return to the origins of the Franklin story: not the lurid mythology that later grew around it, but the vulnerable children, troubled households, foster-care placements, and child-welfare institutions from which the first allegations emerged. The episode examines the experiences of young people who passed through a system that was supposed to protect them, including Boys Town and Nebraska’s foster-care network, and who repeatedly encountered adults unwilling or unable to recognize what was happening around them.

At the center of this chapter is Eulice Washington. Her disclosures helped expose documented abuse inside an Omaha household and opened a path toward far more explosive allegations involving Larry King and other influential people. What began as an investigation into the treatment of children would soon collide with the Franklin credit-union case, drawing in social workers, journalists, law-enforcement agencies, politicians, private investigators, and witnesses whose accounts would be alternately ignored, sensationalized, challenged, and transformed.
