English for Women - Covering periods, pregnancy, and Peri-menopause
Episode 61
Show notes
Learn real English for women’s health: how to talk about your period, pregnancy, and perimenopause in natural, everyday English. 🌸
In this ladies-only episode, I teach the words, slang, and idioms native speakers really use, so you can talk to a friend, explain how you’re feeling, or speak with a doctor in English. These are topics most textbooks skip, but we all need them in real life!
You’ll learn:
✅ Periods: how to casually say you’re on your period, the four phases of your cycle, and common period products
✅ Pregnancy: fun idioms like “a bun in the oven,” what “showing” means, and vocabulary for labor and giving birth
✅ Perimenopause: what it means, plus real words for symptoms like hot flashes and irregular cyclesWhich word or idiom was new to you? Let me know!
