She Went to Italy & Everyone at Home Fell Apart | Broken Bones, Sick Kids & Family Chaos
Season 3, Episode 42
Show notes
In this episode of Sheena Interrupted, Sheena, TRID and Lauren unpack everything that went wrong while Sheena was traveling through Florence and Norcia: a pickleball injury that ended at the hospital, Jae getting sick at school, Zara taking on the driveway, a standby-flight nightmare and TRID attempting to keep the entire house upright.
Then the conversation travels from truffle hunting and Michelin-star dining in Italy to flying with young children, houseguests versus hotels, South Asian hospitality and the open-door homes that can turn friends into family.
If you’ve ever returned from vacation to absolute chaos (or quietly wondered whether staying with family is worth surrendering the hotel room) this episode is for you.
What would you choose: a hotel room and complete peace, or a crowded house where the best stories happen?
Subscribe to Sheena Interrupted for more unfiltered conversations, relationship stories, travel disasters and the wonderfully unpredictable chaos of everyday life.

Strict Parents, Double Standards & What Women Wish Men Knew
Season 3, Episode 41
Show notes
How strict is too strict when you’re raising teenagers? And why do the rules change for boys and girls?
This week on Sheena Interrupted, Sheena, TRID and Lauren unpack parenting teenagers, gender double standards and the complicated business of letting your kids grow up. Sheena wants boundaries. TRID wants independence. Before you decide who’s the strict parent, hear what happens when someone breaks a rule.
From screen time and sleepovers to dating and body image, they discuss which expectations protect kids and which ones might be passing down their parents’ insecurities.
Then, the conversation turns to women’s safety. Lauren shares a frightening experience of being followed while shopping, and TRID explains the everyday choices he makes to help women feel safer walking home. They talk trusting your gut, teaching boys to be aware of their impact and why being polite can wait when something feels wrong.
Also discussed: changing beauty standards, sharing responsibilities in a relationship and TRID’s entirely unsolicited pitch for back Botox.
What’s one rule your parents had that you’d keep, and one you’d retire? Tell us in the comments.

Your Secrets Are Worse Than We Thought... | Confessions Part 2
Season 3, Episode 40
Show notes
What happens in Cabo apparently ends up on our podcast.
Sheena, TRID, and Lauren are back for Part 2 of reading your anonymous drama, and some of these weddings should have been canceled considerably earlier. There’s a bride who ditches her bachelorette party to cheat on her fiancé, a groom who disappears on his wedding day, and a secret relationship that leaves two women blindsided. Naturally, we have very different opinions about what should happen next.
Then there’s a year-long crush confessed to the wrong twin and a supposedly haunted stove that sends us into a debate about ghosts, TikTok psychics, and whether your mother can still criticize your parenting from the afterlife. TRID’s solution to that last one? Make a fajita.
Would you tell the fiancé what happened at the bachelorette party…or stay out of it? Tell us where you stand in the comments. And send your own stories to sheenainterrupted@gmail.com. Please include details. Leaving room for interpretation is a dangerous game around here

Cheating, Family Secrets & Very Bad Decisions | Reading Your Wildest Confessions
Season 3, Episode 39
Show notes
We asked you to share your drama, and apparently we should have asked you to include the rest of the story.
This week on Sheena Interrupted, Sheena, TRID, and Lauren read your anonymous submissions, including an affair between in-laws, a surprise new wife and baby brother, and someone who says they were shot twice over a crayon. Yes, a crayon.
TRID wants every detail. Sheena isn’t sure she wants to hear them. And with some of the wildest stories arriving in a single sentence, we’re left with a lot to discuss and very little to go on. We debate how soon is too soon to remarry, try to untangle who’s related to whom, and come up with a few explanations of our own.
But first, TRID has some things to say about Sheena’s sweater. Apparently, other people’s drama can wait.
Which story do you need an update on? Tell us in the comments, and subscribe to SHEENA INTERRUPTED for more. And if you’re sending us a story, please include enough detail to stop TRID from writing the rest himself.

“I Can’t Swallow It” | Trying the Internet’s Weirdest Food Combos
Season 3, Episode 38
Show notes
The internet says an apple dipped in soy sauce tastes like caramel. Lauren would like a word.
This week on Sheena Interrupted, Sheena, TRID and Lauren test weird food combinations that are supposed to taste like completely different foods. Can lemon and cinnamon really taste like Coca-Cola? Does banana and avocado pass for ice cream? Some combinations are surprisingly convincing. Others require a level of imagination we simply don’t have.
TRID suspects we’ve fallen for a prank, but that doesn’t stop him from finishing the food he’s actively criticizing. Lauren, meanwhile, has no problem stopping. There’s a difference between being willing to try something and being able to swallow it.
Plus, a debate over what actually qualifies as pizza and a disagreement about split pea soup that gets considerably more heated than the soup itself.
What’s a weird food combination you swear by?

“We’re Gonna Get Canceled” | Hot Takes, Conspiracies & Who’d Survive Prison
Season 3, Episode 37
Show notes
This week on SHEENA INTERRUPTED, everyone has a hot take. Whether they can defend it is another story.
Sheena, TRID, and Lauren debate whether a manicure is worth $73, whether pineapple on pizza still qualifies as controversial, and who would actually survive prison. Along the way, mattress stores come under suspicion, Lauren has questions about childhood back braces, and some very questionable theories are delivered with the confidence of peer-reviewed research.
Plus, Sheena and Lauren share the behind-the-scenes scramble leading up to Sheena’s surprise performance at a Fenway Park proposal. Then, after spending most of the episode giving each other a hard time, they attempt something slightly less familiar: compliments. What starts as a round of saying nice things turns unexpectedly emotional. Turns out the compliments hit harder than the insults.
What’s a hot take you’ll defend no matter what?

Quit the Job, Dump the Guy, Cancel the Friend | Asinine Advice
Season 3, Episode 36
Show notes
Asinine Advice is BACK and “helpful” is open to interpretation.
This week, Sheena, TRID and Lauren (producer) tackle relationship advice, career changes, and friendship dilemmas with very different approaches. Is breaking up over text ever okay? Should you quit your job without another one lined up? And when a friend keeps canceling plans, should you give them grace or find a better friend?
Sheena is thinking through the consequences. TRID is not particularly concerned. From getting over heartbreak and debating ghosting to parenting frustrations and questionable business ideas, everyday problems become anything but straightforward. Plus, Lauren reveals where she found the questions, raising a new one: have their answers gotten any better? Whose advice would you actually take?
Tell us in the comments, and subscribe to Sheena Interrupted for more candid conversations and questionable recommendations.

The Rules of Swearing & a LOT of Oversharing
Season 3, Episode 35
Show notes
Swearing has rules. Oversharing, apparently, does not. In this episode of Sheena Interrupted, Sheena, TRID, and producer Lauren compare their very different ideas about what’s appropriate, from swearing around your parents to what you should never say to your partner.
Naturally, a conversation about manners turns into sharing everyone’s business. We’re talking awkward TV moments with family, falling asleep mid-argument, and why sharing a shower sounds better in theory. Plus, TRID makes the case that the best insults don’t need a single swear word.
We said we’d keep it light. We never said we’d keep it private. Follow the podcast for more!

Bathroom Boundaries & TRID’s Questionable Reality Show
Season 3, Episode 34
Show notes
What if Love Is Blind contestants who don’t find love get sent straight to Naked and Afraid? TRID has a pitch. Someone should probably stop him.
In this episode of Sheena Interrupted, TRID and Lauren (producer) debate bathroom boundaries, how comfortable is too comfortable with your partner, and hotel rooms that take “no privacy” a little too literally. Plus, childhood bullies, Lauren’s unibrow era, and increasingly questionable reality show ideas.
Lauren and TRID keep it real, keep it weird, and somehow end up with a surprisingly memorable episode full of absurd honesty and off-the-cuff comedy.

Show notes
SHEENA IS BACK (for now). In this episode of Sheena Interrupted, we discuss all of the relationship scenarios guaranteed to divide the group chat.
Would you be mad if your partner posted a photo where they looked great and you looked terrible? Sheena shares her honest opinions on trust, jealousy, social media boundaries, communication, marriage, and what actually crosses the line. She and Lauren compare modern dating with long-term partnership, talk about how security can grow over time, and decide which relationship offenses are harmless, irritating, or completely disrespectful.

Reading Your Wildest Comments & Blind-Tasting Spicy Chips | TRID SUMMER
Season 3, Episode 31
Show notes
This week on Sheena Interrupted, TRID and Lauren are reading your wildest comments…and the internet certainly has opinions.
They react to everything from over-the-top compliments and relationship questions to eyebrow criticism, an unsolicited ADHD theory, and one listener who was very unimpressed with TRID Summer.
Then TRID and Lauren blind-taste and rank a lineup of unusual and spicy chips, including Golden Sriracha Doritos, Pizza Pringles, Dill Pickle Lay’s, All Dressed chips, Takis Fuego, and Ghost Pepper plantains. Their reactions make absolutely no scientific sense: Lauren can handle Ghost Pepper but nearly gets taken out by a Dorito.
Plus, millennial snack nostalgia, a reality show for partying grandmas, and several business ideas no one should be trusted to pursue.

TRID Mailed His Poop & Lauren Watched WHAT With Her Parents?!
Season 3, Episode 30
Show notes
What do Moulin Rouge, a box of poop, and sleeping in socks have in common? Apparently... this episode.
This week on Sheena Interrupted, TRID and Lauren are left unsupervised...and nothing stays normal for long. They revisit the elaborate lie that convinced Lauren Moulin Rouge would be an adults-only nightmare while she sat directly between her parents. Then TRID explains why he mailed a box labeled “human specimen” through UPS before the two put their strangest everyday habits on trial in a game of Normal or Not: eating in bed, brushing your teeth in the shower, sleeping in socks, speeding up when someone walks behind you, and more.
It’s equal parts oversharing, accidental life advice, and exactly what happens when Sheena leaves TRID and the producer alone with microphones.

You Shave Your Toes?! | Things Women Are Insecure About That Men Never Notice
Season 3, Episode 29
Show notes
Apparently, women have been shaving their toes in silence…and TRID has only just discovered it.
What begins with Lauren admitting that body hair has been one of her deepest insecurities becomes a hilarious and unexpectedly honest conversation about PCOS, beauty standards, aging, motherhood, social media, friendships, and the pressure to look effortlessly “put together.”
Sheena, TRID, Lauren, and Jae unpack why we should never minimize someone else’s insecurity, how confidence changes as we get older, and the clearest difference between real confidence and arrogance: how you respond to feedback.
It’s chaotic, vulnerable, surprisingly wholesome, and a reminder that everyone has something, even when you’d never guess it from the outside.

A Man, A Microphone, And 8 Minutes Of Tangents | TRID SUMMER
Season 3, Episode 23
Show notes
Welcome back to TRID Summer!! This week on Sheena Interrupted, you're getting something a little different. What started as a quick call (with producer Lauren) to plan the podcast, somehow became the podcast. No script. No topic. No direction. Just eight minutes inside TRID's brain.
Along the way, there were new characters, unsolicited life advice, questionable business ventures, and enough tangents to fill an entire episode (literally just 8 minutes).
The best part?
TRID had absolutely no idea he was being recorded and that this was the only content we had for an episode.
So here it is.
Welcome to TRID Summer.
