  1. SinBin Postgame Periscope - New Jersey Devils - October 30th, 2026

    Show notes

Recap: The Golden Knights were looking to win back-to-back home games with a victory over New Jersey on Nevada Day. The Devils answered early into the game off a turnover in Vegas’ zone. Moments later, Mark Stone evened the score on the power play with his 9th goal of the season. Ninety seconds later Ivan Barbashev scored his 2nd goal of the season to give Vegas a 2-1 lead. The Devils tied the game less than a minute later. After 20 minutes, the game was locked at 2-2.

US Olympic hero Jack Hughes gave the Devils a 3-2 lead off a dazzling individual move past VGK defenders. Towards the end of the middle frame, the visitors followed their own rebound and took a 4-2 advantage into the second intermission.

Vegas had several chances on net but newly acquired goaltender Connor Hellebuyck kept the puck out of New Jersey’s net. With under three minutes left in the contest, the Devils scored an empty-net goal to seal the game.

The Golden Knights’ record drops to 9-5-1, falling to the Devils 5-2 at T-Mobile Arena. Next up, Vegas will travel east for a four-game road trip beginning on Monday. Puck drop against the Boston Bruins is scheduled for 4 PM. (Recap by Jason)

Analysis: The Devils have a habit of making teams look bad, and now with Connor Hellebuyck in the net, they can do it even more easily. That’s exactly what happened in this Nevada Day game. VGK had a nice stretch in the 1st period in which they scored a couple of goals, but from there it was not pretty. New Jersey’s shot suppression machine worked incredibly well, and then a number of heroic plays by the Devils stars changed the game. VGK have lost 4 out of 5 and haven’t looked particularly good in the losses. (Analysis by Ken)

Have not loved VGK's push back in this 3rd period. If you didn't know the score, you'd think it was NJD pushing for the tying goal.

    — SinBin.vegas (@SinBinVegas) October 31, 2026

The number of times Devils have skated directly around (or through) VGK players in the defensive zone is unbelievable today. It just keeps happening.

    4-2 NJD

    — SinBin.vegas (@SinBinVegas) October 30, 2026

Marner hopped onto the ice on the change and McNabb saw him the whole way. Did so well to delay enough to hit the pass to him and Marner put a perfect pass to the front. Beautiful goal.

VGK have turned this period around in a hurry. 2-1

  3. SinBin Postgame Periscope - Columbus Blue Jackets - October 24th, 2026

    Show notes

Recap: The Golden Knights were looking to bounce back with a victory in Columbus. The home team took the opening lead of the game five minutes into the first period. Late in the frame Tomas Hertl answered back and tied the game with his 5th goal of the season. After 20 minutes, the game was locked in a 1-1 tie.

Neither team found the back of the net in the final two frames to preserve the 1-1 score after regulation.

Columbus earned an early power play in overtime and took advantage.

The Golden Knights record drops to 8-4-1, falling to the Blue Jackets 2-1 in OT.

Next up, Vegas will return home for a two-game set against two Eastern Conference opponents beginning on Tuesday night. Puck drop against the Ottawa Senators is scheduled for 7 PM. (Recap by Jason)

Analysis: VGK’s red-hot offense to start the season has cooled off in a hurry and it now has them on a three-game losing streak. Through two periods, the Blue Jackets probably had the better of the chances, in the 3rd though VGK picked it up and could have easily had one or two goals. Defensively, the effort was a lot better but against one of the worst offensive teams in the league. The lone bright spot was Trevor Connelly moving up to the top line and looking more than capable with Eichel and Stone. Will be interesting to see if that sticks moving forward. (Analysis by Ken)

  6. SinBin Postgame Periscope - Calgary Flames - October 15th, 2026

    Show notes

Recap: The Golden Knights were looking for their third straight victory as they hosted an out-of-conference game against the Pittsburgh Penguins. 66 seconds into the game, Rasmus Andersson gave Vegas an immediate 1-0 edge. Three minutes later, Noah Hanifin doubled their lead. With time winding down, the Golden Knights were awarded a power play, which a scorching hot Mark Stone took advantage of. Stone scored his 7th goal in ten games. After 20 minutes, Vegas held a 3-0 advantage.

Pittsburgh got on the scoreboard early in the middle frame, but Vegas answered right back. First, Trevor Connelly recorded his 4th goal of the season, and Shea Theodore scored his 2nd of the season. Vegas took a 5-1 lead into the 2nd intermission.

The Penguins got one in the 3rd but never made it a game. Brett Howden was awarded a goal when he was tripped with the Pittsburgh net empty.

The Golden Knights’ record improves to 8-2-0, defeating the Penguins 6-2 at T-Mobile Arena. Next up, Vegas will welcome the Tampa Bay Lightning for a matchup on Tuesday night. Puck drop against the Lightning is scheduled for 7:30 PM. (Recap by Jason)

Analysis: After a beatdown at the hands of the Avalanche last night in Denver, the Penguins came into Vegas as a bit of a wounded animal. VGK needed a quick start to bury them early, and that’s exactly what they did. Two games in a row they scored on the first shot of the game and basically coasted from there forward. The schedule keeps handing them inferior opponents and they keep beating the living hell out of them. (Analysis by Ken)

  7. SinBin Postgame Periscope - Calgary Flames - October 15th, 2026

    Show notes

Recap: The Golden Knights returned to Las Vegas for a three-game set beginning with the Calgary Flames. On Vegas’s first shot of the game, Brett Howden scored to make it 1-0. Nine minutes later, Jack Eichel stole the puck and promptly put it behind Calgary’s goalie on the penalty kill. After 20 minutes, the Golden Knights led 2-0.

Calgary scored a shorthanded goal midway through the second period, but Braeden Bowman got it back :48 later. Vegas took a 3-1 advantage into the 2nd intermission.

Captain Mark Stone recorded a natural hat trick in the 3rd period, VGK’s first hatty of the year.

The Golden Knights’ record improves to 7-2-0, defeating the Flames 6-2 at T-Mobile Arena. Next up, Vegas will host the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday night. Puck drop against the Penguins is scheduled for 7 PM. (Recap by Jason)

Analysis: This was a game where the goal was to simply take care of business. VGK did not exactly play a great game, or really anything close to it, but they didn’t have to, especially after taking the early 2-0 lead. It’s another fairly easy comfortable win against a pretty dreadful opponent. (Analysis by Ken)

  9. SinBin Postgame Periscope - Los Angeles Kings - October 10th, 2026

    Show notes

Recap: The Golden Knights celebrated the 2017-18 Western Conference champion team while hosting Pacific Division rival LA Kings. Vegas committed multiple penalties in the opening frame but killed them all off, including a 5-on-3 disadvantage. After 20 minutes, the Golden Knights and Kings were locked in a scoreless tie.

Quickly into the middle period, Mark Stone found Trevor Connely for the opening score of the game on the power play. Minutes later, the Kings tied the contest with a PP goal of their own. The period was full of matching penalties and scrums, keeping the game 1-1 going into the intermission.

Both teams traded chances but neither successfully found the back of the net. For the second straight game, Vegas needed overtime to decide the winner. VGK picked up a power play halfway through OT, which they swiftly took advantage of. Mitch Marner ended the game with his second goal of the season.

The Golden Knights’ record improves to 5-1-0, defeating the Kings 2-1 in OT. Next up, Vegas will travel to the State of Hockey for a battle against the Minnesota Wild on Monday. Puck drop against the Wild is scheduled for 5 PM. (Recap by Jason)

Analysis: A weird game in which it wasn’t a great defensive effort by either team and it didn’t take an overly heroic day by either goaltender, but it ended at 1-1 after 60. The balance of the game tilted in VGK’s favor a bit more than LA’s, so the right team probably came out on top but it wasn’t exactly the high-flying October-style hockey game we’ve been seeing recently. 11. SinBin Postgame Periscope - Anaheim Ducks - October 2nd, 2026

    Show notes

Recap: The Golden Knights were looking to start the season 2-0-0 with a victory over the visiting Anaheim Ducks. Both teams traded penalties in the opening 20 minutes but failed to take the opening lead. With eight seconds remaining in the period, the visiting team took a 1-0 edge into the intermission.

Anaheim’s offense continued to pressure Vegas’ zone and promptly scored two goals in the first 2:28 of the middle frame. The Ducks scored another goal moments later to hold a commanding 4-0 advantage through 40 minutes of action.

Vegas took it up a notch in the final 20 minutes. First defenseman Shea Theodore scored his first goal of the season to get the Golden Knights on the scoreboard. 90 seconds later, Tomas Hertl gave Vegas life, making it a 4-2 Anaheim lead. With under three minutes to go in the contest, Braeden Bowman cut Anaheim’s lead to one. However, Vegas couldn’t find the tying goal.

The Golden Knights record drops to 1-1-0, falling to the Ducks 4-3 at T-Mobile Arena. Next up, Vegas will travel to Vancouver for a Sunday evening matchup against the Canucks. Puck drop is scheduled for 6 PM. (Recap by Jason)

Analysis: The game was fairly even for the 1st period if not leaning a bit towards the Golden Knights. That changed in a hurry with a magical pass from Leo Carlsson to end the 1st and then a barrage to start the 2nd. VGK abandoned their simple chip-and-chase style and it bit them in the butt until the Ducks started backing off and trying to limit breaks. The Golden Knights looked so much better from that point on but four goals was too deep a hole. (Analysis by Ken)

  13. SinBin Postgame Periscope - Opening Night - Chicago Blackhawks - September 30th, 2026

    Show notes

Recap: The Golden Knights kicked off the franchise’s 10th NHL season with a home opener against the Chicago Blackhawks. Vegas warmed up their offense by drawing a couple of early power plays. Two-time Golden Knight Victor Olofsson opened the scoring to give Vegas the first lead of the season. A few shifts later, rookie Trevor Connelly scored his first career NHL goal to hand Vegas a 2-0 edge.

Chicago climbed within one deep into the middle period. Minutes later, Jack Eichel scored to give Vegas a 3-1 advantage. Eichel’s goal was his 700th career NHL point.

Quickly into the final frame, the Blackhawks cut into the Golden Knights’ lead. 39 seconds later, Noah Hanifin scored to make it a 4-2 VGK advantage. Vegas captain Mark Stone sealed the game with a late empty-net score.

The Golden Knights record improves to 1-0-0 by defeating the Blackhawks 5-2 on Opening Night. Next, Vegas will host Pacific Division rival Anaheim Ducks on Friday night. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 PM. (Recap by Jason)

Analysis: VGK came out flying to open the game, looking like the faster team by a mile in the 1st period. They were able to draw a few penalties and land a bunch of shots which led to a pair of goals. It wasn’t nearly as dominant in the next two periods but it certainly felt like any time Vegas needed to turn it up they were able to and Chicago had no answer. Much bigger test coming up on Friday.
