Soft Serve

John Arthur Hill of The John Hill Show and Andy Cohen Live joins Eliot Glazer and H. Alan Scott to talk about the Cottage Cheese Industrial Complex (Big Diary?). John also recalls injecting his peen with Trimex, which Eliot could’ve sworn was a brand of cat food. Also, why was Exit to Eden the center of H. Alan’s sexual awakening and is it only because of Rosie O’Donnell?

Melissa Peterman, star of Reba and Happy’s Place, joins Eliot Glazer and H. Alan Scott to talk about her decades-long friendship with the queen herself, Reba Mcentire. Naturally, Annie Potts, Kathie Lee Gifford and Vicki Lawrence also make their way into the chat before the co-hosts pivot toward favorite dips, from French onion to 7-layer to -- ugh -- hummus. Womp womp!

Sam Sanders, ‘the prince of public radio' (our words), joins H. Alan Scott and Eliot Glazer to share his existential dread about both A.I. and Gen-Z’s general taste in denim. Plus, is Carly Simon to Instagram what Cher is to Twitter? And don’t sleep on H. Alan playing an original voice mail left by THE Sheryl Lee Ralph.

Eliot Glazer and H. Alan Scott recently took HIV tests together to avoid paying the cover fee for a gay vaquero bar, but was it worth it? The guys also break down their go-to McDonald’s orders, but it only gets graphically sexual for one of them (it’s H. Alan). And is Robyn the Bruce Springsteen of gay millennial legacy acts? More importantly, is she the one artist who could actually convince H. Alan to go to a concert where he historically hates everybody?

Trixie Mattel is GEEKED to about her Halloween special The Trixie Mattel-A-Thon. But her freewheeling conversation with Eliot Glazer and H. Alan Scott covers all the classic podcast topics: high-end vacuums, exotic birds, Nikki Blonsky from Hairspray, the Trixie Motel, and whether or not Kelly Rowland is allowed to use the F slur (it’s a yes, duh).

Eliot and H. Alan invite you into the cultural potpourri that colors both their longtime friendship and exactly the type of stuff you’ll hear on Soft Serve: loose meat, The View, Christopher Meloni’s h*le, Luigi doppelgängers, generic vs. brand names, cupcakes, lesbians boat captains, air conditioning, The Rosie O’Donnell Show, loose meat, The Ritas (Moreno and Wilson), and GGDS (Golden Girls Derangement Syndrome). They also recap -- with clashing memories -- their trip to gay tourist trap Puerto Vallarta.

Eliot Glazer and H. Alan Scott know they’re serving, but softly (and with caution). In this new podcast, two longtime friends and moderately well known homosexuals get together week after week for deep dives on the topics that matter: YouTube rabbit holes, The Golden Girls, The View, Rita Wilson and whatever Rosie O'Donnell is up to. From millennial nostalgia to pop culture hot takes to sit-downs with friends like Trixie Mattel, Melissa Peterman and Sam Sanders stopping by to chat, Soft Serve delivers your weekly dose of slightly older queer energy that makes for the perfect midweek listen. (Because we’re not going out this weekend. Don't even ask.)
