Sold On Jesus
What happens when you get everything you thought you wanted… and realize it still isn’t enough?
If you’re a Realtor who loves Jesus but has wrestled with hustle, achievement, identity, comparison, or the pressure to constantly become more—Sold on Jesus is for you.
I’m Dani Hampton, a 13-year real estate agent who became a million-dollar GCI producer year after year. I built the brand. Built the name. Chased the recognition. From the outside, it looked like success.
Inside, I was empty.
I spent years manifesting, chasing the next level, and trying to become a better version of myself through my own strength—until God began pruning the very things I had built my identity around.
What felt like rock bottom became an invitation to rebuild.
Not my way. His way.
Sold on Jesus is about learning to sell in surrender and build a real estate business with Christ as the foundation.
You’ll hear honest conversations with Realtors who are questioning the industry's definition of success, walking through their own faith-and-business pivot, or have already discovered the peace that comes from trusting God's plan over the world's playbook.
We’re talking real estate, money, marketing, leadership, ambition, identity, failure, success, surrender and what following Jesus actually looks like in an industry obsessed with more.
Because the goal isn't to stop building.
It's to change what we're building on.
Homes are the business. Christ is the foundation.

The Power of Community: Faith, Recovery & Real Estate | Greg Goad
Season 2, Episode 10
Show notes
What if God was building your business through the relationships you were already creating… and you didn't even realize it?
🎙️ This week on Sold on Jesus, I'm sitting down with my friend and fellow Realtor, Greg Goad, owner of Trails to Towns in North Georgia.
Greg got sober at just 22 years old, and nearly 19 years later, he's sharing how recovery, finding a church home, and surrounding himself with the right people have shaped his life, marriage, family, and real estate business.
And here's what I LOVE about his story…
Greg wasn't chasing clients. He was building relationships.
Through his recovery community, church, mountain biking, and simply doing life with people, God was creating opportunities Greg didn't even recognize at the time.
Today, Greg and his wife, Lauren, run a successful real estate business, but his story is about SO much more than production numbers.
It's about allowing God to use your business as an extension of your ministry.
We talk about finding confidence in who God created you to be, serving clients through difficult seasons, protecting your marriage and family, creating margin, and making room for the Holy Spirit in everyday life.
Greg also shares his family's journey through their son's premature birth and hearing challenges, and how God continues to use his recovery testimony to encourage others.
And then Greg asks a question I haven't stopped thinking about…
“Is it good, or is it God?”
Because not every GOOD opportunity is necessarily what God is calling you to say YES to.
WHEW. That one hit home! 🥹
Whether you're a Realtor, walking through recovery, or simply looking for deeper community and a stronger relationship with Jesus, I pray this conversation encourages you.
You weren't created to do life alone. And your business was never meant to be your entire identity. 🤎

From $500K to $30K: What God Taught Me About Success | Kevin King
Season 2, Episode 9
Show notes
What happens when the success you prayed for becomes the very thing you're trusting in more than God?
This week on Sold on Jesus, I'm sitting down with Realtor and real estate investor Kevin King, whose vulnerable story of financial loss, pride, and surrender has reached people far beyond the real estate industry.
Kevin went from being a top-producing Realtor, selling over 100 homes to an institutional investor, and earning $500,000 in 2022 to making just $30,000 in 2023.
And that was only the beginning.
After transitioning into commercial real estate and making investments that didn't go as planned, Kevin found himself losing thousands of dollars every month, questioning his decisions, and waking up in the middle of the night to pray.
But here's what makes his testimony so powerful.
While his finances were falling apart, his family was still thriving.
Through this season, Kevin began recognizing how much of his identity and security he had placed in making money.
He had started trusting his ability to provide more than he trusted God to provide.
We talk about confronting pride, surrendering control, and asking God to change our hearts instead of simply changing our circumstances.
Kevin also shares how he felt led to tell his story on social media, how one vulnerable Instagram reel reached over a million people, and how those conversations have become opportunities to encourage others walking through financial struggles.
And this episode gets personal for me, too.
We discuss releasing the image of success, navigating financial uncertainty, and trusting God when the numbers no longer make sense.
This isn't a story about getting rich again. It's about realizing that being with God is worth more than anything money can provide.
If you're a Realtor, investor, entrepreneur, or anyone navigating financial pressure, burnout, or a season of surrender, this conversation is for YOU.

From Addiction to Purpose: How Jesus Changed Everything | Ellen Nichols
Season 2, Episode 8
Show notes
What happens when you stop trying to change your life in your own strength and finally surrender it to Jesus?
This week on Sold on Jesus, I sit down with Ellen Nichols of The Simple Agent for a powerful conversation about addiction, redemption, faith, and how God can use our past to give our lives new purpose.
Ellen shares her journey through addiction, the turning point that led her to surrender, and how her relationship with Jesus transformed her life.
But her testimony doesn't stop with overcoming addiction.
We talk about her transition into real estate, the heart behind The Simple Agent, and her involvement in jail ministry, where her experiences have shaped the way she serves others.
And what I loved about this conversation is that we didn't just talk about what God brought Ellen OUT of.
We talked about what He's continuing to lead her INTO.
Ellen opens up about spiritual attacks, navigating fear and uncertainty, and learning to seek God through Scripture, prayer, and a genuine relationship with Jesus.
Because surrender isn't a one-time decision. It's something we continue to walk out in our lives, relationships, and businesses.
We also discuss integrating faith into real estate, being a light to others, finding balance, and cultivating gratitude through every season.
This conversation is for anyone who has ever felt defined by their past or wondered whether God could use their story.
And for Christian Realtors, it's a reminder that our greatest impact may have very little to do with how many homes we sell.
Our stories can become part of how we serve others.

Stop Chasing Transactions. Start Serving People. | Nick Harris
Season 2, Episode 7
Show notes
Are you a fan of Jesus, or are you actually following Him?
That's a question I think many of us need to sit with, especially as Christian Realtors navigating an industry constantly pushing us to chase MORE.
This week on Sold on Jesus, I sit down with Realtor Nick Harris for an honest conversation about faith, success, identity, and what it looks like to follow Jesus in our personal lives AND our real estate businesses.
Nick shares his faith journey and how transitioning from being a fan of Jesus to a true follower changed his perspective on life, relationships, and success.
We also challenge something deeply rooted in the real estate industry:
Are we building relationships to genuinely serve people, or because we're hoping they'll become another transaction?
Our industry teaches us to measure everything. Leads, appointments, closings, GCI.
But what happens when production becomes our identity? When we prioritize the next deal over the people we're called to serve?
Nick and I discuss shifting from a transactional mindset to a heart posture of service, putting God first, family second, and business third, and finding fulfillment beyond production.
We also talk about coaching, community, consistency, and building a Christ-centered real estate business where faith isn't just something we talk about. It's how we operate.
This isn't about abandoning ambition or believing success is wrong.
It's about asking ourselves who we're following, who we're building for, and whether our work reflects Christ.
If you're a Christian Realtor wanting to align your faith, priorities, and business, this episode is for you.

Your Past Doesn’t Disqualify You From Your Purpose | Jess Munsterman
Season 2, Episode 6
Show notes
What if the parts of your story you’ve wanted to hide are some of the very places God wants to use?
This week on Sold on Jesus, I sit down with Jess Munsterman, a Colorado Realtor serving the foothills of Denver with Real Broker, for a conversation about faith, surrender, community, worthiness, and allowing God to redeem our stories.
Jess opens up about walking through adversity and the transformation that happened as she began surrendering more of her life to God.
But this conversation isn’t only about where Jess has been.
It’s about what God can do with a surrendered story.
We talk about finding purpose in our work, recognizing the gifts God has given us, allowing faith to shape the way we serve our clients, and learning that our careers can become places where we live out our faith rather than compartmentalize it.
We also get into something I believe so deeply in:
We were never meant to do this alone.
Jess shares how community has played a role in her growth, faith, opportunities, and ability to become more vulnerable about her own story.
We talk about what happens when Christian Realtors stop trying to appear like we have everything figured out and instead create space for real conversations about what God is doing in our lives AND our businesses.
Because surrender isn't only giving God our plans for the future.
Sometimes it's surrendering the story we've told ourselves about our past.
The shame.
The mistakes.
The feeling that someone else is more qualified.
The belief that what we've walked through somehow makes us less worthy of being used.
God can redeem all of it.
And sometimes the thing you thought disqualified you becomes part of how He equips you to serve someone else.
If you're a Realtor trying to figure out how your faith, story, gifts, and career all fit together, this conversation is for you. 🤎

Is It God’s Voice or Mine? Learning to Discern His Direction | Camille Marin
Season 2, Episode 5
Show notes
How do you know if it’s God leading you… or just your own voice?
That question comes up over and over again in this episode of Sold on Jesus with DFW Realtor Camille Marin.
Camille’s story is one of obedience.
From taking a leap of faith and moving to Texas to eventually feeling God call her into real estate, Camille shares what it has looked like to follow His direction even when she couldn’t see the entire plan ahead.
But this conversation goes deeper than simply following God.
We talk about learning how to hear Him.
How do you discern God’s voice when making decisions in your real estate business?
How do you recognize His direction when you have your own plans, fears, wants, and expectations competing for your attention?
What happens when obedience doesn’t immediately produce the outcome you expected?
And how does your definition of success change when you realize the impact of your work may have very little to do with the commission attached to it?
Camille and I talk about building a real relationship with Jesus, finding peace in His direction, staying in constant communication with God throughout the ordinary parts of our day, and approaching our businesses with humility and grace.
Because a Christ-centered real estate business isn’t built by occasionally asking God to bless the decisions we’ve already made.
It comes from knowing Him, seeking Him, and learning to recognize His voice when He leads.
This episode is for the Realtor who has found themselves praying:
“God, what do You want me to do next?”
Maybe the answer isn’t always another strategy.
Maybe sometimes we need to get quiet enough to listen.

Building the Team, Building the Brokerage & Learning to Surrender | Kim Taylor
Season 2, Episode 4
Show notes
What happens when you've spent years building the business, the team, the brokerage… and God starts asking you to let go?
In this episode of Sold on Jesus, I sit down with Realtor and broker Kim Taylor for an incredibly honest conversation about faith, real estate, financial pressure, obedience, and what surrender actually looks like when your livelihood is attached to the thing God is asking you to release control over.
Kim takes us through her journey of faith and building a successful career in real estate, including growing a team and brokerage, and eventually entering a season that forced her to examine what she valued, what she was holding onto, and who was actually leading the business.
We talk about the parts of surrender that aren't always pretty: financial distress, navigating major changes with your spouse, learning to be still when everything in you wants to fix it, releasing things you've worked incredibly hard to build, and choosing obedience before you know the outcome.
And ultimately, we talk about what happens when you stop asking God to simply bless the plans you've already made and start partnering with Him in the business.
This one is for the Realtor who's exhausted from trying to control the outcome, walking through financial uncertainty, questioning a transition, or hearing God say “be still” when everything in them wants to keep moving
Maybe letting go isn't losing.
Maybe it's making room for God to lead.

When God Calls You Into a New Season: Surrendering Security, Control & Your Career
Season 2, Episode 3
Show notes
What happens when following God means letting go of the very things that make you feel secure?
In this episode of Sold on Jesus, I sit down with Jennifer Laub for an honest conversation about faith, surrender, identity, and stepping into a completely new season when God starts realigning your life.
Jennifer shares her journey of rediscovering her faith and realizing that following Jesus was going to require more than simply believing. It meant releasing control, letting go of security, and trusting God enough to move before she knew exactly how everything would work out.
That surrender eventually led her into real estate, a new city, and a season of starting again with humility.
But this conversation is about so much more than a career change.
We talk about rediscovering who you really are when you stop trying to become who the world told you to be. We get into personal branding, authenticity, testimony, trusting God's timing, seeking the Kingdom first, and what it looks like to glorify Jesus through the way we do real estate.
Because sometimes God isn't asking us to build a bigger version of what we already had.
Sometimes He's asking us to surrender it and let Him show us what comes next.
A new season doesn't mean you're starting from nothing. You may finally be starting from the right foundation.

Faith When the Deals Aren’t Closing: Trusting God in Real Estate with Jamie Knight
Season 2, Episode 2

But what happens when obedience costs you something?
In this episode of Sold on Jesus, I sit down with Jamie Knight, Realtor with ΓEA⅃ Broker and host of ΓEA⅃ South Agents, for an honest conversation about what following Jesus actually looks like in real estate.

We talk about trusting God when the deal falls apart, telling a client the truth even when it could cost you the commission, staying faithful when business slows down, and learning to recognize that our provision was never dependent on one transaction in the first place.
We also get into consistency, perseverance, adapting when life changes, being present with your family, serving people well, and continuing to show up when you can't see the fruit yet.

The Realtor Math That Keeps You Broke with Dustin Wright
Season 1, Episode 9
Show notes
The advice most realtors hear about money is backwards. If you want real wealth, stop chasing status purchases and start asking one brutal question: is this an asset, or is it a liability?
Dani Hampton and Dustin Wright unpack the money mindset shift that changes everything for agents, entrepreneurs, and anyone who keeps building a bigger life without actually feeling wealthy. This conversation gets personal fast, from a high-performing CEO with a yacht and no family connection to the everyday traps that keep people spending on things that impress, numb, or distract instead of creating freedom.
Dani leads the discussion from the perspective of a real estate agent who has lived the scarcity mindset, the vision-board purchases, and the regret of realizing that “more” does not automatically mean “better.”
Dustin Wright, a real estate veteran of 23 years, brings the hard-won framework that helped him reprogram how he sees money, time, relationships, and what truly creates wealth.
You’ll discover:
• Why buying a car, a boat, or a luxury item can be a liability trap unless it is tied to a clear purpose
• The “asset vs. liability” filter Dustin uses to make financial decisions
• Why the real return on investment is often time, presence, and family connection
• How relationship assets and relationship liabilities quietly shape your life and business
• Why top producers can build big businesses and still feel empty
• How to rethink your calendar, your spending, and your definition of success
•Dustin breaks down the hidden cost of chasing ego, explaining why the people who need the least from you are often your best long-term relationships, and why the people who drain you are usually the ones giving you the least return. Danny adds real-life examples from team building, family life, and the pressure to “have it all,” showing how easy it is to spend money and time on things that look successful but do not actually build a meaningful life.
This episode matters because real estate rewards hustle, but hustle without intention can quietly destroy the very things you are working for. If you have ever felt rich on paper but disconnected in real life, this conversation will hit home.
Essential listening if you are a realtor, entrepreneur, or high achiever who wants to build wealth without losing your people, your presence, or yourself along the way.

Real Estate Teams: Why “Bigger” Isn’t Better ( Hiring Mistakes ) Dani Hampton x Dustin Wright
Season 1, Episode 5
Show notes
The Real Dani Show (Dani Hampton x Dustin Wright)
In this episode of The Real Dani Show, Dani Hampton sits down with Dustin Wright for a practical, business-first conversation about building real estate teams the right way. They talk through the mistakes agents make when they hire too fast—especially when they’re hiring for “relief” instead of strategy—and why bigger teams don’t automatically mean better results.
Dustin shares his journey in real estate and breaks down what many agents avoid: the financial side. From understanding your numbers to defining a clear business model, this episode is all about building something sustainable—without burning relationships, bleeding money, or building a team that creates more problems than it solves. The throughline is simple: clarity creates growth—especially when you set standards, stay self-aware, and commit to learning as the market evolves.
Keywords
real estate, real estate teams, team building, business strategy, financial awareness, hiring mistakes, leadership, market trends, entrepreneurial mindset, client relationships
Key Takeaways
• Real estate teams only work when you understand basic business principles.
• Hiring for “relief” often creates bad hires and messy dynamics.
• Financial awareness isn’t optional—you need to know your numbers.
• Bigger doesn’t necessarily mean better—size can hide inefficiency.
• A defined business model is the foundation before you scale.
• Self-awareness helps you hire better and lead with clarity.
• Clear standards protect culture, performance, and client experience.
• Relationships in real estate are complex—manage them intentionally.
• Knowing your market segment helps you build a business that fits your goals.
• The best operators keep learning and adapting as the market changes.Notable Quotes
• “Bigger doesn’t necessarily mean better.”
• “I think this is a super important part.”

Building Real Estate Teams Without Going Broke (Micro Team Strategy ) | Dani Hampton x Erik Hatch
Season 1, Episode 4
Show notes
In this episode of The Real Dani Show, Dani Hampton sits down with Eric Hatch for a real conversation about what it actually takes to build (and rebuild) a profitable real estate team. They unpack why so many teams break down—bad hires, unclear leadership, and chasing growth for the wrong reasons—and why “hope” can’t be the plan.
Eric shares lessons from his own journey—wins, losses, and expensive mistakes—and introduces the concept of the micro team as a sustainable foundation: the right support, the right roles, and strong standards before scaling. The conversation hits hard on culture, accountability, and why real leadership requires honesty, discipline, and a clear mission—ultimately framing real estate as a people business, and even a form of ministry when done with the right heart.
Keywords
real estate, real estate teams, team building, hiring, leadership, micro team, coaching, culture, profitability, accountability, mistakes
Key Takeaways
• There’s a difference between being well-known and being known well—and teams need the second.
• Most leaders overestimate the talent and readiness of who they hire.
• Hope isn’t a strategy—systems, standards, and accountability are.
• One great hire can solve multiple problems; one wrong hire multiplies chaos.
• The micro team model creates stability without over-scaling.
• New agents take far more time and training than most leaders expect.
• Culture isn’t a vibe—it’s expectations, behavior, and what you enforce.
• Sales skill and leadership skill are not the same thing.
• Confession + accountability are major leadership unlocks.
• Real estate can be done like a ministry: serving people well, not feeding ego.Notable Quotes
• “I lost millions and made millions.”
• “Sales is driven by dollars and ego.”
• “Your business should be a ministry.”Chapters
