Show notes
How do abandonment wounds affect the way we love, trust, communicate, and choose relationships? In this raw and honest conversation, Kerie Hamilton and JD explore how childhood abandonment, parental absence, emotional wounds, and survival patterns can continue to influence adult relationships.
Kerie opens up about experiencing father abandonment and the patterns she developed while trying to protect herself and others. JD shares his experience of being raised by his father after his mother left, navigating a complicated relationship with his stepmother, and learning how to understand and express emotions he once struggled to communicate.
Together, they unpack the connection between childhood trauma and adult relationships, including:
• Why familiar pain can sometimes feel safer than healthy love
• How childhood survival patterns can follow us into adulthood
• Why emotionally unavailable partners may feel familiar
• The difference between sacrifice, attachment, and genuine connection
• How boundaries can help break unhealthy relationship patterns
• The role of vulnerability and emotional communication
• What forgiveness can look like without ignoring the pain
• How self-reflection can help us recognize repeating patterns
• Why healthy love can sometimes feel unfamiliar after trauma
Healing isn’t always about changing the people who hurt us. Sometimes, it begins with understanding why certain patterns became familiar in the first place.
Kerie and JD share their personal perspectives on abandonment, family dynamics, emotional availability, forgiveness, boundaries, vulnerability, and the hard work of creating healthier connections.
If you’ve ever wondered “Why do I keep repeating the same relationship patterns?” or questioned why healthy love feels unfamiliar, this conversation offers an honest look at the wounds beneath the patterns—and what it can mean to begin breaking them.

The Shepherd You Trusted Was Betraying You? Zechariah 11: Corruption and Truth
Show notes
What happens when the person you trusted to lead you is actually the person betraying you?
In this powerful episode of Sorry Satan This Soul is for The Savior with Kerie Hamilton, Kerie explores Zechariah 11 through the lens of betrayal, narcissistic abuse, manipulation, discernment, toxic relationships, and learning what real love is…and what love is not.
Kerie shares her personal journey of learning that love isn’t control, manipulation, fear, or losing yourself to keep someone else happy. Sometimes the people we believe are good, trustworthy, or safe can be the very people leading us away from our truth.
Zechariah 11’s imagery of the shepherd and the flock becomes a powerful reminder to look beyond appearances and pay attention to character, actions, and fruit.
This conversation is about recognizing when manipulation becomes control, when deception becomes normalized, and when following someone else’s version of reality causes you to abandon your own.
Most importantly, it’s about discovering that truth doesn’t always feel freeing at first…but standing in truth eventually sets you free.
If you’ve ever experienced narcissistic abuse, betrayal, a toxic relationship, trauma bonding, manipulation, or the painful process of rebuilding your identity after someone made you question yourself, this episode is for you.
You don’t have to keep following what is destroying you just because you once believed it was leading you somewhere good.
Sometimes the moment is simply realizing:
“This isn’t love. This isn’t truth. And I don’t have to follow it anymore.”

Is It Ambition? …or a Mother/Father Wound?
Show notes
What if what you call ambition isn’t actually ambition at all?
Sometimes the relentless drive to succeed, prove yourself, stay productive, achieve more, or finally become “good enough” can come from somewhere much deeper—the mother wound, father wound, childhood trauma, emotional neglect, or the need to earn the love and validation you didn’t receive growing up.
In this episode, we’re unpacking the difference between healthy ambition and trauma-driven achievement.
Are you chasing your dreams because they genuinely fulfill you—or because some wounded part of you is still trying to prove your worth?
We’ll explore childhood trauma, attachment wounds, inner child healing, parental validation, people-pleasing, perfectionism, narcissistic parenting, abandonment wounds, self-worth, and the pressure to become successful as a way of escaping your past.
Because healing isn’t about becoming less ambitious
It’s about making sure your ambition belongs to you-not the wounded version of you that had something to prove.
Your success hits differently when you no longer need it to prove that you are worthy.

Parenting/Dating with Children and with a Narcissistic Partner
Show notes
What happens when the person you have to co-parent with is also the person who constantly manipulates, controls, gaslights, or creates conflict? Or what if you are dating and cannot break from the trauma bond with the narcissist and you have children involved?
In this raw and honest episode, we unpack the reality of parenting with a narcissist—from narcissistic co-parenting and emotional manipulation to smear campaigns, reactive abuse, parental alienation, and the impossible pressure of trying to protect your children while maintaining your own peace.
You’ll learn how narcissistic behavior can impact children, why high-conflict co-parenting feels so exhausting, and how to stop getting pulled into the cycle of defending, explaining, and reacting.
Because sometimes healing isn’t about getting the narcissist to understand.
It’s about learning how to stop letting their chaos control your peace and becoming the safe, emotionally healthy parent your children need.

When Abuse Makes You React: The Truth About Reactive Abuse
Show notes
What happens when someone pushes you, provokes you, gaslights you, manipulates you, and then uses your reaction as “proof” that you are the problem?
In this powerful episode of SORRY SATAN THIS SOUL IS FOR THE SAVIOR with Kerie Hamilton, we unpack reactive abuse: what it is, how abusers can provoke emotional reactions, and why your response does not erase the pattern of abuse that came before it.
Because sometimes the reaction everyone sees is only the last chapter of a story they never witnessed.
They showed everyone your reaction. They just forgot to tell them what they did to create it.😡

THE BODY KEEPS SCORE. THE NARCISSIST CAN COST YOU MORE THAN YOUR PEACE.
Show notes
Nobody talks enough about what happens to your body when you live in survival mode.
Constant stress.
Walking on eggshells.
Hypervigilance.
Anxiety.
Sleepless nights.
Emotional exhaustion.
You keep trying to survive the relationship… while your body is screaming, “I don’t feel safe.”
And let me make this clear: YOU ARE NOT “too sensitive.” Your nervous system may be responding to prolonged stress.
The healing begins when you stop making their chaos your responsibility.
You don’t need their apology to choose peace.
You don’t need their validation to choose yourself.
And you don’t need to destroy your health trying to prove your worth to someone who keeps hurting you.
PROTECT YOUR PEACE BECAUSE IN TIME; YOUR HEALTH WILL FORCE YOU TO‼️

Why Was I Attracted to the Narcissist? The Truth About Trauma Bonds, Self-Abandonment & Healing
Show notes
Why was I attracted to the narcissist in the first place?
The brutal truth is sometimes we don’t recognize narcissistic abuse because the relationship feels familiar, not because it’s healthy.
When you’ve learned to ignore your own needs, silence your intuition, overgive, and prove your worth to receive love, you can mistake emotional chaos for connection.
In this episode, we unpack the uncomfortable truth behind narcissistic abuse, trauma bonds, self-abandonment, emotional dependency, and the patterns that can keep us attached to people who continually hurt us.
Healing isn’t about blaming yourself for what happened.
It’s about finally asking:
“Why did I abandon myself to be loved by someone else?”
The turning point comes when you realize you were never asking for too much…you were asking the wrong person.
This is the journey from self-abandonment to self-love, from trauma bonding to freedom, and from surviving narcissistic abuse to reclaiming who you were always meant to be.
You don’t have to lose yourself to keep someone else.
Choose yourself. Reclaim yourself. Never abandon yourself for someone else’s love again.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder: Understanding NPD, Narcissistic Abuse & the Patterns Behind It
Show notes
What is Narcissistic Personality Disorder—and how is it different from narcissistic behavior?
In this episode, we’re taking a deeper look at Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD), what it actually means clinically, and why the term “narcissist” is often misunderstood.
We’ll explore the characteristics associated with NPD, including grandiosity, a need for admiration, entitlement, difficulty with empathy, relationship difficulties, and patterns of behavior that can deeply affect the people around them.
But there’s an important distinction: not everyone who displays narcissistic traits has NPD. A diagnosis belongs to a qualified mental-health professional.
Most importantly, this conversation isn’t about labeling or diagnosing someone from a distance.
It’s about understanding the patterns, recognizing what isn’t healthy, and learning that you don’t need someone else’s diagnosis to validate your experience.
Because sometimes healing begins when you stop asking:
“What is wrong with them?”
…and start asking:
“What do I need to do to protect and rebuild myself?”

From Rock Bottom to Redemption: My Faith Testimony of Finding Jesus
Show notes
This episode isn’t about my story; it’s about God’s faithfulness.
I share my testimony not for me… but for you.
For the one who feels like they’re not enough.
For the one wondering whether to hold on or let go because the weight of this world has become heavier than the hope of another day.
For the one who can’t see the love within themselves because pain has drowned out the truth.
For the one who has believed the lies of the enemy instead of embracing the unconditional love of God.
No two stories are the same, and I will never compare my trauma to anyone else’s. But one truth changed everything for me: Jesus understands suffering.
He was rejected, abandoned, betrayed, falsely accused, mocked, beaten, humiliated, arrested though innocent, unjustly condemned, grieved, and misunderstood. He entered into human suffering so that no one would have to face it alone.
As I began reading Scripture, I realized I wasn’t just learning about Jesus—I was meeting the One who understood every chapter of my life.
The greatest lesson I learned is this: suffering did not define the end of Jesus’ story, and it doesn’t have to define yours.
The cross wasn’t the end. It was the beginning of victory.
In this episode, I share how God met me in my darkest moments, transformed my pain into purpose, restored hope where I thought none remained, and showed me that my testimony was never meant to point people to me—it was always meant to point them to Him.
If you’re struggling with trauma, abuse, rejection, grief, depression, anxiety, hopelessness, or you’re searching for God in the middle of your pain, I pray this testimony reminds you that your story isn’t over.
My testimony isn’t proof of who I am.
It’s evidence of who He is.
And if He did it for me, He can do it for you.

“My Child Hates Me”… Or Do They? Understanding Children Need a Safe Space, Not a Perfect Parent
Show notes
Have you ever felt like your child hates you? The slammed doors, eye rolls, silence, anger, or rejection can leave parents feeling heartbroken and questioning everything they’re doing. But what if those behaviors aren’t signs of hate at all?
In this episode, we explore the deeper truth behind childhood emotions and behaviors. Children often express pain, fear, confusion, and unmet needs through anger because they don’t yet have the emotional tools to communicate what they’re truly feeling.
We’ll discuss:
* How childhood trauma, divorce, family conflict, and life changes affect behavior
* The difference between discipline and emotional connection
* How parents can become a safe space instead of a battleground
* Practical ways to build trust, communication, and security with your child
If you’re a parent, grandparent, caregiver, or someone healing from your own childhood wounds, this episode will offer hope, insight, and encouragement. Sometimes what looks like rebellion is really a child asking, “Will you still love me when I’m struggling?”
Join us as we uncover how creating a safe, loving environment can transform relationships and help children feel seen, heard, and valued.

Inside the Suicidal Mind: Statistics, Brain Chemistry, and Recovery
Show notes
In this powerful episode of “Sorry Satan, This Soul Is for the Savior,” we dive into one of the most important conversations of our time: suicide awareness, mental health, and the science behind emotional pain.
We explore the latest suicide statistics, why so many people suffer in silence, and how trauma, chronic stress, depression, and anxiety can affect the brain. Learn how the amygdala (the brain’s fear and survival center) can become stuck in overdrive, causing individuals to feel trapped in cycles of fear, hopelessness, emotional overwhelm, and despair.
We’ll discuss the role of brain chemicals such as serotonin, dopamine, cortisol, and how imbalances can impact mood, decision-making, and emotional regulation. You’ll also discover how the prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain responsible for logic and reasoning, can become less effective when the brain is flooded with stress signals.

Subconscious Belief vs Conscious Reality: Virgin Mary Story, Chromosomes, and the Question of Truth
Show notes
What if the greatest stories ever told were never meant to be taken only literally… but psychologically, spiritually, and consciously? In this thought-provoking podcast episode, we explore the difference between subconscious programming and conscious awareness, and how belief systems shape human reality.
We dive into the scientific discussion of XX and XY chromosomes, how biological sex is genetically determined, and the theological mystery surrounding the story of the Virgin Mary and the birth of Jesus. If a woman carries XX chromosomes and traditionally a man determines whether a child is XX or XY, how has this story been interpreted throughout history? Is it meant to be understood as literal reality, divine intervention, symbolic consciousness, or a deeper message about creation itself?
This episode explores the intersection of spirituality, science, theology, psychology, and subconscious belief systems. We discuss how stories, symbols, frequencies, emotions, and inherited beliefs influence the subconscious mind — and whether awakening into consciousness means questioning everything we were taught about reality.
Topics include:
Subconscious mind vs conscious awareness
False reality and belief systems
XX and XY chromosome science
The Virgin Mary and immaculate conception
Theology vs biology
Consciousness and perception
Spiritual symbolism in religion
Science, faith, and human creation
Awakening from programmed beliefs
