Stargrove Video

Welcome to first The Stargrove Video Halloween Special!

Deja vu strikes back at Stargrove Video when the dead body of Oliver appears again before the store's preparation for their The Haunted Aisles. They realize they are going to have to sacrifice one of their staff members to stop the violence and insanity. Uncle Huey's Time Machine comes in handy at the very last moment. Then...

The staff is here to give you their Halloween themed staff picks but it takes place during their haunted aisles attraction. Prepare for a scary time as people keep scaring the staff with their loud screams. Then...

It is Nick's Screening Room pick of the black‑and‑white version of Marvel's Werewolf by Night for watching and discussing.

Welcome back to Stargrove Video! Also, welcome to the bizarre! The day begins with a mysterious dead body in the store. They wrestle with the idea that a time machine may have altered reality, and debates who — if anyone — is responsible. While investigating the body they discover a button under the register that takes them on a very wild and crazy journey. When they return, things seem like they are back to normal but they are not.

They later head to the screening room to screen and discuss the 1992 film Stay Tuned. It is about satellite TV from hell that pulls people into a nightmarish realm of twisted TV shows. The film leads to a discussion about sitcoms and fun stories about them. But.....

The staff doesn't realize what they unearthed, because next week one of them will be leaving Stargrove Video forever....

Welcome back to Stargrove Video! Tonight we are screening and discussing the Anthony Michael Hall (not so) classic "Out Of Bounds". But first, one by one, the staff talk movies that remain trapped on VHS. That of course leads to discussion about formats. Then, Jack gets personal. He tells an awful, but true, tale about a tv festival.

Welcome back to Stargrove Video! Last week we heard the noise, this week we find out what that noise was. Through Backrooms and time travel our fifth staff member joins us! After we come back to present day we talk about the new show Crystal Lake trailer and more. Then we are off to the store theater to watch and discuss The Backrooms (2026).

Welcome back to Stargrove Video! It is a slow night but that gives the staff a chance to prep for Halloween by airing out their grievances for "spooky season". That culminates into a discussion about posers and the the hatred of public domain properties. The staff closes the near empty store and go to the screening room for the feature "Vice Squad", a delicious, grimy, nasty film from 1982 starring Wings Hauser.

Welcome back to Stargrove Video. Halloween is getting closer, but not as close as the new Halloween game.. Jack discusses the game with the guys and his quick take on it before putting some copies on the shelf. The conversation turns into what futuristic films got the closest to predicting the future. None of them predicted where the conversation went when it came to not so nice people from the staff’s past. The store closes and the screening happens for Dave’s pick of Rollerball (1975) which is a surprisingly a first for some staff members.

Who the hell is Tom?! That’s a valid question. Tom Heigl is a phantom camera operator who worked on many different films including: Drive, The Revenant, Final Destination 5, Kong Skull Island, Bad Grandpa, Jackass 3D, The Eric Andre Show and many others. He has come to the store to catch up with Jack and talk about some of the productions he worked on since you’re here.

Welcome back to Stargrove Video. Everyone else is outside waiting for the store to open but you’re invited to be inside during our Back To School Staff Picks. We pick some of our favorite school set films which brings up an interesting topic about modern school set films. Then you are fast forwarded to our screening room for Brandon’s pick of the 1982 Grindhouse classic “Pieces”. Each staff member discusses the film on stage.

And you thought it was over? Nothing is over until we decide it is! The staff are back and talking about an old podcast some of them did, and how movies from today compare to the movies of 2011 when that show started. Movies discussed are Backrooms, Obsession, Masters Of The Universe and more. We hope you enjoy your hangout!

Come back and see us next week when you’ll get Pieces of The Industry… that’s all we’ll say for now.

Welcome To The Grand Opening of Stargrove Video! In this episode you will meet our staff through a meeting where we list movies we identify with. Also our very first screening room feature discussion of "Never Too Young To Die", an action, comedy, oddball movie starring John Stamos, Gene Simmons, Vanity, Robert Englund, and George Lazenby. We hope you have a great time and come back because Episode 1.5 is not too far away!

Welcome to Stargrove Video! This is a small six minutes introduction episode to give you an idea of what to expect on the show. Your host, Jack, gives you a general idea of how things will go. Please subscribe and be some of the first patrons of Stargrove Video! Thank you for listening! The show will start very soon!
