  1. My Life Got Quiet....So I Started Living It!

    Season 3, Episode 5

    Show notes

What if “protecting your peace” quietly turns into controlling who gets access to you?

When my life got quieter, I thought I was simply setting boundaries. I stopped automatically showing up because someone wanted me to. I stopped assuming every invitation required a yes. And for the first time, I started asking myself a question that sounds simple but changed a lot for me:

    What do I actually want?

That question started showing up everywhere—from my relationships to the way I decorated my home. I stopped creating a life based on everybody else’s preferences and started discovering my own. Somewhere between the HomeGoods trips, the plants, the garage gym, quiet evenings on my couch, and learning to genuinely enjoy my own company, I realized something:

I had become important to me.

But then I had to confront the uncomfortable side of that growth.

Was I protecting my peace… or had I become so comfortable controlling access to myself that nothing and no one was allowed to interrupt it?

In this episode of Steff’s Signature Corner, I’m talking about the difference between boundaries and control, solitude and loneliness, compromise and self-abandonment—and why choosing yourself doesn’t require you to stop choosing the people you love.

Because maybe real peace isn’t creating a life nobody can interrupt.

Maybe it’s becoming secure enough in yourself that you can let people in without losing yourself in the process.

My wants don’t have to outrank everybody else’s. But they don’t automatically have to come last either.

🎙️ Real talk. Real growth. Real purpose.

  2. Can I Trust New People With Me? | When Being Guarded Becomes a Wall

    Season 3, Episode 4

    Show notes

Have you ever had a genuinely good time with someone, gone home…and immediately started replaying everything you said?

Did I share too much? Was I too quiet? Did I say something wrong? Did I give them too much access too soon?

In this episode of Steff’s Signature Corner, I’m exploring what it means to build new friendships after old ones have changed the way you approach trust.

The interesting part? These new people haven’t done anything wrong.

I’m experiencing friendships that feel refreshing—women who encourage me, listen, show genuine interest in my life, and bring different perspectives to the table. Yet I’ve caught myself searching for problems that haven’t actually happened.

So I had to confront a harder question: Am I practicing discernment, or am I anticipating disappointment?

We’re talking about vulnerability without oversharing, boundaries without building walls, learning to support people without becoming responsible for their lives, and why trust isn’t just about asking whether someone is safe for me.

Because while I’m wondering, “Can I trust them with me?” someone else may be quietly wondering, “Can I trust Steff with me?”

Maybe healthy friendship isn’t about giving someone immediate access to every part of you. Maybe trust is built gradually—through consistency, communication, reciprocity, and time.

And maybe when something feels good, we don’t always have to search for the reason it might eventually go wrong.

Real talk. Real growth. Real purpose.

  3. Were We Ever Really Friends?

    Season 3, Episode 3

    Show notes

Some friendships end with a big falling out. Others just… fade. And sometimes, years later, you find yourself looking back and asking a question you never thought you'd have to ask: Were we ever really friends?

In this episode of Steff's Signature Corner, I'm looking back at friendships that shaped different seasons of my life and I'm not just talking about what they did. I'm turning the mirror on myself, too.

What happens when friendship becomes one-sided? When comparison replaces celebration? When we're talking about each other instead of to each other? And what if the friendship was real… but simply wasn't meant to last forever?

I'm also confronting something uncomfortable about myself: the ways I've over given, pulled away without having the conversation, and sometimes expected people to pass tests they didn't even know they were taking.

Maybe every friendship that ends wasn't fake.

Maybe some people were exactly who we needed for a season.

And maybe the bigger question isn't just “Were we ever really friends?”

It's “What does real friendship look like to me now?”

Real talk. Real growth. Real purpose.

  4. Maybe I'm Not a Loner

    Season 3, Episode 2

    Show notes

    Maybe I’m Not a Loner

For a while, I told myself I was a loner.

My life had gotten quieter. Friendships changed. Some relationships ended, some found their way back to me, and somewhere in the middle of all of that, I started spending a lot more time with myself.

And I thought something was wrong with that.

But what if being alone and being lonely aren't the same thing?

In this episode of Steff’s Signature Corner, I’m talking about what happened when I stopped looking at my quiet season as something I needed to fix and started paying attention to what it was teaching me.

We’re talking about changing friendships, isolation, reconnecting with people, learning to enjoy your own company, and realizing that sometimes a quieter life isn't an empty life.

    Maybe I didn't become a loner.

Maybe I just became more intentional about who gets access to me.

    And maybe that's growth.

    In this episode:

    • The difference between being alone and feeling lonely
    • What changing friendships taught me about myself
    • Learning to stop blaming myself for my quieter life
    • Reconnecting with old friendships while remaining open to new ones
    • Becoming comfortable with my own company
    • Giving myself permission to let relationships change

  5. Who Takes Care of the Woman Who Takes Care of Everyone?

    Season 3, Episode 1

    Show notes

Who takes care of the woman everyone depends on?

In this episode of Steff’s Signature Corner, I’m talking about what it means to be the strong woman—the one who handles it, fixes it, carries it, and makes sure everyone else is okay.

But what happens when she gets tired?

We’re getting into the pressure of always being dependable, learning to receive instead of constantly giving, allowing people to show up for you, and realizing that taking care of yourself doesn’t have to wait until everything and everyone else is taken care of.

This is a conversation about softness, boundaries, vulnerability, and giving yourself permission to matter too.

If you’re the woman everybody calls when life gets heavy, this episode is for you. 🤎

Welcome to Steff’s Signature Corner—where we keep it real, keep growing, and keep choosing ourselves with intention.
