Sharon Rose. " The Woman Behind The Headlines"
Episode 128
Show notes
Sharon Rose is a longtime broadcast journalist and familiar face to generations of Mainers. With nearly four decades in television news, including 30 years anchoring the morning news at NEWS CENTER Maine, she’s built a career around storytelling, connecting with people, and being a trusted voice in her community.
But Sharon’s story is also one of reinvention. In her 50s, she began challenging the notion that success has to follow a straight line, or that there’s an age when we’re supposed to stop dreaming bigger. That mindset led her to entrepreneurship and the travel industry, where she’s building a second career centered on helping others experience more of the world while creating new opportunities for themselves.
Passionate about personal growth, embracing change, and refusing to let age define what’s possible, Sharon believes some of life’s most exciting chapters are the ones we never saw coming.

Morgan & Rob Harper "Dirigo Ranch" "Dirigo Ranch Feed & Seed"
Season 1, Episode 126
Show notes
Morgan and Rob Harper are building something special in Berwick, Maine. As the owners of Dirigo Ranch and Dirigo Ranch Feed & Seed, they’ve turned a passion for the country lifestyle into a growing family business rooted in hard work, self reliance, and a love for the land.
Their journey started with a flock of laying hens and plenty to learn. Since then, they’ve grown their homestead into a family run ranch raising beef cattle, horses, and other livestock, working alongside their children and Morgan’s parents to build a lasting legacy.
Inspired by Western-style ranching and their Maine roots, the Harpers chose the name Dirigo meaning “I lead,” Maine’s state motto as a reflection of the path they’re creating for their family. Through their Feed & Seed business, they’re also supporting the people who raise livestock, ride, hunt, and live the agricultural lifestyle.
In this episode, we sit down with Morgan and Rob to talk about starting from scratch, learning through experience, growing a family business, and having the grit to pursue a different kind of life. Their story is a reminder that you don’t have to have it all figured out to get started—you just have to be willing to put in the work. -

Keith Scott "Turning Struggles Into Laughs"
Season 1, Episode 125
Show notes
Keith Scott’s story is proof that sometimes the best way to deal with life’s hardest moments is to find a reason to laugh. Growing up socially awkward, facing bullying, and overcoming early physical challenges, Keith learned at a young age that humor could be more powerful than throwing a punch. After losing his father at just 10 years old, laughter became a way for his family to navigate grief and keep moving forward.
Keith’s journey into comedy started as a way to work through life’s challenges, following a suggestion from his therapist. With encouragement from a mentor and inspiration from Steve Martin’s MasterClass, he began developing his voice and learning the craft of performing. Since 2016, Keith has been putting in the work as a stand-up comedian, performing at different venues and sometimes taking on as many as four sets in a single night. That’s a lot of time on stage, plenty of opportunities to sharpen his craft, and no shortage of chances to turn life into material.
But for Keith, comedy is about more than getting a laugh. It’s about taking the hard stuff, finding perspective, and connecting with people through shared experiences. He knows that behind some of our funniest stories are moments that once hurt like hell. Today, he uses humor to remind people that it's okay to talk about what we've been through, that laughter and healing can go hand in hand, and that sometimes our toughest experiences become the stories that bring us together.

Season 1, Episode 124
Show notes
Devin Morrisette is back on the 207 Collective Podcast almost two years after we first sat down.
The last time Devin was on the show, he was working full-time while grinding away building Fix A View on the side. Window cleaning, gutters, solar panels whatever the customer needed, Devin was willing to get after it.
Fast forward two years and he’s taken the leap. Fix A View is now his full-time gig. No shortcut, no overnight success just showing up, doing good work, communicating with people, and building it one customer at a time.
And because apparently one business wasn’t enough, Devin has also started Light Your View, specializing in permanent outdoor lighting and taking the headache out of holiday lights hanging them, maintaining them, and taking them down when the season is over.
We talk about what’s changed, what he’s learned, the reality of turning a side hustle into a full-time business, and why Devin believes that if you keep showing up and doing things the right way, eventually people notice. -
