Episode 6: Experiencing Your Flow State
Season 1, Episode 6
Show notes
EP. 06 | Experiencing Your Flow State
What happens when you stop trying to create the perfect movement and start allowing the movement to come through you?
In this episode of The Aligned Aerialist, we're exploring the experience of flow.. that beautiful space where your mind quiets, your body takes over, and movement begins to unfold naturally.
Through personal performance stories, moments of unexpected synchronicity, and experiences from my years of teaching aerial, we dive into the relationship between presence and flow, what happens when pressure pulls us out of the moment, and how we can find our way back.
I'll also share some of my favorite practices for exploring flow in your own aerial practice, from moving with familiar sequences to surrendering to music you've never heard before.
We'll explore:
•
The difference between presence and flow
•
Creating the conditions for flow without trying to force it
•
Finding freedom within familiar movements and choreography
•
Recognizing those unexpected "magic moments"
•
Shifting from pressure and perfectionism into play and exploration
•
Learning to recognize and deepen your own experiences of flow
My invitation to you is simple: Know the moves, but leave room for the movement.
Let yourself explore. Let yourself be surprised. And discover what becomes possible when you stop trying to manufacture the experience and start allowing yourself to be fully present within it.
Because sometimes the most beautiful moments in our artistry are the ones we never planned.
🌷 We bloom from within.

Episode 5: Experiencing Presence in Your Body & Movement
Season 1, Episode 5
Show notes
What does it actually mean to be fully present in your body and your movement?
In this episode of The Aligned Aerialist, I'm sharing my personal journey of discovering presence through childhood movement, meditation, yoga, and eventually the aerial arts and how those experiences shaped my understanding of what it means to truly inhabit your body.
We'll explore the difference between thinking your way through movement and actually experiencing it, how awareness can deepen your connection to your body, and why presence can transform the way you learn, move, and express yourself as an aerialist.
I'll also guide you through a few simple practices to help you explore your own sensory experience, connect more deeply with your movement, and begin developing a greater capacity for presence and embodiment both on and off the apparatus.
This isn't about moving perfectly or getting anything right. It's about getting curious, playing, and discovering what it feels like to truly experience yourself in motion.
🌷 We bloom from within, so we can create from a space of true soul expression.

Episode 4: The Mind-Body-Apparatus Connection
Season 1, Episode 4
Show notes
What if your aerial practice was about more than learning tricks, refining technique, or perfecting movement? What if it was about deeply understanding yourself within the apparatus?
In this episode of The Aligned Aerialist, I'm inviting you to grab your favorite cozy beverage and join me for a conversation about a philosophy that has been at the heart of my teaching for years: the mind-body-apparatus connection.
After a personal breakthrough that helped me recognize just how deeply this connection has shaped my journey, I'm sharing how it came to be, what it actually means, and how we can begin experiencing it more intentionally in our own practice.
We'll explore the relationship between our minds, our bodies, and our apparatuses, and how presence, awareness, and curiosity can transform the way we learn, move, and express ourselves in the air.
This isn't just about what your movement looks like. It's about understanding what you're doing, feeling what you're experiencing, and developing a deeper relationship with yourself and your apparatus.
So grab your coffee or tea, settle in, and let's explore together. ☕🌷
Because we're all aligned aerialists at heart.

Episode 3: How Knowing Yourself Deeper Supports Your Aerial Practice
Season 1, Episode 3
Show notes
What if becoming a more aligned aerialist isn't about perfecting your skills, but about deepening your relationship with yourself?
In this episode of The Aligned Aerialist, we're exploring how getting to know yourself on a deeper level can transform the way you experience your aerial practice.
From navigating fear, frustration, and self-doubt to honoring your body's needs, embracing vulnerability, and finding compassion through the challenging moments, we'll explore how the relationship you cultivate with yourself extends into everything you do on the apparatus.
I'll also be sharing some of my own experiences with perfectionism, physical limitations, emotional breakdowns, and the lessons I've learned through nearly 15 years in the aerial arts.
Because the beautiful thing is, knowing yourself deeper doesn't just support your aerial practice. Your aerial practice can also become a portal to knowing yourself deeper.
This isn't about becoming the perfect aerialist or the perfect human. It's about learning to return to yourself, again and again, through it all.
So grab your favorite cozy drink, settle in, and let's explore what it means to grow as both an aerialist and a human. 🤍

15 Years of Aerial Arts & the Lessons That Shaped Me
Hello, my loves! 🌷
In today's episode, I wanted to take a little time to introduce myself and share more of the journey that brought me here.
Nearly 15 years ago, I stepped into the world of aerial arts, not knowing just how profoundly it would shape my life. What began as a curiosity grew into a career filled with movement, artistry, teaching, choreography, production and most importantly, a deeper understanding of myself.
Throughout these years, I've worn so many hats. I've been a student, an instructor, a performer, a choreographer, a show producer, an instructor to other instructors. But underneath every role, I've always been a human being learning, growing, questioning and evolving.
Somewhere along the way, I began to recognize that the most meaningful transformations in our aerial practice don't always happen in the air.
Sometimes, they happen in the moments we begin to understand ourselves a little more deeply.
In this episode, I'm sharing pieces of my aerial journey, the experiences that started to shape my teaching philosophy.and why I've come to believe that the connection between our mind, body and apparatus is about so much more than technique.
I'm also sharing how I hope to support you through this space, whether you're an aerial student, an instructor, an artist, or simply someone looking to deepen your relationship with yourself through movement.
My hope is that The Aligned Aerialist becomes a place where we can explore not only what we're capable of doing, but who we're becoming along the way.
Thank you for being here, for listening, and for being part of this new chapter.
Here's to growing, exploring, and blooming together. 🌿

Season 1, Episode 1
Show notes
What if your aerial practice could become more than learning tricks, building strength, or perfecting your artistry? What if it could become a space to meet yourself more deeply?
Welcome to the very first episode of The Aligned Aerialist Podcast! 🌷
In this episode, I'm sharing the inspiration behind The Aligned Aerialist, how years of teaching and exploring my own practice led me to discover a methodology rooted in presence, embodiment, and self-discovery, and what it truly means to find alignment within your aerial journey.
We'll explore how the ordinary moments of your practice from frustration with a trick to self-judgment while watching a recording or nerves before a performance can become opportunities to reconnect with yourself, deepen your artistry, and grow as a human.
Because aerial is about so much more than what we can do with our bodies. It's also about what we discover within ourselves along the way.
This is just the beginning of a beautiful conversation, and I'm so grateful you're here to explore it with me.
