The Bald Brothers Podcast

Kev and Tony Baker are back on the Bald Brothers podcast for a full deep dive into the legendary career of Janet Jackson. From her breakout on Good Times and Diff'rent Strokes to her iconic run of albums with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, the brothers break down every era of Janet's discography.
They cover the first Janet Jackson songs they remember hearing, their all-time favorite tracks, her best albums, favorite music videos, most underrated and overrated songs, dream collaborations, and their top 10 Janet Jackson songs. Along the way they debate Janet's four-album run of Control, Rhythm Nation, janet., and Velvet Rope against Michael Jackson's catalog, discuss the genius of Quincy Jones as a producer, roast Phil Collins and his hair, go off on a tangent about World War II history, and share their list of songs they know every word to but absolutely hate.
Plus: The Super Bowl halftime show controversy, Janet in Poetic Justice, the Beatles making four separate movies, and whether Janet Jackson would be even more celebrated if she was not Michael Jackson's sister.
Next week: a deep dive on legendary producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.

Kev and Tony Baker are back on the Bald Brothers Podcast diving into Marvel's ‘Vision Quest’ on Disney+ — breaking down White Vision's identity crisis, Ultron's return, and why you might need to watch ‘Agatha All Along’ first (they didn't). They also discuss ‘The Drop’ Episode 6, Angel Reese's dominant 30-point performance in Game 2 of the Dream vs. Valkyries WNBA Finals, and the Atlanta Hawks' roster identity crisis. Kev makes the case that Kanye West is the most influential rapper of all time, breaking down his evolution from ‘College Dropout’ to ‘808s & Heartbreak’ and beyond. The guys debate 50 Cent vs. Kanye's legendary first-week sales battle, revisit Tupac's artistic evolution, and explore Jay-Z's growth on ‘4:44.’ Plus, Tony launches a new segment called The Flower Shop, giving well-deserved flowers to En Vogue — one of the greatest R&B groups of the '90s — with a full breakdown of their chart history and cultural impact. And yes, Kev goes on an epic tangent about ‘One Piece,’ Chicago pizza, and why he's never getting revenge for his worst bedroom L.
