  1. 60s Batman At 60: Hizzonner The Penguin / Dizzoner The Penguin with Todd Libenow

    Show notes

Todd Libenow of the Forgotten Filmcast makes a long overdue debut on the show. He’s a gigantic 60s Bat-fanatic. And on this election week in the United States, Gotham City is also seeing their civic duty to vote being excercised. Yes, it’s “the one where the Penguin runs for Mayor”!

Another week, another set of factoids and weird stats that I hope you are enjoying in this retrospective look back at 60’s Batman as it turns 60 years old.

  2. Trick Or Treat With Reed Richmond (2025) with Troy Brownfield

    Show notes

If you’ve been following for a while, there’s a special place in Troy Brownfield and I’s heart for The WNUF Halloween Special. We covered its sequel a few years ago and now there’s a spin-off – Trick or Treat with Reed Richmond. Set 1 year before Out There Halloween Mega Tape, this Sci-Fi Channel influenced special is another tasty delight.

Stick around for the end as Troy and I spend time sharing some Halloween/Spooky tales of our own!

  3. 60s Batman At 60: The Devil’s Fingers / The Dead Ringers with Greg McGoon

    Show notes

This episode marks the long awaited return of our dear Greg McGoon. He gets to tackle the Liberace episode of the show. This two-parter was the highest rated pair of episodes in the entire series run, with part two being the highest rated single episode. Liberace was larger than life during this time and the show strays from the norm and caters right to him.

  5. 60s Batman At 60: An Egg Grows In Gotham / The Yegg Foes In Gotham with Aaron Neuwirth

    Show notes

Aaron Neuwirth pops back in to share thoughts on another one of his unique villain picks – Egghead! Vincent Price, in the prime of his Roger Corman/AIP heydey drops in with a deliciously Price-esque dazzle. This episode unfortunately tends to be on the wrong end of history at damn near every turn.

  6. 60s Batman At 60: The Clock King’s Crazy Crimes / The Clock King Gets Crowned with Scott Mendelson

    Show notes

Resident Bat-xpert Scott Mendelson is back and diving in on the diabolical Clock King. This episode features the most famous window cameo as well as a moment that has been shared around social media frequently. It’s also an episode that tries to stray from the norms and tropes of the series.

  7. 60s Batman At 60: The Greatest Mother of Them All / Ma Parker with Lisa Laman

    Show notes

Lisa Laman, whom you may have read or even heard on The Box Office Podcast with Scott Mendelson, makes her debut on the show to discuss Academy & Emmy Award winning actress Shelley Winters as Ma Parker! This character wasn’t from any comic book, but based on a real like character Winters would go on to plan in a Roger Corman film in the 1970s. However, another famous villain paws their way into one of these episodes as well.

Making his long awaited return since covering Blake’s 7 for Old Space Show is Radio Free Skaro’s Steven Schapansky. He had not ever watched the show properly before aside from some internet memes and clips. And I was happy to introduce him, especially so with the villain being King Tut!

  9. The Horrors of Val Lewton: Isle of the Dead (1945) with Steven Warren Hill

    Show notes

Mark Robson returns for this 2nd Boris Karloff/Val Lewton collabration called Isle of the Dead, inspired by the painting of the same name. This is the one film to forego mainstay composer Roy Webb, but he’s replaced by the legendary guy who made “When You Wish Upon A Star”. Steven and Brandon discuss the film which they feel is a bit of a return to form for this Lewton horror output.

When next this retrospective picks up, we’ll be talking about Bedlam from 1946.
