  1. SERGIO'S BACK ON TOUR | Dope Stroke Podcast Show #96

    Show notes

The Internet Invitational pulled in 16 million views last week - more than the final round of the Masters. Dazzler, Trottie and Bubs dig into whether that number actually means what it looks like, why Barstool’s chaos-first formula is working so well, and the risk creators take by putting themselves (and each other) on camera when the cameras don’t stop rolling.

Then Sergio Garcia announces he wants back on the DP World Tour. Should he get an easy route back in, or does that come at the expense of the players currently grinding to keep their card? The lads also pitch bringing back mentorship pairings for Europe’s next generation of major winners.

To close it out: each of the boys picks one golf rule they’d scrap for good. Knee-high drops, tap-ins near the hole, inflated handicaps and the “breakfast ball” all go on trial - verdict: guilty.

  2. Are Golf's Greatest Moments Already Behind Us? | Dope Stroke Podcast Show #95

    Show notes

Dazzler said on last week’s episode that he’s not a massive Rory McIlroy fan, and the internet showed up in force. He explains his actual reasoning this time - and clears up a few things that got lost in the pile-on.

Then the episode turns into something genuinely special: the lads trade the exact shots that got each of them hooked on golf as kids. Faldo’s 2-iron into 13 at the ‘96 Masters. John Daly’s Open win at St Andrews in his Reebok top. Tiger’s playoff stunner at La Costa in ‘97. Corey Pavin at Shinnecock. Trottie then goes shot-for-shot trying to name every Open Championship winner and venue since 1990 purely from memory, and gets remarkably far.

Along the way: Sergio Garcia’s driving display that Dazzler still can’t get over, Gary Woodland’s numbers testing clubs at the Trot Shop, and an honest conversation about whether the golf ball rollback is already dead before it’s even started.

  3. Rory Can't Win, Paid Too Much & Dressed Too Wide | Dope Stroke Podcast Show #94

    Show notes

Kevin Kisner claims Rory McIlroy’s trip to the DP World India Championship was about a reported $10M appearance fee, not “growing the game.” Rory’s response: two things can be true at once. Dazzler, Trottie and Bubs dig into who’s actually right, and somehow end up just as fired up about Rory’s new loose-fit trousers and the completely over-the-top reaction to them online.

Then it’s the main event: how do you actually halve your handicap? The lads build a real $500 improvement plan from scratch - covering golf coaching, course strategy, practice aids and equipment - and get honest about why so many golfers say they want to improve but aren’t actually willing to change how they practice to get there.

  4. Detained by the US Navy + Has Saudi Money Ruined Golf? | Dope Stroke Podcast Show #93

    Show notes

Dazzler’s back from a two-week US trip with one hell of a story - he accidentally drives onto a US Navy base trying to take the scenic coastal route, gets detained, and has to sign a waiver before he’s allowed to leave. Trottie, predictably, has questions.

Once the golf talk kicks in, the lads get into why the Spanish and French Opens drew stronger fields than the British Masters, the ongoing confusion around the PGA Tour’s restructuring and the vanishing World Golf Championships, and a genuinely interesting debate on whether Saudi money has helped or damaged sport as a whole, golf included.

The back half is a full “overrated/underrated” session covering training aids, club fitting and spin rates, attending a LIV event in person vs. watching on TV, the credibility of the world rankings, the rise of YouTube golf, and whether Women’s TGL should’ve been a mixed event from the start. Oh, and Trottie’s Pebble Beach birdies get mentioned. A lot.

  5. YOU'VE BEEN SHAFTED!!! | Dope Stroke Podcast Show #92

    Show notes

This week, Dazzler, Trottie and Bubs are joined by Rhett Taylor, Marketing Director at KBS Golf Shafts, as KBS officially plants its flag in the UK with a new office inside the Rocket Yard building.

They break down the Kenny Perry story that first put the red KBS label on the map, why Jason Day's switch to graphite is shifting how tour players think about shaft materials, and the stubborn, ego-driven stigma that still exists between steel and graphite - even though the performance gap barely exists anymore. Rhett pulls back the curtain on how shaft marketing actually works (and why KBS can't pay pros to play their gear), while Trottie shares a genuinely brilliant story about DJ's putter grip paranoia and explains why putter shafts might be the most underrated piece of kit in the bag.

Whether you're a serious equipment nerd or just curious what's actually inside your clubs, this one's worth the listen.

  6. Bryson's Gone Too Far? | Dope Stroke Podcast Show #91

    Show notes

The Presidents Cup had every chance to be different this year. The Internationals led heading into Sunday singles - and then the USA did what the USA always does, closing it out for yet another win. Dazzler, Trottie and Bubs break down how it happened, the controversial call to leave JJ Spaun out of the team in favour of rookie Jackson Koivun, and why an event with this little unpredictability might be struggling to hold anyone's attention outside of the USA.

The lads also get into Bryson DeChambeau's growing YouTube empire - stunts, influencer collabs, and hitting balls over his own house - happening in the same week as one of golf's biggest team events. Smart long-term business move, or a step away from being taken seriously as a major champion? Trottie makes the case for both.

Plus: a genuinely unbelievable (and allegedly true) story from Trottie's time working at The Belfry involving legendary coach Mac O'Grady, and the lads draft their all-time golf Royal Rumble - who's surviving longest, who's getting thrown out first, and who the unlikely sleeper pick might be.

  7. The President's Cup Is Rubbish | Dope Stroke Show #90

    Episode 90

    Show notes

Team USA have won 10 Presidents Cups in a row. Dazzler and Bubs ask whether the event is even worth watching anymore - and pitch a mixed-team replacement that might actually work.

Also this week: the best week the DP World Tour has had all year at Wentworth, the emotional scenes behind JJ Spaun's win, a caddy who quit mid-round without telling his player, and the AI golf account fooling half the internet.

  8. LIV Golf Is Finished | Dope Stroke Show #89

    Episode 89

    Show notes

LIV Golf has filed for Chapter 11 - but what does that actually mean for players like Jon Rahm, Phil Mickelson and the caddies who never make headlines? Daryl breaks down bankruptcy protection, creditor priority, and why some players are about to get burned while the big names walk away clean.

We also get into Shane Lowry's "they deserve to be hit" comment at the Irish Open and whether the outrage matches what actually happened, the Solheim Cup result and why the atmosphere didn't translate on broadcast, and just how far Ryder Cup teams have gone to gain an edge over the years.

Daryl, Trottie and Bubs are all in the same room for this one - full studio tour included.

  9. Is Charlie Woods Overhyped? | Dope Stroke Podcast Show #88

    Episode 88

    Show notes

Just Dazzler and Bubs this week (Trotty's AWOL again, four minutes' notice as usual) - and it's a loaded one.

We open with the conceded-putt controversy from the Walker Cup: Team GB&I nick it by a single point, but not before a US player picks up a ball that was never actually given. Is that gamesmanship or a straight-up rules breach? We drag up the 2015 Solheim Cup (Alison Lee / Suzann Pedersen) for comparison and land on very different sides of it.

Then it's Solheim Cup predictions, the Cam Young golf ball loophole that might already be breaking the distance rollback before it starts, and - because we can't not - one more round on the Good Good x Callaway fallout and why Dazzler thinks Callaway's PR handling has been a disaster.

Number 1 golf podcast in Switzerland. Just saying.

  10. CALLAWAY BLEW IT | Dope Stroke Podcast Show #87

    Episode 87

    Show notes

Callaway ditches GoodGood, Scottie Scheffler's PGA Tour earnings just passed Tiger Woods, and John Rahm's LIV payday is edging toward $400M.

Plus: the "trenching" scandal golfers don't want you to see, a Victor rules controversy, and a stadium flyby that nearly ended in disaster.

  11. Good Good, Bad Look | Dope Stroke Podcast Show Episode #86

    Episode 86

    Show notes

Dazzler, Trottie and Bubs are back and it's a loaded one. Rory McIlroy just torched LIV players in public - and Scottie Scheffler basically called him out for it. We break down the motive nobody's saying out loud.

Then Good Good and Callaway's pulled ad - the one where a guy shoves a woman out of the way for a driver - and why we think this hurts pro golf more than it hurts either brand.

Plus: the Sean Norris divot penalty that makes zero sense, LIV Golf's funding "rescue" that isn't what it looks like, and a preview of this week's British Masters at the Belfry.

No filter, no PR spin, no playing it safe - just three guys who've worked inside the industry saying what everyone else is tiptoeing around.

  12. Why Scottie Scheffler Waited Months To Change His Driver | Dope Stroke Podcast Show #85

    Episode 85

    Show notes

Scottie Scheffler finally switches drivers and wins big - Trottie breaks down exactly what goes on behind the scenes at TaylorMade to get a driver like that in a major champion's bag, and why some players fight it for months. Then we get into LeBron James dropping a golf YouTube channel with 1.5M views out the gate - and why that does more for "growing the game" than every USGA campaign combined. Bubs and Trottie also go to war on the handicap system (it needs to be scrapped, fight us), college golf vs the Asian Tour route for young pros, and Trottie's insane story caddying with the Pop Stroke national champion who read greens like he had x-ray vision. Oh, and mini golf gets formally banished from the sport.

🔥 THE DOPEST MOMENTS FROM THIS SUMMER 🔥

10 episodes. One podcast. Zero filter.

This summer on Dope Stroke: we talked AI replacing coaches (and why the in-person experience becomes the premium play), why saying NO to opportunities is the real career flex, the Michael Block meltdown nobody's explaining properly, the DJ/Bryson double standard that proves rules officials are picking favourites - plus a TikTok "coach" getting exposed live and a training aid that nearly took out Trottie's nipple.

Golf talk. Business talk. Straight talk. This is what you missed.

  14. Women's Open Controversy: Official COST Her The Major | Dope Stroke Podcast Show #83

    Episode 83

    Show notes

Bubs is on holiday, so it's Dazzler and Trottie carrying the show this week. Trottie talks about a US member-guest chip-off that descends into a forty-person standoff after a kid turns round when he shouldn't. Someone nearly gets disqualified, and Trottie almost tells the wrong guy to go back to Oregon. From there it's straight into a long drive bracket where he draws the section he privately calls the Thug Group, finds forty extra yards on the range by accident, and somehow makes the final off a driver he wasn't even planning to use.

The boys talk about how a rules official's leg turns a playable lie into a gorse bush at the Women's Open, and they ask the question golf keeps avoiding: when the same kind of moment keeps swinging tournaments away from certain players, is that still just bad luck? Trottie takes it back to Costantino Rocca and John Daly to make the point.

Infantino's under fire for World Cup ticket prices that would bankrupt a family of four, and the guys ask plainly how much money is ever enough.

Plus: Nelly Korda's 66-degree wedge and why she won't hit a shot that doesn't draw, Dazzler falling asleep in the Augusta grandstand after a self-inflicted food poisoning disaster, Charlie Hull's scratch card prank, and the Wilson 8802 tape story Trottie still won't let die.

  15. Is Golf Rigged? DeChambeau's Penalty, VAR and the Open Controversy | Dope Stroke Podcast Show #82

    Episode 82

    Show notes

This week on the Dope Stroke Podcast Show, Bubs, Dazzler and Trottie tackle the fallout from last week's Bryson DeChambeau penalty debate, and the Instagram pile-on that followed. The guys revisit the core question they were actually asking: if a penalty only gets assigned because five zoomed-in cameras were trained on one player, is that a level playing field?

Using DJ's controversial 2016 US Open ruling as a case study, Bubs breaks down why the same infringement gets punished for a leader under the microscope but waved through for a player mid-pack with no cameras on them at all, and what that means for how golf polices its own rules.

The conversation opens out into a wider debate: should video evidence overturn what's decided in the field of play? What happens if this scrutiny hits a player standing on the 18th tee with a two-shot lead on a Sunday? And is golf's rulebook ready for an era of total video coverage?

Plus: the guys react to the DMs and comments accusing them of wanting killers released from prison (yes, really), Trottie explains why he's been keeping his opinions in check lately, and a quick-fire debate on the worst cheating moments in sport history.

All that, plus aim point etiquette, spike marks on the greens, and why a kid on his third pro start just won a tour event, on the number one golf podcast in the Ivory Coast.

Is the PGA Tour five years too late? Did they really miss the armada, or the whole flotilla?

Plus, how does a fitter actually break into tour-level work, is LIV cooked, and why does Trottie think they've only got a leaky dinghy compared to Grant's three aircraft carriers? Buckle up.
