The First To Go! Episode 3: Sinners with Courtney Theophin
Season 1, Episode 3
Show notes
Episode 3: This week we’re joined by filmmaker, writer, director, comedian, and online personality Courtney Theophin to dig into the blood-soaked, music-fueled horror hit Sinners.Directed by Ryan Coogler, Sinners (2025) stars Michael B. Jordan as twin brothers Smoke and Stack, who return to their Mississippi Delta hometown in 1932 to open a juke joint. Opening night draws a crowd, including Sammie (Miles Caton), a young blues guitarist whose music seems to reach beyond the living. Soon, something hungry is waiting outside in the dark, and it wants in. Equal parts vampire thriller and love letter to the blues, it’s a story about family, faith, and the price of a good time. Then it’s game time! Inspired by the movie, this week’s game is “Don’t Invite Me In,” a game of improv scenarios. Tune in to find out who will be “The First to Go!”

Undertone with Lina Cooper
Season 1, Episode 2
Show notes
Episode 2: This week we’re joined by Lina Cooper, pop rock artist, producer, and musician, to dig into the creepy new horror film Undertone.
Directed by Ian Tuason in his feature debut, Undertone (2025) stars Nina Kiri as Evy, co-host of a paranormal podcast. Home alone with her dying mother in a nearly empty house, Evy gets a batch of mystery audio files to review for her show. Bad idea. The more she listens, the weirder the sounds get, and soon she suspects something is crawling out of the recordings and into her real life. One woman, one house, and a whole lot of unsettling sound add up to a slow-burn story about grief, isolation, and the things that go bump (and whisper, and hum) in the dark.
Then it’s game time! Inspired by the movie, this week’s game is “Don’t Play That Tape,” a game of scenarios. Tune in to find out who will be, " The First to Go!"
