  1. Scars Of Dracula

    Show notes

According to IMDb, "A young man is murdered while spending the night at Count Dracula's castle, prompting his brother to come to the small town where all the traces end to look for him."

Join the lads as Philip attempts positivity, Smokey discovers a new love for a vampire monkey and Cev finds a fitting addition to the trophy cabinet.

  10. The Lost Continent

    Show notes

Mirroring the release of The Devil Rides Out and The Lost Continent, Cev's piloting this one a week later and with Adam already overboard, it looks like the whole crew are in for some choppy waters!

Philip does the decent thing and takes to the library while Smokey attempts to anchor all the proceedings in the crew room below decks.1968s The Lost Continent features a dizzying array of dottiness that has ensured it has as many lovers as it does haters. Batten down the hatches, this could be rough and a bit saucy.

Upon its UK release in July 1968, The Devil Rides Out did not exactly set the world on fire and did even worse when it made it to the US, but sometimes the world simply needs time to catch up with art. Now it's generally considered to be one of the crown jewels of Hammer although opinions may still differ to this day...

Adam is the ringleader in this Circus Maximus of an episode that covers a certain Sir, Satan, Scribbling, and Skateboarding.

Sometimes Hammer Films were the cutting edge of film making and others definitely facing the wrong way. It's always handy to look at where the studio fitted in the surrounding film landscape.

As such, Cev's here to assess their late 50's comedies, mostly focusing on 1958.
