  1. K&F Show #382: Halloween Bonus! // Dukes Review – S3E3 “The Hazzardville Horror”

    Season 9, Episode 2382

    Show notes

Happy Halloween! Rob, Corndog, and Bernie are digging into the archives for a special audio-only bonus episode featuring our 2024 review of “The Hazzardville Horror.” It’s a little Scooby-Doo, a lot of Hazzard County, and absolutely no reason to let Boss Hogg handle your precious silver.

When Mary Lou Pringle returns to sell her inherited family mansion, a pair of crooks uses spooky sounds and moving furniture to hide a stolen-silver operation. Bo and Luke investigate, Boss and Rosco blame the Dukes, and the General Lee does what it does best: fly!

We revisit the famous pond jump, the General Lee’s tire-track “autograph” photo, guest-star connections to Dirty Harry and Planes, Trains and Automobiles, and a few filming details you might have missed. Add disappearing “Hogglooms,” spectacularly incompetent police work, and Luke struggling to get out of the driver’s seat, and this one earns ten silver bars!

This review originally appeared in K&F episode 311. We’ve added a fresh introduction for this Halloween rerelease. No YouTube episode this week—this bonus is just for your ears!

  2. K&F Show #381: Boss Hogg Moves In & Bernie Turns 66! // Dukes Review S2E9 “Witness for the Persecution”

    Season 9, Episode 381

    Show notes

Welcome back to Hazzard County—and happy 66th birthday to Producer Bernie McPartland! It’s the perfect automotive birthday for a guy whose favorite Chevelle is a ’66. We celebrate with repurposed birthday decorations, questionable snack cakes, embarrassing pictures, and birthday messages from friends including Clay Millican and Mike Finnegan. Bernie even gets a trivia game built around himself. Surely he can win that one!

This week we’re reviewing The Dukes of Hazzard Season 2, Episode 9, “Witness for the Persecution.” Boss Hogg is scheduled to testify against a notorious racketeer, and hitmen are determined to keep him quiet. Naturally, the FBI decides the safest place for him is the Duke farm. Uncle Jesse agrees to help, while Bo and Luke discover that protecting Boss might be easier than living with him. He takes Daisy’s bed, brings his own menus, and expects the full hospitality package!

The big automotive highlight is an iconic General Lee jump—the same airborne Charger shot used in the classic “The Dukes of Hazzard will continue” commercial break bumper. Corndog points out the skid plate, full roll cage, and helmeted stuntmen, along with differences between the cars used for takeoff and the airborne footage. We also try an AI-assisted look at the jumps, although its distance estimates give us plenty to question. The General isn’t the only car getting airtime, either: the bad guys’ ’67 Mercury Cougar puts on a show of its own!

Corndog revisits his original notes from our 2017 review, uncovering changing engine bays, disappearing and reappearing hubcaps, and other production details we love. There’s a sideways entrance into Cooter’s garage that might feature John Schneider behind the wheel, Cooter enjoying donuts and moonshine for breakfast, and Boss Hogg eating with sound effects nobody needed to hear quite that clearly. Uncle Jesse delivers a good lesson about helping people who have wronged you, while Bernie appreciates Luke’s ability to pick up Boss and stuff him through a vehicle window. Rob gives it 7.5 ducking dogs; Birthday Bernie goes higher at 8.75!

Before the review, Rob shares how a perfect weekend with his cars ended with the General blowing a heater hose—just as he was filming it. We also preview our SEMA plans, Bernie brings the weather and news, and Holley’s classic 650 CFM Double Pumper gets the birthday pricing treatment. We finish by letting Bernie choose the closing joke. It’s his birthday, so we have to let him!

  3. K&F Show #380: General Lee vs. The Slammer! // Dukes VIDEO Review S2E8 “Hazzard Connection”

    Episode 380

    Show notes

Welcome back to Hazzard County! This week we’re reviewing The Dukes of Hazzard Season 2, Episode 8, “Hazzard Connection,” and this one is exactly why I love Season 2. Real driving, hard hits, wonderfully sloppy production details, and a plot where stolen racing engines are apparently the criminal currency of choice. What more could you want?

Bo and Luke need to make some money, so they take jobs hauling wrecked cars for demolition derby operator Augie Detweiler. Unfortunately, those cars are carrying stolen racing engines. Boss and Rosco are already watching the operation, and the Duke boys have landed themselves right in the middle of it. Clearing their names means getting closer to Augie—and risking the General Lee against his supposedly unbeatable derby car, the Slammer!

Then there’s Tom Wopat climbing around a moving semi-trailer. That’s actually him out there! Luke also backs the Slammer off the moving trailer, years before Knight Rider made that sort of thing a regular attraction. We couldn’t help making the connection, especially with Jack Gill’s involvement in both shows.

Daisy’s Plymouth takes a genuinely painful hit from Rosco’s patrol car, a Camaro makes a fantastic jump, and Bo and Luke drive a Mustang into a pond after its brakes fail. Naturally, they drive it home afterward. Apparently, pond water fixes brakes in Hazzard County!

Corndog brings the details we love: cars reused from earlier episodes, familiar California filming locations, painted-over ’68 Charger side markers, and a General Lee with an unfinished blue interior. There’s also a cigarette pack sitting right on the dashboard during the stakeout. And when Luke is supposed to be driving the Slammer, one close-up puts him inside the General instead. Perfectly imperfect.

Before the review, we catch up on my Volkswagen tinkering, Corndog’s preparations for Cruisin’ the Coast, Cody Young’s work with Avenge Industries, and what makes a great automotive television show. Bernie brings the weather and news, we play October Automotive Celebrity Birthday Trivia, and Holley’s Dominator carburetor gives us a fitting lead-in to all those stolen race engines.

  4. K&F Show #379: Cale Yarborough Comes to Hazzard—and Three General Lees Hit the Road!

    Season 9, Episode 379

    Show notes

Welcome back to Hazzard County! This week, we start with Cale Yarborough’s famous fight after the 1979 Daytona 500 and a more recent NASCAR confrontation. That leads us into a conversation about racing, the headlines it makes, and how a new generation of drivers builds an audience through video.

Bernie takes us to Pennsylvania for the story of an early automotive tire and inner tube patent. Then Rob puts Bernie and Corndog through Automotive Celebrity Birthday Trivia, with clues from the 2005 Dukes of Hazzard movie, Ford v Ferrari, Days of Thunder, and Christmas Vacation. In the news, Bernie covers the 2026 Automotive Hall of Fame inductees, a newly announced GM diesel engine, and electrified vehicle sales in Europe. We also talk drive-by-wire pedals and swap brackets available through Holley.

Then it’s time for The Dukes of Hazzard Season 2, Episode 7, “Dukes Meet Cale Yarborough.” Cale is secretly testing a turbocharger when the Jethro brothers set out to steal it, with Boss Hogg eager to help. Bo, Luke, and Cooter step in, leading to Cale’s white Charger, a whole lot of car chases, and three General Lees on the road at once. Corndog points out the different Chargers used in filming and identifies the unlikely part passed off as the turbocharger. Rob loves every wonderfully imperfect minute of it!

  5. K&F Show #378: Don Johnson’s Lost “Six Pack” TV Pilot – Was That a General Lee?

    Season 9, Episode 378

    Show notes

Mike Finnegan sent us something that none of us had ever seen—or even heard of—before: a forgotten 1983 television adaptation of Six Pack. Intended as a pilot for a weekly series based on the Kenny Rogers movie, it starred a pre-Miami Vice Don Johnson as race car driver Brewster Baker. Markie Post, Jennifer Runyon, Billy Warlock, and a very young Joaquin Phoenix rounded out a surprisingly recognizable cast.

The real reason it landed on our radar was an orange 1969 Dodge Charger with a roll cage. Was it an actual General Lee left over from The Dukes of Hazzard, a stock car constructed by the same Georgia crew, or simply a very obvious tribute? Corndog examines the Charger’s dashboard, bodywork, roll cage, and suspicious Dukes connections before delivering his official diagnosis.

We also discuss Markie Post’s tunnel-rammed 1968 Camaro, the pilot’s six-kid pit crew, its strange mixture of family television and stock-car racing, and the final event featuring one of the most unlikely collections of race cars ever assembled. The orange Charger eventually meets its end in a spectacularly terrible “decapitation” stunt that may be worth watching the entire production to see.

Before the review, we prepare for Holley MoParty 2026, preview Nathan Warren’s incredible LS-powered Crown Victoria General Lee drift car, and help one of Dallas Kibbe’s friends determine whether a modified 2003 Mustang GT is a smart first performance-car purchase. Bernie also brings us the Celebrity Automotive Birthday Game and the award-winning news you need to know.

  6. K&F Show #377: The General Lee Comes Back From the Dead! // Dukes VIDEO Review S2E6 “The Ghost of General Lee”

    Season 9, Episode 377

    Show notes

Welcome back to Hazzard County! This week, we confirm that Days of Thunder 2 is officially moving forward and discuss whether Tom Cruise can convincingly put Cole Trickle back behind the wheel of a NASCAR Cup car. We also share an update on our uncertain Moparty plans, the people representing K&F at the event, and why my General Lee will probably remain safely at home.

Bernie brings us the latest automotive news, including California’s proposed “Leno’s Law,” the return of the NHRA Winter Nationals to Pomona, John Force’s upcoming 50th anniversary in drag racing, and Ford’s decision to use Apple Maps in its future universal EV platform. We also play another round of Automotive Celebrity Birthday Trivia, discuss six-volt lighting from Ron Francis Wiring, and highlight the MSD high-torque mini starter available through Holley.

Then we review The Dukes of Hazzard Season 2, Episode 6, “The Ghost of General Lee.” After two pool hustlers steal the General Lee and drive it into Hazzard Pond, everyone believes Bo and Luke have died. Boss Hogg immediately turns the tragedy into an insurance scam, forcing the Duke boys and Cooter to transform the General Lee into a glowing, driverless ghost car. It’s funny, surprisingly emotional, and still one of my favorite episodes from the entire series. Settle in and enjoy the ride!

  7. K&F Show #367: No CGI—Just Courage! // Dukes VIDEO Review S2E5 “Road Pirates”

    Season 9, Episode 367

    Show notes

This week on the Kibbe and Friends Show, we remember two enormous pop-culture icons, Dolly Parton and Tim Curry. Dolly’s passing leads to stories about her music, movies, generosity, faith, and universal appeal—followed by an AI-generated Dolly Parton quiz that somehow results in a perfect score. We also look back at Tim Curry’s unforgettable career, from The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Clue to Home Alone 2 and The Hunt for Red October.

Corndog then breaks down a real screen-used General Lee currently being offered for sale. Built for the 2005 Dukes of Hazzard movie, this Charger carries a massive hydraulic arm underneath that allowed it to drive on two wheels. The guys discuss its construction, ownership history, current value, and how a rough-but-authentic movie car compares with a beautifully finished General Lee replica. We also talk about Chris Harris pausing his podcast after 100 episodes, whether audio-only podcasting still has a future, and our developing plans for Holley MoParty 2026.

Then it’s time for The Dukes of Hazzard, Season 2, Episode 5: “Road Pirates.” A gang of electronics thieves disguises itself as law enforcement and begins hijacking tractor-trailers filled with televisions, radios, and everything else that passed for home entertainment in 1979. Boss Hogg pays for a load of stolen merchandise before it has even been stolen, the deal goes bad, and Bo, Luke, and temporary deputy Cletus somehow end up handcuffed together and blamed for the entire operation.

This episode may not feature as much General Lee action as we would like, but the early-series stunt work is wonderfully raw. Corndog shares rare behind-the-scenes photographs of Al Wyatt Jr. jumping from a moving semi onto the General Lee and Jack Gill launching a motorcycle over Daisy’s Plymouth. We also examine the recycled General Lee jump, Tom Wopat popping a wheelie on a dirt bike, James Best doing some real driving, and the show repeatedly switching between completely different police cars. It’s another wonderfully chaotic trip through early Hazzard County—filled with daring practical stunts, behind-the-scenes discoveries, questionable police work, and absolutely no CGI!

  8. K&F Show #375: The Dukes Meet the Mob! “The Meeting” Dukes of Hazzard Review

    Season 9, Episode 375

    Show notes

This week on the Kibbe and Friends Show, I have a new mission: save The Dukes of Hazzard! With Coyote vs. Acme finding new life after sitting on a shelf, could somebody do the same thing with the Dukes while John Schneider and Tom Wopat can still climb through the windows of a Charger? Bernie and Corndog naturally help turn my perfectly reasonable idea into something completely ridiculous.

We also talk racing after Dallas returned to Jefferson Speedway, the reborn IROC series, and a fascinating—and somewhat sad—story from Jay Chandrasekhar about working with Burt Reynolds on the 2005 Dukes of Hazzard movie. Plus, our mysterious voicemail caller asks a surprisingly good question: with new 1969 Charger bodies coming to market, could the Charger eventually become the 427 Cobra of the muscle-car kit world?

Then it's time for The Dukes of Hazzard, Season 2, Episode 4: “The Meeting.” The Chicago mob comes to Hazzard, Boss Hogg rents them the jail for $10,000, and what follows is basically Good Ol' Boys versus Goodfellas. It's pinstripe suits, limousines, cement galoshes, ridiculous disguises, Daisy distractions, mobsters under nets, and enough Looney Tunes logic to fill an entire episode.

Most importantly, this episode features the final jump of Lee 3—one of the original three General Lees. Corndog gives us the history of this very early Charger and explains exactly what happens during the jump that finally kills it. I gave “The Meeting” 9 cement galoshes, Corndog gives it an 8, and Bernie lands at 8.5. It's a wonderfully ridiculous episode of the Dukes and a packed K&F Show to go with it!

  9. K&F Show #374 - BONUS: Remembering Ben Jones – The Man Behind Cooter Davenport

    Season 9, Episode 374

    Show notes

This week we lost a true member of the Dukes of Hazzard family. Ben Jones, forever known to millions of fans as Cooter Davenport, has passed away. In his memory, we're stepping away from our regular format to revisit something we're incredibly grateful to have in the Kibbe & Friends archives: our full 2019 conversation with Ben himself.

We originally spoke with Ben ahead of the 40th anniversary of The Dukes of Hazzard, and he was everything you'd hope he would be. Funny, candid, thoughtful, opinionated, and incredibly generous with his time. He told us how he landed the role of Cooter, how the character evolved, what those early Georgia episodes were really like, his memories of John Schneider, Tom Wopat, Denver Pyle, Sorrell Booke and the rest of the cast, and even his tiny role in Smokey and the Bandit. We also talked cars, Cooter's tow trucks, the incredible stunt work, the departure and return of Bo and Luke, and the lasting phenomenon of the General Lee.

More than anything, Ben understood what The Dukes of Hazzard meant to its fans. He and his wife Alma spent decades keeping that community together through Cooter's Place, DukesFest and the enormous fan gatherings that brought generations of Dukes fans together.

Ben once told us that no matter what else he accomplished in life, he'd still be Cooter — and that was a very good thing.

    We couldn't agree more.

Rest in peace, Ben Jones. Thanks for the memories, the stories, and for always keeping Hazzard County alive.

  10. K&F Show #374: Remembering Ben Jones – “Cooter’s Girl” Dukes of Hazzard Review

    Season 9, Episode 374

    Show notes

This week’s Kibbe & Friends Show is dedicated to the memory of Ben Jones, the man who brought Cooter Davenport to life on The Dukes of Hazzard and spent decades helping keep the show and its fan community alive. Rob, Corndog, and Bernie look back at Ben’s life, his career before and after the Dukes, his time in Congress, the creation of Cooter’s Place, and the lasting impact he had on generations of Dukes fans.

For this week’s review, the guys selected an episode that puts Cooter front and center: Season 6, Episode 12, “Cooter’s Girl.” Cooter discovers he has an estranged daughter named Nancy Lou, forcing everyone to confront the difference between the wild “Crazy Cooter” of his younger days and the dependable friend and mechanic he eventually became. Meanwhile, Boss Hogg is chasing another land deal, bad guys are dumping toxic waste, Bo has somehow become a glider pilot, and the General Lee gets involved in one of the episode’s best stunts.

The guys also look back at some of Cooter Davenport’s greatest moments throughout the series—from the wild character we met in Season 1 to becoming the General Lee’s trusted caretaker and one of the Duke family’s closest friends. It all leads to an ending that feels especially meaningful following Ben’s passing, when Waylon reminds us, “Of course, we loved him all along.”

Thank you for the laughs, the memories, and all those years of keeping Hazzard County alive, Ben. Cooter, all the grateful people of Hazzard… thank you.

  11. K&F Show #373: Wayne's World Movie Review // Party On!

    Season 9, Episode 373

    Show notes

Every once in a while we take a break from Hazzard County and revisit another piece of automotive pop culture, and this week we're looking back at one of the most quotable comedy films ever made—Wayne's World. Mike Myers and Dana Carvey turned a popular Saturday Night Live sketch into a movie that defined the early '90s while giving us unforgettable characters, classic rock, and one of the most recognizable movie cars of the decade.

We discuss why the flame-painted AMC Pacer became an icon, how Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" found a whole new generation of fans because of the film, and why Wayne's World still works more than thirty years later. Along the way, we revisit memorable scenes, behind-the-scenes trivia, the 1966 Pontiac GTO driven by Benjamin Kane, and the pop culture moments that made this comedy a lasting classic.

  12. K&F Show #372: Dukes Review S2E3 "The Rustlers" – Mel Tillis & Rosco's Future Wife

    Season 9, Episode 371

    Show notes

Season 2 continues with "The Rustlers," as the Duke Boys team up with country music legend Mel Tillis to protect his prized racehorse from Boss Hogg, horse rustlers, and one crooked horse dealer. While the General Lee doesn't get as much screen time as usual, this episode delivers plenty of memorable moments—including a race between the General Lee and a thoroughbred, Uncle Jesse's now-famous climb out of the General, and Boss Hogg's hilarious attempts to impress Lulu.

In this review, Rob, Corndog, and Bernie discuss Mel Tillis' unforgettable guest appearance, the real-life story behind his famous stutter, and the surprising appearance of Dorothy Collier, who would later marry James Best and become Dorothy Best. Corndog also breaks down several production details, including one of the rare General Lees without a roll bar, continuity clues, classic vehicle sightings, and hidden details that longtime Dukes fans will appreciate.

The crew also plays another round of the Automotive Celebrity Birthday Game, Bernie brings the latest automotive news, and everyone debates one important question: Could the General Lee really outrun a racehorse? Whether you're a longtime Dukes fan or simply love classic TV and vintage muscle cars, there's plenty to enjoy in this week's review.

  13. K&F Show #371: Dodge's NASCAR Return, Ford's AI Problem, and Why "Gold Fever" Is Peak Dukes of Hazzard

    Season 9, Episode 371

    Show notes

This week on The Kibbe & Friends Show, the guys kick things off by discussing the growing rumors that Dodge could return to NASCAR competition in 2027. With new reports suggesting progress on both the race car and engine program, Rob, Corndog, and Bernie debate what Dodge's return could look like, how manufacturer-supported engines compare to the competition, and whether NASCAR has become too standardized compared to the glory days of stock car racing.

Next up is another hilarious edition of the Automotive Celebrity Birthday Game, featuring movie and television trivia from Ghostbusters, Risky Business, Apollo 13, Friends, Herbie: Fully Loaded, and more before Bernie delivers this week's news, including Ford's efforts to improve quality control, a wild Costco tequila sampling story, and a few Fourth of July laughs courtesy of National Parts Depot.

Finally, the crew heads back to Hazzard County for Season 2, Episode 2: "Gold Fever." They revisit the fake gold bar scheme, Boss Hogg's latest bad investment, the unforgettable mobile dentist, and one of the early episodes that truly established the fun, action-packed formula that made The Dukes of Hazzard a television classic. Along the way they break down Al Wyatt's incredible stunt driving, General Lee trivia, production bloopers, and the behind-the-scenes details that only lifelong Dukes fans tend to notice.

  15. K&F Show #369: The Love Bug Movie Review // The Car That Started It All

    Season 9, Episode 369

    Show notes

Disney's The Love Bug wasn't just a hit movie—it created one of the most recognizable automotive stars in entertainment history. Long before KITT, the General Lee, or Lightning McQueen, a little Volkswagen Beetle named Herbie captured audiences with personality, charm, and a racing spirit that made generations of car enthusiasts believe their own vehicles might have a soul.

In this episode, Rob, Corn Dog, and Bernie revisit the original 1969 classic that launched an entire franchise. From Dean Jones' role as struggling racer Jim Douglas to the villainous Peter Thorndyke and the practical effects that brought Herbie to life, the crew explores what made this Disney film such a phenomenon. They also discuss the movie's racing action, behind-the-scenes movie magic, and why Herbie remains one of the most beloved automotive characters ever created.

The Love Bug was a massive box office success, earning more than ten times its production budget and becoming the second-highest-grossing film of 1969. Nearly sixty years later, it still holds up as a fun, family-friendly movie that combines racing, comedy, and heart in a way few automotive films ever have. 16. K&F Show #368: The Greatest General Lee Jump? // Dukes of Hazzard S1E13 "Double Sting" Review

    Season 9, Episode 368

    Show notes

The Season 1 finale of The Dukes of Hazzard may be one of the most important episodes in the entire series. "Double Sting" takes everything that made those first 12 episodes special and blends it into the formula that would define the show for years to come. You’ve got out-of-town crooks, a clever scheme, Rosco and Boss caught in the middle of the chaos, Daisy stepping up to save the day, and of course plenty of General Lee action. Looking back, this episode feels like the blueprint for what The Dukes of Hazzard would become.

The story centers around a fake quarantine that traps nearly everyone inside the Hazard County jail while a pair of bank robbers disguised as Laurel and Hardy pull off their heist. That leaves Daisy and Cooter carrying much of the action outside the jailhouse, leading to some genuinely fun and memorable moments. Along the way, we get rare nighttime footage of the General Lee with its headlights on, plenty of comedy from the guest stars, and one of the most recognizable stunts of the entire series.

Most importantly, this episode features what may be the greatest General Lee jump of Season 1—and one that even non-Dukes fans have to admit is impressive. From the action to the humor to the unforgettable stunt work, "Double Sting" closes out the first season in style. Join us as we break down the episode, uncover behind-the-scenes details, and revisit a true Dukes of Hazzard classic.

  17. K&F Show #367: Cletus Hogg Arrives // Dukes VIDEO Review S1E11 “Money to Burn”

    Season 9, Episode 367

    Show notes

In this episode of The Dukes of Hazzard, Boss Hogg cooks up one of his most ambitious scams yet when he's tasked with turning over a million dollars in worn-out currency to be destroyed and replaced with fresh cash. Rather than follow the rules, Boss devises a plan to keep the money, collect the replacement funds, and cash in on an insurance claim at the same time. To pull it off, he recruits his second cousin twice removed, Cletus Hogg, making this the memorable first appearance of the lovable deputy-to-be who would become a longtime fan favorite.

Rob Kibbe, Corndog, and Bernie McPartland revisit this classic Season 1 episode and break down Boss Hogg's elaborate fraud scheme, the introduction of Rick Hurst as Cletus Hogg, and the impressive General Lee action that fills the episode from start to finish. The guys also discuss the unique charm of the early California-filmed episodes, including the rough-and-tumble stunt work, real driving footage, and the debut of Daisy Duke's updated Road Runner that would become a familiar sight throughout the series.

Filled with crooked politics, million-dollar schemes, moonshine mix-ups, and plenty of Hazzard County chaos, "Money to Burn" captures everything that made the first season of The Dukes of Hazzard special. It's an important milestone episode for longtime fans, not only because of Cletus Hogg's debut, but also because it showcases the grounded action, memorable characters, and lighthearted storytelling that helped turn the series into a television classic.

The Kibbe and Friends crew is back with another automotive movie deep dive, this time connecting the dots between American Graffiti, Dazed and Confused, and the entire cruising culture that shaped generations of car people. Rob, Corndog, and Bernie dig into why American Graffiti still works over 50 years later, from the unforgettable cars and soundtrack to the feeling of freedom and youth that George Lucas somehow bottled perfectly on film.

Along the way, the guys break down the similarities between John Milner and Wooderson, revisit some of the greatest cruising scenes ever put on screen, and reflect on why movies like these continue to resonate with anyone who grew up around cars, parking lots, drive-ins, and late-night bench racing with friends. There’s also plenty of the usual K&F chaos mixed in with movie trivia, George Lucas facts, Days of Thunder references, and more random automotive pop culture rabbit trails than should probably fit into one episode.

If you’ve ever spent a summer night cruising with nowhere to go, this episode is going to feel familiar in all the best ways.

    Show notes

Kibbe & Friends Show #366 revisits a classic Dukes of Hazzard episode the gang originally reviewed nearly 10 years ago — Season 1 Episode 10, “Deputy Dukes!” Before heading back to Hazzard County, the crew catches up on Corndog’s daughter graduating high school, Rob’s busy summer racing schedule with Dallas Kibbe Racing, and a surprising firsthand look at the new electric Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack. Bernie on the Weather debuts a hilarious new WKRP-inspired intro sponsored by Lexani Tires, Lionhart Tires, and Rolling Big Power Tires, while Corndog’s Tech Corner helps troubleshoot Mopar ignition problems on a 1972 Dodge Charger.

The guys also cover Hot Wheels collecting crazes, Tesla Cybertruck recalls, the upcoming Rockford Files reboot, and GM’s confusing LS6 revival before diving into “Deputy Dukes.” In this Season 1 favorite, Bo and Luke temporarily become deputies after Rosco gets suspended, only to find themselves trapped inside another one of Boss Hogg’s schemes. The crew breaks down the episode’s early-series charm, classic patrol car action, and the chemistry that helped make the Dukes of Hazzard such an iconic show.

  20. K&F Show #365: The Presidential Limo Heist // Dukes VIDEO Review S1E9 "Limo One is Missing"

    Season 9, Episode 365

    Show notes

In this episode, we review The Dukes of Hazzard Season 1, Episode 9 — “Limo One is Missing.” It’s one of those early-season episodes that perfectly captures what made the show work before anything got overly polished. The setup is classic Hazzard County: the President’s limousine rolls into town, Cooter lays eyes on it… and steals it. Not out of greed, not for profit—just because he loves it. That one decision sends everything sideways, pulling the Dukes into a situation that quickly escalates from small-town trouble into something a whole lot bigger.

What makes this episode stand out is how real it feels. This is still early Dukes, where the cars are doing the work, the stunts are practical, and everything has weight to it. The presidential limo feels massive and out of place on dirt roads, and Daisy’s yellow Road Runner—making its final appearance—gets a proper moment to shine as part of the story. At its core, it’s a simple episode about fixing a mistake and doing the right thing, with just enough chaos, humor, and car action to remind you why this show has stuck with people for decades.
