Our guest speaker this month will be former New York MUFON State Director, Christopher DePerno. Chris is a retired New York major crimes detective, decorated military veteran, and experienced UFO investigator whose distinguished career spans more than 25 years in law enforcement, military intelligence, and criminal investigations.

Cris talks about Alien-Human Hybridazation among his topics.

Born in Ithaca, New York, Chris began his career in the United States Marine Corps, where he was selected to serve with the elite Marine Security Guard Battalion, responsible for protecting American diplomatic personnel and U.S. embassies around the world. During his military service, he was assigned to Secretary of State Henry Kissinger's security detail in Sweden and received the Navy Commendation Medal for his actions while stationed in Nicosia, Cyprus. Following his Marine Corps service, Chris earned a degree in Criminal Justice and served in the U.S. Army National Guard as an Intelligence Sergeant specializing in Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical (NBC) Warfare. His responsibilities included providing military commanders with intelligence briefings concerning enemy capabilities and the potential battlefield employment of chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons. Chris subsequently embarked on a distinguished 25-year law enforcement career, beginning with the Ithaca Police Department and later serving as a detective with the Syracuse Police Department.

His assignments included the Abused Persons Unit, Rape Task Force, and Criminal Investigation Division, where he investigated and solved major criminal cases. A highly trained interviewer and interrogator, Chris also attended the FBI Academy for specialized instructor training and taught criminal investigation and other law enforcement subjects at several police academies. Throughout his law enforcement career, Chris received numerous awards and commendations, including the prestigious Medal of Valor, awarded for his courageous confrontation with an armed gunman, and recognition as Kiwanis Police Officer of the Year.

Following his retirement from law enforcement, Chris turned his investigative expertise toward the study of unidentified flying objects and unexplained aerial phenomena. Initially skeptical of UFO reports, he joined the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) as Certified Field Investigator, applying the same evidence-based investigative principles that guided his law enforcement career.

His dedication and experience eventually led to his appointment as Chief Investigator for New York MUFON, followed by his service as New York State Director, and he remains an active member of the New York MUFON team. In addition to his investigative work, Chris has been active in radio and podcast broadcasting, including hosting Project Aries, UAP Crossfire, and appearing on various programs and podcasts as a guest speaker discussing UFO sightings, investigative techniques, and the broader implications of unidentified aerial phenomena.

Drawing upon decades of experience in military service, intelligence, criminal investigations, and UFO research, Chris brings a unique perspective to the study of unexplained phenomena. She has over 1200 completed UFO investigations, with over 875 of them being MUFON sighting reports. Debbie has been a Roswell 1947 crash investigator for over 25 years and is a member of Ted Phillips’s T.P.R.C. Team.

In 2017 she was awarded both the “Roswell Incident Excellence Award” by the Roswell Daily Record, and MUFON “Field Investigator of the Year”. Debbie’s book “The Alien Colonization of Earth’s Waterways” which was released in September 2021, is A Reference Guide to UFO-USO Water Related Activity. Debbie is also a PADI Scuba Instructor and owner of Missouri Scuba Diving, LLC. She has made multiple Podcast, Conference and TV appearances, and is the author of two books; “The Alien Colonization of Earth’s Waterways”, and “The 50th Anniversary of the SE Missouri Ozarks UFO Flap” co-authored with Margie Kay.

Bob graduated from Fordham University with a B.A. in Communications with Journalism and Film Production as major concentrations. Bob recently retired from the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey after 34 years. His many duties included being an FRA licensed Rail Traffic Controller and Locomotive Engineer. While in management he was a Safety Investigator, Contract Administrator, prepared multi-million-dollar budgets, managed public relations and curated historical railroad exhibitions at a major regional transportation hub.

Bob joined MUFON in 2014 as a Field Investigator and has previously been National Director of both Spain and India and led MUFON’s Special Assignment Team. Bob has long been involved with our various special projects including MARRS, the Pine Bush, N.Y. UFO Museum, the MUFON member social network called the Observer Network and the MUFON UFO Map App. He has had numerous articles published in various UFO related magazines around the world including four MUFON Journal cover stories and he has appeared in several television series as a photo analyst including UFOs: The Lost Evidence and Ancient Aliens.

The Official MUFON Podcast Episode 34(b) - The Fight for UFO Disclosure with Captain Robert Salas

Host Richard Beckwith has a discussion with Captain Robert Salas, Keynote Speaker at this year's MUFON Symposium in Dallas, Texas on July 12 about his personal fight for disclosure.

On the night of March 24, 1967, UFOs appeared over the Malmstrom AFB missile field, with one, large, glowing red object hovering right outside and above the front gate. Within seconds, the missiles began to shut down, going into a so-called “No-go” state.

In the event we were to have a nuclear conflict, the missiles could not be launched. In the launch capsule that night was Deputy Missile Combat Crew Commander Captain Robert Salas. Captain Salas graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy and spent seven years in active duty from 1964 to 1971. He also held positions at Martin Marietta and Rockwell and spent 21 years at the FAA. In the Air Force, he was an air traffic controller and a missile launch officer as well as an engineer on the Titan 3 missiles.

He also holds a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology and a Master of Education from the University of Washington. Since that time he has worked as a safety and reliability engineer for Martin-Marietta Aerospace and Rockwell International on Space Shuttle design proposals;

He worked for the Federal Aviation Administration as an aircraft structures certification engineer, an FAA attaché to the U.S. Embassy in Indonesia, and as a mathematics teacher and tutor. In 2005 he published the book Faded Giant with co-author James Klotz which details his UFO incident while stationed at Malmstrom AFB, Montana in 1967.

In 2013, he published Unidentified – The UFO Phenomenon, providing new details on various aspects of the phenomena. He co-sponsored a press conference at the National Press Club in Washington DC where he and six other ex-military witnesses testified to the reality of the UFO incidents at U.S. nuclear weapons bases.

In May 2013, he participated in the Citizen’s Hearing on Disclosure at the National Press Club, Washington DC. On October 19, 2021, he organized a press conference at the National Press Club and spoke along with three other witnesses on UFO incursions at nuclear weapons facilities. Captain Salas has spoken at International UFO conferences in over fifteen countries, including Norway, France, UK, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Bulgaria, South Africa, Costa Rica, Peru, Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil. He has been publicly speaking about his incident at UFO conferences, radio and television since 1996.

Marianne Robb is retired with 34 years as a Police Officer in Arizona. Marianne gained her experience as a patrol officer, detective in arsons, property crimes, narcotics and as a Crime prevention officer. Marianne Joined Mufon in 2015 and became a Field Investigator.

She is an instructor for the Mufon Boot Camp and Symposium teaching Advanced Interview Techniques and Evidence Collection. What she learned from doing investigations and attending Mufon meeting, inspired her to commit to helping find the truth behind the mysterious UFO phenomenon.

Marianne believes that the government and others who are researching this phenomenon are all looking for the same thing – THE TRUTH. She hopes one day all of these research groups will work together toward the common goal of uncovering what is going on in our skies. Retired with 25 years as a Police Officer in Arizona.

Dave Rich started his career in patrol, then worked in the investigations unit as a gang detective, homicide, sex crimes and narcotics detective. Dave joined the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) and worked as a field investigator. He is an instructor for the MUFON Boot Camp and Symposium teaching Advanced Interview Techniques and Evidence Collection.
