The RB and Preher Show

Fantasy Sports, Sports

Just a couple of guys hanging out, talking fantasy football, and taking their keeper and dynasty leagues way too seriously. Each week, Robert Brookman and Matt Preher (yeah, like "prayer") break down the drama, trades, matchups, and waiver wire wins from their own leagues—and probably roast a league mate or two along the way. If you love fantasy, friendship, and the kind of banter only long-time league rivals can bring, you just found your new favorite podcast. Wise listeners welcome.

  1. Week 7: Buy the Dip- Dynasty Trades, IDP Breakouts, and Locks for Week 8

    Season 2, Episode 12

    Show notes

Would you trade a 2027 first for a player who hasn’t produced yet this year? Robert and Matt each name the player they’d spend one on in Week 7. One pick sparks immediate pushback, and one name has Matt saying “no way in heck.”

The board bets are on, and Matt is still chasing Robert in the season standings. They’re betting on a quarterback whose rushing yards have flip-flopped every single week, a receiver who keeps getting bombs thrown his way, and a rookie linebacker on a tackle tear.

In the IDP Corner, two linebackers put up some of the biggest scores of the season, cracking 70 points each. Two more are sitting on most waiver wires right now. One of them was carted off to the hospital just a week earlier.

Then comes the trade talk. A tanking league mate puts his stars up for sale, and Matt walks away with Ja’Marr Chase. Robert reveals the offers he made for Chase that got turned down, and you can decide whose deal was better.

They also kick off a brand-new mailbag segment, with quick calls on the hottest waiver adds, rookie stashes, Nico Collins’s trade value, and a round of trade grades that might surprise you.

  2. Week 6: Stop Sending Bad Trades

    Season 2, Episode 11

    Show notes

Somebody offered Jeremiah Love for Cam Skattebo. Somebody else wanted Ja'Marr Chase for a late first. Your trade deadline is coming, and Robert and Matt are here to make sure you're not the one sending those offers.

This week the guys explain how to actually get a fair trade done, and why a trade calculator shouldn't have the final say. Matt also makes the case that Green Bay's real WR1 isn't who everyone thinks it is. Plus: which of this week's IDP stars are fool's gold, a board bet battle that's tightening up, and two Week 7 locks, including a rookie projected way too low.

Grab your headphones, and maybe hold off on hitting "send" on that trade until you've listened.

  3. Week 5: Marv Heads to Houston, IDP Waiver Gems & a Round 1 Redraft

    Season 2, Episode 10

    Show notes

Robert and Matt put Week 5 in the books, starting with the Marvin Harrison Jr. trade. Was it a smart move or an overpay? They also name who they think gets moved next. Fantasy Court is in session as the guys pick the injured players they can't wait to get back, and the Board Bets return with three new lines to argue over.

In the IDP Corner, they break down the week's monster defensive performances and play Real Gold or Fool's Gold with three waiver-wire risers worth a look. Then it's a league recap full of big scores, ugly scores, and questionable lineup decisions.

Finally, the guys redraft Round 1 of a dynasty startup knowing what we know after five weeks. Does Josh Allen still go first? Who climbs, and who falls? Stick around to the end for their Locks of the Week.

  4. Week 4: More Craziness in the Leagues of Record

    Season 2, Episode 9

    Show notes

Is your league median out to get you too? Robert and Matt survive Week 4 with mostly winning records, except for one keeper league that refuses to cooperate. Which receiver who finally scored is actually worth buying? Which waiver-wire defender who just dropped 50-plus points is real, and which is fool's gold? And how much FAAB should you really spend? Plus: a told-you-so on a preseason IDP call, a fresh round of board bets with the scoreboard at 6–3, CeeDee Lamb making a defense look silly, a league-mate whose lineup might need a wellness check, and two Week 5 locks the guys are putting their names on. Grab a seat, and say a prayer for your running backs.

  5. Week 3: More Injury Woes and Matt takes the wheel of a league mate's team

    Season 2, Episode 8

    Show notes

Week 3 is in the books, and Robert and Matt are here to make sense of it. Is it time to buy low on Chase Brown? Should you sell high on Brock Purdy before his receiver room gets any thinner? And are the 3-0 Raiders actually for real, or is reality about to hit hard? Along the way, the guys place their board bets, crown a "trust fund villain," celebrate a long-awaited first win, and take the keys to a struggling dynasty team to see if it can be saved. Tune in for all that plus locks of the week heading into Week 4.

  6. Week 2: things are starting to get interesting

    Season 2, Episode 7

    Show notes

Week 2 brought even more injuries, and Robert and Matt kick things off by asking just how bad the 0-2 Buccaneers and Chargers really are. Next, they each name a Week 2 performance they're willing to ignore, Denzel Boston's hot start and Travis Etienne's ugly efficiency. Fantasy Court puts TreVeyon Henderson on trial, with you as the jury: is his breakout finally here? Then it's board bets on Breece Hall, Deshaun Watson, and Zaire Franklin, plus League in Review, where Matt's keeper team soars and Robert's supposed super team keeps sputtering. The debut of "Bull It or Bear It" puts Bryce Young, the Panthers defense, Ashton Jeanty, and Dalton Kincaid to the test. In the IDP Corner, the guys break down the week's top scorers and how much FAAB to spend on Dallas Turner, Jaishawn Barham, and Lukas Van Ness. Robert also shares research on which offenses are giving up monster IDP scores. They close with Week 3 locks on Jack Campbell and Jacob Rodriguez and a surprise return of the Vegas over/under guessing game.

  7. Week 1 is in the Books

    Season 2, Episode 6

    Show notes

Week 1 is (mostly) in the books, and Robert and Matt kick off the regular season by taking victory laps on Jacob Rodriguez and Justin Jefferson. Fantasy Court returns to put two alleged Week 1 frauds on trial, Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Omarion Hampton, and sparks the first board bet of the season. Weekly board bets are back too, with lines on Bijan Robinson, Jalen Hurts, and IDP stud Jordan Brooks. The guys debate whether the rash of Week 1 injuries to Ladd McConkey, Zay Flowers, A.J. Brown, Myles Garrett, and a handful of QBs really counts as an "injury apocalypse." In the debut of League in Review, they run through the top and bottom scorers in their three leagues, including Robert's preseason title favorite laying an egg, and name their Dorothy Mantooth Games of the Week. The new IDP Corner covers the surprising rise of defensive backs and breakout rookies Josiah Trotter, Anthony Hill, and Chris Johnson (plus CJ Allen's goose egg). They wrap up with Week 2 locks on Tetairoa McMillan and DJ Moore.

  8. The Pre-Season Awards Show

    Season 2, Episode 5

    Show notes

It's Christmas Eve for fantasy football nerds! With kickoff just one sleep away, Robert and Matt name their IDP "ride or die" players (Jack Campbell and Kyle Hamilton) and hand out their 2026 fantasy player awards. They debate Jahmyr Gibbs vs. Brock Bowers for top offensive player, go linebacker vs. linebacker with Nakobe Dean and Roquan Smith for top defensive player, and pick Justin Jefferson and Ladd McConkey as comeback players of the year. Rookie of the year picks include Carnell Tate, Sonny Styles, De'Zhaun Stribling, and Jacob Rodriguez, and breakout calls go to Bhayshul Tuten, Parker Washington, Devin Lloyd, and DeMarvion Overshown. Then the guys predict the champions and last-place finishers in three of their leagues. Along the way, they explain their unique "max points" draft order system and name the teams most likely to land Jeremiah Smith next year (sorry, Bryson and Raider Dad). They wrap with their biggest fears for the Seahawks-Patriots opener and news that the show is moving to Monday nights for the season.

  9. Keeper Draft Review & Fantasy Court with Todd

    Season 2, Episode 4

    Show notes

Football is almost here, and last year's champ Todd joins Robert and Matt to kick off the season. Each of them names his offensive "ride or die" player for 2026, with Chase Brown, Saquon Barkley, and Jayden Daniels all getting the nod. Then the guys review their now-finished keeper league draft. They break down the biggest surprises (Jonathan Brooks in round six and Matthew Stafford going ahead of a long list of QBs), the biggest reaches (Kyle Pitts in round four and Jeremiyah Love in round one), and their favorite teams to come out of it. The episode wraps with the debut of a new segment, Fantasy Court. Todd brings charges against Robert for "ruining the league" by hoarding four second-round picks and drafting extra players. Judge Matt rules on the case and hands down a fitting sentence for the league's self-proclaimed Nickname King. Plus: Robert's new team name "Todd's Nightmare," and Matt's pitch for a vampire league.

  10. Fantasy Superlatives

    Season 2, Episode 3

    Show notes

Preseason Week 2 brings bad news, as Ashton Jeanty gets carted off at Raiders practice. Robert and Matt talk through what to do with him in redraft and dynasty, why Mike Washington just became a must-have, and how to handle other banged-up players like Jeremiyah Love and Malik Nabers. Robert also brags about a lopsided trade that landed him Brock Bowers in a tight end premium league. Then it's time for the best episode of the year: league superlatives! First up is their long-running Game of End Zones dynasty league, where the awards include the Kevin's Chili Trophy, the Hoarder Special, the Eternal Bridesmaid (sorry, Levi), the Darth Vader Award, and Matt's very own Perpetual Rebuilder honor. After that, the guys hand out first-ever superlatives in their new everything-bagel IDP league, including Get Off My Lawn, No Country for Old Men, Radio Silence, Not Great Bob, the First-Round Kicker Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Uncle Rico. It's all said with love… mostly.

  11. Keeper Strategy and Talking Orphan Team Takeover

    Season 2, Episode 2

    Show notes

Preseason football is officially here, and Robert and Matt kick things off by naming the first-round picks they wouldn't touch with a 10-foot pole (sorry, Jonathan Taylor and CMC). Then it's on to their 12-team PPR keeper league, where they size up a few teams' keeper decisions and draft strategies. That includes the manager still recovering from last year's infamous CeeDee Lamb trade, the team sitting at 1.01 with Bijan and Drake Maye, and the reigning champ's CMC gamble. Robert also takes a crack at predicting Matt's picks, with less success than he expected. The back half dives into orphan teams and dispersal drafts, drawing on the guys' experience joining a long-running IDP dynasty league with a whopping 65 roster spots. Matt breaks down the three main IDP scoring systems and how each one changes who you should target, and both hosts make the case for knowing your league's scoring inside and out before you draft.

  12. Robert and Matt talk NFC teams

    Season 2, Episode 1

    Show notes

Football is (sort of) back, and Robert and Matt kick things off with Hall of Fame Game trivia before breaking down all four NFC divisions. They cover the biggest offseason moves, the fantasy players they keep drafting, IDP standouts, and their predicted order of finish. The conversation runs from Jahmyr Gibbs owning the Detroit backfield and Year 2 of Ben Johnson in Chicago, to breakout candidates Emeka Egbuka and Tetairoa McMillan in a messy NFC South. From there it moves to Matt's Cowboys deep dive and Robert's very bold NFC East pick. It wraps up in a stacked NFC West, where the guys ask whether this is the year CMC hits the cliff, talk Jadarian Price and Robert's Terrance Ferguson obsession, and weigh a possible Aaron Donald and Myles Garrett reunion in LA. Along the way are sleepers, IDP targets, and one very suspicious electrical substation in San Francisco.

  14. Everything Bagel League Draft Recap

    Season 1, Episode 28

    Show notes

We did it. We survived the Everything Bagel League startup draft, and we have the emotional scars to prove it.

In this episode, RB and Preher break down their dynasty startup draft recap for the most loaded fantasy football format known to mankind — PPR, IDP, Superflex, AND TE Premium all rolled into one glorious, chaotic, decision-paralysis-inducing draft. We call it the Everything Bagel League because, just like its namesake, it has everything on it whether you asked for it or not.

If you thought drafting for a standard redraft league was stressful, try juggling quarterback value in Superflex, elite tight end scarcity in TE Premium, defensive player rankings in IDP, and PPR pass-catcher upside — all at the same time, for a dynasty roster you'll be living with for years. Every pick feels like a math problem wrapped inside a gut feeling wrapped inside a mild existential crisis.

We walk through how the draft unfolded, which positions dominated the early rounds, how the format forced some unconventional decisions, and whether or not we came away feeling good about our squads. Spoiler: we have opinions.

Pull up a seat, pour something strong, and come hang with us as we unpack every layer of this everything bagel. It's messy, it's fun, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
