Andy took a jab at Bravo Fan Fest, Bethenny clapped back on TikTok the same night, and now the feud is in hardcover.

On this episode of The Salty Chip Podcast, Mackenzie and Isaac break down the latest round of Andy Cohen vs. Bethenny Frankel. At Bravo Fan Fest in Charleston on Saturday, Oct 24, Carole was asked about Bethenny returning to RHONY. She deferred to Andy, who said, "I'm not really active on TikTok."

That same night, Bethenny posted a TikTok clapback with the caption "i didn't hit first... I'm not a housewife but I am real." She said Andy took a swipe, that he's "still sitting in the same place I left him," and that "the only thing that has changed are the ratings." She also called his life a "stainless steel life" and warned, "If you're gonna take a shot at this B, you better not miss."

Then there's the book. In Andy's Bravo Scrapbook (out Oct 20, 2026), Andy reportedly calls the 2022 WWHL with Bethenny and Jeff Lewis "the beginning of the end" and writes that "she can dish it, but she can't take it." Those quotes come from Reality Blurb's Oct 28 excerpts, and we haven't checked them against the book. We flash back to that Dec 7, 2022 WWHL, when Bethenny said she felt ambushed and that she left Bravo on her own, and we get into Andy and Carole bringing up the "margarita lady" again on Radio Andy this week. As of Oct 30, Bethenny hadn't publicly responded to the book passage.

One Next Gen got a new season, one got a brand-new city, and one is reportedly on ice. Plus, is Riley packing up for Atlanta?

On this episode of The Salty Chip Podcast, Mackenzie and Isaac break down Bravo's Next Gen news. Next Gen NYC is officially renewed for Season 3, and Deadline reports it's already in production after a record Season 2 premiere. Bravo also ordered Next Gen Atlanta. TMZ's sources say Riley Burruss and Reginae Carter are in talks to join, though deals aren't final, and Bravo hasn't announced a cast.

Meanwhile, Deadline says Bravo's Next Gen LA test "seems to be on hold," with no reason given. We go through the reported Season 3 NYC cast changes (unconfirmed), the reported Next Gen ATL cameras at Sir Julien's party, everything reported about the LA version over the past year, and the theories about why it stalled. The theories are speculation, and we label them that way.

A tipster says a McBee Dynasty star kept her around for two years and called his marriage "strictly for the show." Every word of it is alleged.

On this episode of The Salty Chip Podcast, Mackenzie and Isaac go through our three pinned blind items, No. 717, 718 and 719. An unverified tipster claims Jesse McBee kept her around for about two years, that they met up in Texas, Nashville and Vegas, and that he called his marriage to Alli "strictly for the show" and said he tried to call off the wedding. None of this is confirmed, and we haven't seen any response from Jesse or Alli McBee.

We also lay out the verified public timeline next to the tipster's claims: the October 19, 2024 wedding that aired as the Season 2 finale, Jesse saying they already knew the baby was a girl before the wedding, and daughter Summer Leigh's birth on April 17, 2025. The tipster's claim about the baby's timing isn't supported by any public source. We're clear about what's on the record and what's only alleged.

One black eye, four years, four different stories. And at Bravo Fan Fest this weekend, the crowd reportedly booed version four.

On this episode of The Salty Chip Podcast, Mackenzie and Isaac walk through every version of Heather Gay's RHOSLC black eye story. It started on the Season 3 San Diego cast trip with "I think we all know what happened." At the Season 3 reunion it became "I blacked out." In the Season 4 finale and reunion she said she knew she got it from Jen Shah and lied to protect her, which Jen has denied. Now, per Reality Blurb's account of a fan-filmed clip from the Fan Fest panel in Charleston, Heather says she and Jen are "gonna have to like figure it out, who did it to me at what time and what place."

We put the four versions side by side, revisit the security footage Bravo aired at the Season 4 reunion, and get into Meredith calling out Heather on WWHL and Jen's "is it finally time to talk about that black eye?" post. Jen hasn't given a new account. We haven't seen official footage of the panel, so the booing is reported, not confirmed.

On this episode of The Salty Chip Podcast, Mackenzie and Isaac break down the bombshell Tia Glover is bringing into Real Housewives of Potomac Season 11. It's day two of filming, and Tia says she found out her husband Rob has been on dating apps. For about a year. She says that when she confronted Rob, his explanation was that "he was just bored, looking for some attention," and that he admitted it had been going on for about a year. Thirty-five years ago, Kim Richards' fiancé was shot in front of a lunch crowd, and prosecutors called it a paid hit. On this episode of The Salty Chip Podcast, Mackenzie and Isaac go deep on the 1991 murder of John Collett. In October 1991, Kim was 27 and engaged to Collett, a 29-year-old securities broker from Agoura Hills. He was a former stereo salesman who had been sober for eight years, he drove a Porsche, and according to his mom, he told Kim he'd been in love with her since he was 10 years old. His sister said it was "like a fairy tale."

We break down the Parker Bryant investment scandal that was swirling around him at the time. The California Department of Corporations filed a civil suit naming six defendants, Collett among them, alleging that up to 8,000 investors lost about $140 million in partnerships sold by the LA firm. An attorney for about 1,200 investors called Collett the scheme's "star salesman." These were allegations only. Collett's own lawyer called him "simply a salesman," he was never criminally charged, and he died before the civil case was resolved.

Then the murder itself. Around 1:30 PM on October 28, 1991, outside Brent's Deli in Northridge, a gunman talked with Collett for several minutes, put him in a headlock, and shot him in the back of the head. He didn't take Collett's cash or phone. A witness wrote down the getaway car's plate, and police traced it to Marva DeCarlo Johnson, a Pasadena computer technician with no criminal record. A business associate testified that hours after the shooting, Johnson said he'd been paid $30,000 "for a job." Johnson pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in 1993 and was sentenced to 30 years to life. The prosecutor wrote in court papers, "The killing was a paid hit," but refused to speculate on who hired Johnson because no evidence about a mastermind was ever presented.

We also cover Johnson's changing stories at his parole hearings, including his self-defense claims, which the parole board rejected when it denied him parole in 2015. We get into what's still unknown: who paid for the hit, who drove the getaway car, and whether the murder had anything to do with the fraud case. Police found no link in 1991, and prosecutors reportedly denied a connection. We walk through the theories that have circulated, and we're clear that they are only theories. Nobody has ever been publicly named or charged with ordering the killing. We close with Kim's side, including her emotional words on Dr. Phil in 2015: "There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about him." We're wishing Kim and John's family peace.

RHONY's billionaire newbie has been on our screens for about a month, and someone from her past is already claiming she was the mean girl. On this episode of The Salty Chip Podcast, Mackenzie and Isaac break down the bullying allegation against Erika Hammond. A TikTok creator named Hannah Stella claims she and Erika attended St. Louis school in Waco, Texas, for one semester of seventh grade, and that she had to transfer schools because Erika allegedly bullied her so badly. Hannah hasn't said what the alleged bullying involved, and she says she doesn't plan to. She says it happened about 20 years ago, that she has no beef, and that Erika is probably really nice now. As of October 10, Erika had not responded publicly. This is one person's account and it hasn't been verified, so we're treating it as an allegation.

The twist is the casting angle. Hannah says that when the RHONY reboot was first being cast, someone at Shed Media DMed her, and she filmed a casting tape but wasn't picked, while Erika eventually was. In her words, she could have had "a confrontation with my middle school bully on Bravo television and then had Andy Cohen ask us about it." We ask whether a seventh-grade story matters 20 years later, and whether it changes how we watch Erika this season.

Then we bridge into what RHONY fans are saying about Erika right now. In Episode 5, "Trouble in Paradise," Erika took the cast to Moskito Island in the British Virgin Islands, and Daisy and Erin Lichy were caught bad-mouthing the accommodations. Daisy said Martha Stewart would think it was a "dump," and Erin was mostly mad about the pull-out couch. Erika called Erin's follow-up apology "a fake apology." Halle Berry is back in the headlines, and not because of a Kendrick Lamar lyric. On this episode of The Salty Chip Podcast, we break down Olivier Martinez’s October 1, 2026 court filing accusing the Oscar winner of physically abusing their 12-year-old son, Maceo, during a September 26 incident at her home. Martinez alleges Berry pushed Maceo during a VR game, called him “so stupid” and “such an idiot,” then jumped on him, put her hands around his neck, and choked him while shouting, “Who’s dominant now? Who’s dominant?” He says their son called him in a panic and asked to be picked up, and that Berry’s fiancé, musician Van Hunt, helped Maceo get his bags to the car. Martinez also claims this was not the first time, alleging Berry, who has MMA training, has repeatedly put Maceo in a chokehold until he tapped out and has slapped him at least twice. He is asking for sole legal and physical custody, a stay-away order, and sobriety testing. A judge issued a temporary order limiting Berry to daytime visits with no overnights ahead of an October 16 hearing. Berry has not given a personal interview. Her attorney, Marina Beck, told the Los Angeles Times and People the filing is entirely meritless and deliberately misleading, and accused Martinez of a documented history of erratic, possessive, and violent behavior. We also get into the long divorce, the $8,000-a-month child support deal plus 4.3% of income above $2 million, the texts Berry allegedly sent the next day, and why both sides look messy.

Then it’s salty Bravo news. Real Housewives of Dallas and Real Housewives of DC were left off Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th, the 20-year anniversary trip. Bravo is now reportedly paying Housewives $30,000 to $40,000 to stay off social media while their seasons air so nothing gets spoiled. We talk Future Housewives with Ariana Madix, the Milania Giudice airport meltdown and the claim it was filmed on a counselor’s Meta Glasses, Captain Lee saying a week on a Below Deck Mediterranean mega yacht usually runs about half a million dollars, and Andy Cohen paying a babysitter $30 an hour for two kids in New York.

Crime Junkie built one of the biggest true crime podcast empires in America. Now Ashley Flowers and AudioChuck are facing canceled hits, CEO turnover, cratering employee morale, and a $20 million lawsuit that accuses the company of shorting its own hosts. This recap breaks down how a family-run show that started with $13,000 in savings became a cautionary tale about key man risk, venture capital, and what happens when the host IS the business.

In June, Crime Junkie canceled The Deck, AudioChuck’s No. 2 show, even though it was pulling more than 300,000 downloads a week. Ashley said it was not about the numbers. Her daughter told her she worked too much, replacement hosts did not pass, and she told staff nobody was taking the company from her cold dead hands. That is classic key man risk: the audience wants Ashley in the chair, not a network of interchangeable shows. Kill it clean instead of watching the numbers drop 90 percent. Hard call. Probably the right one.

The history is wild. Crime Junkie launched in 2017 with Ashley Flowers and best friend Brit Prawat. Early episodes were two friends talking cases they researched online. Two years later they were a top-five U.S. podcast. AudioChuck was a family shop: husband as CFO, siblings on staff, Brit’s husband writing the jingles. Then scale hit. A performance-based SiriusXM deal reportedly worth up to $50 million a year. An ex-VC consultant turned CEO. A 2023 partnership to chase male audiences with limited series, including a request for a Hawaii helicopter shoot on an audio-only show. Ashley ended that partnership. Kevin Mills was out in 2024. Chernin put in $40 million for a minority stake in 2025 as Hollywood chased a TV and video version of the brand. Reports put a Fox/Tubi package around $150 million. Matt Starker came in as CEO and was out by June 2026, replaced by former SoulCycle CEO Evelyn Webster.

Meanwhile the product machine got squeezed. Staff dropped from about 100 to around 70. Employee satisfaction cratered. When The Deck died, the people on that show were gone with it. That is the private-equity pattern the hosts keep coming back to: maximize the take, loot the lettuce, and leave a corpse if you have to.

The live grenade is the Anatomy of a Murder lawsuit. The show launched under AudioChuck in October 2020, ran 250-plus episodes, and approached 200 million downloads. Hosts Anna-Sigga Nicolazzi and Scott Weinberger, through Forseti Media and Weinberger Media, sued AudioChuck for breach of contract and breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing. Core claim: they did not get their contracted share of the SiriusXM ad deal. The suit says AudioChuck took the upside while the hosts ate lower payments and extra restrictions. They want at least $20 million.

The numbers in the complaint are ugly. Their share was about $73,579 in December 2021, the last month before SiriusXM. It fell to $24,963 in January 2022 and $37,516 in February 2022 even though downloads stayed steady and AudioChuck had a minimum guarantee. AudioChuck has argued the SiriusXM deal was restructured and the company’s own take dropped. Then came the Zoom moment: a spreadsheet allegedly flashed on a call showing AudioChuck deducting its own talent-agency fees from money that should have been split with the hosts. The company first denied it, then conceded when shown the paperwork and repaid that piece. As of late September 2026 the case is in discovery. The hosts are not talking publicly. Discovery and depositions are going to be messy.

Then there is George Santos. The expelled, convicted, later pardoned former congressman walked in calling himself a nuclear football, and the directing staff treated him like one. He actually passed the helicopter jump, then could not get onto the dock, rolled back into the water, and became the recruit they decided to break. The episode also dragged his 2022 campaign-finance circus: Hermes, Ferragamo, Botox, OnlyFans, fake personal loans, and money running through a super PAC. He tried to dress it up as "misappropriating funds." The instructors were not buying it. Whether he taps because they will not speak to him with respect or somehow lasts is the season question.

RHONY Season 16 is officially back and The Salty Chip Podcast is diving into all the messy new-season drama from The Real Housewives of New York City. She can date women, she cannot date other men, she keeps a NYC pied-à-terre, and the island is small enough that viewers are already trying to unmask him. Add the Gosselin questions and this newbie is not easing in quietly.

Jessel is still the household breadwinner and not impressed that Pavit’s food blog looks more like a hobby than a job while the twins are in preschool. Then she detonates brunch by asking Carole Radziwill if Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy was a bitch and whether the Kennedy family is cursed. Carole, who lost her husband, her best friend, and JFK Jr. in a three-week span in 1999, looks stunned, says she needs a nap, and walks out. Jessel later called it innocent curiosity. The table did not.

Sai De Silva’s picture-perfect marriage story collapses fast. Russell is nowhere, the daughter is not filming, and Sai admits she was living a lie: she is the breadwinner, he has not worked in years, and the “he sold his business and retired” line was spin. After coming for Jessel’s marriage last season, Sai and Jessel are suddenly closer while Sai’s whole life looks like it imploded off-camera.

Newcomer Erika Hammond, the WWE-to-Equinox pipeline Housewife married to Bilt Rewards billionaire Ankur Jain, had a pyramid wedding in Egypt and still rents party dresses and teaches boxing. Daisy Toye, Martha Stewart’s makeup artist, reads her son’s 26-year-old tutor’s crush texts at brunch, hearts one of them, then acts shocked anyone thinks there was flirtation after hours-long post-tutoring chats. The other women clock it as Gabby Solis energy. Sai, Daisy’s longtime BFF, is already side-eyeing it on camera and hinting at a fallout.

Carole Radziwill’s full-time return after eight years brings the Epstein files, Ghislaine Maxwell photos, and the claim she never met Jeffrey Epstein even though they ran in the same circles. Erin tries to smooth it as “elite party overlap.” Sai looks ready to press it all season.
