The Definitive Guide To The Baphomet: Simon Magus, The Head of John the Baptist and The Fall of Tracy Twyman (part 4)
Season 33, Episode 8
Show notes
Send us comments, suggestions and ideas here!
In this week’s episode we wrap up everything we’ve learned so far about the Baphomet and its history as an archetype through history, esotericism and conspiracy lore. In the free side of the show we finish our discussion about the heretical practices of the gnostics, investigate the claims of who or what’s decapitated head was supposedly worshipped by the Templars and their shadowy connections to Simon Magus. In the extended show we submit ourselves to the mighty gaze of Abraxas and discover what dirty laundry he shares with the fallen angel goat demon Azazel who also lurks behind this same constellation of mysteries. In the conclusion we examine the murky world of bloodline occultism that Tracy Twymann was investigating during her demise and how it sits in relation to the even murkier world of conspiracy that leads to the darkest places imaginable. In the next episode, we’ll be applying our own occult research (led by Heka Astra) to begin understanding in earnest what the Baphomet represents from a pre-Abrahamic perspective. Thank you and enjoy the show.
On the free side of the show we discuss:
• Gnostic sects who thanked the serpent and treated the creator as the enemy
• The whore-holy wisdom of Thunder, Perfect Mind
• Whose head the Templars really kept on the altar
• Simon Magus, the ram swap, and the three-day rising
• Libertine rites and the New DionysusIn the extended show available at https://www.patreon.com/TheWholeRabbit we continue further down the rabbit hole and discuss:
• Abraxas: the rooster-headed god
• Azoth, the A-to-Z universal fire of the Alchemists
• Azazel’s garment swap, the scapegoat, and the Lilith-Samael union
• Cathar consolamentum and the Book of Baptism by Fire
• Tracy Twyman’s Dragon Court years and the end of the trail…Where to find The Whole Rabbit:

Season 33, Episode 7
Show notes
Send us comments, suggestions and ideas here!
In this week’s episode we break on through to part 3 of our totally exhaustive, in-depth guide to the Baphomet where we discover the Islamic version of our favorite Hermetic super heroes and the secret identity of Enoch who is mythologized as the first man to use writing, built the pyramids and preserved esoteric wisdom for the generations following the Great Flood. In the extended show, we do a detailed comparison between strange occult practices in various gnostic cults and trace how their mystic lineages overlapped and diverged from the rich tapestry of ancient Hermeticism as it evolved through the ages. By the end we begin to weave together a number of various threads which have only come up as puzzle pieces in former episodes. By the end of the series we promise to unveil in earnest the most authentic description of the Baphomet outside of an oath-bound secret organization and finally get to the bottom of what this figure really means. Thank you and enjoy the show!

On this week’s episode we’re joined by the full crew to continue our truly exhaustive investigation into who or what the Baphomet really is with this week’s focus falling upon the goat themed motifs in Free Masonry, the connection with big dick deities from various cultures and the surprisingly deep connection between Pan, Lilith, Medusa and Athena referring to both the Old Testament and Hesiod to find our answers. In the extended show we discuss the Green Man, The Baptism of Wisdom and the connection between Enoch, Metatron, Moses and a shadowy initiator the Arabic world refers to as the Al-Khadir. In this week’s episode we take on the heroic task of uncovering the secrets of the Baphomet, one layer at a time, covering every possible angle and hopefully arriving at the closest we can approximate for the truth about who or what this figure genuinely represents. Tim compiled research from controversial sources like the late Tracy Twyman (who famously lost her life digging into this mystery), Julius Evola (of all people) and more medieval Hebrew mystic texts to assure ourselves and you (the listener) that we have left no-stone unturned or crazy, dark rabbit hole unsearched. By the end we might even be able to show you the profound wizard stuff that you probably, NORMALLY, need to kiss or clap booties to learn about. And that’s why they hate us. We remove booty clapping from the occult education system which is technically illegal. In the free side of this show we take a cursory glance at the more interesting and colorful history of the Knights Templar, focusing on the details of their confessions in an attempt to cobble together the details of their shadowy, secret practices. By the time we arrive at the extended show we have already begun to jump into the three loving arms of Priapus and explore his connection with Baphomet, Hermes and his lesser known Arabic equivalents before arriving at the dark connection all of the above have with Samael and Lilith. “Beyond Good and Evil” by Nietzsche: THE RELIGIOUS MOOD & BLASPHEMOUS APOPHTHEGMS (Part 3)
Season 33, Episode 3
Show notes
Send us comments, suggestions and ideas here!
In this week’s episode we wrap up our deep-dive into Nietzsche's era initiating classic: “Beyond Good and Evil” by traversing chapter 3, the religious mood and a handful of his aphorisms in chapter 4; Julian the Philosopher lending historical context and depth throughout. In the free side of the show we focus on Nietzsche's criticism of Christianity and where, he believes, the proper place of religion ought to be. In the extended show we dive into Nietzsche's aphorisms and discuss both the controversial ideas of “slavery,” what that might mean in context and how if any overlap exists with Anton Lavey’s writings in The Satanic Bible. Thank you and enjoy the show!
In the free side of the show we discuss:
• Nietzsche’s “big hunt” through the history of the soul — and why a podcast is basically a trophy room for rare ideas
• Christianity as sacrifice: the surrender of freedom, pride, and self-confidence of spirit
• “God on the Cross” as the most daring inversion of ancient values — the Oriental slave’s revenge on Rome
• Religious neurosis and its three dangerous prescriptions: solitude, fasting, and sexual abstinence
• Why European theism is dying even while the religious instinct keeps growing
• Modern philosophy as secretly (or openly) anti-Christian — but not anti-religious
• The great ladder of religious cruelty: first humans, then nature, then God himself sacrificed to nothingness
• Why real religious life needs aristocratic idleness — and how noisy modern labor breeds unbelief
• The scholar as “arrogant dwarf” who thinks he’s outgrown the religious man
• Nietzsche’s real thesis: religion is a tool — a bond of command for rulers, a ladder for the ascending, and contentedness for the many — not an end in itselfIn the extended side of the show available on at www.patreon.com/TheWholeRabbitwe discuss:
• Chapter 4’s blasphemous apophthegms — Nietzsche’s clearest, cruelest one-liners
• The devil as the dumping ground for every quality we were too afraid to give God
• Memory vs. pride (“I did that” / “I could not have done that”) as early shadow work
• Character as fate, duration over intensity, and why attaining your ideal means you’ve already surpassed it

• How much of this Anton LaVey quietly lifted, restyled, and put in The Satanic Bible
• Julian’s historical context on the whole mess — plus the jokes we couldn’t leave on the free sideThis episode was crammed full of Thelema stuff by Luke but otherwise everyone presented their own stuff faithfully and is responsible for their own words.

Beyond Good and Evil by Friedrich Nietzsche: The Free Spirit... and the Thelemite? Pt. 2 (w/ Julian The Philosopher)
Season 33, Episode 2
Show notes
Send us comments, suggestions and ideas here!
In this week’s episode we continue through Nietzsche's Aeonic Philosophy as laid out in one of his all time greatest hits: Beyond Good and Evil. While the first chapter dealt with an era-shattering criticism of classical philosophy which ended upon a warning about, (having killed the old philosophies) the coming of the new philosopher or Free Spirit. As our special guest, Julian The Philosopher adds some much needed historical context and nuance to Nietzsche's words and sets us up to explore the new philosopher, the first spirit and the Ubermensch in greater depth. Who are those people anyway? Still fresh with excitement from the text, Luke (that's me) fixates on the overlap between the hazy image Nietzsche paints and the mystical poetry in Aleister Crowley’s “Book of the Law,” which outlines, in slightly more poetic fashion, a remarkably similar ideal. On the free side of the show we touch upon Nietzsche's hilarious ideas about race which, despite being a little controversial today, we can still have a good laugh about with good humor on our side. In the extended side of the show we explore the Will to Power as it is introduced in the text and how it lines up with Hadit’s words in the Book of the Law. Thank you and enjoy the show!
In this week’s episode we discuss:
Knowledge vs. Ignorance
The Elect
A Curse Upon Because
A Case Against Martyrdom
How to Tolerate Idiots
Nietzsche's Ideas About RaceIn the extended show available at https://www.patreon.com/TheWholeRabbit we let our hair down and continue to discuss:
The Privilege of the Strong
Medicine to Some, Poison to Others
Idiots Think in Absolutes (mostly)
You Cannot Trust the “Selfless”
The Sanctity of Appearance
THE WILL TO POWER
The Profound Loves a Mask
The New Philosopher and the ThelemiteThis episode was crammed full of Thelema stuff by Luke but otherwise everyone presented their own stuff faithfully and is responsible for their own words.

Beyond Good and Evil by Friedrich Nietzsche (w/ Julian The Philosopher)
Season 33, Episode 1
Show notes
Send us comments, suggestions and ideas here!
In this week’s episode we are joined by Julian the Philosopher as our special guest to discuss one of Friedrich Nietzsche's most celebrated and important works of philosophy, his book “Beyond Good and Evil.” If you’ve been following our prolonged discussion with Julian, one big question we are attempting to tackle in earnest is where does Aleister Crowley and the religion of Thelema fall within the moral spectrum found between Homer, Socrates and Fredriech Nietzsche. Because Nietzsche is considered a Thelemic saint we compare passages within Beyond Good and Evil to The Book of the Law while Julian peppers us with historical and philosophical context along with the tea about Nietzsche's utterly tortured love life. As with anytime we’re discussing anything of cosmic importance on this show, the gods try to test us and Julian's electric grid was actively being struck by Thor’s hammer throughout our discussion. This resulted in some unpleasantly low compression at times, so, we ask you to just bare with us and we’ll have it fixed next time. By the end of the free show you’ll have a pretty solid idea of where this adventure is going next time and if you want double the abuse for your brain, we finish the entirety of chapter 1 by the conclusion of the extended episode. Thank you and enjoy the show.

In this week’s episode we’re joined by Jennifer Billock, an award-winning journalist, bestselling author, and the world’s only professional cheese fortune-teller to discuss her craft, how it works and some of the intricacies of using various foods to divine fortunes with. In the first half of the show we break down exactly how Jennifer accomplishes her profound feats of divination from “noisy” cheese like a crumbling blue to almost featureless pseudo-cheese like American. After breaking down the nuance, we continue in the extended show with a real, live reading from Jennifer who examines our own cheese to divine our fortunes, demonstrating in real-time that tyromancy is definitely well beyond being just an amusing novelty and is capable of being uncomfortably profound. I’m sure you’ll want to get a reading from her after hearing this interview so check out links in the description. Thank you and enjoy the show!

In this week’s episode we take the first step on the journey through The Hero of a Thousand Faces by Joseph Campbell and discuss, with nerd-like passion, the nuance surrounding each specific stage of the hero's journey as explained in the text. For a podcast that geeks out about symbolism; it doesn’t get much more bread and butter than this. In the free side of the show we make it through the first four stages of the heroes journey: The Mundane World, The Call to Adventure, Refusal of the Call and Supernatural Aid; touching upon the variety (or lack thereof) you can expect in each stage while using mythology both modern and classic as guide posts along the way. In the extended show we discuss Crossing the Threshold, the tremendous ordeal of being swallowed within the Belly of the Whale and the laundry list of trials each hero faces on their path to either Mordor or tax season. Thank you and enjoy the show.
DISCLAIMER:
I think we need to clear up some confusion. First of all, I’m very tired. Secondly, I’m very tired. Thirdly, the book we’re studying, Hero with a Thousand Faces is by Joseph Campbell but is BASED upon Carl Jung’s ideas of the collective unconscious, the archetypes and the path to individuation by interaction with. When you’re manically alternating between exhaustion and manic excitement it's easy to get the Cs and Js confused ok?? That being said, Jung is quoted numerous times throughout the text. At this point just assume we’ve mixed up the names a number of times during this specific recording. My apologies. I'll sleep when I'm dead.In this week’s show we discuss:

In this week’s episode we explore if there is any truth behind the well loved, pop-psychology meme going around the internet the last few years detailing THE SILENT WAR; a covert struggle for the mind’s of the masses between a decentralized group of marginalized schizo-autists and a loosely affiliated cadre of enfranchised psychopathic elites: or more simply, the secret war between the schizos and the psychos - a theory that proponents claim is as old as time and offers us a new perspective on the dynamics between the hidden genius of charismatic predators who run things from the shadows and the weirdos like us who happen to notice them but can’t seem to get normal people to listen until it's too late. In the extended show we go into even deeper detail on how psychopaths manipulate the herd and some examples of exactly how it works all the way from the geopolitical stage to the work place. Primary Internet / Folk Origin• Anonymous 4chan /pol/ post, 27 November 2022, thread 406166838, post No. 406171908. (Core text of the “Silent War” meme; the document reproduces and timestamps this as the point of origin before Reddit, YouTube narrations, TikTok, and Instagram circulation.)
Clinical / Psychiatric History
• Binswanger, Kurt. Work on the “schizoide Alkoholiker” (schizoid alcoholic) personality type, circa World War I period. Swiss psychiatrist; describes a constitutional style of intense inner experience, social withdrawal, and emotional distance that sits on the milder end of what later became the schizophrenia-spectrum / schizoid personality continuum. The script treats this as an early clinical analogue of the meme’s “schizo.”
• Kahlbaum, Karl Ludwig. Description of heboidophrenia (1890s). Condition emerging in adolescence/young adulthood that primarily disturbs personality, drive, mood, and social behaviour rather than intelligence; can present with antisocial, irritable, or “psychopathic”-appearing traits that are secondary to an underlying schizophrenic process. The script uses this to illustrate clinical blending of the two poles.Literary Parallel
• Dick, Philip K. Ubik (1969). Three-class division of humanity (normies / psychics / inertials) mapped by the script onto the Silent War triad (normies / psychopaths / schizo-autists). Psychics infiltrate and commandeer institutions; inertials detect and nullify them.
Philosophical / Socio-Economic Theory
• Deleuze, Gilles & Guattari, Félix. Anti-Oedipus: Capitalism and Schizophrenia (1972). Introduction of “schizoanalysis”; desire as productive, machine-like, deterritorializing force that capitalism both unleashes and reterritorializes under profit axioms. The script reads the “schizo” figure as potentially revolutionary rather than purely pathological and notes the book’s deliberately non-linear style as proto-“schizoposting.”
Empirical Studies on Corporate / “Successful” Psychopathy
• Board, B. J. & Fritzon, K. (2005). “Disordered personalities at work.” Contrasted 39 high-level UK executives/CEOs with forensic psychiatric patients using MMPI scales; executives showed elevated “theatrical” psychopathic traits (grandiosity, superficial charm, lack of remorse) at levels rivalling or exceeding clinical samples, without the impulsive violence of the latter. Interpreted as evidence of “successful psychopaths.”
• Babiak, P., Neumann, C. S. & Hare, R. D. (2010). “Corporate psychopathy: Talking the walk.” Study of 203 management-development professionals using PCL-R / PCL:SV; elevated psychopathic traits relative to general population, high on charisma/strategic vision/communication, low on teamwork, management skill, and actual job performance.
• Landay, K., Harms, P. D. & Credé, M. (2019). Meta-analysis (92 independent samples). Weak positive association between psychopathic tendencies and leadership emergence; weak negative association with leadership effectiveness; moderate negative link to transformational leadership.Political Pathology / Institutional Capture
• Łobaczewski, Andrzej. Political Ponerology: A Science on the Nature of Evil Adjusted for Political Purposes (English editions mid-2000s; written earlier under surveillance). Central claim that pathocracy arises when a small minority with personality disorders (especially primary psychopathy, plus certain schizoid and “characteropathic” configurations) attain critical institutional influence and select for their own kind. Introduces paramoralisms, paralogic, and the gradual inversion of language and morality. Estimates essential psychopathy ≈ 0.6 % of population plus a larger “penumbra.”
• Stigler, George J. (1971). “The Theory of Economic Regulation.” Landmark essay on regulatory capture: agencies eventually serve the industries they oversee via material incentives, informational access, and cognitive/cultural capture.Double-Bind Theory
• Bateson, Gregory, Jackson, Don D., Haley, Jay & Weakland, John. (1956). “Toward a Theory of Schizophrenia.” Behavioral Science, 1(4), 251–264. Formalization of the double bind: conflicting injunctions (one negating the other) plus prohibition on meta-comment or escape; chronic exposure argued to contribute to communicative and perceptual patterns then diagnosed as schizophrenia. The script applies this directly to workplace/online dynamics in which the pattern-seer is punished for noticing the contradiction.
• Wikipedia entry on “double bind” (cited in-document for the concise definition of the communicative situation).Additional Cultural / Literary Allusions (not primary sources but invoked)
• Campbell, Joseph – Hero’s Journey structure (adapted as “The Schizo’s Journey,” stages 0–17).
• Orwell, George – 1984 (paramoral language / inversion of morality).
• Disney’s The Lion King (Scar as archetype of the successful-but-incompetent psychopathic manager). -

In the extended show we discuss the classical relationship between ghosts and dreams, the restless shades that dead Roman Emperors tend to produce, a revenant love story and what it means when the specter happens to be an enormous woman. Thank you and enjoy the show.
In this week’s episode we discuss:
Ancient Sumerian Afterlife
Roman Ghost Rituals and Ghost Holidays
Ancient Ghost Hauntings
Necromancy: Erichto of Thessaly
Ancient Skepticism: Lucian of Samosata
Pliny the Younger’s Accounts of GhostsIn the extended episode available at www.patreon.com/TheWholeRabbit we go further and discuss:

In this week’s episode we accomplish part 2 of our deep dive into the sickly yellow abyss of Kane Parson’s Backrooms to reveal the unthinkably dense amount of symbolism, mythology and religious allegory lurking just beneath the surface. In the free side of the show we discuss how Mary’s shadow can be related to The Wheel of Fortune and the Blasted Tower of the Tarot expanding on the themes already present and giving dimension to Backroom's lore outside the film. In the extended show we discuss Ivan Beck, the Red City, Odin, the Tower of Babylon, the Voyager Disk, The Qlippoth of Kabbalistic Tree of Death and even the Gnostic Demiurge because damn it, Kane Parsons go so hard with easter eggs and clever symbolism I think we may need to determine if he is actually a Moonchild created by Aleister Crowley himself. Thank you and enjoy the show!
In this week’s episode we discuss:
The Formation of the Psychological Shadow
The Wheel of Fortune
Palm Reading
Mother-Daughter Complex
The Blasted Tower
The Purpose of the Psychological Shadow
The Tower of Babel
The Red City
The Glorious Sun Face
Ivan BeckIn the extended show available at www.patreon.com/TheWholeRabbit we go further into the Backrooms than anyone else (at least I’m pretty sure) and discuss:
A Sync and Odin
Fault of Memory
The Qlippoth: Kabbalistic Tree of Death
Still-Lives
Ein Soph
The Gnostic Demiurge: Yaldabaoth
Barbelo and The Pleroma
… and more….This episode was written by Tim Hacker and Luke Madrid with additional commentaries by Heka Astra and Mari Sama

Kane Parson's "The Backrooms" Decoded: The Wheel of Samsara (level 1)
Season 31, Episode 11
Show notes
Send us comments, suggestions and ideas here!
In this week’s episode we grab our “They Live” glasses and descend down into Kane Parson’s summer blockbuster horror hit: “The Backrooms” to explore its clever symbolic use of Jungian archetypes and Eastern mysticism to create a cerebral and spooky allegory with the same narrative depth we find in masterpieces like Kubrick’s The Shining, Lynch’s Twin Peaks or Owaku’s Silent Hill 2 but with a retrowave drip that weaponizes nostalgia in a tour of the collective unconscious with obscure doorways straight into Buddhist hell. In the free side of the show we discuss Clark and the symbolism that haunts him, the Backrooms and his shadow; breaking down what it has to do with the infinite, changing and cyclical nature of the Backrooms itself. In the extended side of the show we discuss the Capn Carl, Tarot symbolism, the shadow of the retrowave aesthetic and how the Backrooms are a perfect allegory for the Bardos of the Tibetan Book of the Dead. Join us next week for part 2. That gives you a whole other week to go watch the movie before listening! Thank you and enjoy the show!
In this week’s episode we discuss:
Origins of the Backrooms
Clark Character Analysis
Water Symbolism
The Helm and the Wheel of Karma
