  1. Should Wolves Fans Be More Happy About Being 4th?!

    Show notes

Three points, a clean sheet and ground gained on the teams around us. So why did Wolves’ 1–0 win over Watford still feel harder work than it needed to be?

This week, we look back at a game Wolves dominated but couldn’t put to bed. There was plenty to like, with Jordan James impressing and Mateus Mané taking defenders on, but the final ball and finishing left us sweating over a result that should have been comfortable. Are we missing a reliable goalscorer, making the wrong decisions, or expecting too much from a team still picking up points?

We also discuss whether James and Fer López should start together, what Trippier brings to the side, and why the mood at Molineux remains so flat. Plus, we look ahead to Cardiff: can Wolves build on the win and give us a performance to feel good about?

  2. Can César Peixoto Stop The Poor Form At Molineux?!

    Show notes

Four points from two games, so why does it feel like another frustrating week supporting Wolves?

We look back at the comeback win at Burnley before getting stuck into Tuesday’s 1–1 draw with Portsmouth. Chirewa’s winner gave us something to build on, but Devlin’s late equaliser at Molineux brought back some familiar complaints. Why can’t Wolves put games away, and is César Peixoto’s assessment of the performances convincing anyone?

With Raúl Jiménez out until January and Adam Armstrong struggling with injury, we debate who should lead the line and whether Wolves have left themselves short. Plus, Fer López’s growing importance, a Watford preview, score predictions and a hypothetical rescue mission: which former Wolves striker would you bring back for Saturday?

  3. César Under Pressure & Raul Out Until 2027!

    Show notes

Two defeats, too many missed chances and now Raul Jimenez is out until January. Wolves’ return from the international break has been one to forget.

Sam, Harry and Jack look back on the 1-0 defeat at Middlesbrough and a miserable 3-1 home loss to Bolton. Adam Armstrong’s finishing, Jose Sa’s mistakes and a lack of quality out wide all come under scrutiny. Is it time for Joao Virginia to get his chance, and should Sean Neave finally start up front?

The pressure is building on Cesar Peixoto. We debate his substitutions, whether Wolves have a convincing plan B, and how much responsibility lies with the players and the club’s recruitment. There’s also a frank discussion about Fosun, supporter frustration and whether renewed protests would help.

Plus, the latest injury updates on Jimenez, Rodrigo Gomes, Bertrand Traore and Boubacar Traore, followed by a Burnley preview, our proposed team changes and score predictions. We finish with a brief trip to China, where two balls ended up in the same net.

  4. Reflecting On WBA Win And Our Thoughts On The Krejci Situation

    Show notes

The Black Country bragging rights belong to Wolves.

Sam, Harry and Jack relive the 1-0 win over West Brom at Molineux, with Fer Lopez punishing Nat Phillips’ mistake to settle the derby. From the pre-match nerves to the celebrations, there’s plenty to enjoy about a performance that deserved more than a one-goal margin.

We discuss Andre’s midfield masterclass, Nasser Djiga’s growing influence, Toti’s impressive return and the difference Kieran Trippier makes. There’s also the Jordan James penalty shout, some nervy final minutes and a debate over who deserves man of the match.

Attention then turns to Ladislav Krejci’s absence and the questions raised by the manager’s post-match comments. Was something lost in translation, and what happens next?

Plus, Wolves’ international call-ups, England selection and Morgan Gibbs-White, a first professional deal for Jerome Abbey, the debate over moving away fans at Molineux, and the cancelled fan-group meeting. We finish with The 77 Club’s upcoming charity tournament appearance at Compton in support of Wolves Foundation.

  6. Thoughts On Traore Deal & That Jackson Own Goal!

    Show notes

Jackson Tchatchoua’s astonishing own goal has gone viral. Unfortunately for Wolves, it also helped turn a winning position into another chaotic result.

Sam, Harry and Jack dissect the 2-2 derby draw at Birmingham City. Fer Lopez gives Wolves another flying start, Jay Stansfield responds with a thunderbolt and Ladislav Krejci marks his return to the side with a bullet header.

Then comes the moment nobody can quite explain. Was Jose Sa partly responsible for Tchatchoua’s extraordinary own goal, or does the blame rest entirely with the defender? The team also discuss Wolves’ worrying habit of collapsing when momentum turns and Adam Armstrong’s golden opportunity to win the game.

Attention then turns to Sunday’s trip to Sheffield United. Should Pedro Lima replace Tchatchoua? Has Krejci done enough to keep Toti Gomes out? And is it finally time for Jordan James to start?

There is also reaction to Bertrand Traore’s arrival on a free transfer, Santiago Bueno’s omission from the EFL squad and Cesar Peixoto’s call for VAR in the Championship. Plus, the team attempts to name Wolves’ worst XI of the past 20 years.

  7. Our Thoughts On Deadline Day & Krejci NEEDS To Start!

    Show notes

Wolves scored six goals across two games, but deadline day has left supporters with plenty of questions.

Sam, Harry and Jack begin with the 4-1 win over Stoke City as Rodrigo Gomes’ quick-fire double turns the game around, Raul Jimenez keeps his nerve from the penalty spot and Jordan James makes another strong case for a starting place.

Attention then turns to the chaotic 4-2 defeat at West Ham. The team discuss Wolves’ electric opening, another defensive collapse and whether Ladislav Krejci and Santiago Bueno must now replace Toti Gomes at the back.

With the transfer window closed, Harry and Jack deliver very different verdicts on Wolves’ business. Did the club underdeliver on its promises, or does keeping players such as Krejci, Bueno, Andre and Mateus Mane make this a strong Championship squad? There is also reaction to Sean Neave’s arrival and the departures of Hwang Hee-chan, Sasa Kalajdzic, Sam Johnstone and Joao Gomes.

Finally, the team preview Sunday’s trip to Birmingham City, debate whether Krejci and Jordan James should start and make their score predictions.

  8. Wolves Win 2 Away Games IN A ROW!

    Show notes

Wolves have remembered how to win away from home.

Sam and Jack react to back-to-back away victories after Wolves followed up a 3-1 league win at Preston with a 2-0 Carabao Cup victory over Sheffield Wednesday.

Fer Lopez takes centre stage after his brilliant brace at Deepdale, while Adam Armstrong continues to press his case for a starting place. The pair also discuss Mateus Mane’s slow start, Rodrigo Gomes’ best role and why Jordan James could become a crucial part of the Wolves midfield.

Attention then turns to the final days of the transfer window. Should Wolves keep their unsettled defenders? Is it time for Hwang Hee-chan and Sasa Kalajdzic to move on? And would a goalkeeper group of Jose Sa, Joao Virginia and returning veteran John Ruddy be strong enough for a promotion campaign?

There is also a Stoke preview, score predictions and an early look at how the Championship is shaping up.

Sam, Harry and Jack dissect a chaotic 2-2 opening-night draw with Blackburn at Molineux. From a surprising team selection and an exposed left flank to defensive mistakes and the controversial late penalty that rescued a point, where did it go wrong? And does anyone really want VAR in the Championship?

Attention then turns to Saturday’s trip to Preston, with concerns over Yerson Mosquera’s injury and doubts about Kieran Trippier’s availability.

  19. Rob Edwards Has Proven He Is Best Man For Wolves

    Show notes

The 77 Club is back to unpack Wolves’ dramatic 2-2 draw away at Brentford, a game that felt dead and buried at half-time before roaring back to life after the break.

Sam, Harry and Jack run through the team selection, the defensive lapses that left Wolves 2-0 down, and the key moments that turned the game, from Marshall Munetsi Armstrong’s excellent finish to Tolu Arokodare’s impact off the bench and a much-improved second-half display. There is plenty on Andre, Bellegarde’s driving run, and the role Angel Gomes played in swinging momentum back Wolves’ way.

The panel also gets stuck into another frustrating refereeing performance, the back-pass controversy, and the growing debate around whether Rob Edwards has now done enough to prove he should lead the club into next season.

Beyond Brentford, there is chat about Wolves’ looming relegation, the strange feeling of preparing for life back in the Championship, and what recent ticket price cuts might say about the club’s wider plans. To round things off, the lads take a detour into one of the most bizarre football stories of the week, CAF overturning the AFCON final result.

Fight, frustration, gallows humour and a hint of acceptance. Classic 77 Club.
