We talk about body image, confidence, the law of chastity, sexual feelings, gratitude, and the powerful truth that our bodies are gifts from God—created in His image. Instead of focusing only on rules and boundaries, what if we learned to see our bodies the way God sees them?

  9. for the one who needs angels | For Strength of Youth Sep.13 | ThisIsKingdom

    Show notes

What blessings are we actually receiving when we take the sacrament each week?

In this episode of This Is Kingdom, Grace, Talon, TJ, and Hollis dive into Lesson 2 of Chapter 9, “You Are Blessed by Priesthood Power and Authority.”

After kicking things off with some Labor Day stories (including terrible high school jobs 😂), the conversation turns to a question we may not think about very often:

How does the Savior bless us through the Aaronic Priesthood?

Doctrine and Covenants 13 teaches that the Aaronic Priesthood holds the keys of:

    • The ministering of angels
    • The gospel of repentance
    • Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins

Those blessings can completely change the way we think about the sacrament. Rather than simply going through a weekly routine, what if we recognized the incredible access to Jesus Christ, repentance, forgiveness, and even the ministering of angels that He offers us?

The crew talks about what these blessings actually mean, why they matter personally, and how understanding the priesthood can help us see the sacrament—and the Savior—in a whole new way.

🎙️ This Is Kingdom is a Good News Brand podcast about finding Jesus Christ in everyday life, asking real questions, and discovering the good news of the gospel.

  10. for the one who wants to feel close to God | ThisIsKingdom

    Show notes

What if the call you’ve been waiting for is already coming from God?

In this episode of This Is Kingdom, Grace, Talon, TJ, and Hollis dive into the For the Strength of Youth lesson, “You Are Blessed by Priesthood Keys and Authority,” and explore what it really means to answer God’s call.

From accepting and investing in Church callings to recognizing the small “errands” God places in our lives, the conversation is a reminder that service isn’t just about what we accomplish for others—it’s also about who we become in the process.

The crew shares personal stories about callings, serving in wards, experiences in Tonga, and finding closeness to God during busy seasons of life. Sometimes God’s call can feel like one more thing on an already-full schedule, but stepping into His work may be exactly where we find Him.

This week’s challenge: If you have a calling, invest a little more into it. If you don’t, look for an opportunity to serve. When God calls, answer.

  11. for the one who wants to be a disciple | ThisIsKingdom

    Show notes

What does it really mean to become a lifelong disciple of Jesus Christ?

In this episode of This Is Kingdom, Grace, Talon, TJ, and Hollis share a big change coming to the podcast. Instead of following General Conference talks each week, the show will begin studying the For the Strength of Youth guide alongside the Church’s youth schedule—not because these principles are only for teenagers, but because discipleship doesn’t end when you graduate, come home from a mission, get married, or enter a new stage of life.

Talon shares the story of Gideon in Judges 6 and a powerful response from the Lord: “Have not I sent thee?” When we see people struggling and wonder where God is, maybe part of the answer is that He has sent us to help.

The group discusses why choosing Jesus is a lifelong decision, how our everyday choices shape who we become, and why the principles in For the Strength of Youth can help people of every age navigate an increasingly complicated life.

Whether you're a youth, leader, returned missionary, young adult, parent, or simply someone trying to build a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ, this new chapter of This Is Kingdom is for you.

This week's challenge: Send this episode to someone you want to study and grow with. Find people you can gather with, talk about Jesus with, and encourage as you work together to become lifelong disciples.
