Trust in Allah SWT plans
Show notes
In this episode, I talk about what it truly means to trust Allah—even when life hits you with something you never saw coming.
For the first time, I reveal something deeply personal that I’ve kept private. Something that almost crushed me, almost took me down, and challenged me in ways people around me couldn’t see.
And somehow, through it all, I was still smiling. Still showing up. Still working. Still pouring into everyone else. Still overperforming—as always.
Shoutout to all my overperformers—the ones carrying things nobody knows about while still showing up like everything is okay. This episode is for you.
This one gets personal. I hope you enjoy the listen. 🤍
Trust Allah. Even when you don’t understand the why.
If this episode speaks to you, make sure you follow the podcast, share it with someone who needs to hear it, and leave a review. Your support means more than you know. 🤍

Istighfar Journey Part 2
Show notes
In Part 2 of the Istighfar Journey, I dive deeper into the mental health side of remembrance—how istighfar isn’t just something we say, but something that truly shifts us from within. I open up about how it’s helped me personally—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually—and the changes I’ve seen in my own life because of it.
We also need to have a real conversation about representation. We need more Muslim mental health professionals—people who look like us, understand our experiences, and share our spiritual foundation. That kind of support matters, and it’s something our community deserves more of.
This episode is a reminder that healing and faith go hand in hand, and that turning back to Allah can be a powerful step toward inner peace.
Join me on the Istighfar journey.

The beginning of my Istighfar Journey
Season 1
Show notes
In this very first episode of my Istighfar series, I open up about how my journey with seeking forgiveness (Istighfar) truly began—and how something so simple ended up changing my life in ways I never expected.
It all started with my brother Muhsin and his wife, who posted a friendly competition between themselves to see who could do the most Istighfar. Watching them inspired something in me. On a whim, I decided to join in… and from that moment, the rest has truly been history.

I Talk About My Ramadan Reflections And Post Ramadan
Show notes
Welcome back to Unwrapped Real Talk with the Black Hijabi! I’m your host, Mariam. Today, I’m sharing my reflections on Ramadan, a time that brought me incredible closeness and spiritual growth.
This year, I set some personal goals for Ramadan, and Alhamdulillah, I achieved them. I felt a deeper connection to my faith and a renewed sense of purpose. Supporting Muslim businesses and brands, from halal eateries to henna artists and much more, has been a major focus. It’s vital that we uplift our community.
However, right after Eid, we faced a horrible event that reminded us of the importance of staying vigilant. Now that Shaitan is free, we must remain steadfast and keep our guard up.
Thank you for tuning in. Stay connected, because our next episode is dropping soon, and trust me, we’re back in full effect!
