Peter Edwards of INTERRACIAL SEX is a power electronics artist who creates dense and visceral work that is simultaneously unhinged and rooted in the literary discipline, confrontationally exploring topics such as race and sexuality from a uniquely intimate perspective. He has a number of releases out on labels such as Fusty, New Forces, Modern Decadence and more.

    Show notes

    Full episode at https://www.patreon.com/whitecentipedenoise
Maggie Siebert of MOUTHS AGAPE creates bleak, narrative-driven industrial noise about harm from true-crime to personal tragedies, crafted with stark Antiseptic production that reflects the angst of modern culture. Her newest album “God Only Knows What I Can Do Right Now” on Limited Hangout Recordings is a recent personal favorite of mine. Maggie is also the author of "Bonding," a work of transgressive fiction, and she recently opened Very Friendly, a record store and recording studio in Brooklyn, NY.

    Show notes

Ron Lessard is America's Greatest Living Noise Artist, and a legend if there ever was one. Now, to celebrate his 20 year anniversary of retirement, he returns for an interview "performance" on White Centipede noise Podcast.

  6. Jeph Jerman of HANDS TO

    Show notes

Jeph Jerman is a sound artist active since the early ’80s, known for his early work as HANDS TO, as well as groups such as CITY OF WORMS and BLOWHOLE, and now recording and performing under his own name. Jeph works with rough, raw, organic sounds - both played and captured - to create deeply penetrative work that defies easy categorization.

In this conversation, we talk about his early experiments with body sounds, his approach to recording and degradation, the importance of listening and attention, field recording, improvisation, and the evolution of his practice over more than four decades.

  7. Joe Wang of OUTDOOR HORSE SHRINE

    Show notes

My guest this episode is Joe Wang of Outdoor Horse Shrine, a relative newcomer to noise who has already burned his name into many harsh heads registers with his intense and focused harsh electronic sound, touring extensively with Heat Signature, Being, and his duo with Brad Griggs, Psychic Sense Organs. During our conversation, we tried to pin down why we chase certain sounds, and revisit some fundamental yet Enigmatic questions about the nature of noise, along with lots about his history and current activities, like his label Secret Buddy and much more.

    Show notes

You can find the complete conversation as well as several unreleased Kyle Flanagan tracks on Patreon: https://patreon.com/whitecentipedenoise

Kyle has been an important part of the American noise underground for close to a decade, quietly influencing listeners and fellow artists alike with his personal brand of psychedelic noise and hands on participation, despite keeping a relatively low profile. He's been involved with the Dead Gods circle in New York and is now based in Richmond, Virginia.

In this conversation, we talk about psychedelia, his time living in New York at the height of Dead Gods, involvement in Crazy Doberman, the value of local and regional scenes, and the recording process behind several of his best-known releases, just to name a few topics.

Today my guest is Felix Erberth of Euronet, a noise project hailing from Malmö, Sweden. The project has a sparse but strong catalog of mechanical industrial noise with a unique atmosphere and aesthetic. One of my favorite noise projects that has flown under the radar of many, and since we've been pen pals for years, it was great to finally meet in person. Felix’s other passions outside of noise include hacking and puppetry. His animatronic and rod puppetry work can be seen at https://avgrund.net/. You can sample his noise at https://www.euronet-releases.com/

Felix joined me at WCN Studios in Potsdam for this interview, where we also recorded a live in-studio EURONET set that will be released on WCN TV at Patreon next week.
