Ranked Top 2% Globally
Do you wish that you could lead your team in a way that honours and glorifies God? Are you struggling to overcome self-doubt as a leader and have a desire to be more confident in your role? Do you want the courage to deal with difficult people but don’t want to upset anyone?
Well, you’re in the right place!
On this podcast, I’ll teach you how to lead like Jesus, even if you’re not allowed to speak of your faith in your workplace. You’ll learn to become bold and confident as a leader, to speak up and say what God wants you to say and to finally know that you are worthy to be in your current role. Because God chose you, not because you are already a perfect leader, but because HE wants to mold you and use you to be an instrument in the kingdom of God.
Hey, I’m Rika, and for the past 10 years, I’ve been in middle-management leadership roles, where I have led various teams, from big to small, and experienced my fair share of working with difficult people, having tough conversations, hiring and firing people and managing team dynamics.
I thought that I could rely on worldly knowledge of leadership to get me through. I attended various leadership courses and listened to many leadership podcasts, but I was still struggling as a leader. I was feeling frustrated and to be honest, I was not enjoying my leadership role and felt like quitting more often than I probably should have!
I finally realised that if I wanted to be the leader that I truly desired to be (which was a leader who wasn’t shy to speak up, a leader who honoured God with her actions and a leader who could build a cohesive team without the drama), I needed to partner with God and find a Christian leadership mentor to guide me and keep me accountable.
I committed my leadership journey to God and partnered with HIM. I started working with a mentor and stepped out in faith as I did hard things every single day. And I can’t wait to share what I’ve learned with you!
If you’re ready to lead your team in a way that honours God, I’m excited to be your mentor! So, grab your notebook and pen (and don’t forget that Chai Latte), and let’s unlock your God-given leadership potential!

187 | [Guest] Building a Business with the Holy Spirit as Your Partner with Stefanie Gass
Show notes
What does it actually look like to invite the Holy Spirit into your business decisions?
And how do you know when God is calling you to take a step of faith, especially when the path ahead isn't clear?
In this episode, I'm welcoming Stefanie Gass back to the Women of Faith in Leadership podcast. Stefanie was one of my very first podcast guests, so it's particularly special to have her join me again.
Stefanie is the host of God Led Business, and in this conversation, she shares how her journey from striving and self-reliance to surrendering her business to God completely changed the way she works and leads.
We talk about seeking God's direction, recognising when we're trying to control the outcome, and what it means to genuinely partner with the Holy Spirit in our everyday decisions.
Whether you're building a business, considering a career change or leading within an organisation, this conversation will encourage you to make space for God's wisdom rather than relying entirely on your own understanding.
In This Episode
• Stefanie's journey from striving for success to surrendering her business to God
• What it means to build a business with the Holy Spirit as your partner
• How to have a practical "business meeting with God"
• Learning to discern God's direction when making important decisions
• Taking steps of faith without knowing exactly how everything will unfold
• Why surrender doesn't mean abandoning planning, preparation or responsibility
• Trusting God's timing rather than trying to control every outcomeA Leadership Truth to Take Into Your Week
You don't have to work everything out on your own before taking the next step.
Whether you're leading a business or a team, consider:
Am I genuinely seeking God's direction, or am I making my own plans and simply asking Him to bless them?
Make time this week to bring one important decision before God. Pray, listen, reflect and ask Him for wisdom.

•
Courage: Why avoiding discomfort isn't always the same as keeping peace.
A Leadership Truth to Take Into Your Week
You can speak the truth and still lead with grace.

Bonus Episode: You Don't Need to Feel Confident to Lead with Courage
Show notes
Have you ever found yourself waiting to feel more confident before speaking up, making a decision or having a difficult conversation?
But what if courage isn't about feeling confident first?
In this short bonus Bible study, we're looking at 2 Timothy 1:7 and what it means to lead with courage, even when we feel uncertain or inadequate.
God hasn't called us to wait until we feel completely capable. He's called us to trust Him and faithfully lead where He's placed us.
In This Episode
•
Why courage doesn't require us to feel confident
•
What 2 Timothy 1:7 teaches us about power, love and self-discipline
•
How to take the next step when fear or self-doubt is holding us back
A Leadership Truth to Take Into Your Week
You don't need to feel confident to lead with courage.
Instead of asking, "Do I feel confident enough?", ask yourself:
"What would faithful, courageous leadership look like in this situation?"
Then ask God for wisdom and take the next step.

Being in middle leadership can sometimes feel like you're standing between two completely different worlds.
Your team is looking to you to hear their concerns, advocate for them and explain decisions they may not agree with. At the same time, senior leaders expect you to implement organisational decisions, including decisions you may not have made or even fully agree with yourself.
And somewhere in the middle, you can end up trying to keep everyone happy.
In this episode, we're talking about how to navigate that tension without becoming the emotional shock absorber between your team and senior leadership.
I'll walk you through four practical strategies to help you advocate wisely, communicate upwards, support your team without undermining senior leaders, and recognise what is, and isn't, yours to carry.
Because being a good leader doesn't mean keeping everyone happy.
It means leading with integrity.
In This Episode we talk about:
•
How to listen to your team without automatically taking their side
•
The difference between empathy and agreement
•
How to turn your team's frustration into constructive advocacy
•
Why raising a concern with senior leadership isn't the same as complaining
•
How to speak up respectfully when you disagree with a decision
•
What to do when you've advocated for your team and the answer is still no
•
How to communicate decisions clearly, even when you didn't make them
•
Why you should promise your actions, not outcomes you can't control
•
How to stop carrying responsibility for everyone else's emotions
•
What Galatians 6 teaches us about supporting others without carrying what doesn't belong to us
A Leadership Truth to Take Into Your Week
When you're caught between your team and senior leadership, you don't necessarily need to choose a side.
You need to choose integrity.
You can listen to your team without joining in with criticism. You can respectfully question a decision without undermining authority. You can advocate without complaining. And you can faithfully implement a lawful and ethical decision, even when it isn't the decision you personally would have made.
Your responsibility is to steward the influence and authority God has entrusted to you, not to control every outcome.
🎂 It's My Birthday Week — And I've Got Something for You
This Friday, 23 October, is my birthday.
And to celebrate, I'm doing something special for the female Christian leaders in this community.
For 24 hours only, I'm bringing together two of my resources:
The Imposter Syndrome Blueprint
For those moments when you're questioning your abilities, doubting whether you belong in your leadership position or struggling to recognise the value you bring.
The Confident Conversations Blueprint
For those moments when you need to address a difficult situation, speak up, set a boundary, give feedback or communicate something you know might not be well received.
I think these two resources work particularly well together because confidence in leadership involves both what happens internally and how we communicate externally.
And that's especially relevant when you're leading between your team and senior leadership.
You need to recognise that your voice matters, and you need to know how to use that voice wisely.
Normally, the two Blueprints cost $94 combined.
But for my birthday, you'll be able to get it at a discounted price!
The birthday sale is available on Friday, 23 October 2026, only.

185 | How to Stay Spiritually Grounded in a Demanding Season
Show notes
Demanding seasons of leadership can make it surprisingly easy to drift from the very practices that keep us grounded.
When work is busy, people need you, difficult decisions are piling up and your mind is constantly solving the next problem, time with God can quietly become something you'll get to “later.”
In this episode, we're talking about how to stay spiritually grounded when leadership feels demanding, without turning your relationship with God into another task on your already overflowing to-do list.
We'll explore what it looks like to invite God into the ordinary moments of your leadership, recognise what pressure is bringing out in you, release the outcomes you were never meant to control, and lead from dependence on God rather than trying to carry everything yourself.
In This Episode we talk about:
• Why demanding seasons can quietly shift us towards self-reliance
• How your relationship with God can become another thing you feel guilty about “not doing enough”
• Why staying spiritually grounded doesn't require the perfect morning routine
• Simple ways to invite God into your leadership throughout the day
• How pressure can reveal what's happening beneath the surface
• Why prayer can be honest, practical and incredibly simple
• The importance of preparing yourself, not just your words, before a difficult conversation
• How carrying responsibility for outcomes creates unnecessary emotional and spiritual weight
• Why unresolved difficult conversations can take up so much mental space
• How to create small points of connection with God during an already demanding day
• Why giving your leadership responsibilities back to God at the end of the day mattersA Truth to Take Into Your Week
You don't stay spiritually grounded because your circumstances are calm.
You stay spiritually grounded because you know where your foundation is when they aren't.
Rather than trying to add another elaborate spiritual routine to your schedule, look for ordinary moments where you can intentionally turn your attention towards God.
Before you open your laptop.
Before the meeting.
Before you respond to the email.
Before the difficult conversation.
And when you finish your work for the day.
God doesn't need to become another thing on your list. Let Him be the One you walk through the list with.

When a Difficult Conversation Is Adding to the Weight
Sometimes what's making a demanding season feel even heavier is the conversation you've been carrying around in your head.
You're replaying what happened, thinking about what you should say, anticipating how the other person might respond and wondering whether now is the right time to address it.
The Confident Conversation Blueprint helps you move that conversation out of your head and prepare for it intentionally.
Inside, you'll work through the preparation process so you can identify the real issue, separate the facts from your emotions, clarify what needs to change and prepare yourself to approach the conversation with biblical wisdom and calm confidence. You'll also have practical frameworks and ready-to-use scripts to help you find the words when you're unsure what to say.
Because you don't just need to prepare the conversation. You need to prepare yourself to lead it well.

184 | How Leaders Accidentally Reward the Wrong Behaviours
Show notes
As leaders, we can say that we value accountability, initiative, honesty and responsibility, but what really shapes our team is what happens when people demonstrate those behaviours... or when they don’t.
Sometimes, without even realising it, our leadership responses can reinforce the very behaviours that frustrate us.
We step in when someone misses a deadline. We give more work to the person who is already reliable. We soften an expectation when someone becomes upset. Or we spend so much time managing difficult behaviour that the people quietly doing a great job barely get noticed.
In this episode, we’re looking at the behaviours leaders can accidentally reward, how those patterns influence team culture, and what we can do differently to encourage greater ownership, accountability and growth.
In This Episode we talk about:
• How leaders can unintentionally reinforce behaviours they don’t want repeated
• When supporting someone crosses over into rescuing them
• Why your most reliable team members shouldn’t be rewarded with everyone else’s work
• How leadership attention can unintentionally reinforce negative behaviour
• Why what you tolerate teaches your team what is acceptable
• What happens when we backtrack because someone reacts badly to feedback
• How to recognise and reinforce the behaviours you actually want to see more of
• Why consistent expectations create clarity
• How to reset an expectation when you realise you’ve contributed to an unhealthy pattern
• Why changing a pattern often requires a clear and courageous conversationA Leadership Question to Take Into Your Week
Instead of only looking at the behaviours that frustrate you, pay attention to what happens after those behaviours.
Ask yourself:
“Am I reinforcing what I actually want to see more of?”
Look at who gets rescued, who gets extra work, who receives most of your attention and what gets quietly tolerated.
Sometimes changing a team pattern begins with recognising what our own leadership has been unintentionally teaching people.
When a Pattern Needs a Conversation
Perhaps this episode has brought a particular person or recurring behaviour to mind.
You know something needs to change, but you're unsure how to address the pattern without sounding harsh, creating defensiveness or allowing your own frustration to take over.
The Confident Conversation Blueprint can help you prepare for that conversation.
Inside, you'll work through how to separate the facts from your frustration, identify the real issue, clarify what needs to change and prepare what you want to communicate. You'll also have ready-to-use scripts and practical language to help you approach difficult leadership conversations with clarity, calm confidence and biblical wisdom.
Because changing a pattern often starts with changing the conversation around it.

183 | [Guest] When God Uses Your Story to Shape Your Leadership with Zahara McCoy
Show notes
What if some of the most painful parts of your story became the very places God used to shape the way you lead?
Zahara McCoy was born in Uganda and lost her mother during the AIDS epidemic when she was just ten years old. Without a parent to advocate for her, her future became incredibly uncertain. But through sponsorship, Zahara was connected with Marianne McCoy in California, a relationship that eventually led to adoption, education and an entirely different future.
Years later, Zahara returned to Uganda and encountered children facing circumstances painfully similar to those she had once experienced herself. It became a pivotal moment in her story: she was no longer the child needing someone to step in for her; God was now giving her the opportunity to step in for someone else.
Today, Zahara leads Children of Grace, the organisation her adoptive mother began, supporting vulnerable children in Uganda through education, mentorship and holistic care.
In this conversation, we talk about Zahara's journey from Uganda to America, faith, identity, advocacy and how our lived experiences can profoundly shape the leaders we become.
A Leadership Truth to Take Into Your Week
One of the things that stayed with me after this conversation was Zahara's statement: “Identity precedes performance.”
Leadership isn't only shaped in boardrooms, qualifications or positions of authority.
Sometimes God uses the very experiences we would never have chosen to develop our compassion, perspective, courage and ability to advocate for others.
So perhaps the question to take into this week is:
What has God allowed me to walk through that could now help me lead and serve someone else well?

182 | Why “We’ve Always Done It That Way” Hurts Growth
Show notes
“We’ve always done it that way.”
It sounds harmless, but when that phrase becomes part of a team’s culture, it can quietly stop people from questioning, improving and growing.
In this episode, we’re talking about how to recognise when a long-standing process, expectation or way of working may no longer be serving your team — without falling into the opposite trap of changing things simply for the sake of change.
We’ll explore how to honour what has worked in the past while still creating a culture where people feel safe to ask, “Is there a better way?”
In This Episode we talk about:
• Why familiarity can sometimes keep teams stuck
• The importance of understanding why something exists before changing it
• How teams can continue solving problems that no longer exist
• Why your team needs to feel safe questioning the way things are done
• How defensiveness from leaders can unintentionally shut down ideas and innovation
• What we can learn from the way Jesus challenged established thinking
• Why change isn’t always growth — and why good leaders need to know the difference
• How to listen to the people closest to the work, especially when they see something you don’t
• Why leading change often requires difficult conversations
• How to communicate change without dismissing the people or history that came before youA Leadership Question to Take Into Your Week
Take a look at something your team has been doing for a long time and ask:
“Does the reason we started doing this still exist?”
You may discover there’s a very good reason to keep doing it.
Or you may discover that it’s simply there because nobody has stopped to question it.
The goal isn’t change for the sake of change.
The goal is growth.
When Growth Requires a Difficult Conversation
Sometimes you can see that something needs to change, but the part you're struggling with is how to communicate it without creating defensiveness or unnecessary tension.
That’s exactly the kind of leadership moment the Confident Conversation Blueprint was created for.
The Blueprint helps you prepare before you walk into the conversation — clarifying the real issue, deciding what needs to be communicated, thinking through the outcome you’re working towards and preparing for how the other person may respond.
You’ll also have practical frameworks and ready-to-use scripts to help you communicate with greater clarity, calm confidence and biblical wisdom.
Because sometimes the difference between avoiding change and leading change is simply being willing — and prepared — to have the conversation that comes with it.

181 | What to Do When Everything Feels Urgent
Show notes
When everything feels urgent, it can be difficult to know what actually deserves your attention.
Someone needs an answer. An unexpected problem lands on your desk. A team member is stressed. Your inbox is filling up. And before you know it, the priorities you started the day with have disappeared underneath everyone else’s needs.
In this episode, we’re talking about how to lead when everything feels urgent, without becoming reactive, absorbing everyone else’s stress, or taking responsibility for problems that were never yours to carry.
We’ll also look at what we can learn from the way Jesus responded to pressure and why calm leadership isn’t passive leadership. It’s learning to discern what genuinely requires your attention and having the wisdom to pause before you respond.
In This Episode we talk about:
• Why feeling constantly rushed isn’t always a time-management problem
• The difference between something needing your attention and needing your attention right now
• Why you don’t have to absorb someone else’s urgency in order to care about them
• How discomfort can make situations feel more urgent than they really are
• What Jesus teaches us about remaining calm when everyone around us is demanding something
• Why confident leaders don’t need to have an immediate answer
• The importance of asking, “Does this actually require me?”
• How delayed difficult conversations can eventually become emotionally urgent ones
• Why preparation helps us respond with wisdom rather than reacting under pressure
• How to prayerfully discern what actually needs your leadership todayA Leadership Question to Take Into Your Week
Instead of beginning your day by asking:
“How am I going to get everything done?”
Try asking:
“God, what actually needs my leadership today?”
Not everything that is loud is important, and not everything that feels urgent requires an immediate response.
Prepare for the Difficult Conversation You’ve Been Avoiding
Sometimes the thing that genuinely does need your leadership is a conversation you’ve been postponing.
If you know something needs to be addressed but you’re unsure what to say, how to approach it, or how the other person might respond, the Confident Conversation Blueprint will help you prepare before you walk into the room.
Inside the Blueprint, you’ll find the step-by-step preparation process, practical frameworks and ready-to-use scripts to help you approach difficult conversations with greater clarity, calm confidence and biblical wisdom.

180 | The Silent Culture Killers Leaders Miss
Show notes
Have you ever sensed that something is off in your team, even though there’s no obvious conflict?
Everyone is still showing up. People are being polite. Nothing major has happened.
And yet communication feels different. Frustrations are bubbling under the surface. People seem less engaged, and the culture somehow feels heavier.
Unhealthy cultures rarely develop because of one dramatic event. More often, they slowly erode through small patterns that go unnoticed, unchallenged, or unaddressed.
In this episode, we’re looking at four silent culture killers leaders often miss — and what you can do before those small issues become much bigger leadership problems.
In This Episode
We talk about:
•
why culture is shaped by what gets repeated, tolerated, rewarded, and ignored
•
how unclear expectations quietly create frustration and inconsistency
•
what your team learns when problems repeatedly go unaddressed
•
how rescuing and over-functioning can create dependency within your team
•
why gossip is often a symptom of deeper communication and trust issues
•
the connection between healthy workplace culture and courageous conversations
•
why addressing small issues early can prevent much harder conversations later
A Key Leadership Truth
Culture isn't created by what you say matters. It's created by what you consistently reinforce.
Healthy cultures don't happen accidentally. They are built intentionally — through clarity, accountability, shared responsibility, and conversations that leaders are willing to have.
Is There a Conversation You Know You Need to Have?
Maybe as you listened to this episode, a person or situation immediately came to mind.
Perhaps there’s something you’ve noticed but haven’t addressed yet because you’re worried about making it worse or simply don’t know what to say.
The Confident Conversation Blueprintwas created to help you prepare for those moments.
Inside, you’ll find the Difficult Conversations Script Pack and the complete Confident Conversation Sprint training, giving you practical scripts and frameworks to help you:
•
clarify what actually needs to be addressed
•
prepare what you want to say
•
communicate with calm authority
•
approach difficult conversations with both truth and grace
Because confidence doesn't come from personality.
It comes from preparation.

179 | [Guest] Choosing the Opposite: Leading Like Jesus in a Divided World with Tammy Melchien
Show notes
In a world marked by division, pressure, and constant noise, how can Christian leaders lead differently?
In this episode, I'm joined by teaching pastor and author Tammy Melchien to discuss her book Choosing the Opposite and the powerful lessons found in Jesus' Sermon on the Mount.
Together, we explore what it means to lead with humility, live for God's approval rather than people's praise, and embrace the radically different way of Jesus.
In This Episode We discuss:
• how the challenges of recent years led Tammy back to the Sermon on the Mount
• why Jesus' teachings are just as relevant today as they were 2,000 years ago
• why leadership is relational, not positional
• the beauty and strength of collaborative leadership
• what it means to live for an "audience of One"
• how seeking people's approval creates emotional exhaustion
• the connection between leadership, identity, and burnout
• why healthy leaders create margin and trust God with their calling
• how the Sermon on the Mount offers practical wisdom for modern leadership
A Key Leadership Truth: The greatest reward in leadership isn't the approval of people, it's hearing "Well done" from the Father.

178 | Are You Helping Your Team Grow or Keeping Them Dependent?
Show notes
Sometimes what feels like being a supportive leader can quietly turn into doing too much for the people you lead.
You rewrite the email because it’s quicker. You solve the problem before they’ve had a chance to work through it. You take something back because you don’t want them to feel overwhelmed.
It comes from a good place. But over time, constantly stepping in can leave you exhausted while unintentionally keeping your team dependent on you.
In this episode, we’re talking about the difference between supporting your team and rescuing them and how to develop people who can think, take responsibility, and grow without you carrying everything for them.
In this episode we talk about:
•
how caring leaders can unintentionally become over-responsible
•
the difference between supporting someone and rescuing them
•
why constantly providing the answers can limit your team’s growth
•
how asking better questions helps develop independent thinkers
•
why allowing healthy responsibility is an important part of developing people
•
how avoiding difficult conversations can create dependence
•
why addressing expectations and performance is sometimes one of the most supportive things you can do as a leader
A Key Leadership Truth:
You are not called to carry everyone. You are called to lead them.
Sometimes the most loving thing you can do as a leader is step back enough for someone else to step forward.
Ready to Stop Avoiding the Conversations Your Team Needs You to Have?
If you find yourself fixing problems, compensating for poor performance, or carrying responsibilities that belong to someone else because having the conversation feels harder, the Confident Conversation Blueprint can help.
It gives you practical scripts, biblical wisdom, and a clear framework to help you prepare for difficult leadership conversations so you know what to say, how to say it, and how to approach the conversation with calm confidence.
Because confidence doesn’t come from personality.

177 | 5 Signs You’re Growing as a Leader
Show notes
Growth in leadership doesn’t always feel like growth.
Sometimes it feels like second-guessing yourself. Sometimes it feels like things are getting harder, not easier. And sometimes it feels like you’re the only one who hasn’t figured it out yet.
But what if those moments are not signs of failure… but evidence that something is actually shifting in you?
In this episode, we unpack the quiet, often overlooked signs that you are growing as a leader, even when it feels messy, uncomfortable, or uncertain.
In This Episode we explore:
• Why growth often feels like discomfort rather than confidence
• The subtle signs your leadership is maturing beneath the surface
• How increased self-awareness is a sign of strength, not weakness
• Why caring deeply about your leadership is evidence of growth
• How your responses, not your circumstances, reveal transformation
• The difference between struggling and staying stuckThis episode will help you reframe the tension you’re feeling and recognise the progress you may have been overlooking.
If You’re Ready to Grow with Clarity and Confidence

176 | 5 Things Confident Christian Leaders Do Daily
Show notes
Confidence in leadership isn’t something you either have or don’t have.
It’s something you build — quietly, consistently, and intentionally — through the small decisions you make each day.
Many Christian women in leadership assume that confident leaders feel ready before they lead. But in reality, confidence is not a personality trait. It is the result of preparation, clarity, and daily leadership rhythms that anchor you in Christ.
In this episode, we explore five simple but powerful daily practices that confident Christian leaders use to lead with calm authority, wisdom, and consistency — even in demanding seasons.
In This Episode we discuss:
• Why confidence is built through daily leadership habits, not personality
• The importance of starting your day anchored rather than reactive
• How clarity reduces overwhelm and strengthens decision-making
• Why preparing for conversations ahead of time builds confidence
• How emotional awareness shapes steady leadership
• The role of daily reflection in long-term leadership growth
You’ll walk away with practical, faith-based habits you can begin implementing immediately to grow in confidence and lead with greater clarity.

175 | Setting Expectations That Remove Confusion (and Reduce Your Stress by 70%)
Show notes
So much of the stress leaders carry isn’t because their team is difficult…
it’s because expectations haven’t been made clear.
In this episode, we unpack one of the most common — and overlooked — leadership challenges: unclear expectations. If you’ve ever felt frustrated, repeated yourself, or wondered why things aren’t being done the way you expected, this conversation will bring clarity and relief.
Because leadership becomes significantly lighter when people know exactly what’s expected of them.
In This Episode we explore:
• why unclear expectations create stress, frustration, and repeated issues
• the hidden cost of “being nice” instead of being clear
• why your team may not be meeting expectations (even when they’re capable)
• how assumptions create confusion in leadership
• the difference between vague direction and clear leadership
• how setting expectations early prevents difficult conversations later
You’ll walk away with practical, simple shifts you can apply immediately to lead with greater clarity and less emotional strain.
A Simple Leadership Shift: People can’t consistently meet expectations that were never clearly set.
Clarity isn’t harsh. Clarity is leadership.
Ready to Communicate with Confidence?
If setting expectations or having these conversations feels uncomfortable or unclear, you don’t have to figure it out on your own.
The Difficult Conversations Script Pack will help you:
• know exactly what to say in real leadership situations
• communicate clearly without over-explaining or softening your message
• set expectations with calm, professional authority
• handle difficult moments without second-guessing yourself
Because confidence doesn’t come from personality, it comes from preparation.

174 | [Guest] When Faith Meets Burnout: Breaking Free from the Lie that Doing More Pleases God with Kerry Iannone
Show notes
Many Christian leaders don’t struggle because they don’t care…
They struggle because they care deeply and quietly believe that doing more is what God expects of them.
In this episode, I’m joined by Kerry Iannone, Christian life and wellbeing coach, as we unpack one of the most subtle but dangerous lies in leadership:
That your value comes from how much you do.
Together, we explore how misplaced identity fuels burnout, why so many women find themselves exhausted even in ministry and leadership, and how returning to your identity in Christ changes everything.
In This Episode
We talk about:
• why burnout is often rooted in identity, not just time management
• how the belief “doing more pleases God” quietly leads to exhaustion
• the hidden pressure many women carry to be everything for everyone
• why high-capacity, caring leaders are especially vulnerable to burnout
• the signs of burnout, including exhaustion, resentment, and loss of joy
• how overcommitting and struggling to say no contributes to burnout
• the difference between being and doing in your identity as a Christian leader
• why your calendar often reveals what you truly prioritise
• how to identify what is life-giving vs life-draining in your leadership
• the importance of rhythms, not perfection, in your walk with God
