🎙️ A New Creative Era—and the Same Old TKO Problems
Show notes
Wrasslin’ Wroundtable — Episode 89
Ryan Hall and Dominique LaRue unpack a major WWE creative shakeup, serious questions surrounding Crown Jewel, and the widening gap between wrestling’s biggest company and the working-class fans who helped build it.
They would also love to discuss some actual wrestling again. Maybe one day.
Show Notes
• Shawn Michaels Takes Over WWE Creative
Bruce Prichard is reportedly leaving after WrestleMania 43, with Shawn Michaels set to take control of WWE creative.
Ryan and Dom discuss what the change could mean for the product, from match presentation and long-term storytelling to the development of WWE’s next generation.
Will Shawn bring his NXT philosophy to the main roster? Could fresh leadership lead to a more wrestling-focused product—or will the corporate structure surrounding creative limit how much can truly change?
• AJ Styles Heading to NXT?
With Shawn Michaels moving up, AJ Styles could become the next person entrusted with NXT.
Ryan and Dom examine what AJ could bring to the role, how his experience might shape young talent, and whether this represents the beginning of WWE’s next creative regime rather than a simple change in personnel.
• Should Crown Jewel Still Be Happening?
Crown Jewel remains on the calendar, but ongoing uncertainty in the region raises an unavoidable question: Is traveling there the right decision?
Ryan and Dom discuss the responsibilities WWE has to its performers and staff—and whether fulfilling a business agreement should ever take priority over ensuring everyone gets home safely.
• WWE Is Pricing Out Its Own Fans
The differences between ticket prices for WWE, AEW, and AAA are becoming impossible to ignore.
Ryan and Dom compare the costs and explain why WWE under TKO increasingly feels designed for corporate guests, tourists, and affluent customers rather than the everyday fans who sustained the company for generations.
Record revenue may look impressive in a presentation. It means less when the people who love the product can no longer afford to attend.
• Can We Please Talk About Wrestling Again?
Matches. Storylines. Promos. Angles.
Those are the things Ryan and Dom want to discuss. Instead, the politics and business of wrestling continue to overshadow what happens inside the ring.
The panel reflects on how exhausting that shift has become—and why fans shouldn’t need to understand corporate restructuring, international relations, and dynamic ticket pricing simply to enjoy professional wrestling.
All that and more on Episode 89 of Wrasslin’ Wroundtable—where WWE enters a new creative era, TKO keeps checking everyone’s wallets, and Ryan and Dom desperately search for an actual wrestling match to discuss.

🎙️ Too Many Factions, Rey’s Final Match, and Trick’s Biggest Test
Show notes
Wrasslin’ Wroundtable — Episode 88
Ryan Hall and Dominique LaRue confront professional wrestling’s faction addiction, consider the perfect ending for Rey Mysterio’s legendary career, and debate whether Trick Williams is ready to become world champion.
Show Notes
• Does Everybody in Wrestling Need a Faction?
The 946 has become genuinely compelling, and Ryan and Dom are excited about the WarGames match taking shape.
But across WWE, AEW, and nearly every other promotion, factions are multiplying out of control.
What happened to two competitors simply disliking each other—or wanting the same championship? The Wroundtable discusses why factions can strengthen a story, how too many can dilute the entire concept, and why wrestling still needs personal rivalries that don’t require eight people and three interference spots.
Sometimes two wrestlers should just want to beat each other up.
• Is Rey Mysterio Finally Hanging Up the Mask?
If Rey Mysterio is approaching the end of his extraordinary career, who deserves to retire him?
The answer may be standing inside his own family.
Ryan and Dom explain why Dirty Dom is the right person to give Rey his final match—and why the history between father and son could produce a retirement story worthy of Rey’s legacy.
• We’re Still Bitter About Kurt Angle’s Retirement
Retirement matches matter. They become the final chapter of a wrestler’s story, and WWE has not always chosen wisely.
Seven years later, Ryan and Dom still haven’t forgiven the decision to have Baron Corbin retire Kurt Angle. The panel revisits that misstep and explains why Rey’s final opponent must carry emotional weight rather than feel like a random booking decision.
Time has passed. The bitterness remains.
• Is It Too Soon for Trick Williams?
Trick Williams defeating Sami Zayn for the championship would be a major statement—but is WWE ready to pull the trigger?
Ryan and Dom discuss whether Trick is prepared for the responsibility, whether Sami’s reign should continue, and how WWE could elevate Trick without rushing one of its brightest young stars.
• Trick Williams vs. Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel?
If Trick wins the title, a massive test could be waiting at Crown Jewel.
What would Trick Williams standing across from Roman Reigns feel like? Could it establish Trick as a legitimate main-event star, or would the difference in experience and presentation expose how far he still has to go?
The Wroundtable considers whether Roman could be the perfect measuring stick for Trick’s arrival—or an obstacle he isn’t ready to overcome.
All that and more on Episode 88 of Wrasslin’ Wroundtable—where factions are everywhere, Trick Williams is knocking on the door, and Baron Corbin retiring Kurt Angle remains unforgiven.

Birthday Cake, Carmelo Hayes, and Roman Reigns Has Receipts
Show notes
Wrasslin’ Wroundtable — Episode 87
It’s Dom’s birthday, and the celebration comes with live-wrestling stories, a surprising addition to the 946, and Roman Reigns offering a very direct response to Conrad Thompson.
Show Notes
• Dom Goes to TNA Impact
Dom shares his experience attending a TNA Impact taping and explains how different televised wrestling feels from an untelevised live event.
A television taping is far more structured, with performers working around cameras, commercial breaks, production cues, and strict time limits. But underneath all that production are human beings doing an incredibly physical job.
Ryan and Dom discuss the work fans don’t always see—and why experiencing wrestling live can give you a new appreciation for the people behind the performances.
• We Have a Carmelo Hayes Sighting
Carmelo Hayes has finally resurfaced—and somehow, he is part of the 946.
Ryan and Dom discuss what Melo adds to the group, why he might have joined, and how his arrival could affect the faction’s growing conflict with The Bloodline.
Against all odds, the 946 is becoming…kind of compelling?
• Roman Reigns Responds to Conrad Thompson
Roman Reigns had some pointed comments for Conrad Thompson following his continued criticism of Roman’s place in wrestling.
Ryan and Dom explain why Roman’s response gets to the heart of professional wrestling: selling tickets and convincing people to pay to see you perform.
Roman’s Mount Rushmore reflects that philosophy. Drawing power matters. Ticket sales matter. Pay-per-view buys matter. And by those standards, dismissing Roman’s position among the modern greats becomes increasingly difficult.
All that and more on Episode 87 of Wrasslin’ Wroundtable—where Dom celebrates another birthday, Carmelo Hayes finally reappears, and Roman Reigns brings receipts.
🎂 Happy Birthday, Dom!
Send Dominique LaRue some birthday love—and try not to mention how many factions WWE currently has. We would like him to enjoy his day.

🎙️ Solo Got Kidnapped—and Came Back With a Fresh Fade?
Show notes
Wrasslin’ Wroundtable — Episode 86
Ryan Hall and Dominique LaRue attempt to understand Solo Sikoa’s suspiciously relaxing kidnapping before making their Money in the Bank predictions and looking ahead to Roman Reigns versus LA Knight.
Show Notes
• Was Solo Kidnapped—or Did He Take a Vacation?
The 946 kidnapped Solo Sikoa, held him for two weeks—and apparently treated him very well.
Solo returned looking rested, refreshed, and sporting a fresh haircut. No dramatic escape. No rescue mission. No explanation. He simply reappeared as though he had returned from a moderately pleasant vacation.
Ryan and Dom ask how Solo escaped, why nobody seems particularly concerned, and whether WWE skipped an important chapter of the story.
• Bron Breakker Makes Sense—but Does He Get the Briefcase?
Bron Breakker feels like an obvious Money in the Bank favorite. He has the power, momentum, and main-event potential to make the contract feel genuinely dangerous.
But does he actually need it?
Ryan and Dom discuss whether the briefcase would accelerate Bron’s rise—or whether WWE should let him reach the championship picture without taking the shortcut.
• Would WWE Dare Give Money in the Bank to CM Punk?
Putting the briefcase in CM Punk’s hands would guarantee months of compelling television.
It would also create complete chaos around every world championship match.
Ryan and Dom debate whether WWE would make such a bold choice, what Punk would do with the contract, and which champion would spend every waking moment looking over his shoulder.
• Lola Vice or Sol Ruca?
Does the women’s Money in the Bank match have Lola Vice’s name written all over it—or is this the moment WWE launches Sol Ruca into another level?
Ryan and Dom examine which woman benefits most from winning, who is ready for the responsibility, and which potential cash-in would create the better story.
• Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight: Is a Surprise Coming?
Roman Reigns and LA Knight are set for the main event, but a straightforward finish feels increasingly unlikely.
Does the 946 get involved? Does Solo return to the center of The Bloodline saga? Or is WWE preparing a surprise nobody sees coming?
Ryan and Dom consider what could happen—and whether LA Knight is walking into a championship match or the next chapter of a much larger war.
All that and more on Episode 86 of Wrasslin’ Wroundtable—where Solo survived a kidnapping, found time for a haircut, and returned with fewer questions answered than ever.

🎙️ Jaida Parker Strikes—and the Wrestling World Mourns PAC
Show notes
Wrasslin’ Wroundtable — Episode 85
Ryan Hall and Dominique LaRue examine a shocking development in the Bloodline–946 saga before remembering a remarkable performer taken far too soon.
Show Notes
• Jaida Parker Runs Down Jacob Fatu
Jaida Parker’s attack on Jacob Fatu adds another dangerous layer to the conflict surrounding The Bloodline and the 946.
Why did she target Jacob? Is she working alongside the 946, acting on someone else’s orders, or pursuing an agenda of her own?
Ryan and Dom discuss what this means for Jacob, how Solo Sikoa might respond, and whether Jaida’s involvement could transform the entire saga.
• Remembering Ben Satterley—PAC and Neville
The wrestling world was rocked by the sudden and tragic passing of Ben Satterley, known to AEW fans as PAC and to WWE fans as Neville.
Ryan and Dom reflect on his extraordinary athleticism, unmistakable intensity, and the impact he made everywhere he competed.
His passing is also a painful reminder that the performers we watch every week are human beings—not characters or content. They are sons, partners, parents, friends, and loved ones with families waiting for them to come home.
Behind every match is a person. This week, the wrestling world mourns one of its very best.
All that and more on Episode 85 of Wrasslin’ Wroundtable—an episode about a story moving forward and a life remembered far too soon.

🎙️ Who’s Really Behind the 946—and Can Anyone Stop Them?
Show notes
Wrasslin’ Wroundtable — Episode 84
Ryan Hall and Dominique LaRue dive deeper into the mystery surrounding the 946, begin their Money in the Bank speculation, and revisit Conrad Thompson’s continuing issue with Roman Reigns.
Show Notes
• The 946 Takes a Major Hostage
The Black Tank Top Gang raised the stakes in a big way last week by taking a major hostage.
With Solo Sikoa also removed from his Money in the Bank qualifier, the 946 is no longer merely lurking backstage—they are actively reshaping WWE’s biggest stories.
Ryan and Dom discuss what the group wants, how its actions could affect The Bloodline, and whether Solo is preparing to get his lick back.
• Penta Punches His Ticket to Money in the Bank
Solo’s removal opened the door for Penta to enter the qualifier—and he made the most of it by earning a place in the Money in the Bank ladder match.
Ryan and Dom begin their briefcase predictions. Is Penta a serious contender? Who benefits most from holding the contract? And which winner would create the most compelling championship story?
• Who Is Really Leading the 946?
Royce Keys may be the face of the operation, but is somebody unexpected pulling the strings?
The Wroundtable examines the possibilities behind the 946’s mysterious leadership and asks whether a major reveal could connect the faction even more deeply to The Bloodline saga.
• How Does the 946 Become Truly Terrifying?
Car attacks, backstage assaults, kidnappings—the group is certainly causing chaos. But being violent and being intimidating are not always the same thing.
Ryan and Dom discuss what the 946 needs to become a genuinely frightening force instead of simply another large faction wearing matching black tank tops.
• Conrad Thompson vs. Roman Reigns Continues
Conrad Thompson’s drama with Roman Reigns isn’t going away, and neither are Ryan and Dom’s questions about it.
They revisit Conrad’s criticism and explain why Roman isn’t merely successful—he is the biggest wrestling superstar of the modern era. From his presence and drawing power to the years-long Bloodline saga, Roman has built a résumé that becomes harder to dismiss with every new chapter.
All that and more on Episode 84 of Wrasslin’ Wroundtable—where the 946 has a hostage, Penta has an opportunity, and Roman Reigns remains the name everyone wants to discuss.

🎙️ Roman Took a Mexican Destroyer?! And What Happened to Money in the Bank?
Show notes
Wrasslin’ Wroundtable Episode 83
Roman Reigns took a Mexican Destroyer. Money in the Bank somehow stopped feeling dangerous. And Dirty Dom may have just lost more than a championship.
Yeah. We've got some things to talk about.
This week, Ryan Hall and Dominique LaRue dig into a Raw classic that proved sometimes the loser gets the biggest rub, ask how one of WWE's greatest gimmicks lost so much of its magic, and wonder whether Dominik Mysterio's latest loss could be the first crack in his entire faction.
And seriously...
ROMAN REIGNS TOOK A MEXICAN DESTROYER.
2026 is weird, y'all.
• Roman Reigns vs. Penta: Sometimes the Loser Wins
Roman Reigns and Penta delivered a classic on Raw—but despite taking the loss, Penta may have walked away with the biggest win of all.
Ryan and Dom talk about why wrestling sometimes isn't about who gets their hand raised. Put someone in the ring with a star the size of Roman Reigns, let them push him to his limit, and suddenly the audience sees them differently.
Penta looked like he belonged.
Sometimes the right loss can make somebody.
And also…
ROMAN REIGNS TOOK A MEXICAN DESTROYER.
We're still processing this.
• What Happened to the Prestige of Money in the Bank?
Money in the Bank used to feel dangerous.
That briefcase wasn't just a prop. It was a constant threat hanging over every champion in WWE. When somebody walked onto Raw or SmackDown carrying it, you knew exactly what it meant.
Somewhere along the way, though, something changed.
Now the briefcase itself feels almost…empty.
Ryan and Dom discuss whether WWE has chipped away at the prestige of one of the greatest concepts the company ever created—and what needs to happen for Money in the Bank to feel important again.
• Dirty Dom Lost the AAA Championship. Is His Faction Next?
Dominik Mysterio no longer has the AAA championship.
But Ryan and Dom are looking beyond the belt.
Could losing the title be the first domino in the collapse of Dom's entire faction?
The gold helped give Dirty Dom power and credibility while his collection of allies continued to grow around him. Without it, does that dynamic begin to change?
Is this simply the beginning of Dominik's next chapter?
Or did we just see the first crack in something much bigger?
All that and more on Episode 83 of Wrasslin' Wroundtable—where Roman Reigns is apparently taking Mexican Destroyers now, briefcases aren't what they used to be, and Dirty Dom might want to check whether everybody is still answering the faction group chat.

🎙️ The 946 Gang Has Arrived—and Somehow We Still Have Too Many Factions
Show notes
Wrasslin’ Wroundtable — Episode 82
The Black Tank Top Gang finally has a name. Will Ryan remember it? Absolutely no promises.
Ryan Hall and Dominique LaRue discuss the 946 Gang’s impact on The Bloodline, Bronson Reed’s return, Cody Rhodes’ continued dance with the dark side, and a serious reminder about the human beings behind professional wrestling.
Show Notes
• Royce Keys and the 946 Gang Enter the Bloodline Saga
Royce Keys and the 946 Gang open up several intriguing possibilities for The Bloodline.
Does their arrival give Solo Sikoa an opportunity to get his lick back? Who becomes their next target? And, perhaps most importantly, who is explaining those torched cars to the rental company?
Ryan and Dom attempt to follow the money—and the trail of gasoline.
• Bronson Reed Returns
Bronson Reed made his presence felt during the Bron Breakker–Oba Femi match, immediately adding another dangerous variable to the equation.
Ryan and Dom discuss the latest developments, what Reed’s return means for both competitors, and whether WWE has a larger collision brewing among three of its most destructive powerhouses.
• Will Cody Rhodes Ever Fully Embrace the Dark Side?
Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton delivered a terrific match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
The finish? Not quite as terrific.
Ryan and Dom break down what worked, why the ending fell short, and whether Cody will ever stop flirting with the darkness and finally become the more dangerous version of himself this story appears to demand.
• Enough With All the Factions
Yes, the 946 Gang creates exciting possibilities.
Yes, Ryan and Dom are still crashing out about WWE having entirely too many factions.
When everybody has a crew, does anybody stand out? The Wroundtable discusses why factions need distinct motivations and meaningful stories—not just matching outfits and enough people to interfere in every main event.
• Remembering the Person Behind the Performer
Following the tragic passing of AEW’s The Butcher during a match, Ryan and Dom step away from the storylines to acknowledge the human cost of professional wrestling.
The performers who entertain us are people with families, friends, and lives waiting for them beyond the arena. It is a sobering reminder that, no matter how immersive wrestling becomes, everyone deserves to finish their match and make it home safely.
All that and more on Episode 82 of Wrasslin’ Wroundtable—where the 946 Gang finally has a name, Cody still has a decision to make, and WWE apparently remains determined to organize its entire roster into group projects.

🎙️ The New Level Changes the Game, Netflix Blurs Reality, and the Lucha Bros Steal the Show
Show notes
Wrasslin’ Wroundtable — Episode 81
Ryan Hall and Dominique LaRue discuss a move that could reshape the wrestling business, the continuing mystery of Royce Keys’ “Black Tank Top Gang,” Netflix’s strange censorship decision, and a Match of the Year candidate with enormous title implications.
Show Notes
• The New Day Levels Up—and Wrestling Changes Forever
Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed heading to AEW is bigger than one promotion signing two decorated performers. It could represent a genuine sea change for professional wrestling.
Ryan and Dom discuss what their arrival means for AEW, WWE, and wrestlers searching for alternatives. They also ask the unavoidable question: Why would WWE ask two men who helped make the company a fortune—and built one of wrestling’s most successful acts—to accept such a massive pay cut?
WWE’s loss might become a defining gain for the entire industry.
• OTM—or Royce Keys’ Black Tank Top Gang
That is what Dom called them, and honestly, it may stick.
Royce Keys, Lucien Price, and Bronco Nima continue attacking people backstage, but what is the actual endgame? Ryan and Dom try to determine whether these attacks are building toward a larger story or if WWE introduced yet another faction before deciding what it stands for.
Black tank tops are not a motive.
• Why Did Netflix Blur the Blood?
Netflix hosts plenty of movies and shows featuring far more graphic violence, yet the blood covering Jimmy, Jey, and Solo was blurred during Raw.
Ryan and Dom explain why the issue isn’t blood for blood’s sake. In the right story, blood adds consequence and makes the conflict feel real. Blurring it only draws attention to the production and breaks the illusion WWE worked so hard to create.
If the violence matters to the story, let the audience see the story.
• Penta vs. Rey Fenix: A Match of the Year Candidate
With a shot at Roman Reigns’ championship waiting in Mexico City, Penta and Rey Fenix delivered a Match of the Year contender.
Ryan and Dom break down the chemistry, emotion, and spectacular in-ring action—and discuss whether the winner can carry that momentum into a championship match against the Tribal Chief in two weeks.
All that and more on Episode 81 of Wrasslin’ Wroundtable—where The New Level may have changed the business, OTM still owes everyone an explanation, and Netflix apparently discovered its limit.

🎙️ Remember When We Were Positive About WWE? Yeah, Neither Do We
Show notes
Wrasslin’ Wroundtable — Episode 80
Ryan Hall and Dominique LaRue are back with a familiar mix of confusion, frustration, and desperate attempts to make WWE’s latest creative decisions make sense.
This week: another faction arrives, the main-event generation keeps getting older, and WWE apparently believes every wrestler needs at least four friends and a matching entrance.
Show Notes
• Royce Keys, OTM, and Another Unexplained Alliance
Royce Keys has joined forces with OTM’s Lucien Price and Bronco Nima—and their first major act was interfering in Raw’s main event.
But why?
Ryan and Dom discuss what this new faction could become, what its immediate involvement in the main event is supposed to accomplish, and why WWE needs to explain the motivation before asking fans to invest in another group.
• WWE’s Main-Event Clock Is Ticking
Many of WWE’s biggest stars are now over 40. They may still perform at an elite level, but the company cannot rely on the same names forever.
So, who is truly next?
Oba Femi? Bron Breakker? Trick Williams? Je’Von Evans?
Ryan and Dom examine WWE’s next generation, who looks ready to make the jump, and whether the company is doing enough to turn potential into genuine main-event star power.
• Why Does Everybody Need a Faction?
Another week, another alliance, stable, crew, family, vision, collective, or loosely associated collection of people standing behind someone during a promo.
Ryan and Dom ask what all these factions actually accomplish. Groups should create stories, elevate their members, and give everyone a clear purpose—but when nearly everybody belongs to one, none of them feel particularly special.
Maybe WWE doesn’t need another faction. Maybe it needs better reasons for the ones it already has.
All that and more on Episode 80 of Wrasslin’ Wroundtable—where the roster is crowded, the factions are multiplying, and optimism has once again been placed on the injured reserve list.

🎙️ Solo the Babyface, Roman the Tragic King, and Chelsea’s Breakout Moment
Show notes
Wrasslin’ Wroundtable — Episode 79
Ryan Hall and Dominique LaRue discuss an increasingly compelling Bloodline saga, two potential babyface breakouts, and another troubling departure that raises questions about what WWE values.
Show Notes
• Is Solo Sikoa WWE’s Biggest Babyface?
That is a sentence we never expected to write—but after the final segment of Monday Night Raw, it might be true.
Solo’s evolution from ruthless enforcer to funny, charismatic fan favorite has been remarkable. Ryan and Dom discuss why the transformation is working, how Solo fits into the next chapter of The Bloodline, and whether WWE has created one of its most popular babyfaces.
• Roman Reigns and the Ego of a Tragic King
Inside every ruthless leader is the ego that eventually brings down the empire.
Tony Soprano had it. Michael Corleone had it. Roman Reigns certainly has it.
Ryan and Dom examine The Bloodline through the lens of a classic tragedy. Roman has survived betrayal, rebellion, and the collapse of his family—but when will his pride finally become the one opponent he cannot defeat?
• Chelsea Green’s Breakout Babyface Moment
Chelsea Green’s emotional confrontation with Nick Aldis on SmackDown was more than another good promo. It felt like the beginning of something significant.
Ryan and Dom discuss what made the segment so compelling, where Chelsea’s story goes next, and whether WWE has found its next major women’s babyface.
• Ilja Dragunov Reportedly Wants Out
Reports indicate that Ilja Dragunov requested his WWE release, raising another uncomfortable question about the company’s direction.
Where is the space for someone who gets over through intensity, physicality, and exceptional in-ring ability? Ryan and Dom discuss what WWE would lose with Dragunov’s departure—and whether great wrestling alone is still enough to earn a meaningful opportunity.
All that and more on Episode 79 of Wrasslin’ Wroundtable—where Solo may be the hero, Chelsea may be the future, and Roman’s greatest enemy may have been staring back at him the entire time.

Solo Got Funny, Roman Got Underrated, and Finishers Stopped Finishing
Show notes
Episode 78:
Ryan Hall and Dominique LaRue discuss Solo Sikoa’s unexpected comedic evolution, a puzzling take about Roman Reigns, and why wrestling finishers need to start feeling special again.
• Solo Sikoa: Funny, Dangerous, and Finding His Groove
Seriously—when did Solo get this funny?
His comedic timing has become one of WWE’s most pleasant surprises, but don’t let the laughs distract from one important fact: Solo Sikoa is still a bad, bad man.
Ryan and Dom discuss his evolving character, what comes next for The Bloodline, and how Solo could factor into its next chapter.
Just don’t give him a warning shot.
• Roman Reigns Is Overrated? We Need to Talk About That
Podcaster Conrad Thompson recently suggested that Roman Reigns might be overrated—and Ryan and Dom have questions.
They explain why the criticism feels shortsighted, examine Roman’s growth as a performer and storyteller, and make the case that, despite years at the top, Roman might somehow still be underrated.
• Make Finishing Moves Special Again
A finishing move should finish the match. Revolutionary concept, apparently.
Ryan and Dom have a fun conversation about endless kickouts, diluted finishers, and why wrestling has lost some of the drama that comes from protecting a wrestler’s biggest move.
Not every match needs four finishers, six shocked faces, and a kickout at 2.9999. Sometimes one devastating move should be enough.
All that and more on Episode 78 of Wrasslin’ Wroundtable—where Solo brings the comedy, Roman gets his flowers, and finishers are politely asked to start finishing again.

Returns, “Retirements,” and the Final Chapter of The Shield
Show notes
Episode 77:
Ryan Hall and Dominique LaRue unpack a jam-packed SummerSlam weekend featuring surprise returns, chaotic championship matches, and a main event worthy of The Shield’s complicated history.
Some matches overdelivered. Some careers were resurrected. And one familiar Beast may—or may not—have walked away for good.
Night One
• The Six-Man Tag Overdelivered
The six-man tag didn’t promise much on paper, but it delivered once the bell rang.
Ryan and Dom discuss the match’s surprising success—and whether LA Knight’s involvement could lead to a future alongside Roman Reigns and the OTC.
• Randy Orton Sticks His Neck Out
Randy Orton inserted himself into the championship picture, and the message was impossible to miss.
Is Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton officially on deck? Ryan and Dom discuss their history, the emotional stakes, and how dangerous this feud could become once friendship gives way to championship ambition.
• Nick Aldis vs. Gunther Delivered
The emotion was real, the physicality lived up to expectations, and Nick Aldis proved he still belongs inside the ring.
Ryan and Dom break down why the match worked—and whether Aldis is truly finished competing.
• Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi Was Everything We Expected
The Ruler and The Beast went to war inside Hell in a Cell, delivering the violence and intensity their months-long program promised.
Brock may be calling it a career—but we’ve heard that one before. Ryan and Dom discuss what the match did for Oba, what comes next for both men, and whether anyone should believe The Beast is actually finished.
Night Two
• Kevin Owens Is Back—and Already the No. 1 Contender
In perhaps the biggest surprise of the weekend, Kevin Owens returned for his first match in nearly two years—and became the new No. 1 contender for the Undisputed Championship.
Ryan and Dom discuss an incredible comeback, the title match now waiting for KO, and whether he can complete the journey by reaching the top once again.
• Chelsea Green Survives the Chaos
Chelsea Green captured the Women’s Interim Championship in a wild ladder match filled with collisions, close calls, and complete disorder.
Ryan and Dom discuss why Chelsea was the right choice, what her interim reign could look like, and what happens when Rhea Ripley returns.
• Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns: The Final Chapter of The Shield
Years of friendship, betrayal, resentment, and unfinished business finally collided.
Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns delivered a brutal, emotional Match of the Year contender that felt like the true ending to The Shield’s story. Ryan and Dom break down the callbacks, the emotion, and whether WWE gave this era the conclusion it deserved.
All that and more on Episode 77 of Wrasslin’ Wroundtable—with absolutely no discussion of Danhausen’s Human Monies on a Pole match.
We have standards. Occasionally.

SummerSlam Preview: Dark Turns, Sleeper Matches, and a Shield Reunion?
Show notes
Episode 76
Ryan Hall and Dominique LaRue preview a loaded two-night SummerSlam card—but first, they have one question for ESPN:
Why eliminate the one-hour preview show designed to get people excited about the event?
Show Notes
• ESPN Scraps the SummerSlam Preview Hour
A major event should feel like a major event. So why remove an hour dedicated to introducing the matches, explaining the stories, and building excitement?
Ryan and Dom discuss why the decision feels shortsighted—especially when WWE and ESPN should be trying to attract new viewers instead of assuming everyone already understands the card.
Night One
• Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar: Match of the Weekend?
The Ruler and The Beast finally collide inside Hell in a Cell.
After months of electric segments, the expectations are enormous. Ryan and Dom explain why this brutal showdown should be the match of the weekend—and why the result could define Oba’s future as a main-event star.
• Gunther vs. Nick Aldis: Don’t Sleep on This One
Nick Aldis has been emotional in recent interviews and training like he has something to prove. Across the ring stands Gunther, a man seemingly designed to punish anyone who believes too strongly in a comeback story.
Could this quietly steal Night One?
• CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes: Does Cody Finally Embrace the Darkness?
Cody’s polished, heroic approach may not be enough against CM Punk.
Ryan and Dom ask whether SummerSlam is where Cody finally stops trying to be everyone’s hero, embraces his darker instincts, and becomes the version of himself capable of reclaiming the championship.
Night Two
• Penta vs. Chad Gable: A Hometown Coronation?
Chad Gable challenges Penta for the Intercontinental Championship in front of his hometown crowd.
Does Gable finally receive the feel-good championship moment fans have been waiting for—or does Penta spoil the homecoming? Either way, this could be the sleeper match of the entire weekend.
• Women’s Interim Championship Ladder Match
With Rhea Ripley sidelined, the women’s division needs someone to seize the moment.
Could Lash Legend win the ladder match and carry the championship until Rhea returns? Ryan and Dom discuss the field, the opportunity, and whether Lash is ready for a defining run.
• Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns: Believe in The Shield?
WWE keeps showing footage of The Shield, and Ryan and Dom are paying attention.
Is it simply history being used to deepen the Seth–Roman rivalry—or could SummerSlam feature a surprise appearance from a certain Lunatic Fringe?
All that and more on Episode 76 of Wrasslin’ Wroundtable—where SummerSlam is stacked, the predictions are locked in, and absolutely nothing involving The Shield feels accidental.

When Business Starts Beating Wrestling
Show notes
Wrasslin' Wroundtable Episode 75
Ryan Hall and Dominique LaRue dive into one of the biggest business weeks WWE has had in years—and ask whether the company is becoming more focused on corporate partnerships and celebrity appeal than the fans who got them here.
From SiriusXM to TKO, Nick Aldis to Gunther, and the New York Knicks controversy, there's plenty to unpack.
Show Notes
• WWE Radio Is Coming to SiriusXM... Good Move or More Corporate Control?
WWE is launching WWE Radio on SiriusXM, bringing official WWE podcasts, audio versions of weekly TV, and live radio-style coverage of Premium Live Events under one umbrella.
Ryan and Dom discuss what this means for wrestling fans. Is this a great way to make WWE content more accessible, or is it another step toward WWE controlling more of the conversation around its own product?
• Has WWE Forgotten Its Core Audience?
From celebrity appearances to premium ticket prices to merchandise that keeps getting more expensive, Ryan and Dom wonder if WWE is paying more attention to celebrities and corporate partners than the fans who have supported the company for decades.
When replica championship belts are pushing $1,200, at what point does the average working fan simply get priced out?
The Wroundtable discusses whether TKO's business-first philosophy is creating record revenues... while slowly distancing WWE from the audience that made it successful in the first place.
• Nick Aldis vs. Gunther Is Quietly Becoming the Feud of the Summer
Outside of Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi, Ryan and Dom believe no rivalry has caught fire quite like Gunther and Nick Aldis.
What started as a confrontation between a General Manager and an angry superstar has become one of WWE's most compelling stories.
• The Knicks Story Makes No Sense
One week, WWE heavily featured the New York Knicks throughout Saturday Night's Main Event from Madison Square Garden, with Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns playing major roles.
Now reports say some within WWE weren't happy with how much attention the Knicks received.
Ryan and Dom ask...
What did you expect?
You ran the show in Madison Square Garden just weeks after the Knicks won their first NBA championship in over 50 years. The crossover made perfect sense for that audience. Walking it back afterward feels shortsighted—and another example of TKO overthinking what fans actually enjoy.
All that and more on Episode 75 of Wrasslin' Wroundtable—where the biggest stories aren't always inside the ring.

🎙️ "Sheamus Is Gone. Enzo & Cass Are Back. We Have Questions."
Show notes
Wrasslin' Wroundtable Episode 74
Ryan Hall and Dominique LaRue are back with a week that left them asking a familiar question:
What exactly is WWE thinking?
One beloved veteran is officially gone, some familiar faces are suddenly back, and Dom somehow found a way to connect Cody Rhodes, The Rock... and Danhausen.
Yes, really.
Show Notes
• Sheamus Is Officially Gone... and We Don't Get It
After nearly 20 years with WWE, Sheamus is officially gone, bringing an end to one of the most decorated careers of the modern era. His departure followed the expiration of his contract after the sides were unable to reach a new agreement.
Ryan and Dom look back on everything The Celtic Warrior accomplished—and ask the question they can't shake:
Why let him walk?
Sheamus could still go in the ring. He still connected with crowds. And it felt like he had unfinished business, especially with the Intercontinental Championship—the one title that always eluded him. Ryan and Dom discuss why WWE may have let one of its most reliable stars leave with plenty left in the tank.
• Baron Corbin Is Back... But Why?
Baron Corbin has returned to WWE, and Ryan and Dom aren't convinced they understand the timing.
Where does Corbin fit on today's roster? Is there a real plan here, or is this simply another familiar face returning without a clear direction?
• Enzo & Big Cass: Bada Boom... But Why?
Bada boom.
Most confusing move in the room.
Enzo Amore and Big Cass are reportedly on their way back to WWE, and Ryan and Dom have one simple question:
Why?
The duo was lightning in a bottle a decade ago, but this isn't 2015 anymore. Does nostalgia alone justify bringing them back, or is WWE looking backward instead of building its future?
• Cody Rhodes, The Rock... and Danhausen?
This might be Dom's wildest theory yet.
What if Danhausen becomes the unlikely bridge between Cody Rhodes and The Rock?
Ryan and Dom connect the dots on a storyline that sounds ridiculous on paper... until you hear Dom explain it.
• Saturday Night's Main Event Preview
Before the next chapter begins, WWE has one more stop.
Ryan and Dom preview Saturday Night's Main Event, break down the biggest matches, discuss what needs to happen, and make their predictions heading into another pivotal weekend.
All that and more on Episode 74 of Wrasslin' Wroundtable—where legends leave, old favorites return, and somehow Danhausen might end up in the biggest storyline in WWE.

🎙️ "CM Punk Is Champion... Now What?"
Show notes
Ryan Hall and Dominique LaRue react to yet another major title change, a fascinating new wrinkle in the Roman Reigns/Seth Rollins story, and a growing concern that has nothing to do with what happens inside the ring.
The road to SummerSlam just took another unexpected turn.
Show Notes
• CM Punk Is the New Undisputed Champion
We have another new champion—and this time, it's CM Punk.
Ryan and Dom break down what Punk's victory means for the Undisputed Championship and where WWE goes from here. What becomes of Cody Rhodes after losing the title? Where does Sami Zayn fit into the championship picture?
And perhaps the biggest question of all:
Does Sami Zayn finally need to embrace the dark side?
The Wroundtable makes the case that the next evolution of Sami's character may be his most compelling yet.
• Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and a New Role for Seth?
After Seth declared that he "owned Roman," Dom floated a fascinating theory.
What if this rivalry isn't just about settling old scores? What if it's setting Seth up for an entirely different role moving forward?
Ryan and Dom connect the dots and discuss how one line may have quietly changed the direction of one of WWE's biggest stars.
• WWE, TKO, and Pricing Out the Fans
This week's biggest conversation isn't about a match.
It's about the fans.
Ryan and Dom discuss how WWE's corporate evolution under TKO has made the product increasingly inaccessible to everyday working people. From premium live event pricing to merchandise, the costs continue to climb—including replica championship belts now selling for more than $1,200.
At what point does WWE stop serving the fans who built the company?
The Wroundtable tackles one of the biggest off-screen stories in wrestling today.
All that and more on Episode 73 of Wrasslin' Wroundtable—where championships change, stories evolve, and sometimes the biggest issue isn't what happens between the ropes.

🎙️ "King Oba, Champion Sami, and a SummerSlam Problem"
Show notes
Wrasslin’ Wroundtable Episode 72
Ryan Hall and Dominique LaRue react to one of the biggest title changes of the year, a King of the Ring victory that raises as many questions as it answers, and a rivalry that suddenly feels a little too real.
The road to SummerSlam just got a whole lot more interesting.
Show Notes
• Sami Zayn Is Champion… Now What?
We have a new champion, and it's Sami Zayn.
Ryan and Dom break down what the title change means for WWE moving forward. Is Sami a true long-term champion? Or is this a transitional reign designed to get the title from Point A to Point B? The Wroundtable discusses where Sami fits at the top of the card and who should be next in line.
• Gunther's Crash-Out… Is Nick Aldis About to Lace Up the Boots?
Gunther completely lost it on Nick Aldis, and it may have consequences beyond a fine or suspension.
Ryan and Dom discuss whether this could finally be the moment Aldis steps back into the ring. Is WWE setting up one more run for the SmackDown General Manager, or is this simply a way to raise the stakes heading into SummerSlam?
• King Oba Femi: The Right King… But the Wrong Prize?
Oba Femi wears the crown, and Ryan and Dom agree WWE got the winner right.
But here's the question:
If Oba Femi is already confirmed to face Brock Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell at SummerSlam, what exactly is the point of giving the King of the Ring winner a guaranteed championship match?
Does the stipulation actually raise the stakes... or does it unintentionally telegraph that Oba won't be cashing in his title opportunity anytime soon?
The Wroundtable debates whether WWE has backed itself into a creative corner—or whether there's a twist coming that nobody sees.
• Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns: This Feels Different
Some rivalries feel scripted.
This one doesn't.
Ryan and Dom talk about why the tension between Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns feels unusually authentic—and whether WWE is quietly planting the seeds for one of the most emotional reunions in modern wrestling history.
Could the original Shield ride together one last time?
All that and more on Episode 72 of Wrasslin' Wroundtable—where championships have changed, kings have been crowned, and SummerSlam is shaping up to be something special.

🎙️ What Makes Sense? Heyman Speaks, Night of Champions, and the King & Queen Finals
Show notes
Wrasslin’ Wroundtable Episode 71
Ryan Hall and Dominique LaRue return to wrestling's favorite question:
What makes sense?
This week, it's not just about booking decisions. It's about perspective. Paul Heyman pulled back the curtain in a rare interview, Night of Champions is here, and the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments have some fascinating implications.
Show Notes
• Paul Heyman Opens the Curtain
Paul Heyman doesn't do many shoot interviews, which is exactly why his conversation with Chris Van Vliet resonated throughout the IWC.
Ryan and Dom discuss Heyman's incredible insight into what he saw in Roman Reigns' Tribal Chief character long before everyone else did, how he unexpectedly became Brock Lesnar's advocate, and why hearing one of wrestling's greatest creative minds explain his process is a masterclass in storytelling.
• Night of Champions Preview
One of WWE's biggest international events has arrived.
Ryan and Dom break down the card, the matches they're most looking forward to, and the stories that could shape the road to SummerSlam.
• Queen of the Ring: Wait... Isn't Liv Already a Champion?
Here's the question neither Ryan nor Dom can shake:
Why is Liv Morgan, an active champion, competing for the opportunity to challenge for another championship at SummerSlam?
The Wroundtable examines the logic behind the booking, whether it helps the tournament, and if WWE missed an opportunity to elevate someone chasing their first major title.
• Oba Femi vs. Jey Uso: Who Needs the Crown More?
It's power versus momentum.
Does Oba Femi take the next step toward becoming WWE's next dominant force? Or is this finally the moment Jey Uso completes his singles journey by becoming King of the Ring?
Ryan and Dom debate not just who will win — but who should.
All that and more on Episode 71 of Wrasslin' Wroundtable — where sometimes the biggest question in wrestling isn't "who wins?" It's "why?"

🎙️ What Makes Sense? King of the Ring, Queen of the Ring, and a Possible Danhausen Curse
Show notes
Wrasslin’ Wroundtable Episode 70
Ryan Hall and Dominique LaRue find themselves asking one of their favorite wrestling questions yet again:
What makes sense?
Not what would be shocking. Not what would break the internet. Just... what actually makes sense?
With King and Queen of the Ring approaching, the answers may be more complicated than they seem.
• King of the Ring: Who Should Wear the Crown?
The field is loaded, but not all paths are created equal.Does Jey Uso finally cement his singles legacy with a King of the Ring victory? Does Je'Von Evans announce himself as WWE's next breakout star? Or is Oba Femi simply too unstoppable to deny?
Ryan and Dom break down the candidates, the story implications, and perhaps the biggest question of all:
If Jey wins, what does that mean for the Bloodline?
Because in WWE, nothing involving that family is ever simple.
• Queen of the Ring: Is Iyo Sky the Obvious Choice?
Some tournaments have favorites. Some tournaments have inevitabilities.
Ryan and Dom discuss whether Iyo Sky is the clear frontrunner, who could challenge her, and what a Queen of the Ring victory would mean heading into the second half of the year.
• Liv Morgan, Danhausen, and a Very Interesting Conversation
Danhausen's latest Raw appearance raised some eyebrows. His interaction with Liv Morgan may have seemed harmless enough on the surface, but Ryan and Dom aren't so sure. Is this the beginning of another very nice, very evil storyline?
More importantly:
Is a curse coming?
The Wroundtable examines the evidence before things inevitably get weird.
All that and more on Episode 70 of Wrasslin' Wroundtable — where we're once again trying to figure out what makes sense in a business that often seems determined to avoid it.
