After Bedtime with Big Little Feelings
Real talk? Modern parenting is a doozy. There’s never been more pressure to be perfect with social media readily at our fingertips - mixed with total isolation and no help. Where the f*ck is that village everyone talks about? Consider After Bedtime your village. Led by Kristin and Deena - founders of the largest online parenting community, Big Little Feelings - After Bedtime is the place you can go at the end of a long hard day to find your “enough”-ness. We’ll laugh, we’ll cry, we’ll maybe pee our pants a little as we unpack things we’re ALL experiencing but too ashamed to talk about: imperfect marriages, miscarriages, managing toddler mania, apologizing to our kids and everything in between. You’ll leave with actionable, realistic tips to make this whole parenting thing smoother - small changes, big impact. In an age where parents need more *real* connection than ever, let’s talk honestly about the hard - and remind ourselves we are not alone, we are not failing. In fact, we’re f*cking crushing it.

Stop Yelling, Start Getting Results: 5 Parenting Shifts That Actually Work
Show notes
Why does your kid only listen when you FINALLY lose it and yell? Are you accidentally making meltdowns worse? And how the hell are you supposed to raise a confident, resilient kid when every day feels like one giant power struggle??
If you’ve ever asked your kid to put their shoes on 12 times, felt judged for accommodating their needs, or watched your kid get rejected by friends and wanted to march straight onto that playground yourself, this episode is for YOU.
Today, child therapist Deena is tackling the real-life parenting problems - sent in by the besties - that leave us exhausted, second-guessing ourselves, and wondering, “Am I handling any of this right?”
And she’s sharing the practical, research-backed shifts that can completely change how you handle them. We’re getting into:
Why yelling actually WORKS (and why that’s a problem): The surprising reason your kids ignore the first 14 requests, but magically listen when you explode - and how to break that cycle.
The Halloween candy trap: The common mistake that can make your kid even MORE obsessed with sugar, and how to end the candy battles for good.
Meltdowns, fears, and big feelings: What to do when your child is completely overwhelmed, and the simple preparation trick that can prevent a whole buncha meltdowns before they start in the first place.
Sensory struggles vs. “giving in”: Is accommodating your child’s needs making them less resilient?? Deena gets personal about what she’s learned raising an autistic child.
When your kid is excluded by friends: How to protect their confidence, know when to step in, and teach them to handle rejection without believing something is wrong with them.
Here’s the thing: You can be doing everything you THINK you’re supposed to do as a parent and still be making your life harder than it needs to be. Let’s take the pressure off and calm the chaos. Sometimes the biggest breakthroughs come from changing one small thing in how you respond.
This episode is packed with those moments - the kind that make you go, “WAIT. Why has nobody explained it to me like that before?!” And translate into real life results - less yelling, fewer power struggles, and more confidence in yourself AND your kids.
Press play. You’re going to want these tools in your back pocket.

Raising Boys in a World That Needs Better Men: 10 Things to Start Today
Show notes
A listener favorite, back by popular demand! This conversation feels more relevant than ever. We're revisiting one of our most important episodes about raising boys and the small, science-backed things we can do today to shape the men they'll become. Because how we raise our boys today matters for the world they'll help shape tomorrow.
If you’re raising a boy, this episode will light a fire in you - in the best, most empowering way. Because here’s the truth: The kind of men our boys become is not random - it’s not just personality, or fate. It’s shaped - day by day - in childhood. In how we respond to their anger, their tears, their mistakes.
Parents are not just witnessing who their sons become; we are actively building the men they will be - through parenting. And the most hopeful part? There are concrete, science-backed things you can start doing today that measurably shift your child’s emotional trajectory - and the kind of partner, friend, and human he will one day be.
In this bold, honest, sometimes funny-so-you-don’t-cry episode, Deena goes straight at the stuff that feels big and scary to say out loud: male entitlement, emotional shutdown, aggression, consent failures, unequal partnership, and why “boys will be boys” has quietly lowered the bar for generations. Then, she flips the script - with science, real stories, and concrete parenting tools you can start literally today - so you walk away knowing exactly how to raise a boy who feels deeply, respects boundaries, takes accountability, and is safe to love.
Here are the 10 daily actions that turn little boys into great men - starting TODAY:
• Why emotional skills in men are built - or blocked - in early childhood
• The critical difference between allowing anger vs. allowing harm
• How to teach consent and bodily autonomy starting in toddlerhood
• Why boys receive less emotional coaching (and how to change that)
• Rough play, wrestling, and what it’s actually doing in the brain
• Teaching boys about periods, care work, and partnership early
• How to build empathy and perspective-taking in daily moments
• Accountability and repair: the skill many men never learned
• Why punishment and shame backfire - especially for boys
• The core message boys need about love, power, and safety
You’ll leave this episode feeling seen in the weight of raising boys today, and radically empowered in how much influence you actually have. Because you’re not just raising a child; you’re shaping the kind of man the world will one day meet. And once you hear this, you’ll parent your son differently tomorrow morning.

The ADHD & Autism Conversation That Could Change How You See Yourself (and Your Kids)
Show notes
Have you ever spent your entire life feeling like you're too much, too sensitive, too scattered, too difficult, or just somehow failing at things that seem SO easy for everyone else? Or maybe you're raising a child who hears those exact same things. This episode will completely change the way you see yourself AND your child.
Today, fan favorite, my husband Tyler (VP Hype Squad) is joining me for one of our most personal conversations yet. We were both diagnosed with neurodivergence at 37. I have ADHD, Tyler has autism and ADHD, and as it turns out, we're raising a whole lot of neurospicy kids ourselves. We're sharing what we wish we'd known about our brains decades ago, and the things we've learned that have completely changed how we live and parent.
In this episode, you'll learn:
•The hidden cost of masking: What actually happens when you spend your entire life forcing yourself to appear "normal," and how that constant effort to fit in can lead to exhaustion, burnout, and losing your sense of who you really are.
•Why ADHD and autism are so often missed, especially in women: And why you might have spent decades calling yourself lazy, dramatic, difficult, or a failure when there was a completely different explanation.
•How to stop fighting against your own brain: The life-changing shifts we've made since our diagnoses that have helped us let go of shame, work WITH our brains, and finally give ourselves some damn grace.
•Exactly how we're parenting our neurodivergent kids differently: The questions we ask instead of assuming our kids are being difficult, how we're helping them build skills that actually work for their brains, and what we're doing to make sure they don't grow up believing there's something wrong with them.
•How to break the cycle of shame: Because we know firsthand what it feels like to spend your childhood trying desperately to be someone else, and we want something radically different for our kids.
Whether you have ADHD or autism, suspect you might, love someone who does, or are raising a child who experiences the world a little differently, this is an episode you need to hear. Because imagine what could change if you finally understood why certain things have always been so hard for you. And imagine what could change for your child if they never had to spend 37 years figuring that out.
Plus, Tyler shares his deeply passionate ranking of public bathrooms around the world. Because apparently that's where this conversation needed to go.

LET CRAIG SEW: Craig Conover on Heartbreak, ADHD, & Becoming Himself
Show notes
Everyone’s Bravo husband is in the house: CRAIG CONOVER. We can’t believe AND we get into ALL. OF. IT. Southern Charm. Austen. Shep. The breakup. Growing up on reality TV. Because we’ve basically watched Craig grow up in real time.
We watched him party, get dragged for sewing, navigate ADHD, build a business, fall in love, go through a VERY public breakup, change his relationship with alcohol, and eventually realize… wait, maybe I actually LIKE staying home, going to the gym, sewing pillows, and not waking up hungover? But underneath that evolution is a much bigger story about what happens when you stop trying to be who everyone else expects you to be. Craig gets incredibly open with Kristin about ADHD, bullying, alcohol, loneliness, self-trust, and learning to build a life that actually feels like him.
A little sneak peek of what we get into:
* The ADHD hacks Craig actually uses to get shit done, including one we’re stealing immediately
* Why changing his relationship with alcohol changed way more than his mornings
* The moment he realized some of the people closest to him wanted the “old” Craig back
* What his breakup taught him about loneliness, codependency, and being alone
* What ADHD looked like as a kid, in law school, on reality TV, and now as an entrepreneur
* The bullying he never told his parents about — and how being “different” shaped him
* Austen. Shep. Madison. And where those relationships stand now
* And the ultimate full-circle moment: how sewing went from the thing everyone made fun of to a business, a life, and now a children’s book
Because maybe the thing people told you was weird about you isn’t something you need to get rid of. Maybe it’s the thing that makes you YOU.
Turns out: we should have just let Craig sew.

Rewire Your Relationships: The Attachment Patterns, Blind Spots, and Protective Moves Shaping How You Love
Show notes
You can be wildly self-aware, deeply loving, in therapy, reading all the books, trying your absolute hardest - and still turn into a completely different person the second your relationship gets hard.
Maybe you start explaining yourself, clarifying and clarifying. Or, maybe you shut down and can’t find a single word. Maybe you need to fix it RIGHT NOW while your partner needs hours, or days, to process and be ready to talk about it all. Maybe you say “I’m fine” while internally writing a dissertation called Actually, I Am Not Fine At All and I Want You to Notice. Or, maybe you keep having the same fight in different outfits and cannot figure out why you both keep ending up in the exact same place.
That is what this episode is about. Welcome to the Attachment Styles episode. This is about looking at yourself closely enough to notice the moves you make automatically when connection gets hard, where those moves came from, and whether they are actually helping you build the relationship you want. Because sometimes, the thing that feels completely reasonable in the moment is also the exact thing keeping the cycle alive - until you notice and name it.
Maybe you pursue harder because you want closeness, and your partner pulls away even more. Or perhaps you shut down because you need space, and the other person experiences that as abandonment. Maybe you people-please to keep the peace and then quietly resent everyone involved. Or you wait for your partner to magically know what you need because having to ask somehow makes it feel less meaningful.
Good news: None of this means you are doomed at relationships. It means you have patterns. We all do - and once you can actually see yours, you finally have something to work with.
In this episode, Deena gets into what attachment styles actually mean in real life, how they show up in conflict, and how two people who genuinely love each other can accidentally create a dynamic that leaves both of them feeling completely misunderstood.
You’ll walk away knowing how to:
Spot your own “protective move” before it takes over the entire conversation
Understand why you chase, withdraw, defend, over-function, people-please, or go emotionally offline
Say what you actually need instead of turning your needs into a test your partner doesn’t know they’re taking
Take space without abandoning the conversation
Take accountability for your impact without shaming yourself for having a history
Repair after conflict in a way that changes the pattern instead of just producing another apology
Build more security inside yourself and your relationships without becoming some perfectly regulated robot who never gets triggered
This episode will also be the accountability nudge you might just need to grow. Because understanding yourself isn’t about giving yourself a new excuse; “I have an anxious attachment style” isn’t a free pass to make your partner responsible for regulating every uncomfortable feeling. “I shut down during conflict” doesn’t mean everyone around you has to accept that hard conversations never happen. Your history can explain your reactions, without getting to run the whole damn show. This is where the power is.
You’ll leave this episode empowered - with the new skill of being able to catch the moment where the old pattern usually takes over and ask, “Do I actually want to do this again?” You get to stop making the same move and being shocked when you land in the same place. Learn how to stay connected without disappearing inside the relationship, how to ask for what you need without abandoning yourself, and how to move through conflict without treating every hard moment like proof that something is fundamentally wrong.
So if you’ve ever thought, “Why am I like this in relationships?” or “Why do we keep having this SAME fight?” this episode is your map. Relationship patterns are learned - they’re practiced, they can feel automatic as hell. BUT they do not get the final say. This episode is about growing and healing, and it’ll transform your current relationships - with others, and yourself.

Your Brain Is Begging for These 5 Things (And it could help you prevent Alzheimer’s disease)
Show notes
You walk into a room and have absolutely no idea why you’re there. You can’t find the word you were JUST about to say. You’re exhausted, foggy, forgetful - and everyone tells you: welcome to motherhood.
But… what if we stopped brushing all of it off??
Today, Deena sits down with Emma Heming Willis and clinical psychologist Dr. Nicole Beurkens from Make Time Wellness for a fascinating (and refreshingly non-doom-and-gloom) conversation about women’s brain health and why we should be thinking about our brains LONG before there’s a problem - especially in the context of potential Alzheimer’s disease prevention.
We’re getting into brain fog, hormones, perimenopause, sleep, movement, stress, dementia risk, and the simple things we can start doing now to support our brains for the long haul. And thankfully, this is NOT another episode telling you to wake up at 5 a.m., meditate for 45 minutes, eat superfoods, hit 10,000 steps and become a completely different person by Tuesday.
You’ll learn:
• When brain fog and forgetfulness are part of a season (and when it’s worth talking to your doctor)
• The five basic pillars that support brain health over time
• What’s actually happening inside your brain while you sleep
• Why you absolutely do NOT need a perfect workout routine
• Why women are at greater risk for Alzheimer’s disease - and why prevention starts decades before we think it does
• How to advocate for yourself when a doctor tells you everything is “normal” but you know something feels offPlus why 10,000 steps is not the magical number we’ve been led to believe, why the exercise you’ll actually do wins, what your 30s and 40s have to do with your brain decades from now, and how to advocate for yourself when a healthcare provider dismisses what you know you’re feeling.
This isn’t about becoming afraid of getting older. It’s about realizing we have more power than we think - and your brain deserves to be part of the conversation NOW.

Would You Let Your Kid Do This? Our Most Unfiltered Parenting Takes
Show notes
Would you let your kid wear pajamas to school? Forget their homework and face the consequences? Tell Grandma they don’t want a hug? Quit a sport halfway through the season? Eat candy for breakfast? You probably have an immediate answer to at least a few of those. But here’s where it gets interesting: What if the parenting “rule” you’re following is actually making things harder for your kid… and for you?
SO much of parenting is spent wondering: Am I holding a healthy boundary…or am I fighting a battle that literally does not matter? Am I helping my kid…or rescuing them? Am I teaching resilience…or ignoring what my specific kid actually needs? If you’ve ever spiraled over whether you’re being too strict, too permissive, too involved, or somehow doing the exact thing that’s going to screw up your kid forever, this is the episode you need.
We're playing an unfiltered round of “Would You Let Your Kid...?” and get into the parenting decisions that sound black-and-white online but get a whole lot messier IRL.
We get into:
* Pajamas at school and how to know when a battle is actually worth fighting
* Forgotten homework and when helping is NOT the same thing as “rescuing”
* Why your kid should always be allowed to say no to a hug — even with Grandma
* Allowance, chores, and whether you let them blow their own money on something completely ridiculous
* Sleepovers, birthday party exclusions, and quitting a sport mid-season
* How neurodivergence can completely change what the “right” answer looks like
Between the hot takes and spicy debates, we get into the fact that there usually isn’t one clear answer for every kid. Sometimes it's yes. Sometimes it’s absolutely no. And sometimes you just have to know the kid standing in front of you before you can answer at all.
If you’ve been second-guessing your parenting lately, listen to this one. You might walk away realizing you can let go of way more than you thought.

Amanda Kloots Thought She’d “Conquer” Grief. Six Years Later, She Knows Better.
Show notes
If you watched Amanda Kloots during the early days of COVID, you probably remember her story. Her husband, Nick Cordero, spent 95 days in the hospital before dying from complications of COVID-19. Their son, Elvis, had just turned one. And Amanda was suddenly living a life she never, ever imagined for herself.
But this conversation isn't just about what Amanda lost. It's about everything that comes after.
Six years later, Amanda sits down with Kristin for an incredibly honest conversation about grief, motherhood, resilience, love, and what it means to keep building a life when the one you planned disappears.
Amanda opens up about something we don't talk about enough: you don't actually "get over" the people you lose. You don't have to stop loving them in order to love someone new. And finding moments of happiness doesn't mean you're grieving them any less.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- The tiny rule Amanda swore by to get her through her darkest days
- Why the best thing her friends did after Nick died involved almost no words at all
- The advice she'd immediately retire when talking to someone who's grieving,
- Why she refuses to pretend her marriage was perfect just because Nick is gone.
- Her perspective on what grieving people ACTUALLY need
We also talk about the signs Amanda still receives from Nick, raising Elvis with his dad's memory woven into their everyday life, her unexpected friendship with Harry Jowsey, and the part of her future she's still scared might never happen.
And maybe the biggest takeaway: grief and joy aren't opposites. You can be devastated and laugh. You can miss someone forever and still want something new. You can deeply love the life you have while still grieving the life you thought you'd have.
You'll leave this episode with a completely different perspective on grief, what it actually means to "move forward," and how to show up for someone you love when there truly are no right words.

We cover:
Back-to-school meltdowns and why your kid suddenly seems like a completely different person
What’s actually happening when kids hold it together all day at school and completely fall apart at home
How to make the back-to-school transition easier (and why now might be the time to LOWER demands)
Why three-year-olds can feel absolutely feral, and the small shifts that can prevent some of the biggest daily power struggles
New sibling jealousy, meltdowns, and helping your older child adjust to a new baby
What to do when YOU are completely at capacity
How to make time for therapy when you literally do not have one more hour to give
The mindset shift that can completely change how you think about taking care of your own mental health

Your Kid Lied to Your Face. Now What?
Show notes
If your kid has ever looked you directly in the eyes and lied, even when you KNOW they know that you know the truth…you probably know the immediate panic spiral:
Why are they lying to me? Is this normal? Can I trust them? If they're doing this at five, what happens when they're FIFTEEN?!
And suddenly, this isn't about who ate the cookie or knocked over the toy, you're imagining your teenager lying about where they are, who they're with, what happened at the party, or something much, much bigger.
But here's what most of us get wrong: If we want to raise kids who tell us the truth when it really matters, we have to be careful that our reaction to lying doesn't accidentally teach them that telling us the truth is dangerous.
In this episode, Deena puts on her child therapist hat and breaks down what's actually happening when kids lie and why lying doesn't automatically mean you're raising a dishonest kid. In fact, there are several completely different reasons kids lie, and each one needs a different response.
You'll leave this episode knowing why your kid is lying, what their lie is actually trying to accomplish, and exactly how to respond in the moment plus:
- What to say when you know they're lying
- When to use consequences
- Why you don't need to force a confession
- How to hold your boundary without making your kid afraid to tell you the truth next time.
Most importantly, you'll learn exactly what to say and do when your kid lies to your face, without being permissive, letting them "get away with it," shaming them, or turning the whole thing into a 45-minute interrogation.
Someday, the mistake won't be a stolen cookie, an iPad after bedtime, or marker on the table. It'll be something bigger. And in that moment, we want the thought that's louder than I'm going to be in so much trouble to be:
I need to tell my mom.

Billy Eichner: How His Parents Gave Him the Audacity to Be Himself
Show notes
If you've ever worried that loving your kid too much, supporting them too much, or NOT giving them enough "tough love" is going to leave them completely unprepared for the real world, you need to hear this episode.
Because Billy Eichner’s story might be the best evidence I've ever seen that the opposite of "tough love" is what actually makes a kid strong.
Billy's parents loved the absolute hell out of him. They celebrated exactly who he was, and when he grew up and faced more than a decade of rejection, that endless love from his parents didn't make him soft, it gave him the audacity to keep believing in himself. He went from not being able to get an agent to creating Billy on the Street, earning four Emmy nominations, and making history with the film Bros.
And THAT is where this conversation completely changed something for me. What if the way we prepare our kids for a hard world isn't by toughening them up, but by loving them so deeply that the world can't convince them to abandon themselves?
We talk about rejection, resilience, success, why even wildly successful people still fixate on the people who don't like them, and what Billy believes his parents gave him that made everything else possible. And then Billy says something every parent needs to hear: there is enough tough love waiting for our kids in the world. We don't have to be the ones who give it to them.
Whether you already love Billy Eichner or have no idea who he is, you will walk away from this episode knowing exactly how to raise an emotionally healthy, resilient, “strong” kid, and what they need most from us.

Is Everything Toxic Now?! Here’s What Parents Actually Need to Know
Show notes
File this under: things we genuinely did not realize we needed to know as parents. 🙃
Our kids spend SO MUCH of their lives sleeping, but… have you ever actually thought about what their mattress is made of? Yeah. Neither had we.
Today we’re joined by Arin Schultz, Chief Growth Officer at Naturepedic and dad of four, to pull back the curtain on mattresses: what can actually be inside them, why certain materials are worth knowing about, what all those certifications and “organic” labels actually mean, and what parents should look for when they’re shopping.
Most importantly: this is information, not another parenting assignment. Deena gets very real about how easily learning this stuff can tip from “good to know” into “OH GOD NOW I’M WORRIED ABOUT EVERYTHING,” and why none of us need to live our lives trying to eliminate every potentially questionable thing our kids will ever encounter.
And because this is After Bedtime, we obviously do not stay on mattresses. 😂 We somehow end up debating whether sharing a drink with your own child is absolutely disgusting, hearing what it’s REALLY like to raise four boys, and, perhaps most importantly, adding Arin to the growing list of podcast guests Deena has recruited to help make her case for baby #4.
You’ll leave knowing a little more about something your kids spend a huge chunk of their lives on, what’s actually worth looking for, and a few realistic options for making a change if and when it makes sense for your family. No throwing your entire house away required.

If We Could Only Teach Our Kids 5 Things, It Would Be This
Show notes
What if the most important thing you ever teach your child isn't a parenting strategy... it's a belief they'll carry for the rest of their life?
Someday our children are going to get their heart broken, they'll fail, They'll wonder if they're enough, they'll navigate in tricky relationships, they'll be choosing career paths. And in those moments, they won't remember your lecture about cleaning their room, but they will remember what they believe about themselves.
In this episode, fan favorite VP Hype Squad (my husband) is back, and we share the five beliefs we're intentionally trying to pass on to our kids, the things that will shape every friendship, relationship, career, and decision our kids make for the rest of their lives.
You'll leave this episode knowing:
The belief that protects kids from becoming lifelong people-pleasers.
How to raise a child who doesn't spend their life trying to earn love or approval.
The one mindset shift that completely changes what you focus on as a parent.
Five core beliefs that will outlast every parenting hack, consequence, and script.
This ended up becoming one of my favorite conversations we've ever had. It's about parenting, yes. But it's also about us. The beliefs we inherited, the ones we're still trying to unlearn, and the ones worth passing on instead. I have a feeling this is going to be one you'll think about long after it ends.

Stassi Schroeder Tells All: House of Stassi, Her Marriage to Beau & the Vanderpump Rules Years
Show notes
BESTIES. STASSI SCHROEDER IS HERE.
The woman. The icon. The mother of reality television. The person many of us have watched, quoted, defended, occasionally screamed at through our televisions, and essentially grown up alongside is sitting down with us for one of our biggest episodes ever.
And she tells us EVERYTHING.
In this exclusive conversation, Stassi takes us behind the scenes of her highly anticipated new show, House of Stassi, including what really happens between her and Beau, why filming became the most effective form of therapy she has ever had, and the finale she says is absolutely insane.
She opens up about rebuilding her entire life after leaving Vanderpump Rules, the unexpected way her reality television comeback came together, filming with her mom despite their deeply complicated history, and why Beau took her request for “complete honesty” on camera much further than she anticipated.
We also talk about the side of motherhood people rarely admit out loud: dreading the weekends, feeling bored during the baby stage, going back to work two weeks postpartum because she was terrified of feeling isolated again, and the guilt she carried when Beau became the primary parent.
Plus: her Sports Illustrated runway era, the cosmetic procedure she got at 17, the beauty trend she refuses to participate in, her current Bravo-adjacent obsession, and the surprising truth about what Stassi is actually like when the cameras stop rolling.
This is Stassi at her funniest, most honest, and most unfiltered, and she gives us an exclusive look at the marriage, family dynamics, friendships, and behind-the-scenes reality TV moments everyone is about to be talking about.
Cancel your plans. Put the kids to bed. We are transcending today.

Amanda Frances on RHOBH: What You Didn't See on TV
Show notes
If you've been watching The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, this is the conversation you've been waiting for. Amanda Frances joins us fresh off her first season on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to pull back the curtain on what it was really like stepping into one of the biggest reality shows on TV with no strategy, no Bravo game plan, and honestly... no idea what she was getting herself into.
We talk about what filming is actually like, what surprised her most, the moments that never made sense until she was living them, and how she learned to find her voice in a room where everyone else seemed to know the rules except her. But this episode goes way beyond Housewives. Amanda opens up about motherhood, building a wildly successful business, hiring help without guilt, navigating internet hate, and the neurodivergence journey that completely changed how she understands herself.
It's one of those conversations that starts with Bravo and somehow ends up being about motherhood, identity, success, and staying true to yourself. In this episode, we cover:
- What it's really like filming The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
- The behind-the-scenes moments Bravo fans never get to see
- The surprising moment Amanda finally found her voice on the show
- Mom guilt, childcare, and why asking for help feels so hard
- Building a successful business while raising young kids
- The truth about internet criticism, and how she protects her peace
- ADHD, masking, neurodivergence, and the identity shift that changed everything

She walks through EVERYTHING that has helped her surivive parenting while her husband is away and Kristin helps to unpack that guilt that so she (and so many parents) carries.

Your Hardest Parenting Questions, Answered ⭐
Show notes
Why does your child completely shut down anytime you bring up feelings? Should you actually ignore tantrums... or is that some of the worst parenting advice we've been given? And if your child is potty trained during the day but still having accidents at night... is something wrong?
In this Q&A episode, we're answering the parenting questions we hear over and over again—the ones that leave even thoughtful, loving parents second-guessing themselves and wondering if they're getting it all wrong.
We cover:
- Nighttime potty training (and what's actually developmentally normal)
- Whether you should ignore tantrums (spoiler: we have thoughts)
- What to do when your child refuses to talk about their feelings
- Why some kids completely shut down when emotions come up
- Healthy ways to help kids express anger instead of stuffing it down
- How to build emotional intelligence without making your child feel pressured or overwhelmed
- The science behind why connection, not punishment, is what actually helps kids learn emotional regulation
You'll walk away knowing exactly what actually helps kids build emotional regulation, why anger deserves a complete rebrand, and how the way many of us were raised is still shaping the way we parent today. And we can almost guarantee there's one idea in this episode that you'll think about during your child's very next meltdown, and it'll change how you respond.
Plus:
Kristin and Deena discover they are complete opposites when it comes to movie theaters, sleepovers, and basically existing as humans, Deena explains why she'd happily skip every girls' trip forever, and Kristin has a surprisingly emotional realization about anger that might just change the way you think about your own emotions, too.
